Artem Wing Collapses from Overworking

Pairing: Artem Wing x Fem!Reader

A/N: Seriously if you haven't played this game yet do it, it's so damn good and the guys are so hot!

Overworked!Artem is the kind of man who doesn't ever want to admit that he feels tired. It doesn't matter how far or how close his goal is he will keep at it until it's done. Unless he knows he will have a closed and won case he doesn't want to hear anything about taking a break.

Overworked!Artem brings his work home less then he used to but you still see case files on his nightstand. When you notice that he's working late into the night you offer to help him get work done faster. You know he won't sleep longer, no matter how much he ends up working, he has a routine and he sticks to it.

Overworked!Artem doesn't care about how awful or dead inside he looks when he wakes up. People are scared his face anyway, they probably don't think he even needs to sleep so what's the point of getting dolled up for their viewing pleasure. As long as he's presentable in the court room there's no problem.

Overworked!Artem chugs coffee like it's his favorite drink when he feels his energy levels start to deplete. He knows you worry so he actually started using the coffee machine in his office a little bit more in hopes you won't notice how many cups a day he has to drink just to stay up. Of course you notice because you usually he would pass by you when making coffee, when he stops doing that you know for a fact that he's drinking too much of it.

Overworked!Artem will dim the light in his office when it gets really late. There's no way you'll leave without him but with the light dimmed at least you can get some sleep on the couch, he'll wake you up when he's done and you can go home to sleep on a real bed. Yeah right, like you're gonna sleep soundly while he buries himself in work.

Overworked!Artem smiles at you when you bring up your worries about him. The last thing he wants is to worry you. He's fine, he'll be done very... oh... no he won't, because as soon as he went to direct you back to the couch you felt his weight on your back. Thankfully you could grasp onto the table before you both fell over.

Overworked!Artem mumbled about a headache when you set him onto the couch and pulled his tie off so he could take deeper breaths. You kissed his forehead, taking note of how damp with cold sweat it was before you went to fetch him medicine. But before that you get him something to eat, all he's had was his lunch and cups of coffee, he's not taking any meds on an empty stomach.

Overworked!Artem groaned in pain and complaints for the whole time while you tried to get him to eat and drink. He hates himself for letting you see him like this. He's supposed to be the more experianced one, the one who inspired people but here he was, on the couch with a splitting headache, with dark circles under his eyes and getting dizzy every time he tries to stand up. So much for being a hood role model.

Overworked!Artem still wants to finish his work before he goes home but you don't want to hear it. You'll finish for him, and when he gets some rest he can take a look at it if he wants. For now he will lay his head on your lap and sleep. Once his headache goes away the two of you will go home.

Overworked!Artem keeps kissing you as you drive him home and accompany him to bed. He feels like he's not good enough for you sometimes, like you do a lot more for him then he does for you. That's why he works so much, he wants to pay you back for all the happiness that you brought to him. Not in the healthiest way maybe but it's the only way he knows how, except for kissing you but sadly he can't do that all day.

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? yes! although i didn't used to for some reason. lately my feeling is that they took the time to comment, so i always try to take the time to show appreciation for that.

What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending? definitely A Troublesome Transition. i don't really do angst or character death all that often, but this one was cathartic to write.

What’s the fic you've written with the happiest ending? lol pretty much all of my fics have pretty happy endings. maybe Don't Fret Precious ( I'm Here ) ? it's a darker fic that definitely had the potential to be very angsty, but the reveal at the end and the devotion that these two lunatics have to one another is pretty sweet... maybe? LOL

Do you write crossovers? nah

Have you ever received hate on a fic? i got one "wtf is this" type comment on a fic on tumblr once, but i was pretty quick to block the person. i think mostly people are just surprised Homelander has the fandom he does

Do you write smut? If so, what kind? yes. very much so. pretty much any kind. i feel like i'm fairly well known for schmoopy sentimental sex and dirty talk though

Have you ever had a fic stolen? not that i know of!

Have you ever had a fic translated? yes! Hide and Seek was translated into spanish.

Have you ever co-written a fic before? sort of! All That Glitters was a fic collab with @anon-nee, for which they were absolutely instrumental in the worldbuilding and keeping me motivated to keep writing. huge shoutouts to @jethrowest and @irenadel and everyone who consistently lets me blow up their dm's with my wips and helps me when i'm struggling to put words on the page. 🖤

What's your all-time favorite ship? homelander x all these incredibly sexy oc's my friends make

What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will? Puppet Master. i had really big plans for this one, but unfortunately it got lost in the shuffle and i've since repurposed the ideas i had for it.

What are your writing strengths? i think my strengths are characterization and keeping the world feeling grounded/true to the source material.

What are your writing weaknesses? i have a lot of insecurities about my fics being boring or not eventful enough. a lot of the times i focus so much on interpersonal relationships, i don't think there's really enough happening in the story. i'm also bad at bringing in ensemble casts. my fics definitely focus very heavily on just the two leads.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? i tend to avoid it unless it's very simple established pet names/phrases or something. i use italics and descriptors if they're not speaking in english. if the POV character isn't meant to understand, i'll just describe how the characters are speaking to one another in that language.

What was the first fandom you wrote for? yu yu hakusho on quizilla LOL i was a HUGE weeb. also wrote for inuyasha.

What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to kimiko/annie..... they deserve each other......

What's your favorite fic you've written? probably Eat Your Ego, Honey. it's my first multichapter fic, and i'm DETERMINED to finish it. i really love Layla, and i'm so touched by how everyone has responded to her. oc's can be a bit of a sore spot for me, but the reception to that fic really keeps me going and makes me so, so happy. plus i just think it's some of my best writing.

Last song: I've got Spotify on on my TV and it won't let me lie: Closing Time by Semisonic. Currently listening to my 90s classic playlist

Last film: Eeek, I think this was... The Holiday, on the plane, when I was going on holiday in December? Or the first half of Juliet, Naked, which is one of my favourite films. I watched that this week but didn't finish bc it was bedtime and I was tireeeeed.

Currently reading: A Power Unbound! Finally, after I finished writing this series, I can dive in. Forcefully reminding myself to not get too distracted by tumblr games today and forget to pick up the book 😂

Currently watching: losing my mind at the second series of The Traitors (UK), thanks for asking. This morning I am thankful for CLAUDIA WINKLEMAN and that's all I will say.

Currently consuming: I have a pleasantly full belly following a pancake breakfast. This question gives me the vibe of like 'in general' though, so I'm gonna say M&S mini whips which are these little milk chocolate things filled with gooey marshmallow that I picked up the other day and now am dependent on for my emotional wellbeing.

Currently craving: full tummy and all, but now that I've mentioned them, a mini whip wouldn't go amiss.

Fuck It Friday ☔️

I was tagged by the lovely @daffi-990 thank you✨

Okay, so I hit a little bit a of a snag with the mudslide fic because I keep adding stuff to the second half of the story, but I haven't actually outlined them yet, so my notes are a bit of a mess right now. However I finally finished the most difficult part of the whole fic and also passed 31k, so I thought I give you some more of Eddie's POV, now with a side of Bosko hehe

This bit is not actually, but chronologically comes after this snippet

(Also did I accidentally make faith the main motif of this fic? Who's to say... but yes, I absolutely did.)

