aaah, I just found your work and it’s so good! I love the way the you craft sentences to paint these super vivid pictures that cut to the root of human emotions, both extraordinary and mundane. what authors would you say are your biggest inspirations?

okay so i'll level with you, i have no idea how to respond to the first part because i'm marlene, but the rest of it, i can do! genuinely, a lot of my inspiration to write comes from my older siblings, who have been my writing community for my entire life. my sister straight up taught me how to read and write (at probably too young of an age because she was bored with the idea that i couldn't play school with them, but moving right along), and i have spent so much time with them developing this craft together.
