I was stressing and felt off colour today.. made ang ku kueh fresh but got my ratios all wrong so they spread and lost their imprint...Life isnt perfect , It didn't feel like a win but to see the smiles and giggles and the contentment made me happy beyond belief I have always loved kueh to no end and i love learning to make Kueh myself... never did it as a kid but as a migrant it is good therapy in finding home through food... Looks cute might delete later As lunar new year approaches it is time to prep... There is a tradition my mum and I have been doing for about 8 years prior to this we would just buy the snacks. We don't have extended family here nor did we have access to alot of the traditions that made lunar New year feel like home. But what I secretly loved about this is that it would be me and my mum cooking for hours on end. Yet she always makes more and more than we need to give and share. She is utterly selfless in alot of ways...