“So you're really not gonna tell me what's going on with you and Buckley?” Bosko sidled up to him, pulling an exasperated grunt out of Eddie. “There's nothing going on.” He hissed as quietly as he could while still staying menacing enough to get her to drop it. It didn't work. “Sure,” Bosko snorted, “that's why you were all huddling and cuddling before coming to the tent.” “It's not– It's not like that.” Eddie closed his eyes briefly. He couldn't believe he was having this conversation, let alone having it with Lena Bosko of all people. “Buck is just… I don't know, he says he's got a bad feeling.” “Hah, ‘cause that's new.” “That's what I told him!” Eddie spread his arms before sagging his shoulders again. “But I don't think it was working. I've got no idea what's gotten into him…” “Who knows, he seemed pretty spooked. Maybe he just wanted you to comfort him.” She shrugged as they reached the truck assigned to their team. “Buckley looks like the typa’ guy who’d be into the whole passionate hugging before heading off to battle and shit.” “Funny.” Eddie levelled her with a dry look as he climbed into the rig. “And this is not a battle.” “No? ‘Cause it kinda looks like we have a hell of a fight ahead of us.” Bosko’s voice was serious now as her eyes scouted over the section of the road where they were headed. “Yeah.” Eddie sighed in agreement as he followed her gaze. He hated to admit it, but Buck’s sense of doom might've been contagious.

Okay, so it's time for some ep 7 thoughts.

Just finished it so it's still settling in my mind so if you decide to read this, please excuse my possible misunderstanding of some of the events.

So, warning, might be kinda random at places, a bit weird, and of course, spoiler-y. Might add to it later as well but this is what I have to say for now.

-First of all, I'm so happy the episode opened with Hera and what happened with her! And I just loved how a certain (droid-)someone came to the rescue more or less, and Leia was mentioned once again. I also love her last exchange with Mon Mothma and how she totally didn't buy the whole thing about the approved mission but still kinda took her side and didn't call it out in front of the rest. But also this question about Thrawn. I really hope they're going to finally listen to Hera and see the potential danger of Thrawn's return.

-Speaking of that, I'm wondering what's going to happen in the last episode because we're kinda nowhere near the end of the story. But I think that Thrawn is going to return for sure, and maybe they won't confront him in this last episode bit he's going to play bigger role in future productions, maybe a next season of Ahsoka (which I sorta think might not happen, I sorta see it as a stand alone like some other shows) or maybe the Mandalorian. I think in the last episode, it's gonna be some confrontation between Ahsoka, Sabine and Ezra, and Baylan and Shin. Especially between them and Baylan as Shin seems to be a bit confused herself. I think there are still many things that are yet to be explained about Baylan though, and his actions and plans and I'm worried there's not enough time. However, I also somehow see some parallel between him and Ahsoka fighting, and Sabine and Shin. Like some master-apprentice against master-apprentice thing. So, I hope that in the end there's going to be some epic scene with that involved. But more about this later.

-Mentioning the Mandalorian, there was a line in the beginning by Teva which sort of made the time period of when the series are taking place a bit clearer. Mandalore and Moff Gideon were mentioned, which sets these series after season 3 of the Mandalorian. But it sounds like it's quite close to where we are now. Like, maybe a few weeks or months. That's the vibe I got at least. And Thrawn was also mentioned in the Mandalorian too so it means the two shows are happening close to one another time-wise. Which confronts some of the theories about how Sabine wasn't present there because she was busy with finding Ezra. But also sorta presents the new question - why wasn't Sabine involved? But I have my small theory of how she doesn't fully see herself as a Mandalorian anymore. Nor a Jedi. I think in the beginning of the series, she was really kinda lost as to what she is because in the second episode, she took both the lightsaber and the helmet and she cut her hair and we kinda know Mandalorians keep their hair shorter because of the helmet (or I think it's established? I still liked her longer hair, tho). So who knows. Also, who knows what caused her to turn her back on her roots. I believe her possibly dead family might have something to do with that.

-Some small details I also noticed and liked from the episode were: Zeb's mention! I still haven't checked the tags and other people's thoughts on the episode because I wanted to first share my own thoughts without them being clouded by anything else I read but I'm sure the hype is gonna be as big as when Kanan and Leia were mentioned in episode 5. And there's a good reason! As I mentioned in a previous rant, I hoped they'll mention him at least. And they finally did! That's honestly all I hoped for because he was part of the crew. However, Ezra still doesn't know Hera has a son from Kanan? Or at least this wasn't mentioned as one of the things he learned from Sabine. Which makes his eventual reunion with Hera even more exciting!

-Also, for a moment I was worried Sabine had just left her Howler (I might have misspelled this or simply not remember how these were called but I mean the big animal she was riding in the previous episode, lol) but then I saw it's with them and for whatever reason this made me so happy, lol.

-Another thing is how Ezra is so... well, Ezra! Again, great casting! Such a positive and hilarious ray of sunshine even after 10 years of isolation. His playful exchanges with Sabine and also the "Wait! Wait, you can take us as... prisoners?" now I think it's a shame that everyone knows who he is so he can't introduce himself as Jabba the Hutt (does he know he's dead? And that this princess he met once killed him? And that her planet was destroyed and she's a Senator now? And that her father was Darth Vader? Probably not...) also loved how he fought only using the Force! There were some theories he might have turned to the dark side or something but the way I see it, he spent these years connecting with nature through the Force, thus making his bond with it and the light side even stronger than before. He's so much more like his early-Rebels self, before Maul and his temptations to the Dark Side.

-Another thing about Ezra is how I find it a tiny bit hilarious how he just... asks a question, doesn't get an answer, and just decides to change the topic without pressing too much. Honestly, a bit naive in a cute way but also maybe it's him sensing there's something huge going on and he just doesn't want to have his reunion with Sabine ruined by bad news. Still, I think it's about time they finally tell him what actually happened. I want to see his reaction and he also deserves to hear of all the possible threats. But he also has a lot of sharing to do! He said these creatures helped him when he needed it the most but nothing about what happened when he and Thrawn initially got to the planet. Or what was he actually up to in these years. I still think he might have had some deal with Thrawn or something because we saw how if he wants to, Thrawn can quickly find somebody's location on that planet. Why not look for Ezra? Thought he's not a threat? After the guy literally called a small army of space whales that took them through hyperspace to another galaxy? Somehow I'm not convinced. Even if he doesn't see him as a threat, he could have tried to get rid of him out of spite because of it... (Yeah, don't ever let me direct something, lol).

-About Ezra and his "eventual" reunion with Hera and everyone else. So, I had my worries about how it might turn out Ezra is dead before the previous episode. But now I have another worry which has been fed by a friend of mine who's also watching the series. We've been talking about how someone from the "good guys" might possibly die and she's really convinced it's gonna be Ezra (I just know she doesn't like him even though she insists she does after this episode, ok? Hasn't seen Rebels and doesn't know how amazing he is). I wasn't too convinced at first and constantly said they can't kill him just when they finally brought him back but tbh, for his not too much of a screen time these two episodes, he already mentioned how he can't wait to go home/thinks he'll finally come home/generally home-related stuff three whole times. And especially his last line... it really makes me think about it and how this is some dark foreshadowing and that it's not gonna happen. And I really hope I'm wrong. I don't see Ahsoka (obviously) or Sabine dying.

