My favourite thing about the Marauders fandom is that no matter all the ship fights, the majority agree on Wolfstar.

A coworker was watching TikTok videos during her lunch break and I heard "Name something that looks better when it's in black" (or whatever the sound was) and I could picture all the Remus and James pics following...

Ok, ok, hear me out!
What do we know of the Patronus Charm? It takes the form of an animal which somehow represents the person, but not like the Animagus form exactly as it can be affected and changed, unlike it, due to circumstances, such as deep love for someone, but it also doesn't have to take a form, if the spell isn't too strong, or if the one making it prefers to hide the animal.
And what do we know about Remus's Patronus? He hides it throughout the whole PoA, despite teaching Harry the spell. And then in the end it is revealed that it's a wolf. Not a werewolf but a wolf.
Now let's go back for a moment to how it represents the person in a way but it can also be changed. I feel like the whole part of a wolf but not a werewolf (that are supposed to still be pretty close to actual wolves, not the movie... thing that gives me chills with how ugly it is) indicates that Remus is not completely associating himself with the werewolf thing, even though we know it has left a mark on him and he struggles with it a lot. But his Patronus is still not that exactly. Also, just a wolf doesn't scream "I'm a werewolf" really. But he still hides it. Yeah, it could be panic and overthinking but it could be something else too. What if he doesn't hide it from others but because he doesn't want to see it because it hurts him?
And let's go for a moment to Half-Blood Prince where Harry sees Tonks's Patronus and he first thinks it's a dog and thinks it's about Sirius until in the end it turns out it's a wolf. And let's remember that the books are from Harry's POV and he's not the most observant.
What I'm trying to say with this whole thing is, what if he did that mistake twice? What if Remus's Patronus was not a wolf but a dog?! (We know he had felt guilty and wanted to tell Dumbledore that Sirius is an Animagus but somehow couldn't and he did think he betrayed them all and what if that's why he didn't want to see the form of his Patronus)
I know it's a hot take and I'm slightly delulu and lots of people are gonna come up with different arguments as to why no, it's indeed a wolf but still...

There is one very fast way to guess if someone ships wolfstar and this is when you ask what their favourite part of the series is...
...If it's Prisoner of Azkaban, well...

Everyone is obsessed with the Blacks being part French and thus knowing French and how Sirius would say things and Remus won't know what it means but I present you:
Sirius confessing in French and Remus responding in FLUENT FRENCH.

Sometimes I see a post and laugh because why is it some sort of general agreement in this fandom that Sirius would treat/refer to Regulus as his baby brother?
Or like, fan arts with them as children and like, Sirius looks 5 and Regulus is a baby.
Like, their age difference is around a year. That's a bit too little of a difference for that.
Sure, maybe he'll always see him as his little brother but like, once they're not children, that's literally nothing.

I know that's old but I was about to go get coffee at work and asked a coworker what kind of coffee he wants and he just said "I like my coffee like I like my men. Black." So now I can't stop imagining Remus saying the same thing.

For all the people who write College/University AUs and make Remus an English literature major:
As an English literature major myself, yes, you're absolutely right! Everyone who studies that is gay.

One thing that makes me crack a bit about HP is the... Names. And like, how we have literally the weirdest names, and at the same time... Very normal names.
And it's not justified with "Well, purebloods are just *extra*" either. Sure, some of them (*cough* the Blacks *cough*) are, but we have so many other characters with names that just don't make sense.
For example, James is a pureblood. But his name is a really normal, really common one. Same with the Weasleys. They are also an old pureblood family but their names are just something you can hear on the street.
But then we also have Hermione. She's a muggleborn and most likely her parents didn't know their daughter was a witch. But please, tell me how often can you meet someone with that name.
And we're not even commenting the symbolic names that literally tell you who the character is, if you're aware of mythology.
I know there are a lot of unique names around the world so it's not such a big deal but I can't help but crack.

Edit: Nevermind. I actually started reading it.
***
I have an important question:
Can someone who has read Crimson Rivers please, please, please give me a detailed summary about wolfstar's storyline? Spoilers and all. Or send me a video or some detailed summary they've read?
I know a lot of people are going to say "just go read it" and I would, the length doesn't scare me, but I'm a wolfstar shipper mainly. I don't mind jegulus but - sorry, read the beginning of the sentence again - I just don't ship it. And I know they're the main ship. Also, I know what happens with them there, there's much more information (obviously) about them. I really wanna know about wolfstar, tho. I've seen small bits but I can't find a detailed explanation.
I'd be very happy if someone can help and not attack me for not shipping jegulus, again I don't MIND the ship, I just don't think I'd read such a long piece with something I don't ship as a main romance:)
