Thank you @hawt-pants-exe and everyone who got me to 5 reblogs!
I’ve been very scarce using Tumblr, but I’m really grateful for all your support on my GO piece! Again it was really fun to draw and I’m happy you guys love it! 💙🌟💙(=
A DA DTIYS Entry | Good Omens | “It’s Killing Me”
Hello again!
I’m really sorry it’s been a while, and I hope this isn’t coming too late 3=)
This is a recent DTIYS submission I made for a good artist friend of mine off DeviantArt, to recreate her PHENOMENAL Good Omens artwork, cultivated from the song “It’s Killing Me” by DC Talk, which fits great!
And a couple of weeks ago I finished Season 2… and it makes this harder to look at 😢😭
This is my first piece of GO fanart, and this was ineffable fun to draw!
It doesn’t beat the original but it was fun recreating it in my slightly inconsistent cartoon style (actually my first time drawing a character from a side profile :3)
Mega thanks to my wonderful friend (TheTie-DyeJedi) for introducing me to GO, cuz I’m a fan of it now and really enjoyed watching and talking about the series with her.
Gotta read the book next, and can’t wait for the next season! Hopefully it’s got a happy ending!!

I think it’s already been 15 years since I was first officially diagnosed with an ASD.
And being #autismawarenessday, I also wanted to celebrate it with this little sketch, which illustrates some of the general traits I share:
I’ve struggled to socialise, still to this day. I’ve gotten better with making friends now though. 🫂
The spearheads of my biggest interests have been: Thomas the Tank Engine, LEGO, Doctor Who, The Olympics/Paralympics, Photography and Graphic Design. ❤️💙
My comfort activity is drawing, and making digital designs is something I’m fixated on pretty much everyday, work-wise. ✍️🎨
Listening to soft rock music, especially classics from the 80s/90s is also my personal favourite and super uplifting - LOVE guitar, synth & drums 💖🎸 🥁 🎹
+Ooh, not sure if you do the same, but I always picture these cool animations in my head whenever I listen to certain songs.
I’ve always felt a deep connection to nature, specifically with the wind. Can’t describe it, but I tend to feel one with it. 🍃
I’m a serious perfectionist… like for this sketch which took longer to finish than hoped 😐
Also like to keep everything tidy and sort things out 👍
I hate last-minute plan changes; They don’t end up being too bad, but still they just suck.
Being touched - like suddenly poked = No >=|
Finally, I like wearing comfy clothing, and repeating quotes from films/TV shows - “I cannot say” (Benoit Blanc, Knives Out) 🗣️
So yep. I’m sorry I’m not sure if I’ve explained or illustrated in good detail 3=\
For a while I wanted to share and express what it’s like for me as an Aspie.
And I think it’s awesome, for any autistic person, to have the most wonderful insight to the world around you, and having a special interest that makes you You, and to use as your own strength!
And from what I’ve learned, you help make people you know & who care about you happier (=
When it comes to photography, there are a variety of shots a photographer can take that help you tell a story for your viewer. Many of the terms I’ll be using this month originate in film-making, which I learned in various courses in art school like storyboarding and film history, and are equally relevant to toy photography.
A CAMERA SHOT size refers to what elements are included in your photo within the outside edge (called the FRAME) of your photo. It can also refer to the purpose of the photo.
Some of the most common framing camera shots are:
Extreme Wide Shot
Wide Shot
Full Shot
Medium Wide Shot
Medium Shot
Medium Close Up
Close Up
Extreme Close Up
Some camera shots that refer to the purpose used:
Establishing Shot
Detail Shot
Reaction shot
POV Shot
…And many more!
The use of multiple of these different shots for your photography will create variety and interest between photos. It's also great for maximizing the photography you can create with one set/build. Personally, I find that by shooting both wider and up close, I save time by setting up a scene once and getting multiple shots out of it.
This month’s tips will touch on subjects from previous Tips. In 2020, foolishbricks (IG) did a brief overview of some of the different camera shots in his 📖TIPS: Anatomy of an Image, and nocturnelle9 (IG) had tips on camera lenses and focal lengths in her 📖TIPS: Wide angle vs Telephoto. In 2022 @minifiglifescenes wrote a series on camera angles in 📖TIPS: Using Camera Angles.
I’ll return next week to go over Wide Shots. Thanks for reading!
I like this duality I’ve noticed; Philip and by extension Jacob Hopkins insist aloud that they’re the Good Guy and how Camila calls this out as a red flag in and of itself, actually indicating they’re the Bad Guy. Hopkins in particular serves as a decent summation of Philip at his core; A man child deliberately out of touch with the reality around him, in order to entertain a flattering fantasy where he is the one who is more aware than the rest of these sheeple about this hidden threat among the Other that is absolutely there for him to defeat.
By contrast, Luz constantly asks and interrogates herself on whether she’s the Bad Guy, and it’s that self reflection, that willingness to consider other perspectives and view herself from them, that keeps Luz from becoming that; It’s what reassures those around her that she is indeed the Good Guy, because she is harboring no delusions that she necessarily is.
But critical examination is also there to give you conviction now that you are certain; After a constant, gaslighting crisis of ambiguity fed by Belos, the Titan doesn’t give Luz a “Maybe, if, under these circumstances” answer. He gives Luz what she really needs to hear, some much-needed certainty, by reassuring her that for whatever similarities she may have had with Belos, she is NOT him.
Because Luz is actually willing to critically examine herself, respect others’ perspectives and boundaries, and is ultimately approaching from a place of actual good intent where she wants people to be happy, included in, and contributing to a kinder world, instead of preferring removing them from the equation as a solution. Casting them out as rejects first; In the end, that’s just something people decide for themselves by refusing to co exist with others.
But Luz will always have open arms for those who are sincere about changing, and besides; She’s still a victim of abuse, she’s no Christian and is entitled to some anger and lack of forgiveness; There’s a lot to be said about performative niceness vs actual kindness. Those boundaries aren’t what could’ve made her evil.
This is my digital design of an Olympic medal, specifically a Winter Youth Olympic medal.
I entered it for the medal design competition for the next year’s games in Gangwon and today they revealed the winning designs.
Sadly it didn’t win, but I’m more so upset by the fact that I didn’t get my entry through in time 😥
That’s my fault; I should’ve completed it sooner.
But it’s alright, might try for the next competition 🌟
+Dante Akita Uwai’s winning design “a sparkling future” looks far more ornate and artistic =) Congratulations to him & his emasculate medal!!
++My design write up below ⤵️
Medal Entry Design: The Glowing Spirit of Winter Fun
“The design of this medal is meant to express the dynamic, jovial spirit that grows and glows in a fun winter landscape. It is set in the backdrop of an array of trees that coalesce to create a silhouette of a mountain peak, signifying growth and the goal of reaching higher.
At the bottom are two figures playing together, which by combining the dynamically curved elements and the round heads creates an image of a smiling face. The rays of sunlight help radiate this happy spirit of activity from the Olympians as they play, learn and grow together at the Winter Olympics.”