-And speaking of possible deaths, Baylan and Shin and their parallels between them and Ahsoka and Sabine come to the picture. So, correct me if I'm wrong but Thrawn just noticed that Baylan's not where the rest are and decided to withdraw his troopers because he just hoped to get rid of all Jedi/Force users at the same time, right? I mean, he wants Sabine and Ezra dead, he wanted Ahsoka dead too but he also sent these two squads to make sure Baylan and Shin are gonna be dealt with too, right? Or did I misinterpreted his words in both last and this episode too? I think Thrawn's main priority is to just get away from this place and leave all of them behind, hoping they'll be too busy fighting each other until it's too late to notice his departure. Which I can see happening. But I'm pretty sure Ahsoka's gonna find a way to return them back with the help of the Force or something. I don't think all of them are dying. I think Baylan might possibly die in a duel against Ahsoka as they've already had a few one-to-one fights, and same goes for Sabine and Shin, with Shin eventually being defeated by Sabine after a few previous encounters where Shin managed to defeat her. These parallels I mentioned seem to me like they're each other's mirrors and main... not sure what to call it, responsibilities? I think that if Baylan dies, it's going to be Ahsoka killing him, or vice versa (but I'm not seeing Ahsoka dying so he's more likely to), as well as Sabine killing Shin (here I have this really awful theory of how Ezra might eventually die, maybe Shin is going to kill him, thus making Sabine kill her. But again, let's hope Ezra is not going to die. Also, it'll really pull Sabine's dark side out. She's not strong with the Force so it won't be really like her turning to *the* Dark side but it's still not gonna be pretty and maybe won't be approved by Ahsoka. Might be an interesting plot line to be further developed, tho. Anyway, hopes and prayers we don't get to see any of this). Master against master and apprentice against apprentice. Honestly, I'll be kinda disappointed if something else happens, if we go with the route of these two dying.

-Now, there's something else, though. As I said, we're not fully aware of what Baylan is up to, and we're going to finally find out. We saw he's interested in the planet and has some plans to do something there. Also, we saw a few occasions in the last two episodes where Shin was a bit confused and unsure of him and his words towards her + Ahsoka offering to help her. So I think there might be a slight chance of Shin deciding to turn sides and join the others, thus surviving (or still getting killed but by her previous master or something else). And I think there might be a chance Baylan doesn't die as well but just... do something. Not sure what but he might do something... Which might be the reason Ezra doesn't, after all, go home. I'm still thinking of how often he mentioned home and how it might be a foreshadowing he doesn't get to do that. So, if it's not because he dies, I think it might be because he chooses to stay behind. But there must be a good reason for that as he really wants to. So maybe he willingly decides to stay back, maybe prevent something bad from happening and also to protect his new friends from whatever.

I already shared a sentence from my GM wip yesterday, and I couldn't decide which wip I should take this time so you're getting them all :D

1. From a very kitschy HacksHBO Avorah fanfic I already told @die-schwanenkoenigin about and am hopefully gonna finish today:

"What, you turning into a vampire now, or is that an announcement to murder me?"

Though, I'm actually not sure whether I'll keep that sequence in the fic. I guess you'll have to wait and see!

2. From an Andromaquynh TOG AU wip that I honestly aren't sure whether I'll ever finish because it would have to be a longfic and Ahhhh time:

The farm is only about half an hour away - Quynh could walk there if she wanted to, but she never does, just staying in the fields and watching the riders from afar.

Not the last line I wrote, just the last sentence I went over. I actually wrote a bit more about this AU here, and if anyone's interested in getting the draft and adopting it, I'd love to hand it over to someone who has the time to write it!

3. From a Lie to Me, Zoe/Gillian follow-up to @ladydedlock 's fic:

Zoe makes an appreciative noise as Gillian starts to kiss her back in earnest, and Gillian smiles against her lips.

Yes, I'm writing the smutty sequel after all :D haven't gotten very far yet but I'm feeling optimistic that it'll get finished at some point instead of ending up on the forever draft pile xD

4. A Berena getting-together at a club AU - it's been done before and I'm doing it again! Inspired by the last time I was at a gay club, already weeks ago now, I'm really not fast with my wips lately...

Bernie had lingered over the bracelets for a few moments before snatching up the green - single: homosexual, and trying to suppress a blush as she hurried through the corridor and into the club proper.

Not actually the last line here either, just the last properly finished sentence.

5. W13: Helena goes clubbing, inspired by the same party the Berena fic's inspired by but a very different direction, established Bering&Wells with H.G. exploring the modern world

Thank you for the tag, @angelcasendgame!!!!! I am not sure I will be able to work on anything very soon just because life came after me again, and turns out I'm gonna be moving over the next month or so, but I really do hope I can find time!!

None of these have names yet lol. I put the SPN ones first, but technically I've been trying to break my writer's block by returning to The Great Gatsby (It's all Nick/Gatsby btw, just realized that might not be immediately evident) with limited success. It's always come easier for me. But all of this is stuff I do actively want to work on.

Ohh I don't know who to tag. I'm sure everyone in this circle has been tagged already, and most of the people I talk to regularly enough to know about their projects have more or less left Tumblr... I think the name is pretty explanatory? The gist of it is they go after the same guy and become pseudo-enemies but they keep bumping into each other like this and decide to work together after a while 👍 this is a really bad hook LMAO. Anyway, I'm trying to build on the idea that they work REALLY well together when they do it intentionally but fail comically when they don't.

Pretty much what it says on the tin as well. No Supernatural AU. Dean goes to a community college to get a certification to help with his work elsewhere, but Cas, a figure drawing model, catches him drawing (which Dean's been doing on and off as a hobby) and tries to get him to sign up for the arts program.

I technically only have a summary of this, and I'm not entirely sure if I will write it all out, but I do want to at least put more time into the development before I dedicate to giving up on it bc of scope lol. I just have SUCH a soft spot for fake relationship AUs. Also, I just found out that while I have FINALLY aged into independent FAFSA eligibility, I am once again tax bracketed out. Anyway, financial abuse is real and I want to project my suffering onto Dean. Also immigrant Cas, but I haven't decided where I want him to be from yet. I think this has a lot of potential for some pretty hefty character redesigns too so it's also compelling to me from that angle. I guess I could also write it for TGG, but I did initially think of it for Destiel, so.

I don't know how to explain this one very well except that I had unhelpfully written "poolboy au" in my notes and then proceeded to forget what the hell I meant. This fic was an attempt to resurrect that but ended up being a funky modern West Coast re-imagining where Gatsby can't even "make it" as much as he wants to, and Nick can't find a place to live except for a less-than-legally rented pool house. It's not meant to be a full rewrite or anything though.

Uhhh yeah, I'm keeping the details private for this one ahaha but that's just because it wasn't supposed to be a big deal and I told a friend she would see what it was when it was done...like oh god probably a month ago at this point... My original scope for this was quite small, but research for it, indecision, and a nasty case of writer's block that I've had for nearly a year now have kept development a bit slow. Hopefully, I'll finish it before the year comes to a close.

