✵ honestly, they’ve probably barely spoken since then and neither knew the other was coming

✵ but when you two end up at the snack table at the same time while your boyfriend is in the bathroom, you entirely oblivious and them walking on eggshells, they break the ice

✵ and you’re kind of irked at how surprised you are when they’re so sweet to you

✵ with how quick hj had been all night to steer you away from them, you were expecting venom and violence and god knows what else. but they’re kind and nice to talk to and honestly seem a little wary of you if anything (should they be?)

✵ it’s not until they stop talking mid-sentence and you feel an arm slip around your waist, making you jump a little—hj doesn’t do skinship normally, much less in public—and you turn to see a mess of emotions swirling behind his eyes that everything falls into place

✵ the conversation is quick and stilted on matter what, and he keeps his hand on you somehow the whole time

✵ if they’re petty, he’s having none of it. he’ll cut them off mid-sentence, chastise them for their actions and drag you back out the front doors. it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been there, you’re heading back home for a movie night in. snacks, drinks, and cuddles are all on hj as a form of apology

✵ if they’re kind, he’ll stay and make slightly-awkward small talk for a while, with you acting as a buffer to keep the tense silences from getting too long. when they finally leave you, he’s staring after them with a slightly pained expression, and you have to tap his shoulder to bring him back to you. in this version, you’re the one to suggest movie night

✵ either way, he apologizes for the way he acted when you get home, and you’re… kind of stunned, reassuring him that you understand why he acted the way he did

✵ if they’re kind, you probably see them a few times throughout the night. they talk for the longest out of any of his acquaintances, and they’ll stop by your guys’ table once you settle down for the evening

✵ overall, it’s a net positive experience for both of you. you enjoy seeing hwa catching up with his old friends, and he appreciates you coming with him and talking with his friends so much

✵ either one of his friends has to point it out or he literally runs into them, i truly don’t know which is more likely

✵ no matter how, it results in a short-circuiting sangie and some rapid blinking as he wrangles himself back into his brain

✵ you have to introduce yourself to stall for him while you lace your fingers and pull him back from whatever cloud his soul sailed off to

✵ he’s another that doesn’t really want to spend too much time talking to someone he has a history with, especially out of respect for you (whether you mind or not)

✵ if they’re petty, he’s immediately more flustered and stumbling over his words a little. yeo doesn’t strike me as the type to date someone who’s even remotely petty, so this either means his ex had a hidden side or has gone through a major character change, and he’s just… stunned. he’s flashing you apologetic looks and reaching for your hand (if he isn’t holding it already) while he tries to efficiently but kindly break the conversation off

💚: What does everyone else get wrong about your favourite character?

i'd say that everyone gets thomas wrong, but i actually think the problem is that thomas gets no character development, because the writers don't allow it. he's incredibly emotionally stunted because his development is walked back and joked about in pretty much every series. thomas never gets over his obsession! the creepiness is never truly interrogated and just brushed off! so yeah, he is a creep, because he's never allowed to be anything else. beyond that, his life is genuinely really tragic and horrifying if you stop and think about it - he was only a kid, and he was manipulated into death. yeah, he was a bit stupid, but he didn't deserve to die because he was kind of an idiot. and he's treated like a joke by everyone else around him for said incredibly traumatising death. poor boy needs a hug and better friends.

as for humphrey and sophie - i really wish everyone would stop trying to blame one or the other for their communication issues and just accept that they were unhinged. i definitely don't think they'd work romantically within the context of canon, but i also think it would be useful to acknowledge a) that their marriage is fucking weird (even assuming humphrey was the heir to an earldom, it's beyond unrealistic that he'd marry a french noblewoman; this is 1558, not 1158!) and b) that he would have expected to be married off at a young age to someone he didn't love because that's the cultural expectation of nobles at that time. it's a mildly more compelling take on an arranged marriage than most historical romances, but ultimately it still kind of falls into the trap of treating arranged marriage with twenty-first century eyes of 'oh my god, this is horrifying!' rather than the sixteenth century 'yeah it sucks, but that's how the system (horrifying in itself) works'. also, for the last fucking time - they would not have been expected to consummate the marriage when sophie was 12. they wouldn't even have been expected to live together for several years. in fact, they probably would've married at a slightly older age - maybe 14 and 16, or 15 and 17. oh, also? humphrey should speak french, but sophie should speak english (to him, that is) anyway, because they live in fucking england. have i missed anything? probably. ah, yes: en français contradicts humphrey's character - he does listen, he does try to communicate, and it's not his fault sophie doesn't. yᵉ ende.

💖: What is your biggest unpopular opinion about the series?

well i don't know if you've noticed but i don't like havers! i think generally my most unpopular opinion is just that some of the writing is, in fact, bad, and that's fine. it's an overall good show, but series five is imo a bit lacking. which, again - most shows aren't perfect. also, i just don't really care about the captain (and, by extension, havers). there's nothing wrong with him, i just don't find his story particularly compelling - for me personally, thomas and humphrey resonate far more as lonely, isolated souls. and i really think havers is flat and not at all tragic. the captain's death had no emotional weight for me. which is fine, it's just not for me - but i don't get the interest.

Prologue - First Day

Summary: You just got to Star Cas and get some unexpected help with moving in

✦•······················•✦•······················•✦

It hasn’t been long since the funeral for Nagi has taken place, and you’re already moving into his old place and shop now. You never planned on moving to Star Cas in the first place, but after being left with the old potion shop in Nagi’s will, you felt it wouldn’t be right to not take it over. Considering how important his role as potion maker was in this town and as someone who was personally trained by Nagi himself, you felt like it wouldn’t take much to be able to fill that role that was left empty by his death.

You look over at the building before you. It was a combination of a shop and home. The home being on the second floor, above the actual shop area itself. The inside has been cleared out, clean for its new owner. As you looked through the front window of the shop and its dark insides, two people approach from the side and alert you of their presence.

“Ah, good to see you’re here early.” A tall man with white long hair in a low ponytail gives you a lazy wave.

“Good to finally meet you!” Besides the man was another person, a woman who was on the taller side as well with orange hair and bunny ears, “I’m Bree! This is Barrett” Bree gestures towards the man. “We were told to meet up with you to help with your move in.” Bree flexes towards you, proudly showing off her guns as a silent way to tell you she’s more than fit for the job.

“Oh-!” You piped up in surprise. “I really thought I was going to haver to do this all on my own!”

“No worries,” Barrett walks over to you and holds out his hand. “We wouldn’t let Nagi’s good friend all on their own now, would we?” You gladly shook his hand.

