Has there ever been a time when we haven't had a vice president?
John Adams was sworn in as our first Vice President in 1789 and in the 234 years since then, we've gone without a VP for 37 years and 290 days.
Until the ratification of the Twenty-Fifth Amendment, there was no mechanism for filling a vacancy in the Vice Presidency, so in several instances we've gone almost entire Presidential terms without a Vice President.
7 Vice Presidents Died In Office: •George Clinton (Jefferson's second VP & Madison's first VP), died April 20, 1812, leaving the Vice Presidency vacant for 318 days. •Elbridge Gerry (Madison's second VP), died November 23, 1814, leaving a vacancy for 2 years, 101 days. •William Rufus DeVane King (Pierce's VP), died April 18, 1853, leaving a vacancy for 3 years, 320 days. •Henry Wilson (Grant's second VP), died November 22, 1875, leaving a vacancy for 1 year, 102 days. •Thomas A. Hendricks (Cleveland's first VP), died November 24, 1885, leaving a vacancy for 3 years, 99 days. •Garret A. Hobart (McKinley's first VP), died November 21, 1899, leaving a vacancy for 1 year, 103 days. •James S. Sherman (Taft's VP), died October 30, 1912, leaving a vacancy for 125 days.
2 Vice Presidents Resigned: •John C. Calhoun (VP under John Quincy Adams and Jackson's first VP), resigned on December 28, 1832, leaving a vacancy for 66 days. •Spiro Agnew (Nixon's first VP), resigned on October 10, 1973, leaving a vacancy for 57 days.
9 Vice Presidents Succeeded to the Presidency: •John Tyler (William Henry Harrison's VP), assumed office upon President Harrison's death on April 4, 1841, leaving a VP vacancy for 3 years, 333 days. •Millard Fillmore (Taylor's VP), assumed office upon President Taylor's death on July 9, 1850, leaving a VP vacancy for 2 years, 238 days. •Andrew Johnson (Lincoln's second VP), assumed office upon President Lincoln's death on April 15, 1865, leaving a VP vacancy for 3 years, 323 days. •Chester Arthur (Garfield's VP), assumed office upon President Garfield's death on September 19, 1881, leaving a VP vacancy for 3 years, 166 days. •Theodore Roosevelt (McKinley's second VP), assumed office upon President McKinley's death on September 14, 1901, leaving a VP vacancy for 3 years, 171 days. •Calvin Coolidge (Harding's VP), assumed office upon President Harding's death on August 2, 1923, leaving a VP vacancy for 1 year, 214 days. •Harry S. Truman (FDR's third VP), assumed office upon President Roosevelt's death on April 12, 1945, leaving a VP vacancy for 3 years, 283 days. •Lyndon B. Johnson (JFK's VP), assumed office upon President Kennedy's death on November 22, 1963, leaving a VP vacancy for 1 year, 59 days. •Gerald Ford (Nixon's second VP), assumed office upon President Nixon's resignation on August 9, 1974, leaving a VP vacancy for 132 days.
Only two Vice Presidential vacancies have been filled under the provisions of the 25th Amendment. Gerald Ford was appointed to the Vice Presidency by President Nixon following Spiro Agnew's resignation in October 1973 and was confirmed by Congress in December 1973 (a nominee to fill a Vice Presidential vacancy must be confirmed separately by a majority vote of both chambers of Congress). On August 9, 1974, Nixon resigned as President and Ford succeeded to the White House, leaving the Vice Presidency vacant for the second time in less than a year. President Ford nominated Nelson Rockefeller as Vice President on August 20 and he was confirmed by Congress in December 1974.

my spreadsheet (public version)
so i have this spreadsheet that i use for prompts for this fandom, comprised of several prompt lists and the exact order of which is not easily publicly available. if you want to send me a prompt, send me a ship and a number between 1-725 (subject to change) and receive a sort of mystery box surprise of a fic. through the use of this list, you can see what prompts have already been done. if it’s for another ship, you can certainly send me the same prompt that was already used in another fic. if a prompt has been used three times, that prompt will be closed. thank you for your cooperation <3 listing under the cut!
possible progress statuses: prompted, in progress, editing, posted. if a prompt does not have one of these statuses, it has not been sent in thus far.

Supermarionation Comics Collection
Something I’ve been working on a while, and want to share with the fans of the various Supermarionation shows!