I also don't know how to explain this one well other than "after being rejected by Daisy (Canon Divergent), Gatsby attempts to buy his way into a bewildered Nick's heart. Though the fic is from Nick's POV, Gatsby's just had his worldview shattered and is in a bit of denial, but instead of pursuing Daisy harder, he channels all of that energy into Nick (though he's not really sure why he's doing it at first). I wasn't sure what to put up at the top because I absolutely don't want my code name for this public at least until it's done LMAO.

Currently Watching: Well Darla and I jammed through all the early Halloween franchise movies. Halloween is my favorite slasher movie and I never saw any of those sequels so it was fun to experience and discuss all the themes and motifs etc. We aren't gonna watch the Rob Zombie ones together and I'm unsure if we'll watch the recent reboots? So I'm kinda in a what to watch limbo. But oh yeah if you mean what youtube tab I have opened it's Secret Sleepover playing observation duty.

Currently Reading: I have a library book that I don't like the writing style of so I'm avoiding reading everything else, at the moment! Oops!! But I am also part way through It Came From The Closet (Queer Reflections on Horror) which I'm enjoying a lot, I just need to pick up again!

I've only semi recently getting back into books, its been a bit since I've had the time and motivation! Being brave!

One of my obsessions that I just never mention ... collecting animal jpegs on silly old pet websites like chicken smoothie and neopets (not as into neopets but I got a Halloween gelert named pretty boi the first day I got back into playing that. I was on a mission!!! 😭) (and I've been constantly adopting pets on chicken smoothie since I joined in February lol. It scratches an itch in my brain of collecting and they're cute silly thangs)

Also Halloween and Horror things in general bc... (I get sad in the cold dreary months and as soon as Halloween is over I usually don't have much else to look forward to for a while so I'm holding on tight! It's October 31st somewhere!)

Relationship Status: dating and living with @duck-n-clover 💕💞💖💓💘💗 Ideal relationship bc they are always warm when I'm always cold. :) *thermoregulating you beam*

We met on deviantArt in like 7th/8th grade, later we started shipping our OCs, then met in person at a music festival I had extra tickets for and then a few months later they asked me out which is INSane to me how things happen and I'm so glad things have worked out how they did! Still sharing OCs together yay yayy wahoo!! (((Gabriel (oc I'm obsessed with) was Darla's OC and he was in the 1st drawing I liked from them on dA and now they gave him to me he's my own special OC now wah!!!))))

I'm probably making a mistake by following the ao3gratsu feed. Welp, gonna get depressed real fast.

I mean, I can always unfollow. But the slight perusal I did kind of showed how much the fandom is slowing - which is totally understandable, sadly.

The good thing is that seeing some depressing things from N/G fandom helped me forget the wtf fic I read. I thought I could stomach it but... it was so fucked up that I'm still thinking of it! 😂

I hope LetoaSai posts a new FT fic soon. Theirs was the last one I read that felt like a good read. I've been trying with the current batch (that isn't filtered, at least - bless AO3 skins!!) but... it doesn't quite read well. Though I haven't seen the latest oneshot there yet. Maybe it'll be a good read.

At this point, anything to keep me from thinking of Sunday's oneshot... OTL

I'm procrastinating. Yep, that is me.

My #1 post of 2022

Ah, really want to have someone who can hear me scream (figuratively) about gratsu and the plots I want to write!!

Today I read and interacted with an author (hope they come up with more gratsu fics 😈) and it was great but I was so getting the urge to talk about plots.

There's this Demon Slayer Gray plot that kind of wants to come out too but uuugh. I mean, it's a bit of a different spin. Hey, maybe I could use it for TbC? Then again, I'm not too sure about what I'm going to be doing with the arcs and time skip and Zeref. Because the big bad for that one is more in line with Acnologia, power-wise and that's a huge mess.

But, Juvia needs to grow to be her own person. Heck, I might not be as squicked by gruvia, were it not such an awful relationship and dynamic. I like Juvia! But her obsession/need to live for Gray needs to go. It's not cute or romantic.

Damn, that fic got me heated. XD

Tagging a post "unannounced project" is sort of a joke, since all of my projects are unannounced, as is this blog. (I figure I'll link it in the pinned post on my main once I actually publish something. Maybe if I post a Sugarplums update. If you found it before then, hi! Great job! I'm actually really curious if anyone will; feel free to send an ask saying hi or follow.)

For the curious, my notable fiction projects (none of which are done at the time of posting) are:

Caramel/Sugarplums, a fanfic about some of my Guild Wars 2 characters that I started writing in 2015 and wrote some more of in 2018. I joke to myself that it's a tradition to work on it in October, as I originally had a goal of publishing it on halloween (in both years). I have more of it that's unedited from the 2018 writing session, and I do plan on finishing it.... so maybe look out around halloween 2024?

This one is easily my best work. Reading it is almost like an out-of-body experience for me because I mostly don't remember writing it but it's written just the way I like.

As with all of my fiction pieces, I came up with one single-sentence description of an event that I wanted to describe, then went 50 layers deep into the backstory and haven't gotten to the event in question yet.

Working title: Camp Avana, an original fiction work that I started in June 2022 and did the NaNoWriMo-equivalent 50k words on in the next 30 days, then slowed down on quite a bit but am trying to keep working on. I sort of intentionally treated this as practice: I want to get used to things like doing an extended project, making plans for the plot and sticking to or adjusting them, revising and being willing to throw things out, etc, so I specifically decided not to focus on trying to make this one perfect... or even good. I do really like significant parts of it, but the flaws I already knew are there are definitely there (like... not having a plot), and I don't know that it'll ever be something I recommend anyone else read, per se. But, who knows! I do really like it.

My longest project by far, of course. With my current plans it will be like 150k words and nothing of substance will happen in any of them. Maybe someone will find it relaxing?

Oh, and I made this blog so that I could start tagging posts with references to this piece despite the fact that no one has ever read it yet and so no one would have any idea what I was talking about. Tagging things for your OCs is its own reward.

untitled adult fiction project that I won't go into detail on because... well, yeah. This one is actually from before Camp Avana and I've written more than 3x as many words on it as Caramel and Sugarplums combined, so until recently it was technically true to say that, by word count, very possibly the majority of my fiction writing experience was explicit. Thank god that's no longer true.

This one is mostly notable because I wrote it on my phone, and I actually tried changing that and realized that I can't write in the same style on a phone screen and a laptop keyboard, so for consistency I had to keep writing it on the phone. (If I finish it I'll edit it on a laptop, of course.)

To be completely honest, for what it is I honestly think this one could pretty good with some serious editing, but if I ever post it publicly it's not gonna be on this blog.

"unannounced project": Not a real WIP, but I just counted them up and I have 2500(!) words of design notes for the setting of this hypothetical fantasy story. I probably don't intend to post them because I really like setting-based surprises in fiction and if I ever do figure out a plot and characters and write the story, I'd want to reserve the ability to surprise people with some of the details as they read it.

edit: yay more stuff to add!

see the thorn twist in your side, a notes document for writing down a dream fragment I had that immediately went extremely off the rails and became a personal challenge to see if I can write melodrama and angst. I may change the title, I dunno, but it felt like it deserved one of those loosely related song lyric titles that everyone does for their cool edgy fanfic.