“Anyways, just tell what goes where and we’ll move it for ya!” Bree explains the strategy, seemingly excited to move your stuff for you.

“You sure about that?” You asked, “I don’t want to load all the work to you guys!” You didn’t want to feel rude on your first official day living here.

“Its all good my friend” Barrett walks over to your wagon and takes out a box, “We practically booked our day off to help you out, plus you’ll need the rest after getting to Star Cas in the first place.” He did bring up a good point. The time to get here from your old town took a few good hours, and you barely got any sleep last night just to prepare for this at the last minute.

“Well, it is true I am a bit tired…” You trailed off giving yourself a moment to think. “If you guys really insist on doing all the moving, I’m not gonna stop you.” Bree smiles at your words.

“Alright! Let’s get to work then!” She takes one of the boxes from the wagon and brings it in before you could tell her where to put it in the first place.

“Thank you so much you two” You smile towards them after an hour or two of bringing in your items and setting them in the right rooms. “I probably wouldn’t been able to do this all in the first place without your help”

“Like I said, its all good” Barrett waves his hand as if this whole thing was never hassle in the first place.

“Oh!” Bree suddenly remembers, “I got some stuff at my farm to bring over for you!” She points to the general location of where said farm is. “Something me and my family put together to help you settle in as you get yourself used to Star Cas”

“You’re too kind!” You couldn’t help to feel a little spoiled right now.

“Yeah, let me quickly get it-“And with that, Bree starts to sprint to her home to get your home warming gift.

“Trust me when I say this.” Barrett says as you both watch the bunny girl run into the distance, “their fresh food is the best”

“I can believe you on that” You replied, excited to get some kind of food in you after a long day of moving. “I have been to Star Cas a few times in the past to visit Nagi, but its been a good while since I last been here”

“Oh, is that so?” Barrett questions. You nod your head.

“Yeah,” You confirmed, “Nagi mostly visited my town for ingredients and other errands which is how I got to meet him in the first place.”

“So, you’re Nagi?” You asked the light blue haired man. He nods.

“Yep! I’ve heard of some unique flora in this area, so I decided to check to see if they can be any use to me and my potions.” You can’t help but to feel curious about what he was talking about.

“Potions? You brew potions?” He nods again.

“Not really a big deal, but its something that I really hold dear.” He opens his backpack and brings out a worn-down notebook and opens it to a random page. The pages are yellow, aged from constant use. There were a few years here and there, but not enough damaged to prove anything concerning.

“There’s a lot going on with that notebook” You point it out as if he didn’t already know that.

“Just something I’ve had for a good while now” Nagi points out. He quickly skims over the words and does a notable ‘ah’, as if he found something he was looking for. “Right here is a basic potion to help clean infections” You look over the ingredients and brewing method to bring it all together. “Its nothing too fancy, but a lot of doctors use this one to help with fresh cuts on the skin”

“Wow!” Even if it was basic in his eyes, it was something completely new to you. “What else can you make?” Nagi smiles at your question and turns to another page.

You smile at the memory that suddenly took place in your mind. That meeting with Nagi was many years ago, both of you still very young when it happened. It wasn’t long afterwards that Nagi would sometimes teach you a thing or two about his potion making skills as you were always willing to learn what he was doing.

Without noticing, you started to cry.

“Hey, you okay?” Barrett looks over at you with some concern, placing a hand on your shoulder bringing you back to reality and the now. You jumped a little from the sudden contact but steadied yourself not too long afterwards.

“Nothing bad,” You bring a hand up to wipe away the few tears that streamed down your face. “Just thinking about Negi…”. Barrett takes a moment not to say anything before talking again.

“I feel ya on that.” He sighs, “Nagi was a good person. Everyone liked him. Almost saw him as a son” He admits.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to bring the mood down” You apologized.

“Its okay,” Barrett comforts you, “its still… a fresh wound for all of us who knew him” You shifted in your spot. “But,” he spoke again, “I’m sure we can all get through this together” Even with all the sudden sadness, you couldn’t help but to feel a little hope for the future.

“Guys! I got the food basket!” Bree’s voice could be heard in the distance as he quickly made her way back to you two. Once in front of you, she gladly holds the large wicker basket full of colourful foods and fruits. There were also some animal products ranging from milk, cheese and eggs. You couldn’t help but to be overwhelmed by this gift.

“That’s- a lot!” You couldn’t believe your eyes.

“Yep! We made sure to make sure you had everything you needed!” Bree does a little laugh, proud of her family’s efforts to help you. You took the wicker basket, which had some weight to it to no one’s surprise considering the number of items in it. “You’re always welcome to swing by the farm if you need anything, our door is open to you!” she gives a nice hearty slap to your back, almost making you drop the basket, which quickly earns a small, but silly, ‘sorry’ from the taller woman.

“Now, thankfully Nagi was able to keep this place in top shape, but if you ever find yourself in need of upgrades-“Barrett’s words suddenly stopped with Bree gave a slap to his back as well.

“Come on old man, they just got here! No need to do a sales pitch” She scolded him with a friendly tone to her voice.

“Just letting them know, that’s all” Barrett puts his hands up in defense about his actions. He then turns to you. “Aside from that, just let either one of us know if you need anything.”

“Thanks again you two, I really mean it” You smiled.

“It’s a ok!” Bree gave a thumbs up at you, “As much as I’ll love to stay here, I need to make sure my siblings get to bed on time. Ma and pops asked me to do so”

“And I’ll be heading off too, this old man needs to get back home and make dinner” He pats your shoulder and gives it a nice firm squeeze. “Have a good night kid, and welcome to Star Cas”

Barrett and Bree made their way to their homes as you set the wicker basket on the kitchen table. You took a piece of cheese to get something in you from the long day you’ve had. It was great.

The next morning, you woke up and took a deep breath. Today was your first official day in Star Cas. You’ve already put the food away in the kitchen before heading to bed, just to have some kind of peace of mind knowing your morning self wouldn’t need to do it.

Getting dressed and after having breakfast, you walked downstairs to the shop area of the building. The displays and shelves were empty, making the entire place a fresh slate for you. The counter with the cash register was near the back of the big room, and behind the counter was a door to another area.

In the other room was where the magic, quite literally, happened. The big metal caldron with a fireplace below it was the main center piece of this room. Also cleaned out and ready for you. Aside from that, many shelves to store ingredients, bottles, potions and what not was lining the walls. The only thing really left behind was some dried herbs hanging from the wall.

You walked over to said herbs and took a look at them. Purple like flowers and other things that were a deep dark green. Very dried at this point, but something you knew what to do with from the knowledge Nagi shared with you.