I’ve been compiling a collection of all the comics for the Supermarionation shows (and comic-only ‘series’ of originals like Agent 21) in my gDrive with the intent of sharing it with the fanbase
And I’ve currently got it as complete as I currently can!
So now comes the time to share it!! ^_^
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1r1GFSAyatTzmWzTl9PFH6I4dqZyssJWl?usp=share_link
This link is set to editor so that everyone can download the comic scans to read them, but I ask that people please do not edit or delete the files and folders there!  (I have off-gDrive backups, but still)
I also have a gSheet ‘Comic Scan List’ file where I list the comic collections and what issues I’m missing.  If you have a scan to one of the missing issues, or have a physical copy of a missing issue that you can scan in, please let me know so I can add it to the collection! ^^
I have about half of the Annuals, Storybooks, and Specials
The TV Comic (Supercar & Fireball) is incomplete, but I’ve got about 2/3rds of it
I have no scans of the short Gold Key (Supercar & Fireball) run
The TV Century 21 -> TV21 -> TV21 & Joe 90 comics run is 100% complete       This is one of, if not the, most popular run of comics in the Anderverse fandom, so I’m really glad to have all the issues present!       The Action 21, Century 21 and Thunderbirds are Go, which were reprints of the TV21, are all 100% complete as well.
Lady Penelope’s stand alone comic magazine is incomplete.  I have the first 2/3rds of it, but I’m missing the final third.
The Solo comics ‘Mark of the Mysterons’ (issues19-31) is incomplete, missing 3 issues
TV Tornado’s ‘The Mysterons’ (issues 36-58) is complete
TV21 & Joe90: New Series is complete
Countdown is complete
Supermarionation is Go! (no comic issues but lots of fun behind the scenes info) is complete
Fleetway’s New Stingray (Volume 1 & Volume 2) is complete
Funday Times (issues 110-273) is incomplete, I’ve got about half of the issues
Fleetway’s New Thunderbirds is complete
Fleetway’s Captain Scarlet is complete
I have no scans for the Sunday Comics (issues 214-290) Captain Scarlet run
I have issues 1-89 of the Redan Thunderbirds comics, but I thiiiiiiiink there’s more issues?  Maybe?  I’m honestly not sure ^^;;

[HOT-THEQOO] 231231 Gayo Daejejeon MCs held an eye-opening party with their perfect visual combination in real time.jpg
Tumblr media
At time of posting 1 Jan 1.30am KST: 53K views, 290 comments (will translate YoonA + non-repetitive comments)
1. The visuals are insane 2. YoonA is so pretty ㅠ The visual party of the MCs are awesome 3. Thank you for the combination of this trio 4. This really opens my eyes 5. Wow.. 8. Wow, my eyes are open, and the sense of stability they provided is amazing 9. This is it 11. So good...... 12. YoonA is really an angel... 15. The gathering of deers only 19. The faces and the progression are both stable.. 20. All three of them are really trustworthy. Infinite trustworthy 22. I am cancelling my LASIK surgery next year. My eyes are really opened. 24. YoonA is so pretty. I am the only one getting oldㅜ 28. Indeed, my eyes are fully opened. This totally deserves a free pass award. 30. Wow, I really like the colours 33. YoonA is really like the identity of Gayo Daejejeon 35. All three of them have visuals that are comfortable to look at. YoonA is insane 37. I think the colour and texture of YoonA’s dress are great 39. So handsome and pretty. And you all hosted well 51. YoonA is insane...... 54. Wow Minho, YoonA and Minho are dazzling. Minhyun is so white 55. It was a visual party and their hosting are so comfortable to watch. The ‘My Dream Patisserie’ dance challenge was so cute ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 63. My eyes have gotten clearer and brighter 67. This is it. Yes, my eyes have been cleansed. 75. Aside from being handsome and pretty, the combination is harmonious and stable. 76. YoonA is so freaking gorgeous even though she is wearing a pink dress.. 79. Who came up with this combination? Both the visuals and hosting are so comfortable to watch ㅋㅋㅋ 84. Minho and Minhyun are both 181cm tall, so all three of them are tall. 88 . Pink YoonA is really so pretty 91. All three of them have mesmerizing eyes 95. No, but I think their faces match perfectly. The vibes of the three? It is similar. 97. For end of year MCs, please stop with the middle-aged men and young women combination and do it like this, everyone. 98. I am just thankful 103. It is a flower garden. The visuals are really great ㅠㅠ
107. I am going to see pretty things at the end of the year as well as the start of next year. This is a feast for the eyes.
