two-faced calf born on february 28th on breaux farm in louisiana: “This morning 2/28 we woke up to our normal routine of work and school. Checking on the cow that was in labor, we found that she had her calf successfully but with a 1 in 400million chance, she had a calf with two faces. We know this calf will have a short life span and will most likely only live a few days. She has beaten a lot of odds by being born alive and currently still alive at least 14hrs after birth. We have named this calf Deux Face, French for two face.”

as of today, march 1st, she is still alive and doing well.

things people do after having a nightmare that isn’t crying

struggle to catch their breath

grab onto whatever’s close enough to ground themselves in reality

become nauseous / vomit

shake uncontrollably

sweat buckets

get a headache

things people do to combat having nightmares if they occur commonly

sleep near other people so they can hear the idle sounds of them completing tasks

move to a different sleeping spot than where they had the nightmare

leave tvs / radios / phones on with noise

just not sleep (if you want to go the insomnia route)

sleep during the day in bright rooms

things people with insomnia do

first, obviously, their ability to remember things and their coordination will go out the window

its likely they’ll become irritable or overly emotional

their body will start to ache, shake, and weaken

hallucinate if it’s been long enough

it becomes incredibly easy for them to get sick (and they probably will)

I cannot stress enough how hilarious it is that psychiatric testing is often just questionnaires on the internet and ppl online are like "UM YOU CANT JUST TAKE A TEST AND SELF DIAGNOSEEEE,,111..1!!1!!11!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" when it's like, if the test is close enough to what the experts are using, you quite literally can, and should if you are part of a minority demographic who's likely to go undiagnosed or underdiagnosed with whatever condition you're suspecting you have.

i don't think people really understand what's happening in gaza. with each passing day that sees more and more palestinians dead, it's becoming easier and easier for those in the west to perceive them as nothing more than a statistic. they might engage w the occasional palestine post, sure, but it's just as easy to scroll right past that moments later w no real outrage for the genocide retained.

it's vital to stay reminded that palestinians who are with us today won't be with us tomorrow. it's happening every second of every minute of every hour, and it's relentless. somewhere in gaza a little girl is losing her mother, a little boy is watching his siblings bleed to death, elderly people are infirm with starvation and illness, palestinian women and girls are being sexually assaulted and kept in cages, fathers are leaving tents to find food for their families and not coming back. this is all happening right now, and it's a direct result of the west's complacency. it's a direct result of their not seeing arabs as people worth saving.

it might be hard to compute as a westerner, but this is real. don't let your privilege blind you to your humanity.

We are hearing reports from the North of Gaza, almost daily now, about babies dying due to malnutrition. Think about it, babies can only sustain themselves on either breastmilk or formula in the first months. Formula had practically become nonexistent in Gaza as a result of Israel’s blockade, while mothers simply cannot produce breastmilk when they themselves are malnourished. Do you see the cycle here?

If you continue to argue about whether or not this is a genocide, you're making a fool out yourself.

a man self immolated in front of the israeli embassy in washington dc yesterday. not just any man. an active member of the us air force. he live streamed his death, and said that he refused to be complicit in a genocide any longer. he said that compared to what palestinians were facing every day, setting himself alight was nothing.

let me reiterate. an active duty air force member burned himself alive because he was so disgusted by what the us government was openly supporting. he live-streamed his own suicide, so the whole world could bear witness as a man in his military uniform set himself on fire to protest his government’s complicity in the horrors that we have all been forced to watch happen in real time. he became a new horror. footage of the immolation blurs him out the moment the fire catches, but you can hear him. it is over in seconds, really, but you can hear him screaming. he shouts “free palestine” until his body physically cannot make any sounds other than guttural screams of agony. and then he falls silent. a police officer arrives and points a gun at his still burning body, shouting at him to get down on the ground. and it is over.

his name was Aaron Bushnell. he was twenty five years old. and he isn’t here anymore because the political ruling class has decided that genocide is perfectly fine as long as it preserves imperialism. in the coming days, people will try to discredit him. to say that he was mentally unstable. they will try to bury his actions to save face and defend israel’s propaganda. do not let them. aaron knew what he was doing. he knew what he was doing when he put on his military uniform, set up his twitch stream, and made his final walk up to the embassy. he knew what would happen to him when he flicked that lighter. do not let them forget. aaron’s blood is on the hands of the political ruling class.

I thought everyone could agree that genocide is bad. It's like a basic thing that anyone with a hint of morality can understand and agree on.

But apparently, I was wrong. Like, so fucking wrong.

Because I just had an hour long fight with my mother about Palestine and Israel where, after I listed multiple people (including children) and their very preventable deaths (with fairly gruesome details while crying), she responded

"I'm sorry this upsets you so much," and "Why are you looking at things like that?"

I don't know, why the fuck aren't you? People are dying. Innocent people.

Mothers.

Fathers.

Brothers.

Sisters.

Sons.

Daughters.

Why don't you care? Where is your empathy? Your compassion? Why don't you care?

"Why are you crying?" Why aren't you.

'You're gonna go far' by Noah Kahan (to me) sounds like the characters from your favorite shows watching you move on.

"Well all be here forever" makes me think of the fact that they're never gonna change, and you can always come back and love them again despite moving on.