You took out a notebook. The same one Nagi showed off to you when you first met. It was entrusted to you at some point before Nagi passed away. Flipping through the pages, you scanned for what these ingredients could be used for.

Considering this is what you could only find in terms of what can be used, it wasn’t really enough to make anything sadly. You’ll have to go foraging for some plants to make anything. Closing the treasured notebook, you go back upstairs to place it in a small messenger bag to keep it close to you as you go out to explore Star Cas.

the tragedy of going "i'll just have this little general aside in the tags" and then realizing you're already at the thirty tags limit and not even done yet like fine. text post it

watching another playthrough like idk if the first time the player didn't encounter any material abt these two hanging out

or if i was the one who didn't catch it / remember / was now paying more attention to it lol

for one thing in this playthrough the person just didn't have andreas talk to werner much at all

and there's surprisingly little conflict / bitchery between them b/c of it lol. listened to the Italian Doctorate Havers chat in the bar

then chose the ''well werner i kinda thought you were dickish but You're Alright'' ''oh uh thanks'' dialogue option

the player also went full Act Two Martin Investigation mode; which i didn't see almost any of w/the first playthrough....Did do chores for ottila Didn't spend any time at the abbey Did also go ham investigating matilda who i didn't even realize was a suspect

in the first watchalong i did Didn't investigate guy to the point that accusing him wasn't even an option....i do love the differences & options And it's like; i do remember how in that first playthrough despite the player so not investigating

matilda that i didn't realize she was a suspect you do see her & what'shisname together in act three regardless

It's Going On Anyways & the game doesn't require andreas to have learned about it to have it affect reality / be observable anyways

like people pointing out that it's not some Problem running contrary to the games' intentions that andreas can only change so much abt the

way the Acts end. the problems were there; he could only ever do so much; [what he Can do] is dealing with this One manifestation of deeper

conflicts and the myriad results of them; but at the same time what he chooses to do isn't Irrelevant to people's lives even when he & you

the player can't Save The Day or certainly not Save Everyone. gotta get at least one person killed in your mystery solving even

but the mystery solving is a way to Explore A Story & decide what Threads seem important & also decide which are; in fact; The story....

was even surprised afresh at [the first go around you might think the game will prevent An Execution if you ''get it wrong'' but it doesn't

b/c also you can't either get it Wrong(tm) or Right(tm)] just b/c they happen differently; like oh this time it's this shittyass execution

b/c he was moving around. like well this sucks to watch lol just like a public execution. despite there also being all these randos incl

children just like a public execution. realizing like ah i know that latin chant already actually....''why yes not only was i raised

& certainly to the characters who are in it. that just under 99% of steam players Don't execute matilda lol like It's Pretend but good lord

but then also all the executions are like Feels Bad Man. even when; in contrast; the murdered guy in act two Wasn't a guy everyone hates....

the ''you can 'protect' this child by Being Mean & Unsupportive / you can 'protect' the character in this child mortality world by

theoretically feeling less attached to this child'' But Can You Stand To Keep Selecting The Unsupportive Mean Dialogue Options challenge

also didn't realize via the first playthrough that the cats in the abbey ruins are a mystery with a solution, now wondering if that's like a merely Possible bonus situation, b/c this player has certainly stopped to pet Some cats Sometimes but any time they Don't it's like nooo....there's no Real Time / Continuous timer, stop to pet the kitty....also a relief to know that in that one instance of talking to brigita about whichever child she had that died (also this not being the first time around makes remembering names / who's who a little easier. but not entirely) that the fact that here you can be like Admonished for your dialogue choices all of a sudden, seemingly by the game, is in fact just Character Material / andreas criticizing Himself b/c of this secret sensitivity to the matter. the first player i watched also didn't really dig as deep into the exchange as one could so it was like, oh brigita's mad & the game's telling you you were so Obviously thoughtless & rude? feels like just another day in the life when [you're autistic & so at any given time, despite being as considerate / well intended as anyone else or as you ever were before, suddenly it can be like "wow way to ruin everything due to how bad you suck" & b/c no one is interested in questioning their own assumptions here or genuine communication / you Don't ever have the preset game options to navigate your way to a Better outcome anyways, you just gotta be like "Okay" & indeed blame yourself / accept the blame &/or just peace out] like oh okay it's not actually the game telling you that You Chose The Wrong Options B/c You Suck, Way To Go lol. but without the further info it's like, well you never know when that's the ableist thesis re: nd communication, say.

anyways i also got more upset about the act two climactic events. bit teary there. alas for this player also maybe Not delving as much into the claus n andreas dynamic b/c, even though i now know that's a whole Thread that must always exist, i didn't really get to see a ton of it. but also the totally novel [bg / Personality choices] and just pursued investigation routes this time around have been a delight & i do love that Replayability / options to explore so much & be as completionist Or Not as one wants

like, saved this screenshot at like 6am b/c it was so fun, & so new when the first watchalong i did, they didn't go this route. also didn't realize you could get otto to dig the grave for you and that he's Immediately like "hell yeah lmfao" and will also give andreas more shit (presumably?) for just luxuriating on a grave there while he's doing it lol. real prime time for andreas to be a bit rude perhaps, for example i only knew of andreas getting brother volkbert to do this task, presumably just b/c he's nice & helpful? i also intensely see that [rarely, probably deliberate] autistique coding to that character and in his lines about [everyone fondly remembers that one late brother as funny & i'd love to be fondly recalled like that but everyone is just always laughing At me :(] like i'm going sicko mode throwing punches. a true grievance that zdena & guy are singled out for Especially doing this, even when of course it's like, nobody's here to be unimpeachible / to be either the ""correct"" option to like or dislike or judge some particular way, or very obviously like [there will always be one route to take with any given character that is "objectively" free from obstacles or resistance, clear to every player, with every choice for andreas' knowledge & bg & disposition or whatall] but it's like, truly, i am elevated about that one lol and particularly aggrieved by the realistically omnipresent [the Especial bullies of the autistic character] roles :( >:(