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you’d expected?

A lot more, actually. I just went back to check, and holy crap, that word count is amazing. I'm proud of myself, tbh. And a lot of the time, I felt like I wasn't writing enough this year. But hey, 41 one-shots, and 8 chapters for NPFP? That's quite amazing.

What’s your own favorite story of the year?

NPFP. I'm very proud of that fic and where it's going. I'm very excited to write the next couple of chapters because there's gonna be a lot going on, and I cannot wait for my lovely readers to see it!

Did you take any writing risks this year?

Well, kind of? I wrote my first Stisaac and Stackson fic this year. Never thought I would, but I took the leap... and it kinda worked out? So yeah, I'll definitely keep writing for those two ships. lol

Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the new year?

Mostly to keep writing. I also want to establish some kind of routine for myself. Also, I really wanna finish NPFP next year. So, yeah, that's gonna happen (and finish all the prompts for BTHB... and WIPs in general). Also, be a bit more confident in my writing and not freak out so much when I'm writing for ships that I haven't written as much of before.

Most popular story of the year?

NPFP remains at the top.

Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion:

Nothing, really.

Most fun story to write:

NPFP, but I also really enjoyed all the minifics I wrote in the past few weeks. They're super fun (and super stressful because they're supposed to be short. The amount of subplot I had to cut.... 😂 It's a struggle)

Most unintentionally telling story:

Ooof, I think there are bits and pieces in every single fic. I can't help it. It happens sometimes.

Biggest Disappointment:

Well, I don't consider any of my stories a disappointment, but I am disappointed in myself for neglecting NPFP in the second half of the year. But I burned myself out, but now I also know not to do that... so is it really a disappointment?

Biggest surprise:

Writing Stisaac and Stackson, I think. I always knew I'd eventually get to writing more Sterek once I was more confident in my writing.... but Stisaac and Stackson really took me by surprise (as did the reaction to the Stackson fic. So happy people enjoyed it).

[Spoilers for those who haven't played it yet ofc]

These are just some disorganized initial thoughts for your consideration:

So I'm pretty sure his "travel companion" that he keeps mentioning is our twin

Does that mean our twin has gone to the exact same places as we've been going?? Dainsleif seemed to be familiar with all the locations we visited in Mondstadt but I suppose that could've been from an even earlier journey

And the possibility that the Abyss is trying to mislead us bc we hadn't encountered any abyss mages since Dvalin 🤔🤔🤔 what do they want??? We know (kinda) that our twin is watching our progress and that they're the prince/princess of the Abyss so like are they trying to keep us from getting in the way of their plans so as not to accidentally hurt us? Though something tells me we're gonna get tangled up in it one way or the other lmao

Dainsleif said that his goal is to oppose the Abyss so perhaps he's got his own secret plans to try to stop our twin (as is also supported by what he said at the end of the mortal travails video about proving ourselves worthy of stopping "her"/Lumine probably)

Also turns out I'd been pronouncing his name wrong the whole time lmao I had been saying dains-leaf instead of dains-lif

Important observation he looks like post timeskip Dimitri from a distance when I had to meet him in Dvalin's Lair I legit thought he was Dimitri for a sec XD

Anyway those were my thoughts about the new quest lmao my internet was cutting out the whole time while I was trying to play like dsfkdksjf pls I just wanted to talk to blond eyepatch man

Important part of this post:

I took a lot of pictures of Dainsleif if you want to use them as references (or appreciation). The pictures are under the read more tag so if you don’t want spoilers, don’t read anything and skip to the read more.

Also, he calls you and your sibling “idiots” through money.

He asks for 500 mora and (this is probably just a coincidence but considering Zhongli tips Xiangling 888 mora I’m sus). The number 250 [二百五] or ( èr bǎi wǔ) means “idiot”.

If someone calls you 250, they can say (nǐ shì wǔ bǎi) or “You are [250]”. But if you give someone 500, this can be taken as saying two people are stupid (250 + 250 = 500). I mean, that’s probably not how it works but I think it’s funny to imagine Dainsleif being too polite to call us stupid.

I know right? When I saw the leak for it and seeing it confirmed in patch notes, I was so confused. Wha-Why are you here so early? I wasn’t expecting you for another 5 years at least. I’m happy to see you and your beautiful model in game but at the same time I was so worried that we were going to get crumbs of interactions. Same thing with Guizhong in Zhongli’s story quest. Genshin please...finish your stories (that’s fucking hilarious coming from me considering I still have a part 2 to Childe that I need to write), but I’m honestly just happy that he’s in the game. But yes 👀👀 more lore food.

You know, I was talking about the archons a bit with @maagdalen and, I may have been misunderstanding or reading the wrong message, but they brought up the idea that what if the archons’ personality is based on their regions country's? So for example, Venti’s personality adopts the German mentality because Mondstadt was modelled after Germany? Obviously, I have no idea if that’s true because I’m not from or am German but in the context of Liyue and Zhongli. I can definitely see some sort of connection.

But some food for thought:

“But cyro archon is very viable since she's suppose to be a kind hearted person that needed to be cold for the sake of freedom. or peace. something like that.”

“Sorry, but this is stupidly Russian style. No matter what you say, people will always be dissatisfied. Of course it's not that bad...but it's something to think about.“

But yess, @svnflowery said the same thing. That Dainsleif was Lumine’s “guide” the same way Paimon is our guide. I actually think that’s an interesting idea. That Lumine has gone to the exact same places as we’ve been through. It actually makes me wonder (since we can play as both her and Aether), that Lumine went through the same story line as Aether. She met Venti, Zhongli, everything that’s happening right now. She’s already been through, then when she reached the Khaenri’ah chapter she failed. So she decided to spin the clock back and change destiny. I mean, this is me spit balling and I don’t think this happened but it’s something to think about.

You know funny enough, hasn’t Venti been asleep for a while? Either way, he doesn’t really strike me as the type that truly wants to be an Archon. He says in his voicelines as well that “that’s a problem for Mondstadt to deal with”. So it would be easier for the Abyss Order to mess some things up. While Zhongli has been alive for 6000 years and I highly doubt Abyss Order can do anything to him haha. If we’re going on that “Lumine has already been through this journey” she could be trying to re-make or lead us on the same path.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Dainsleif was our guide, then when Lumine spun the clock back and aligned herself with the abyss, that’s when they split. That could be a reason why he’s trying to oppose the abyss order but really I think it’s because the Abyss Order’s goal is to basically set the world on fire (or something like that). I always pronounce character names wrong and I don’t understand why people make such a big deal out of it. You know who I’m talking about, my pronunciation isn’t completely shit to the point you don’t know. So why do you keep yelling at me??

Also. The most important part of his quest was it was “Aether’s version” of the “We will be reunited” trailer.

It even showed the crushed dandelion flower and the ruin guard footprints. IT’S OUR SISTER.

I knoww, I was searching for his vision and got weird pics but that’s alright, I LOWKEY HATE THE OPERA MASK SO MUCH. GIVE ME ACTUAL MASK. THERE GOES THE “SEPERATE COLOURED EYE” ART OF KHAENRIAH PEOPLE. Yo, knock off Dimitri let’s go.

