I hope Nicki Minaj & Cardi B aren’t feuding at all, but REALLY hope they aren’t fake-feuding for publicity. Here’s why:
You hardly ever see men portrayed this way in media—feuding with each other, fighting for attention.
Now, the reality of this is that there’s a (job) scarcity complex amongst women, and it’s been carried on over decades. Women feel a lack of stability and insecure. It’s innate.
I’d go as far as calling it transgenerational trauma. Women have struggled to become more than a housewife, to be admired for her BRAIN and SKILL SET.
You will still see this in nearly every place of business. What’s worse, is a lot of men enjoy this, watching the “cat fight.”
They use it, allow it to persist, and if not directly, by proxy, teach it (the behaviors) to our youth. So how do we fix it? We (better) integrate. Few women hold executive positions. This holds true to anywhere in the country. We need to see this in radio/music/tv/entertainment groups. Equal representation and all that. 😏
“..See a bad bitch gettin' shine, you should love it
Cause every time a door opens for me, that means you
Just got a better opportunity, to do you
They don't understand, these labels look at numbers—it's statistics
I’ll listen to Drake, but I’ve never felt compelled to watch Degrassi. Everyone’s acting all hyped about the reunion, and I’m just like suuuuure you watched it. 🤨
Refers to a man or woman in a position of power that uses their status to manipulate and control others, while making sexual advances without consequence.
“Keeping the internet open is critical for us. It powers social movements, and provides a global platform for people of color, LGBTQ folks and the most marginalized communities to tell their own stories, run their own businesses and route around powerful gatekeepers.”—Candace Clement, Free Press Action Fund Campaign Director via @fight4future
Starting today, June 11, U.S. internet providers will be legally allowed to censor and block websites and apps, and force you to pay extra fees to to access your favorite places online. Your internet sanctuaries, the communities you are part of, the ones you have help build up, could be decimated.
Will it happen today? No. Next week? Probably not. The changes will not be swift. They will come piece by piece. A slow, tempered death to the free and open internet we love.
It doesn’t have to be this way. You can still make a difference, Tumblr. We need the House of Representatives to sign a discharge petition in support of the Congressional Review Act that would force a vote on the floor.
Contact your reps—let them know you support net neutrality.
It’s so easy. Just go to BattleForTheNet.com, fill out the form, and follow their directions from there.
They have an updated widget for you to throw on your websites to urge others to make a difference. You can put it on your Tumblr. Let your followers know what you stand for, encourage them to do the same. It’s so easy to do. Just copy and paste their small line of code right into the customize theme page on the web.
Go, go, go, go. We know you have that passion in you. We’re fighting right alongside you.
Tom Cruise is a complete psychopath. I really can’t say this enough.
He’s on the SIXTH “Mission Impossible” film; Is anybody actually watching these movies, or do they solely exist to inflate his ego?? -I really want to know.
My pitch: “Mission Impossible 7: Saving Tom’s Career”
I personally have a distaste for his acting, but aside from that, it’s like he tries REALLY hard to come off as a normal, clean-cut individual, but can’t quite manage to fool us, and shake away that crazy.
He’s also got a smug face.
I guess that’s the problem with fame; it’s inevitable that you become a self-righteous snob with delusions grandeur.
Now, if you add that with naïveté, susceptibility to cultism, and some clearly visible mommy issues, then you’ve got yourself a Tom Cruise.
By both the sound and intention, Demi Lovato’s new song, “Warrior,” is reminiscent of Christina Aguilera’s song, “Beautiful.”
Though it’s not my ☕️, I can still appreciate an artist trying to use their platform to uplift and inspire those who’ve been hurt by bullying and abuse.👍