also it's like tragicomic that it's this option that brother guy can be the messenger / personal deliverer of a chilly antiwelcome for andreas, and be all mad like "ohh are you pleased with yourself getting someone killed last time. asshole" and then andreas can get him killed too. not guy's best strategy lol....and it's also just very Relevant how a player Can go "well, guy's always been kind of a bitch" and focus in on him (paired with guy not necessarily wanting to give up any lore to andreas b/c he's just probably mad at him, werneresquely) and get him killed, but one can also go "well maybe being a dick isn't execution worthy" (also juxtaposable w/Autistic Characterness when like, volkbert? volksbert? tbh i am going off some names by memory out here lol. okay volkbert is also more of a "too nice"(tm) person, not unrealistic either when it's like, people pleasing strats taken on, that appeasing others / just having to accept directions is the only feasible way to navigate life; you don't have the leverage to stop people from being assholes to you b/c they can, your only value might be in "making up for [the way that you are]" by being deemed of Practical Use/Help: so it's easier for people to be taken advantage of / vulnerable in that way....but it's also sure true that it can be like "hmm this person's vibe is Unlikable. they're probably morally worse than everyone else / should die more") like you've got plenty of characters who are kind of set/held apart and seem Mean but if you put in effort it's like, they have plenty of reason, versus that in contrast people with more power may also seem unpleasant, then you dig, and it's like oh you're even worse. this player went on the lenhardt hunting trip Again, got andreas even more pissed at the guy this time, but i Still didn't get to see andreas aim the crossbow at him for a minute lol. maybe you need the Rapscallion "more experience breaking laws" background; this route has the "openly hornier" background which is fun in its own right, aren't they all lol, but. was going to make a joke about hedonism andreas being like "shoutout to fucking around but for god's sake, lenhardt? anyone could choose more wisely" but that's just an actual comment he can make. so true.

anyways i mean it's like Good that there's no like Perfect Moral Hero route, your own character can't be unimpeachible or get it Correct any more than he can ever get it Wrong in fingering suspects (hell yeah) or just having a conversation, even if his [!!] [i am god's first mistake] fraught zone self-loathing kicks in for commentary over a particular exchange lol. that this is All About the act of investigating / exploring a Story (like just in the game) or History or Mystory and interpreting the information therein to guide what you further do or say and what conclusions you might present, in what context, to what intended ends, and actual ends; there'll never be any even unequivocally Most Correct route, some characters might end up so sympathetic 99% of players are like "yeah not gonna get them killed even if they did it" but they still Might've done it; that Judgment to Not get them killed is part of The Whole Point in itself; that in general it's not an issue that most characters can have these conflicts with andreas, just seem less likable or unsympathetic & you don't Have to try (much less succeed) in getting on better terms or getting more info about their whole deal, that even if you like them more or sympathize plenty might still be up to some dickishness / will also not be The Perfect Moral Hero. that you can go talk to smokey & he's fairly stoic, not exactly that outwardly pissed at people in tassing or doing anything about it, but he doesn't like them b/c he's othered & unsupported & people are assholes about him despite his role in the town. and the entire reality in abbey life wherein it's like, the roles allowed Within said abbey, with the inherent limitations therein, but as a potential tradeoff for avoiding other restrictions. learning that most anchorites had to come from well off families b/c they had to be able to pay for their lifelong upkeep, truly kind of peak illustrative of like, oh theoretical freedom from [outside world shit], potential protection, just Another Option for people, especially women when otherwise it's like, professions not as available, marriage otherwise probably being broadly required....but even then, monastic life also just being somewhere they could be Put Away, the relative freedoms even if they chose to be there still limited & contained here....and that The Church is certainly its own power structure situation like inherited by everyone here, taking the role of a feudal lord in tassing, still also needing money from patrons/pilgrims, still more accessible to people from families with money, like "you can have this person live here instead of in the outside world and it will cost you," the more limited choices for women, the still limited choices for everyone, the imposition of christianity, some wiggle room there Potentially but we get the entire legacies of pagan / prechristian histories & traditions, the Heresies(tm) on the periphery like martin luther out & about & magdalene being able to have read plenty abt the reformation, Yes i want to go into the woods & hear vacslav? yeah vácslav talk about his theology cosmology spirituality about lucifer creating the world. that andreas is pretty nebulous himself while christian, plenty flexible for the player, father thomas is like "tsk you didn't come to sunday mass Againnn," he can save texts condemned to be destroyed as heretical, burned as their author was sentenced that same fate (just last night i was thinking of marguarite porete refusing to acknowledge/address her accusers. that even negative accounts of her execution at the time note the crowd was Moved by her stoicism; the Vision andreas can have regarding ursula perhaps not being made aware of the dangers of Knowing "Heretical" Traditions/Info), that he can expound himself like "whoa kinda married to god? kinda in union & oneness? sounds like it could be even kinda sexy kinda horny" like forever extant musings lol but also certainly perchance considered just a little heretical to be like "christianity: you Will get to cum if you're doing it Really good"

that was a lot of greek myth tangenting but hey. it's Also even "is it at all historical? we don't know that it is, but don't know that it isn't"….andreas talking to newer people in tassing in act two and already their idea of the Story of what happened 7 years has changed / added some flair. claus telling magdalene in act three that people want to forget what happened, he can't change what happened or what he did or didn't do, but he's remembering it, wanting to record it, and tell the truth in doing so, despite that there's no version of that truth that could be embraced by all, whether b/c they see it a different way, think something else is more significant / truly at the core of what happened, or are worried about who, with power, some stories might displease, if presented not only as "here's what happened" but also "and we chose to put it in a mural." andreas choosing to risk it all (but for real) for the abbey's books, and he only saves like three or four there, but already he (could have. probably, maybe always,) talked with illuminata about that mirror of simple souls text that was supposed to be burned, and the importance of preserving it anyways even if it's condemned as heretical; that maybe he happened to save only three very common like fun romantic texts (that's Vulgar Latin "romantic" nonreligious texts read for kicks by anyone able to) from being burned, but that's still those three books that weren't destroyed, that's still andreas willing to risk his life for Whatever he could save: he knows he can't save the whole library, he knows he might not coincidentally manage to save all, or any, of the rarest most valuable books. there's the light leading to Truth, and the Value in these, as discussed in act one, even when here in act two he doesn't feel he's gotten to create more of that himself in his own work as an artist. there will be Something of the truth in those books, even the seemingly frivolous adventure tales; Something happened here, we were a part of it