I love Dainslief’s english voice but I hate Xiao’s en voice. What a dilemma. I usually play in chinese but wow does Dainslief sound old. Jp is slightly better but I hear grandpa vibes. Korean isn’t bad and I actually don’t mind korean xiao so korean we shall go. It’s weird. I like Dainsleif english voices, Xiao chinese voice, paimon korean voice haha. Jp is usually just good all around but I have preferences. But tyty for telling me your thoughts! I’d love to hear about the Xiao quest that just dropped. Beautiful boy

AN: part 4 is gonna get angsty I just finished it

Anything involving greens was a heavy battle between you two, as Ralph seemed to have some kind of vendetta against them. The more blue you got, the less you fought and you eventually settled on a cool tone to use for the laundry room with a compromise to paint floral accents in a forest green tone along the edges of the back wall. You did find an exact replica of one of the original wallpapers in your second bedroom which you wanted to move to the living room.

Colors selected and purchased, you went home starving and managed to scrape together some left overs with a side of rice to fuel you to start on the real work. You also bought brown paper to cover the solar room window holes until you can finish that room as its own project.

Ralph rolls up his sleeves and puts on his bleach stained lounge pants to help. You lay down tarp and use up 3 rolls of tape to cover the kitchen and the dining room. Every window and door is wide open as you set your record player to play some 'whistle while you work' type of albums. And whistle he does that husband of yours, enjoying your company and shaking his hips dramatically to make you laugh. You two haven't had this much fun in so long it feels like.

The summer citrus color you chose for the kitchen was really working for you. Ralph intended to put the wallpaper up in the other room to get 'double the work done' but still you find him working the same wall just to be close to you. You talk about missing that classic NYC pizza and dinner tomorrow and Ralph promises to ask his colleagues about any music shops in the area.

You take a nap on the porch swing to get away from the paint fumes, an iced tea almost slipping from your hand. When dinner time comes, you cook while he details the removal of the old wallpaper from the dining room to work tomorrow. He's rambling about using a third coat on the living room paint and you don't think it's necessary but you know he'll agree with you come morning.

"Come eat Ralph Vincent," you scold him for getting paint on the door frame but all is forgiven when he sweeps you into a hungry kiss.

"I'd rather eat you right now."

Ralph's flirtations are interrupted by his own ractious growling stomach and you laugh at him as you shove a plate into his hand. You eat together by the window in the living room. While it hasn't been painted yet, you have moved the furniture to the middle of the room and the fumes from the kitchen and dining room are still very strong. You hope it doesn't affect your sleep tonight (or hope it puts you down like a dose of melatonin).

"Floyd's got a boat," Ralph tells you. "Says he takes it out on the water almost every day. Asked if I wanted to join him."

"And are you?" You spin another forkful of angel hair spaghetti on your plate.

Ralph slurps his like a child. "Am I what."

"Are you going to join him on his boat?" You speak slowly and patronizingly. Ralph pinches your breast and almost makes you drop your plate. "No. I hate boats. I hate water. I don't want to be trapped for hours out there listening to him talk about paintings and philosophers, at least at work I can walk away."

You chuckle. "I think Floyd sounds very interesting. What do you have against him?"

"Nothing," he protests, "he talks too much. He's loquacious– that's what Justine calls him, and she's one to talk. If you must know, he's actually my favorite– he knows when to keep his nose out of my business."

Dishes are made slightly more difficult with Ralph hanging off your shoulders. He peppers kisses up and down your neck, even finds a hickey from the morning that's started to fade and he remarks you. You dig your dripping fingers into his hair when he finds that spot on your neck and gives it some much needed attention.

"Ralphie, baby, please," you whisper, "I could use your help with these."

Dishes are done in record time and suddenly you're being whisked away to your bedroom (not that you were complaining). This room has the wallpaper that you had no intention to change aside from a fresh upgrade. Ralph takes your hand to spin you around and back you into your shared room all the way to the edge of the bed. Along the way he plants kisses from your hairline to your collarbone before he lets you fall atop the thick quilted bedspread.

He gazes at you with a warm expression. The soft "my girl" he whisperes makes your heart swell.

You expect him to pick up your legs and pull you by your knees to the outside of his hips (want him to even), but Ralph has other ideas it seems. It's not until his head is between your legs that you realize what he's up to (or rather down to). You gasp a lung full of air and grab him by the hair of his head.

"Jesus," you sigh.

Your husband's rumbling laughter causes your thighs to twitch. "Say my name, I'm the one doing all the work."

"Yeah but you love– aha!" His beard brushes your inner thighs and leaves a delightful burning sensation in the deepest part of your soul. "Fuck…"

You pull his hair harder and feel the soft locks stretch in your bloodless grasp. You can feel that immortal coil wind tighter and tighter inside you as Ralph devours you. You start chanting his name, the pitch of your voice beginning to crescendo the closer you get to that fire cracker ending. Ralph doubles his efforts, eager to have you fall apart on his tongue and fingers.

He's more than making it up to you tonight.

When you come, your body curls in on itself and your thighs lock around his head, effectively deafening him. You have no idea if he can hear the scream that rips from your body but you can't either as your eyes rolls back in ecstasy.

You relax onto the bed and feel it dip with an additional weight to your side. You slide into Ralph's easy embrace, his dry hand coming up to hold you to him and just rest for a bit.

"Fuck," you say huskily, "you're really good at that…"

Ralph kisses you in answer, trying to deepen the connection but you have to twist away to catch your breath. Instead he plants lingering, sweet kisses on your neck, your cheek, your hair. His hand caresses your back in circles until you're nearly asleep from the motion.

You flinch when you feel his nose brush against yours. "Baby… don't fall asleep." He sounds so sweet until his voice darkens and he says, "I'm not done with you yet."

You lose track of time and all you can feel is Ralph Lamont. You're both covered in a sheen of sweat and his hips rock leisurely into yours. You don't know who grabbed who but your hands are tangled together and refuse to let go. Ralph's breath dusts over your neck, cool in contrast to the fire of his physical form pressed against you. You want to come again but you let him draw it out, let him love you tonight.

"Ralph." You whisper in his ear, begging with no pressure to change pace. You're happy if he's happy and he is very content to keep thrusting into you to his peak and slow down, never stopping but always making you want more. Your man kisses you flush on the mouth and adjusts his position. His thrusts change. They grow from hypotonic and shallow to a little hard and more purposeful. You moan at the feeling, your legs locking around his hips to draw him deeper despite your exhaustion.

Your orgasm washes over you nice and gentle, nothing like the force of the first time. You're conscious enough to lock your ankles around Ralph's hips, but it still doesn't prevent him from slipping his flushed and reddened cock out and finishing on your stomach as he always intended. You feel a strange tickle of disappointment as you come down from your high but push it to the back of your mind for later.

Some way, somehow, Ralph still has enough strength to clean you both up and tuck you into bed. He curls around your body despite the near unbearable heat and falls fast asleep, his soft snores right behind your ear lulling you under the tide of sleep.

DAY FOUR

"Morning."

Your Saturday is awash of more painting and moving furniture with Ralph. He made coffee and eggs and brought it to you in bed, then dragged you down to look at the frayed wires on the clothes dryer machine.

"Might be rodents," you muse. "I'll get some traps on Monday and find my soldering iron."