109. It is perfect that YoonA is the oldest among them. And not a combination of middle-aged men and young women ㅋㅋㅋ 115. I am watching the program, and it is going on so smoothly 116. You are really the best, YoonA ya ㅠㅠㅠ 130. YoonA is so pretty. 135. It is a deer partyㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 137. The gathering of elves 140. The colour tone of the male MCs’ suits are about the same, and YoonA’s colour is really pretty ㅜㅜThis is the gathering of the deers ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 155. It’s even better if you watch the video. YoonA unnie is insane 159. The combination after Suho – YoonA – Cha Eun Woo *trembling* 161. Is YoonA a goddess for real? 169. Happiness.. This is indeed year end music festival ㅜ ㅜ 174. My eyes are happy 191. They look like cousins because they have similar vibes ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 197. As expected, it is right for good-looking people to be the MCs 203. YoonA’s voice has a moderately low-pitched tone, so it is easy to listen to her and her voice is really nice. In addition, she is so prettyㅠㅠ 204. Proportion kings, face kings 205. I think the quality of the TV also become clearer 207. I clicked in, wondering just how pretty it is, and then I exited the article thinking ‘oh my god’ 211. Minho and YoonA’s vibes are exactly the same. 212. Isn’t YoonA a human Azalea (flower)? Her eyes are so mesmerizing, I guess it is spring now. 214. YoonA and Minho are the best MCs 224. Hwang Minhyun is stable at MC too. I thought YoonA is a human Azalea. It is a pretty and handsome party   226. Are you insane, YoonA? She is such a freaking goddess, all three of them are like flower deers ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ 234. Aren’t Minho and YoonA from the same family...? 245. YoonA’s vocal tone is perfect for hosting,,,, 262. The three of them please take a photo together 👍👍👍 263. They look like Disney material.. The visuals are insane 264. YoonA is good at MC job 269. I have watched a lot two shots of Minho and YoonA, and they are always easy on the eyes and makes my mood better 290. In my opinion, the three of them (their looks) are legendary in Part 2 (of MBC Gayo Daejejeon) 🖤💛🖤

It’s 2023 and it’s time for my yearly* count of Stiles-ship fics on AO3. (*I unintentionally skipped 2022 because I tried to learn to Python to automate the counting process, ran into too many obstacles, and then kind of just never got around to manually counting like I usually do)
Disclaimers:
This is by no means an exhaustive list of all possible Stiles pairings
I have not excluded fics tagging them as secondary/background pairings
I’m only counting fics tagged using AO3’s canonical relationship tags
The numbers do include restricted fics, so you would see a smaller number if you’re logged out
When I say “total” I mean “gross” (and when I say “gross”, I mean in a NUMERICAL way, such as gross income, and NOT a judgmental way)
ship / total # fics (change since 2021) [sterek] derek / 70,613 (+5,535) [steter] peter / 10,710 (+2,075) [stydia] lydia / 4,824 (+334) [sciles] scott / 3,762 (+201) [stackson] jackson / 1,830 (+214) [stalia] malia / 1,425 (+71) [steo] theo / 1,339 (+290) [stisaac] isaac / 1,315 (+48) [stargent] chris / 890 (+189) [stanny] danny / 846 (+18) [stoyd] boyd / 629 (+339) [stallison] allison / 444 (+30) [starrish] parrish / 399 (+50) [sterica] erica / 351 (+13) [steucalion] deucalion / 303 (+58) [stora] cora / 279 (+12) [stiam] liam / 182 (+23) [stira] kira / 81 (+12)
The notable changes since 2021:
Steo has significantly grown, and it’s overtaken Stisaac as I suspected it would based on the trajectory from 2020 to 2021
Stargent has also overtaken Stanny as I predicted
Surprising me, Stoyd has had massive growth spurt and jumped several places up, past Stallison, Starrish, and Sterica
Steucalion has had a bit of a boost, jumping above Stora
Thankfully there’s no one on the list who’s had a negative change this time, but this is also a count of two years instead of one
Considering that I skipped a year, what’s interesting is how Sterek has now only grown by 5.5k in two years when it last grew by 5.5k in one year. The same could be said about Steter, Stydia, Sciles, and Stackson, which do not show double growth either