i was supposed to mention it way earlier before i went ham on the greek myth tangent….which also segues into Roman Myth with the aeneid like, making that "tie rome into this foundation" connection, aptly….anyways speaking of everyone having to be christian, also that there's guy as like [jews banished from entire regions, though some may be allowed to stay if they Convert], the comments people can make about the tensions already b/w "what is the Essense of christianity & where is it Found" re: say the reformation and the rites & formal roles of the church, certainly including Authority, the beliefs that plenty of christians may have that might be deemed heretical, the rules they might break anyways, the people who might consider themselves christian or to share any beliefs therein but would be considered nonchristian / heretics by the Authorities; the townspeople who still hold on to the Old Ways like "yeah no i'm pagan with it," the ones who say "well but even if the names & figures aren't these christian ones, In Essence they really are," the ones who are suspicious of that / think the traditions can be safely superficial at best but might still be that slippery slope, like fully intended as christian texts deemed heretical theoretically are….while really the problem may be mostly about usurped Authority, by writing commentary & ideas & interpretation, that being popular, it being recommended & available without being written, approved, prescribed by church authorities….powerful clients able to request nonchristian rituals whilest the person who just carried them out is the one who may be killed for it for sure; that in a world where christianity has required Convert Or Die there's the "if you've 'converted' in those situations, have you really given up this nonchristian identity? is that Wrong / Contrary to said identity" (with some established (even Authoritatively(tm) so) decisions of "nah" "not really" "probably not" "no" "don't even worry about it" etc)

this has gone on a while and is too spontaneous & meandering to have a thesis statement now other than i've already really been enjoying Another watch of a pentiment playthrough. the two different "william" envelopes in redding weddy, no pun intended, haunt me. because. I don't know that much about tv production, I don't know how reasonable it is to have a copy of a prop like that. I mean it makes sense but idk. with how meticulously everything is placed and emphasized in cap's flashbacks though it just seems... clumsy. to have the two versions be that recognizably different. I guess maybe the extra bulk of the buried one might be a lighting thing? but the writing is different. and the letter is like. pretty fucking important to the episode so it just seems like with something that delicate it would be important to make them look the same. if it's supposed to be the same letter.

and if it's not the same letter? then I don't know what to fucking do with myself. because the episode after is the thomas thorne affair, which very specifically highlights the way bias can affect a story and includes a fateful series of swapped and forged letters. it seems like a WILD overlap in the direct next episode to not be meaningful. because then if they are different letters, how much is cap lying about. he's not a good liar, see "just a couple of chaps in the library" and "barry- barry? yes, barry" but he can be conniving when he needs to be, see him tricking kitty into telling alison about the basement. so if the letter he tucks into his jacket before havers leaves and the one he buries with the mine are DIFFERENT. what the fuck are in either of them. it makes sense that the blueprints would be buried with the mine, keep it classified. but who the fuck knows. was it actually called operation william? why? did it stand for something? it feels like a breach of confidentiality if its either his or havers' name, but I guess maybe william is a common enough name to be acceptable.

but where is the other letter then. still in cap's jacket? IS IT STILL THERE? that would track with the thorne affair parallels. what's in that one? the way he looked at it longingly and then as soon as havers came in said "ah I was just thinking about you" points to the letter being related to havers somehow at the very least. I don't KNOW guys I don't KNOW. it's driving me crazy. and the fact that peter sandys-clarke is in season 5 makes me even crazier. is he even playing havers do we know. this group of creators is known for playing multiple roles. Not at all, I actually think Nene is the most utterly normal straight girl LOL. She likes otome games where you are a protag dating a dozen cute boys or whatever, and in her fantasies, all boys are pointed at her and oggling her … she is just into a harem fantasy. It's all about how hot and impressive she is--!! In a way the boys in the harem interacting is like… too complicated, for early manga Nene? It's such a straightforward want to be desirable …

She has a more 'realistic' kind of fantasy outside of that, which she actively works towards-- where she alters her hobbies and vocations to appease a boy (and those vocations are things like learning to cook, sew, garden…)… and she ah, does deep down, understand she isn't conventionally desirable (TT__TT) so she has a submissive kind of brutal realist fantasy of, toiling or proving herself loyal to a boy through ah, subservience … (oh Nene-chan….)

I don't even think she… perceives … much between two boys, naturally, in the way a lot of people don't jump to that kind of assumption-- like, I don't think Nene perceives the layers between Mitsuba and Kou as romantic at all, thus far, in the story? Just that Mitsuba is a friend Kou wants badly to help. (Kou being interested in her romantically would make it confusing to parse, really)

If Nene liked BL, that would be funny for Hanako to observe and psychoanalyze (I assume the typical narrative of the ~delusional degraded girl left to rot into a fujoshi would just occur to him naturally, like damn girl, you've been alone for too long; your fantasies have become too convoluted lol), but instead he's only here to comment on and observe her thirsty fantasies where 10 guys line up for her, hahaha. He sees THAT and goes, pervert, lol…. dirty thought haver... lol...

he's charitable and pities her for wanting to be hot in a conventional way......…

In reality I think of her gradual observing of the Yugi twins and, wishing for them to resolve what is going on between them, as something she earnestly wants for them both-- ehr, platonically, initially, you know, just normally … their story is sad, and, they are brothers, they were important to one another, Hanako feels seemingly guilt and misery about the murder, so… Nene's likely-future-interest in them healing their bond, is as straightforward and sincere as Neige wanting to heal the Ambrose twins broken relationship in AidaIro's Snow White. It'll just become so obvious and apparent both parties are still loving and wanting the other. Hanako is so ah, avoidant, and Tsukasa so mysterious, that we're softly chipping away at Nene realizing, "Tsukasa is precious to Hanako".

Neige, in Snow White, observes the brother's sad pining for the other, and becomes straight up frustrated and yells at them about it, like, "NEITHER OF YOU HATE EACH OTHER, YOU BOTH WANT THE SAME THINGS, SO WHY IS IT LIKE THIS???" and she doesn't need any kind of interest in BL, you know? It's a sincere story, at first………

But actually that is why it's captivating to think of her organically… understanding, parsing, that there is, "more" going on under the surface…?

"Tsukasa is precious to Hanako" is step 1, not the final conclusion. And I also think that's the… point, of her and Hanako forming a romance, and all of this parallel between how avoidant and fussy he is towards Nene, and how avoidant and fussy he can be towards Tsukasa. I think, once Nene can truly understand, "Hanako loves me, but, he refuses to let himself have things he loves, because he is afraid, for some reason", she could see how he creates the same obscurity and distance between himself and Tsukasa. Hanako cannot say "I love you" directly to either of them … by having a romance with Hanako, she can directly experience the same foibles as Tsukasa.

Nene is really… interested in Hanako's emotions, fundamentally, she wants to 'know' him. She is trying to solve his behavior… her most spellbound moments are, when Hanako is distressed, upset, finally dropping his facade. I suppose I think it could gradually become apparent to her, or else, apparent all at once, that Hanako was in love with his brother, and, he doesn't know what to do about that, and, he's running from it, just like he runs from Nene over and over. Hanako never wants to confront anything. He doesn't want to talk about what Tsukasa makes him feel, or what happened between them, or why he did what he did (and does Hanako even fully understand?).