"We'll get traps tonight," your husband countered, scratching his chin, "the sooner the better."

You finish removing the old wallpaper in the living room and carefully put up the new one with little fuss. The kitchen still smells of paint but it's dry (it had better be, you left the windows open all night and it's freezing in here) so you put the kitchen utensils and appliances back and remove the protective tape and brown paper. Ralph is proud of the precision work done in the corners and edges, patting himself on the back and yours.

"We did good babe," he said, "by this time next week, we'll have the whole house done!"

You laugh at his optimism. There were still cobwebs to dust, cracks to spackle, floors to polish, windows to replace. This was the very reason he picked this place…

To keep you busy. To keep your mind from wandering to those dark places that linger in your past.

At least it was working.

¤~°Ghost Marriage: Lovely Bride To Be?!°~¤ Finale!

Previously...

Before the door closed, (Y/N) asks them something. "Can I please have something to eat? I haven't ate in a few hours."

Present Time.

It was now close to night after all the arguing of students had disbursed. Finally all agreed with Crowley and his raffle idea on who the grooms should be.

Once all of the participants names were in the Headmasters hat. He shakes his hat around a few times and stops. Carefully pulling out a name a few names. Crowley coughs and clears his throat. The crow announced the lucky four grooms for operation "Lovely Bride To Never Be".

"Rook Hunt, Epel Felmier, Riddle Rosehearts and Ace Trappola!" Headmaster Crowley yells over the quiet teens. Gasps and groans filled Sam's shop. Yet no know decided to go against their headmasters choice. Grim doesn't even bother to question why the crow had choose them.

The four grooms step in front of their peers as Crowley starts talk with Sam. Not seeing the jealous eyes directed at his winners. To which they gave calm or smug expression. (*Cough* Epel and Ace, *Cough*.)

So the headmaster buys the items they needed for the operation. Not knowing that nightfall was closing in. "Considering that the time we have left until the wedding, this is our last chance. If this plan fails.. (Y/N) will lose her life!"

The four chosen teens gulp at the thought. The kind hearted prefect will die they do not succeed. They will not let that happen! "Since the ghost groom is in a suite. You shall also wear formal attire, or act like a prince, if you don't you will be not seen as a challenger."

Crowley gives the four grooms the things they needed. All the while Ortho had hacked into the security cameras to show to his peers. Standing outside, the students that weren't excepted all crowed around to see the footage. Once the boys are done changing. Stuck in formal wear, handsome as ever.

Their peers, friends, gave compliments and snide remarks. Cater takes a couple of photos and posts it on his Magicam. Tagging it, #Ghost groom, #Saving (Y/N) from Ghost groom and #Tuxedos! "The wedding ceremony is approaching now, the servant ghosts must be on high alert. Please be ready when the time comes!"

The four grooms nod. "No problem. I'll prove I'm the most suitable person to become the groom!" Riddle said with determination in his eyes and voice. "Oui, me as well."

"I'll reach out to her with words of love if my sincerity gets to her, then she will understand my feelings." Rook remarks with spark in his green eyes too. Epel joins in too with his seniors. "I'll save and catch her heart!" Ace agrees along with them, "yeah! Let's succeed in this plan in a instant!"

It was now night time and the three grooms had arrived to the gates of NRC. "Epel is late, it's already time to go..." Riddle said with uncertainty in his tone. "Did he get cold feet or something?" Ace asked to the two seniors.

"Non, non. Monsieur Crabapple would never wimp out, especially if it's for Madamonsieur (Y/N) of all people." Rook smiles without a care. "He'll be here soon..." "GUYS!!" It seems the fourth groom has arrived. "What took you so long.. Long."

Ace snark words die in his mouth before they could even come out. Grim, (who had decided to come with the grooms,) eyes widen at how fast Epel was coming towards them. The loud gallops of a horse draw near and nearer. "Sorry about the wait!" Epel says as he looks down at Ace and his seniors.

"It took me longer than I thought to get ready." His steed neighs after his words. Ace looks at Epel with astonishment and confusion. "Why are you on a horse exactly!!?!" Epel returns Ace confusion, "eh, why, because... Isn't prince charming supposed to make his entrance riding a horse. Right?"

"Do prince's even still do that!?" Ace turns to his seniors, "dorm head, Rook, you agree right!?" Rook was strangely quiet as he addressed his dormmate. "Epel... Your initiative, critical thinking, determination and preparation are astounding and very très bein!!" Rook applauded at Epel's effort.

Riddle could agree with his fellow senior. "You're even riding the most ornery horse in the equestrian club." The redhead pointed out with pride. "They're listening to you very well, you'be got a Mack for handling horses." Epel bashfully smiles at their praise, thmaking the two.

Ace interrupts the three by asking how they were gonna get inside. The Heartslabyul dorm leader tells him to quit his whining as Rook tells them that the wedding was starting in three hours. "How did I end up in the wrong?!" Ace asked, mostly to himself. "Ok.. Let's go! OPEN UP!" Epel yells.

One of the guard ghosts had heard the racket and sees the four, plus the horse and Grim. "Good evening, we've come here to win the beautiful brides hand in marriage." Rook said to the ghost. "Suitors and challengers, huh.. His highness will not be pleased to know of this, and so close to the wedding as well... I shall not let you through! Take your leave!"

Epel smirks, "are you sure? You're going to regret turning us away." The lavender haired boy chides. "What? You seem very confident." The gaurd sighs at the persistent suitors. "... Fine, I'll be the judge."

"Pretend I'm his highness bride and show me how you plan to propose! I will let you through the gate if you prove your feelings are ture." The ghosts remarks, waiting for one of the suitors to propose. "Guess we gotta do what he says if we wanna get through the door." Ace said with clear unpleasantness.

"... *Ahem!* Please allow me to go first!" Epel said with a hint of timidness in him. "Go ahead, show me your heartfelt proposal!" The ghost replys back. Epel starts to speak. "I will... Make her the happiest bride ever."

"Because whenever the person I love is in trouble. I'll come to their rescue, like a knight in shinging armor! Whatever happens along the way, I'll get (Y/N) through it all- er! I mean YOU through it all. Just like you had done for me! I will be the one to protect you from all harm."

"So, I am asking for your hand! I implore you. Please marry me!" Epel said with such emotion. Not knowing of the cameras that had captured all of it. Nor would any of the others know when it came to their time to propose.

The guard ghosts eyes widen, "your expression is totally serious... And you're even on a white horse! Like a true prince!!" Ace sighs, "the horse.. So I really was wrong?" The ghosts asked if Ace was a servant to Epel, Ace said no.

"Oh, so you're a suitor? Very well. Let's see how you'd propose." Ace gave a cheeky grin as he starts. "If you marry me, there's no doubt in everyday will be filled with fun."

Ace words grow softer as he continues, his eyes turn a bit nostalgic. "There might be times we argue or fight but... I'll always be the one to apologize. I'll be by your side through thick and thin and always work to make you smile."

"That makes me the best for the princess. So... Don't lay your eyes on anyone else, please marry me!" The ghost nods after Ace had finished. "Your desire to make your partner happy is bright as day! You're the real deal." The ghost then apologized to Ace for mistaken him as a servant.

