Sir Pentious Redesign! (2/7)

It took way longer than expected to get this guy out but I think it was worth it!

Going to start off with the biggest gripe that Vivzie never makes characters look like their respective eras or set times. For Sir Pentious finding out hes OLDER than alastor made my jaw drop to the goddamn floor. While I was inspired by fashion from 1888, I mostly wanted him to have a steampunk-ish vibe and give him some things from times different than when he died. I guess I’m a bit guilty of making him look like he’s from a different era but he still doesn’t look modern I guess?

I took a big chunk of inspiration from the King Cobra for his colours and scales but I think leaving the type of snake he is a little ambiguous is more flexible.

Things like the green in his eyes and vest and gloves are once again my usage of the sin colour wheel I go crazy about. Sir Pentious is a very envious person in the show to an extent and definitely is in my rewrite. I also kind of wanted him to look like an opposite to Angel Dust with all his pink because inverted colours yknow. Seeing as they eventually become friends and all that in my rewrite I’d like for them to look nice together!

The brown is also a lot easier on my eyes than the black and red and yellow was so I’m pretty happy with that too. I was very attached to his goggles though so he gets those and the little extra magnifying bits for designing

I think I’ll eventually end up adding more to this post later on but for now this is what I’ve got so far! I love this funny british snake and I plan to get the next redesign out much sooner… hopefully. 🧹

Ok, so I have this headcanon why the cannibals in cannibal-town are so nice and not like the rest of hell. Since the Sinners can only permanently die to angelic steel and would otherwise simply reappear after some time, I think the cannibals just eat each other. Like, they have a well structured system (that Rosie probably suggested or enforced) where some of the cannibals are "killed" and then eaten by the rest of them. And once they are all eaten up it's the turn of the next group. They are not very violent because they have a good system. That would also explain why they were immediately on board when Alastor said that they can eat angels because they'd get to eat something else than cannibal flesh

Hazbin Hotel Talent Show

The characters come out, ready to perform in a mandatory talent show hosted by God.

Alastor plays the piano while his shadows play multiple other instruments, including but not limited to, the cello, the violin, the bass, and a drum set.

Vox can't play any instruments. But he can connect a piano into blue tooth and pump some digital ai generated music through it and pretend like he's playing.

Valentino plays the flute. Just some random ass instrument.

Husk? He's more of a cello guy.

Vaggie knows how to play the lyre, but she's not good at it. Surprisingly, she's great at the electric guitar. Adam taught her. But those are bad memories now and she avoids the instrument entirely.

Rosie plays the clarinet. Sure. That's fine. All elegant and shit. What you didn't know is she's also great at death metal drumming!

Charlie can sing screamo. Screeches the likes you've never heard!

Mimzy is a singer, of course. No instruments. Just dancing.

Niffty's got some mad skills on the triangle.

Sir Pentious plays the harpsichord (precursor to the piano).

The eggbois play a mix of bells and maracas. <- One day Pen tried to distract them with bells and maracas, and they went around the hotel making 'beautiful' music. Everyone was shouting at Pen to stop them, but he just stood in the corner, hands clasped and eyes watering at his precious eggbois.

Velvette beat boxes.

Tom Trench plays a vitar (mix between a guitar and a violin).

Katie Killjoy thinks music is a waste of time. She stands there and summarizes everyone's performances instead. They're all shit. Especially Tom's.

Lucifer and his clones come out at the end, each holding a set of bagpipes.

All in all, God regrets this mandatory talent show.

....

God asks about Alastor's furby piano once everyone is gone. After one song, God understands why Alastor got sent to Hell.

Random Sir Pentious hcs

― As well as canonly watching people sleep, he sleeps with his eyes open like actual snakes do sometimes.

― Was a mama's boy as a kid and still sometimes shows that side of him.

― Once tried speaking brainrot (skibidi toilet, gyat, sigma, etc.), never again.

― Reads bedtime stories to the egg boiz sometimes.

― Had a son who died at a young age and is in Heaven.

― Loves drawing sometimes but is horrible at it.

― Laid all of the egg boiz himself like an actual snake (Brainrot/Shitpost hc)

― When he first went to Hell, he was crawling and clawing on the ground from not knowing how to use is tail/body for a week or so.

― Yawns like a cat; His jaw unhinges and opens very wide, and once he's done, his tongue flicks out a bit with that innocent look.

― Has a bad sleep schedule.

― Once sent an anonymous love letter to Cherri, and when she came to visit, she told Angel about it with Pentious nearby, who whistling and looking away, saying stuff like, "Lord, I wonder who could possibly have done that..." After that, he never did it again in fear of being founded out.

― In the Bible, it states that in Heaven you will forget about everything/everything bad, so possibly when Sir Pentious went to Heaven, he forgot about everything.

― He's a yellow ring-necked snake.

― Will pretend to die like an actual snake (in the right moment) if he's being overdramatic or if he feels offended/threatened.

BONUS (AND KIND OF UNRELATED)

― After Sir Pentious double-died, Frank (egg boi) and Cherri started being closer with one another, having a mother-son type of relationship