I think if you fed Nene information point blank early manga like, "hey, this guy who sexually harasses you is also a brocon", that wouldn't really be anything to her, not exciting or captivating on its own-- its not 'that kind of interest' in and of itself. But at this point, the mystique and secrets of Hanako are so DEEP and INSCRUTABLE, that she'd be grateful for any information. And at this point, "Hanako was in love with his twin brother" would would be more like, "ah… so thats why he wouldn't tell me anything, and that's why he's so secretive about him. That's a good reason. It must be confusing, even for him, to understand why he does anything, or what he wants with his brother." Literally anyone would keep that secret buried eternally.

After so long in the dark with Hanako, it'd be like a… relief, to, understand why the secrecy. Thus far, Nene has thought something like, "why doesn't he trust me?" or, "what is he so afraid of me finding out? What could be so bad, when he's already a murderer, and I already accept that? When I already accept him trying to have Aoi killed, or trying to trap me?" At that point, it's like, oh. Naruhodo. Also, of course he, can't, talk about it, he can't even talk about his FEELINGS FOR NENE, a NORMAL GIRL AND PERSON TO LIKE. Its like… I don't think considering the Yugi for Nene, is like, "hot" or "sexy" on first blush, it's more like…………….. ok, I get it, that would, cause problems, in one's life, and be difficult to cope with, and, ever talk about ………………………… its kind of not her fault then that he won't say anything, lol.

It's not like, "hot because it is two boys", it's not as if Nene has an established interest in that whatsoever-- though she has uh, an established "omg" its like its exotic to her or something, www...

tsuchigomori confirmed for homophobic -- it's, uh, alluring because of Hanako's intoxicating complexity and depth, and, well, she's a romantic… I think the romanticism of being born together and sharing every day, and then Tsukasa sacrificing himself to save his brother, and then Hanako's sacred belonging becoming his twin, to eternally protect, is, ehr, something that begs reverence and understanding by nature.

Though, I mean. Nene loves the fantasy of multiple guys (: so... (: I think twins is a very 'happy ending' for Nene-chan ... and I think relating to Tsukasa and being so similar to him, would make her feel more secure in how and why Hanako loves her... (: and I think, getting to eventually spectate the twins earnest love, would become.....................sexy.

Its like a corruption arc in a way. This innocent straight girl who wants a normal relationship with a guy is going to be swept into this crazy twin love story. And she is gonna. LIKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But you know. The protagonist of the Vampire Romance Novel is rarely reading about vampire romance all day long, its more of a, "I never thought something like this would happen to me", "I never thought my life would be like this" "I didn't ask for this" .................................. you don't think you'll wind up fucking twins .......................... and you don't think you'll love it so much and you don't think you'll love to see them finally kiss and consummate a decades long unspoken taboo love affair. “…and don’t forget the fancy decanters – you know, the ones that glitter so delightfully golden in the candlelight. I have it on good authority that Lady Ydal from Hitherland loves them and I want to impress– Oh, are you all right?”

Charles forced a smile onto his face and righted himself. “Yes, Sire. Never been better.”

Thinking the king would let it go as he always did when one of Charles’s old injuries acted up, Charles almost missed another step when Bernard actually stopped to look at him.

“You stumbled over nothing but air there,” he pointed out with a frown that could almost be mistaken for concern. “Have you hurt yourself?”

Many years ago, Charles thought, remembering a young boy eager to become a knight – too eager. “It is nothing, Sire. Shall we carry on with the seating arrangements? I assume Lady Ydal will be sitting on your right and perhaps our young Sir William can sit on your–“

“You’re deflecting, aren’t you?” Bernard interrupted him. He narrowed his eyes. “Yes, I can see it. Lying to your king, Chamberlain – that’s very unbecoming.”

He shook his head and Chamberlain was genuinely impressed by his ability to sound both concerned, affronted and disappointed at the same time.

“Sorry, Sire,” he mumbled dutifully. And then, because he knew King Bernard was like a dog with a bone when something had piqued his interest, he added grudgingly, “An old injury’s been giving me trouble. Nothing to worry about, though. It will pass.”

At least Charles hoped it would.

Bernard frowned at him. To Charles’s utter surprise, he took him gently by the arm and led him over to a chair. Too shocked to react, Charles allowed himself to be seated like a child.

“There,” the king said with a satisfied smile as if he’d just accomplished the most dangerous quest in the history of Yonderland and sat down opposite Charles. “That’s better. Now we can both have a rest while we discuss whatever’s left on your agenda.”

Charles glanced down at the paper in his hand. “Seating arrangements and the evening’s menu – for which, may I remind you, Sire, we have an appointment with the cook in ten minutes. Down in the kitchens.”

He threw a meaningful glance towards the door. Bernard merely shrugged. “Nonsense. Cook can come to us.”

“And who might be the one who tells him that, Sire?” Charles asked pointedly.

The king thought about that for a moment. “Why, Sir William, of course! He’s down by the stables, isn’t he?”

Before Charles could stop him, he had sprung up from his seat and opened one of the windows. “Sir William! Sir Will – ah, there you are! Would you be so kind and head to the kitchens to let Cook know that Chamberlain and I expect him in the ballroom in ten minutes?”

Charles could very well imagine the confused and slightly worried look on young Billy’s face right now at this rather unusual request – and also his eager nod when he said, “Will do, Sire!”

“Good lad,” Bernard smiled and closed the window.

“Yes, he is,” Charles said softly to himself. He waited for the king to re-join him at the table before he gathered up his courage to say, “Thank you, Sire.”

Their eyes met for a moment.

“Just let me know the next time,” the king asked, his voice quiet and serious. “I … I don’t like seeing you hurt, Chamberlain. I hope you know that.”

Feeling his chest tighten at the unexpected confession, Charles swallowed and nodded. “I do, Sire. And I will.”

“Good,” the king said and smiled. “Now, about the seating arrangements …”

i think about this au so much aidairo really catered to me specificallt with it. absolutely rotting my brain, if only there were any pornfics out there OTL

This AU feels like it was made to torment me personally yeah. So you have my sympathy. Idk why AidaIro gave me a place to think about, scent marking, pee, cat mating behaviors, feral anatomy, interspecies sex... Vore. etc. But they did. *furrows brow*... RIP about fic though, I myself can't really find much palatable fic, so whenever I want 'content' for something like a recent AU, I just have to write it myself / RP with my wife lol. JP fandom at least makes nice comics and art pieces to gaze upon... Ryokan has been prosperous in this way.

