Dark Mahito Thoughts™️ of the day:
There are a few things humans can do that Mahito can’t - because he can’t experience them for himself, he’s fascinated by them. His favorite is the concept of intoxication. This strange thing that humans do to themselves, voluntarily, purely because of the pleasure they find in it.
It only takes one night of lurking under neon signs for him to realize that humans act differently when their tongues are coated in a specific kind of drink. They lower their inhibitions, talk to strangers, stumble into the streets, make decisions they’re sure to regret. And they enjoy it. More than that - they revel in it. It’s a silly thing, and although he cackles at the sight, he’s also deeply curious about it. Aren’t they scared to be so vulnerable? Don’t they know that there might be consequences if they stray too far from familiar faces?
Surely, they do. And it must be worth it to them, anyways. It must be a wonderful experience for them, to be so detached from reality that they forget to be wary. They usually have their guards up. It’s fascinating to see them fall.
Humans do make stupid decisions sometimes. And he revels in those moments, too, although he can’t experience them for himself. He’s very good at living vicariously. It’s easy, when one is invisible. He can get close enough to smell the drink on their breaths, to feel the heat radiating from their bodies - and even closer than that, if he wants.
He tests the limits. Will this human, dancing in a crowd under flashing lights, notice a hand slide over her shoulder? If not - what if it falls briefly to her waist, or her thigh? And if she notices - will it scare her? Will she bother to look back at him? Will she think it was another human? Will she assume it was an accident?
Will she see him? It’s not out of the question - human perception changes under the influence. Their eyes change, and their souls along with them.
She’ll know something’s wrong once she leaves the crowd, and topples out into the street, directly into his arms. She’ll wake up from the haze - her eyes will widen, and she’ll put up a faint, confused struggle. He’ll try to reassure her, to tell her that he’s only curious, that she’ll be just fine, that she’ll enjoy his company, but she won’t understand, as hard as he tries.
Then again - humans don’t grasp much at all when they’re in this state. It’s one of the most entertaining things about it: the strange vacancy on their faces, the unintelligibility of their conversations, their ridiculous, futile attempts at comprehension.
But she won’t be like this forever. In the morning, she’ll understand. And if she doesn’t, he’ll try again. Humans are slow to accept, but they can’t hold out forever. Eventually, they all fall back into reality.

Fun fact, I actually really like Mountain Dew Red. So. Kinda ironic
Also fun fact two: You know how in the Squip Song there's that part where Rich's voice starts getting sorta robot-y? Yeah. My voice actually sounds like that except a bit deeper. And also a bit more southern. Not as southern as the other Striders though

Grian, the amazing waffle lord was highly respected and revered throughout the ancient kingdom of Hermitcraft Season 6. One day, in a later rendition of the sacred kingdom, for there had been many, a new member joined. Though unbeknownst to the other members of the sacred land, she was traitorous. Christened as Pearlescent Moon, often called Pearl, she sought to bring down the mighty waffle lord.
One day, the mischievous daughter of the goddess of untruths and the ruler of the universe did sacrilege. She dared to pour water on the lord of waffles head, for his hair was made of the thing he ruled over. She called at him, teasing him about being soggy waffles. Then, she did the unforgivable. She sold him at a market, for none recognized him as the mighty lord.
Pearlescent Moon, who was at the market that day, realized her one in a million opportunity to make a fool of this powerful god. She bargained a lot, in fact, a bundle of diamonds and two blocks of solid metal, forged in the underworld. Many of Pearlescent Moon’s riches went into this deal, for she did not want to take any risks in her plan.
When the lord of waffles awoke, for he had been sleeping, he was baffled. He had never been mistreated before. He was locked in a cell, deep in a dungeon. And the waffle lord Grian was soon forgotten by all the civilization.

The infinite sadness vibes of the fallen rebel Obi-Wan post! The idea of Obi-Wan letting Leia take him out. Of Bail, and let's face it, Obi-Wan himself too, knowing that someday Obi-Wan will outlive his usefulness and need to be put down. Ouch! 10/10 would read. Call it the "enemy of my enemy AU" or something :P
i think this obi-wan would be living his almost every moment sort of just like. waiting to die cause like what he falls into is not living at all!! none of the comforts of the clone wars are there---no temple to return to, no grandpadawan to help teach, no 212th to live with and banter with.
not to mention the rebellion isn't killing droids, they're killing people. they're killing brainwashed clones for a few years and then they're killing Imperial soldiers.
once, obi-wan would have balked at that.
but not this obi-wan.
it's half the reason he knows in his bones it's almost his time to go, that there's only so much good he's capable of doing still

Y’know that bar scene where Loid misinterpreted Yor as actually harboring romantic feelings and freaked out only to push forward and go with it and then Yor freaked out when she thought he was actually wanting to get married for real
Similar to the almost-kiss scene where they’re both fine being like “yeah pretend marriage :D” (but still end up being close and seeing eachother as more than just a mutually beneficial business transaction) but then any time the implication of actual romance shows up whether they know the other is faking or not they both Fucking Panic and I love it

Ok, but imagine Sun just being at his breaking point. Like, he's just... upset, frustrated, and just done. But he keeps acting like he's happy because he's gotten it into his head that he has to be happy. That's it. Just happiness and nothing else. Moon tries to tell him it's ok, but he doesn't listen.
Sun manages to convince himself he's ok... But then y/n asks "Are you ok...?" and Sun's walls just- collapse in on themselves. Ends up crying himself (somehow) to exhaustion because he's been keeping it in all this time. So y/n stays with him until he wakes up.
Anyways, that's my thoughts for tonight. How are y'all? :)

Don't think I've posted this before but this was a college assignment I did like a year ago that I just completely forgot to post.
We were supposed to make a traditional piece inspired by other artists or pieces of media, mine was inspired by Darkwood. I used copic markers and pen.
I might redo this digitally at one point since I do want to make weirder art, and I feel like I could have done better than this.
