i have so much beef with people who preach "support small businesses! support local artists!" and then only buy books from millionaire authors from barnes & noble. you are not obligated to support small businesses or indie artists or indie authors, it's fine to buy from barnes & noble and big name companies we all do it and we all will continue to do it but don't preach that you love supporting small businesses and indie creatives and then not live up to that. we know if you're buying or if you're not

Forest dweller
It's a beautiful day out today after lots of rain and wind for over a week.
I had built these mushrooms for another project that I ended up abandoning so this was a nice way to spruce up a minifig portrait with more LEGO to make it stand out.

why is it so hard to start sci-fi and fantasy books. like man u just have to automatically know that we're in a different dimension and that dragons and murderous dwarves live in the woods and that there's a prophecy that's not a prophecy that is a prophecy idk what to tell u

something i love about old literature is people just wrote a bunch of crazy shit for fun. because they could. fuck genre and target audience, you're the only literate fool in the village! no one's asking dante for smut, he's writing himself journeying through the depths of hell, going hog wild and now he's considered a classic. i love old literature.

Hi! I love your account, can I ask how do you do your gradient texts on your posts? I used to do them a few years ago but I think tumblr updated a lot and I just can’t seem to be able to do it anymore😭
thank you sm! and yes this is how i do it, im not super tech savvy or whatever so this in my opinion is the easiest way to do gradient text posts.
first go to https://www.stuffbydavid.com/textcolorizer . you should be able to type in whatever you want to be gradient text in the box that says "Enter your text", and then pick whatever colors you want in the little color finder box things (?) that say "start color" and "end color". from there you should see your text under it typed out with the colors you chose. copy the HTML code, NOT the gradient text. Go back to tumblr on your computer and hit the settings wheel on your post and change the post type by the Text Editor label from rich text to HTML, and then copy and paste your html code from the text colorizer into where the phrase was that you wanted to be gradient text (remove the original phrase and copy paste the code, does that make sense?). then just save your post and it should have saved as gradient just fine :)
im really bad at giving tutorials btw so if that didnt make sense, click here or here to read some other tutorials for the same method i use.

we need more sapphic books and movies that are casually but also openly sapphic. characters who are in love and are confident in that love without having big identity crises. and yes, we do need stories of discovering sexuality and discovering you're sapphic and growing to be confident in your identity, but in my opinion the journey to accepting and being proud of being sapphic would be so much easier if representation of sapphic couples was treated as normal, as beautiful, and as valid. we need more couples like nina and dre from the chi, marla and fran from i care a lot. media where sapphics can just. be sapphic. and that's okay.