As for the status of the twins at the Ryokan: I think Amane indulges in consumption of Tsukasa, yes. Though with perhaps... more moderation(?) than the first incident(s), which is what I would believe lead to their mutual undead & sealed circumstance... status as, spooky orb havers. Or perhaps you could think of it as, Amane n ow has more elegance, thoughtfulness, in how he goes about eating... Artful indulgence, instead of succumbing to instinct miserably.

I do think the first time it happened, was not so easy for Amane. I feel like his journey always has to start out fraught, in some manner... Because the desire to consume (harm, destroy) Tsukasa will always be clashing against the feelings of preciousness. Amane often sees himself as Tsukasa's caretaker, protector — it's his 'role', as the older brother. He often puts himself in these sort of positions, in control and taking charge, as you can see with his dynamic with Nene as well. Though they are not biologically related, this world feels no different, what with Amane leading Tsukasa away from the circus tent fire...

This drawing is so sweet... Amane seems so genuinely concerned. Scruffed up and dirty, trying to get them out... (Of course, we don't get to see Tsukasa's expression... 💔 It's like how we can't see him on Tanabata either... prolly spoilery territory, and necessary to preserve mystique... It'd be too much to see Tsukasa's dazzled expression *sigh* ) Anyways... I get the impression from this picture, that Amane was very ardently trying to save Tsukasa in this moment.

And one has to wonder, how many years had Tsukasa been living in this circus? Isn't it odd for a kid this young to be an animal handler-? Whatever era they are from, it's likely more 'old world', considering the newspaper clipping was from 50 years ago — and the Minamoto Detective Agency itself isn't very modern feeling. (Our first image representing the event features a rotary phone, and I'd say the general fashion trends do not feel modern.) Soo... There's basically no way this set-up of a young boy animal handler was ethical. Tsukasa was likely an abandoned child, unloved, with only his pet black cat as company. I think Amane observed the poor treatment Tsukasa faced and it culminated in him rescuing him from the fire. Acting as his savior.

The story is so tantalizing to envision, from that jumping off point... Where do they run off to? Amane has magical capabilities as a nekomata, but I wonder how young he was, how much he still had to learn... Is he capable of sustaining them both? Were they functionally homeless for a while, meandering about? Finding some abandoned shed to hole up in? So much must have happened, between then and the current events of canon...

No matter what, I feel like being alone with Tsukasa starts to chip away at Amane's instincts. The AU proposes that humans are sooo irresistibly tasty... I think the sense of, love and desire to protect Tsukasa buys Amane some time, letting him funnel into the task of providing for his "little brother"... And ah, as I mentioned before, I like the HC that Amane only just got his human form and mirrored it after Tsukasa, so I think there's euphoria to be felt over finally being able to interact with Tsukasa with hands, a voice, etc.. They can talk! They can share so much! That's exciting... Ah, but it's like, amidst the haze of these emotions, there's this encroaching rumble... I think it's a natural pipeline for Amane to go from feeling like a caretaker, to gaining some. Divine sense of entitlement. You owe your life to me... with my actions, you are MINE... I own you. This snowballs with the biological urges to consume... the temptation...

I like to think there was a small incident, something fluid in the middle of affection... Getting his chin scritched, something like that — and mindlessly, Amane snaps, cleaves through a couple fingers. Mabye down half the knuckle of Tsukasa's thumb. And he swallows without thinking, also. But the sound of Tsukasa's shock and pain causes him to recoil, and it's like he's woken up to the reality of what he did — misery, horror, sadness... Helpless feeling about it. I think about him sobbing while licking Tsukasa's injured hand... ;; Not liking how it feels, that there's still a desire for more. Scared of self, frazzled fur, ears pinned... A somber period follows, where Amane bandages Tsukasa up and also endeavors to learn healing magicks... Not strong enough to magically recreate the missing body parts, but I think he could eventually close up the wounds. Sad kitty... Of course, Tsukasa is ever-reassuring, saying it's all fine! Daijoubu! Smiley smiley. Petting with his other hand. Hard to believe Tsukasa is so... forgiving... he doesn't even flinch when touched. They still sleep intertwined...

Inevitably, between Amane's own desire and Tsukasa's unconditional love, it all has to culminate in a big explosive event. The twins... you can see how, across all worlds, they have to conclude in something as extreme as consuming the other! I think AUs where their very species dictates this further conveys how much it cannot be helped. How can Amane resist Tsukasa forever-??? He cannot. Since nekomata are also known to have a capacity in necromancy, I believe that's how Tsukasa can return, and that's what leads to their present-day selves. Also, since Amane is a decidedly powerful mystery, I think of him as distinctly capable for a nekomata. Over those 50 years, he honed his powers, and it leads to his casual demeanor now. He doesn't feel threatened or, as if anything can meaningfully compete.

Honestly I think the whole... keeping Tsukasa a secret, having him dressed up as a kitty and locked in a closet, is all, fetishistic. Ohhh my dear sweet "brother", stay safe okayyy, mm yes pretend to be a kitty and run about... i will protect you... even though you're a delectable little human... mwah. The choice to give Tsukasa a kinked tail and matching collar is wholly eccentric. All these details feel... playful? Indulgent? Compared to their past as a dirty circus orphan and his scraggly black kitty cat... For them to be trouncing about this secluded mountain inn, feels luxurious. They feel very comfortable, to me...

So I like to think that this isn't an Amane that is forbidding himself from interfacing with Tsukasa, and indulges at times in his urges. The difference is having more of a handle on himself, so it's less of a chaotic impulse? If impulsive, than the indulgent kind, succumbing to wanting to nip and bite and draw blood... I really ah, think about him raking claws across Tsukasa and lapping at the wounds. Things like this. Ohh, just a taste... I don't want to tear him apart juuust yet, must control... It should be special, when we go that far ❤... You could imagine him snapping off a finger or two though, ugh, and then Tsukasa's perpetual mitten status just passes it off... He's commonly seen as clumsy, so it wouldn't be suspicious if he was especially poor at handling things. Fumbling more....

UGh it all makes me sick though because-!! I have to imagine they are affectionate, playing with each other, napping together, etc... I can perfectly see a doting Amane cleaning up Tsukasa after he's done with him, grooming him affectionately, and then relaxing in the hotsprings together... Such visions I am accosted with. I cannot see anything else

"Greetings Ayato, enjoying the evening?" you said with your fan at your lips and he smiled.

"Now even more because of you." he told you and you blushed.