"That was a decent proposal." Riddle said with a coy smile with amusement. "Hey, could you knock it off with that reaction? I'm just saying my lines!" Riddle's face doesn't change in the slightest.

"You say that but I'm sure that you put real thought into it." Grim goes along with Riddles teasing. "Nyahaha, Ace is trying to act all cool, y'know." The furrbal laughs at Ace, "shut up!" Riddle's teasing look turns into a confident one, "it was just like you Ace, but unfortunately, the princess is going to choose me!"

The soldier ghost points at Riddle. "Alright, you're up next. Show me your moves!" Riddle complied as he began his proposal. "I vow to be honest and sincere!"

"I promise to never hurt the person I love. If it's for my princess, I'll put everything on the line. I humbly request... Won't you choose me as your groom?" The ghost was speechless, uttering a "oh's" and "oh my".

"You seem so reliable and gallant... Even my heart is all a flutter." The ghost said in awe at the red headed groom. "Yeah it was so cool, Senior Roseheart..!" Ace agrees with his tuxedo buddy, "dorm leader got game too, huh?"

Riddle goes very quiet after his turn. "... Th-*ahem* that is enough out of all you all." The Roseheart male turns his head away so none of the group could see his pink cheeks. "The three of you were marvelous. It's my turn next." Rook spoke up as ghost gave him a look.

"The bar's been raised pretty high. A half-hearted proposal isn't going to cut it all!" The ghost declared to Rook, who just smiled and nodded. "You are truly beautiful, please allow me serve you for evermore. May I present a poem of all my feelings for you who has been watched under my eyes for months..."

"I wish to bring warmth to your cheeks, my dear. Long have your eyes only shed lonely tears. Oh, can they even see the happiness you bring to me and others around you. Vibrant is the live blooming in our rendezvous. Ever so gently, let me take your face to rest upon my hands. Under my care, may your lovely (e/c) eyes gaze ever sparkle with hope and romance."

"Woah.." The two first years said in sync, with awe and disgust. Riddle reviewed Rooks oddly embarrassing poem in his head. "Hold on! Read his poem vertically!"

Riddle explained that Rooks poem spelled. I LOVE U.

Rook congratulates Riddle on figuring it out. The ghost was surprised at the last suitor. Telling them they were very interesting challengers for his prince. The a pair of unfamiliar eyes watched them up above. Elias called his guards to go outside to the gates.

"The bride must have her friends here as well!"

(Y/N) tries her best to keep calm as she stuffed her face with cake. Taking off one of her gloves, she used it to smear off some of the crumbs off her cheek as a napkin. She puts her glove back on and stabs her fork in a glop of frosting. "*Ahem*!" A cough rings out in her "changing room.

The (h/c)-nette looks up from her food to see the ghost nanny. "My dear lady, it's time to go the wedding hall." Nanny ghost said happily. (Y/N) nods, bringing her herself to stand. Patting down her outfit to make sure crumbs weren't stuck to it.

The nanny ghost fixes her tiara and takes her arm into his. He smiles at her gently, like a grandfather giving his daughter her first pat on the head. The two walk out of the room in arm and arm. Heading to the cafeteria or the "alter". He then lets go of her before she walked down the aisle, flying off to one of the seats.

The "bride" walks over to the alter, but her "groom" was nowhere in sight. (Y/N) shifts in her place awkwardly as the ghosts chatter. She shifts around her bouquet and looks at the flowers. Stephanotis, Peony, Rose, and Lilly's. Her mind tires to remember the meanings, but her thoughts were interrupted when the ghost prince floats in.

The guest grow silent as music starts to play in the background. Elias smiled widely as his little ghost pals fly around him. "I'm so sorry my dear princess, I hadn't noticed the time." Elias said sadly as little tears well up in his eyes. (Y/N), feeling bad for him even though in her odd circumstances, told him it was all good.

"Oh! I forgot to mention, your friends are on their way here. You didn't tell me you were bringing your guests as well?" Elias tells her with innocent confusion. (Y/N) felt sweat drip off her back as guilt and happiness wash over her.

"They're comin-!" Her sentences wasn't even finished yet before her friends arrived. Riddle, Ace, Rook and Epel all wore nice suits while Grim was being held by a ghost soldier! Her friends were bound in ropes as they tried to get out of them. "Release us!"

Riddle demand with anger, "watch your tongue!" A soldier shouted at the hot-temperted red head. "Guys!" The "bride" yells in fear. The group looks at (Y/N) and are all stunned by her appearance.

She wore beautiful wedding attire, but the look on her face did not gleam like her outfit. "Why are they-!" "They were causing a ruckus, saying they were here to challenge me for your hand. But I decided not to hurt them, they are your friends after all. Think of it as a wedding present!"

The room goes quiet after the prince spoke. (Y/N) stares at her friends faces and her eyes slightly light up. She gives a sad smile and bows at them. Mouthing a few silent words to them. They stare at her with fear, but keep quiet.

"Now let's start!" The ghost groom announced as the priest ghosts starts to talk. "Do you, Prince Elias. Take this young woman as your wife and be with her for all eternity." "I do!"

The preist smiled at the boys eagerness. "And you my dear lady, do you take him as your husband for all eternity?" (Y/N) takes a glance at her bouquet of flowers and smiled softly. "I don't.." Gasps of shocks fill the air.

"Wha- but why?!" Elias cried out, as (Y/N) friend's cheered. The (h/c)-nette takes in a breath before releasing a sigh. "Prince Elias... You are a good soul, a sweet one. You put on a brave face for your subjects and friends so they could be happy."

"But you aren't, your just putting your ideals on me so you could finally find your happily ever after. Elias, you need to understand. I'm not your true love. You don't even know me, I don't even think you know why I am even here in Twisted Wonderland." (Y/N) says sadly, taking the princes hand in her's.

"I'm sorry about what you've been through. Though you need to see that you have to stop searching for someone who is your "ideal" cause I'm not a princess!" (Y/N) chuckles bitterly. "There is more to somebody than how they seem to be."

"I... I never meant... I just.." Elias tried to form words, though he couldn't. "I was never able to get a "happily ever after" when I was alive.. I wanted to find my princess and have a future with her. Yet that was stolen away from me, now I'm stealing you away from yours." Elias cried, his blue eyes closing.

"I'm sorry... I deeply am." The ghost groom cries, wiping his tears away. "Even after five hundred years, nanny was right. I still act like a child." This time, the prince laughs with bitterness. "I think it's time to finally leave.."

(Y/N) nods as Grim got out of his captors restrains and throws a wedding ring to her. "Place it on his finger! He'll disappear for good!" Grim yells at her. (Y/N) catches it and gives Elias one last smile as she puts on the ring.

"Thank you..." The ghost groom whispers as he started to disappear along with the other ghosts. When he was finally gone, the only thing left was a wedding ring. (Y/N) crouched down and picks it up from the ground. Throwing it in a trash been soon after.

She goes over to her friends and undid their restraints. When she finished, the group of grooms give her a hug. (Y/N) hugs them back, placing a small kiss on each their cheeks in gratitude. "Thanks..!" She blushed and looks away from them and focused her attention on cleaning up, not seeing her suitors rivaling looks in their eyes.

The ghost groom had lost his chance for her heart. But who said her suitors will?
