Just now realizing that Doctor Who is basically a game show with a lot more lore and also aliens
They’re literally just spinning one of those little wheels to see what kind of Doctor they’ll get next, but somehow they always miss red hair but manage to hit British Person™️ and Undiluted Sass™️ every single time. And also trauma comes as a participation bonus!

15 Years on the Spectrum
Tumblr media
Yep, JIC you didn’t know, I’m on the Spectrum (=
I think it’s already been 15 years since I was first officially diagnosed with an ASD. And being #autismawarenessday, I also wanted to celebrate it with this little sketch, which illustrates some of the general traits I share:
I’ve struggled to socialise, still to this day. I’ve gotten better with making friends now though. 🫂
The spearheads of my biggest interests have been: Thomas the Tank Engine, LEGO, Doctor Who, The Olympics/Paralympics, Photography and Graphic Design. ❤️💙
My comfort activity is drawing, and making digital designs is something I’m fixated on pretty much everyday, work-wise. ✍️🎨
Listening to soft rock music, especially classics from the 80s/90s is also my personal favourite and super uplifting - LOVE guitar, synth & drums 💖🎸 🥁 🎹
+Ooh, not sure if you do the same, but I always picture these cool animations in my head whenever I listen to certain songs.
I’ve always felt a deep connection to nature, specifically with the wind. Can’t describe it, but I tend to feel one with it. 🍃
I’m a serious perfectionist… like for this sketch which took longer to finish than hoped 😐 Also like to keep everything tidy and sort things out 👍
I hate last-minute plan changes; They don’t end up being too bad, but still they just suck.
Being touched - like suddenly poked = No >=|
Finally, I like wearing comfy clothing, and repeating quotes from films/TV shows - “I cannot say” (Benoit Blanc, Knives Out) 🗣️
So yep. I’m sorry I’m not sure if I’ve explained or illustrated in good detail 3=\
For a while I wanted to share and express what it’s like for me as an Aspie.
And I think it’s awesome, for any autistic person, to have the most wonderful insight to the world around you, and having a special interest that makes you You, and to use as your own strength!
And from what I’ve learned, you help make people you know & who care about you happier (=
Happy Autism Awareness Day! 🌈🌟💙

Neighborhood Police Box
A little old lady making her way past a typical urban police box (koban/交番) near Sakuragicho Station in central Yokohama, Japan. Note the police officer’s bicycle on the right, which has a little white box behind the bicycle seat for documents the officer will use when doing work on-site, including passing out parking tickets.
Although there are police stations like what you’d find in the West with administrative offices, jailing facilities, etc., most interactions with the police in Japan occur at your local koban, which are spread throughout the city and are often located in convenient areas where there is typically a lot of foot traffic.
The sign on this koban shows what police station has jurisdiction over this koban, and then lists the name of the koban: “Kanagawa Prefecture Isezaki Police Station” “Sakuragicho Station-Front Koban”
If you ever lose your wallet, bag, camera, etc., on a park bench, on the street, etc., please visit the local koban first. If the lost item is found by a Good Samaritan, this is where they will take your item in hopes of finding the owner.
Before the advent of cell phones with maps, I often used kobans to ask the police for help whenever I got lost and needed some directions in finding my way back home. I have also been fortunate to have my wallet returned to me by a stranger who turned it into the local koban.

Last but not least, an old custom box design with its modernized counterpart! it's inspired by the one of the first few police boxes from the 1880's-90's!

Glasgow has the highest concentration of Police Boxes in the UK (and thus the universe?). Many are used as little businesses, like coffee stands and CBD dispensaries.

Sylvester McCoy Memoir Film Announced
Film Stories is proud and delighted to announce its first ever movie project – and it’s a feature that’s a big part of the 80th birthday celebrations for the brilliant Sylvester McCoy.
Entitled Sylvester: Who’s The Real McCoy?, the film sees Sylvester telling his remarkable life story on screen.
He explores his youth growing up in Dunoon, his training to be a priest, and how he made the jump from working in the city of London to a life of performance.

He explores his youth growing up in Dunoon, his training to be a priest, and how he made the jump from working in the city of London to a life of performance.
There are the adventures in the Ken Campbell Roadshow, his journeys around the world, and – of course – his life as the universe’s most famous Time Lord in Doctor Who, and his time in Middle Earth across The Hobbit movies.
Tumblr media
Sylvester also candidly tells the story of losing his father just before he was born, his mother’s mental health battles, and growing up with family members in the absence of his parents.
The film is centred around a specially-filmed new interview and conversation with Sylvester, as well as materials from his personal archive. There is a sporting chance that the playing of spoons may be involved too.
It’s the first time Sylvester has released any kind of memoir.
Sylvester: Who’s The Real McCoy? is a Film Stories and Whynow production. It is executive produced by Sylvester McCoy and Clare Eden, produced and directed by Simon Brew.
The film is currently in post-production, and release details will be announced soon.