"Ah yes indeed, how have you been lately?" you said as you started to walk next to him. He just chuckled and looked down at you.

"Do you really wish to know?" he said and you looked at him.

"You are a dear friend of mine Ayato, of course I wish to know, plus, your sister would worry if she wouldn't know how you are, you need to open up a little." you said and he gave a defeated sign.

"Fine fine, I surrender myself to your mighty judgement!" he said and you laughed.

"How can such a serious head of the Yashiro Comission and head of the Kamisato clan be so playful sometimes?" you asked and he just smiled.

"I must admit that this is just the effect you have upon me my lady." he said and looked down at you once again.

"Still the same charmer I see." you said with a small grin and he got closer to you.

"Only for you my dear." he said and you tried not to die there from how flustered you got. Right now you were at the bridge from Inazuma city, near the water and that small shrine for the kitsune. As you looked at the sky, you sighted.

"Ayato-" you tried to say but he held your hands so you would look at him.

"Look, I know that maybe you think it would be complicated for us to start something, after all we both rule over clan's with big duties, but, believe me, we can make it trough together." he said and looked at you in the eyes.

"But... What about the others? If we get together, they will expect us to marry, have heirs, and our whole relationship will be public..." you said and he took your cheek in his hand.

"You don't have to do all that if you don't feel like it, we are the own rulers of our lives, so why care about what the others think?" he said and you looked at his blue orbs. They were charming, just like his sister's eyes.

When you broke, he looked at you and caressed your cheeks with his fingers.

"What about you come and have dinner with me and my sister? I'm sure she would enjoy your company as much as I do." he said and you chuckled.

"How could I refuse to see Ayaka and Thoma, I missed them so much, but I missed you even more." you added and he smirked.

"I didn't expect anything else my dear, after all I'm your soul mate." he said and you rolled your eyes.

"As you say "lord" Kamisato. "you said and he grabbed your waist pushing you into him.

"You will get to see me as lord Kamisato too one day, dear, just wait and see." he said and grinned as you blushed hard.

And with that, you both headed to the Kamisato Estate.

Debunking Certain Myths About Plurality

Edit: We'd like to thank @altercourses for correcting some of our misinformation and providing sources, and since then have corrected some things, we are very sorry for the misinformation.

1. Every system has a headspace/innerworld

Nope! Actually, it's quite normal not to. When you find a professional who specializes in helping patients with DID & OSDD function, they actually have practices for creating or finding your headspace. This can be done with a professional, or by yourself with caution. And also, headspaces and innerworlds aren't special to those who are plural, anyone can have one. It's just more common for us so our headmates have places they can go when they aren't fronting.

2. Every system is medically recognized as overt or covert

Yes...But no. Overt and covert labels can be very harmful actually, and aren't use by professionals, they were mostly picked up by the community. That isn't to say they are wrong or bad, but medical professionals do not see a system to be overt or covert, very obvious, or not obvious, it's not that simple to them.

But these labels have been seen to be helpful or interesting by the community, and in that, there is no harm.

3. OSDD-1B and OSDD-1A are medical labels

Actually...No. OSDD-1B and OSDD-1A are not medical labels or terms, in fact, these two aren't even in the DSM, they were later named and found by the OSDD community to differentiate different ways of osdd presenting. As you know, OSDD means Other Specified Dissociative Disorder, otherwise known as a dissociative disorder that may not catch all the symptoms of DID but is pretty close. It is a catch-all. Although the DSM does not ever state OSDD-1A or OSDD-1B, the DSM does give 4 examples of what OSDD can look like. Two of the 4 are what have been named.

So, no, it is not necessary to think or say you have OSDD-1B or 1A, If these labels and distinctions make you feel comfortable go ahead, but others should know, these really aren't important to anyone but the OSDD haver themselves.

4. DID & what counts as amnesia

You do not need to have full blackouts like media says to qualify for DID, these things actually aren't as common as they may sound amongst DID havers. Here's a great video about what dissociative amnesia can look like if you think you experience it.

5. Only certain traumas can result in having DID/OSDD (sexual abuse, physical)

Well...No. That isn't true and the DSM does not inherently ever state that those are the only way an unstable sense of self with parts can exist. The only thing it ever states is if it is long-term childhood abuse, that could cause this disorder to happen. Long-term abuse can be physical, sexual, emotional, psychological, can come from natural disasters, troubles at birth, etc.

6. You can't be aware of being a system on your own

Ah...You see, making this claim doesn't really make sense to me. That's like saying people with psychosis can't be aware that they are experiencing a delusion, or people who feel depressed for a long amount of time cannot recognize that they have chronic depression. While the popular claim of people do not realize that they might have DID or OSDD until they are well into adulthood or in their 30s is not false, It's fairly common and normal to suspect yourself of having a disorder even if others don't suspect it first, you know yourself better before anyone else does, and just because DID/OSDD is supposed to be hidden from everyone not just including but especially for the host, it's very possible.

7. You always know who's fronting or who you are

Perhaps this is true in some people, that's totally cool! But it's normal and perfectly fine to be blurry or not be able to put names or labels to yourself sometimes. It doesn't need to be this way, let's erase the stigma of this. The Rings System has some great videos on this.

8. Fusion and integration are the same

We must look at what integration and fusion actually mean. Integration means bringing down the dissociative barriers and things that separate the system, making it easier to work together and bring everyone closer together, but this has nothing to do with becoming one! Just improving communication and functioning together. It can sometimes even seem like you are on the same wavelength, which is good.

This often gets mistaken with fusion. A lot of people with plurality say they do not want to integrate, because they mistake integration for fusion! Fusion is actually what you're thinking of. Fusion is the practice of bringing all parts and fragments together to make the failed self at childhood, a whole one person.

While some systems find that fusion, or just merging some parts together is their goal, other systems work towards integration and communication instead, and the professional you're working with should have a positive mindset on both if you work with one.

It's very normal for systems to want to be more distinct or work on themselves separately, or work on getting along as a collective instead of wanting to be one.

9. Endogenic systems are an excuse for hardcore, or no double, "kinnies"

System ≠ kinning. We are not the same, of course, you can be both, but being a system is different. No system I have ever met has not been alright with seeing someone similar to them, or the fictives I know have no issue with seeing another fictive of their source, and if they do, they usually handle it respectively. You are talking about a specific person or a very small amount of people here, and I promise you all plural people don't operate that way, although I do not doubt that it does look like a fine line to the average person.

Also, kinnie can be very offensive to otherkin and therian people, please, let us not use this term regarding those people, or systems.
