International Women's Day has become a patriarchal commercial event where everyone talks about every single issue except the exclusive plight of women. It's always "feminism=equal rights for everyone" but never how the whole world exists on domestic, reproductive, economic and emotional labour of women, and that we women as a class suffered patriarchy for more than 12,000 years. Our struggle gets equated to the non-existent problems of our oppressors-m3n, who magically become victims of the same system they benefit from. We, women are the only oppressed group who are coerced to include everyone and everything in our rights movement, even on a day, which is supposed to be specifically for us and our cause

"you wouldn't criticize a cis woman for [misogyny]!"
1. yeah i would
2. a "cis" woman is an actual woman
3. a woman with internalized misogyny is tragic but very different from a man being misogynistic

thank you dylan mulvaney for the days of girlhood music video 💕 because of you more women will finally come to terms with the fact that your movement is full of misogynists who think being a woman is all about one night stands, pool parties and shopping

A really interesting and well-researched essay on Pauli Murray, a black female civil rights activists, and how her legacy is being twisted and her identity erased.

Hi, anon!! I know you didn’t ask me, but maybe you will hear that.
We all sometimes don’t feel comfortable in our bodies and that’s okay. Society pressures us with a lot of stereotypes about what being a girl or a boy means. Especially they pressure girl, sexualising and objectifying them. Just presumption, but maybe you’re trying to hide your chest because you’re afraid that people will start sexualise you or view you as sexual object? Maybe you hate stereotypes about women and being «girly girl»? Just take your time and please consider itđŸ„șđŸ„șđŸ„ș
Hey cas, just having a little gender crisis, hoping you might be able to lend some knowledgeable insight.
Lately I’ve been feeling kind of put off by my body and being referred to as a girl. I’ve been wearing two sports bras and baggy clothing to try to hide my chest and I think I’m going to get a much shorter haircut soon.
I just wasn’t sure if there was something wrong with me, if I was making it up for attention, if I am trans or gender fluid or who knows what.
There are some days when I like my chest and hair and others where I don’t, my friend pointed out I’ve been thinking and talking about being a boy an odd amount and it makes me kind of shifty when I’m referred to as a girl, but it also makes me kind of uncomfortable being called a boy and being labelled non binary doesn’t seem to feel right either.
Help. Please. I’m so incredibly confused.
Hello! Hi! Hey, guess what?
There's nothing wrong with you.
It's totally okay to question your gender! It's also okay not to know for sure, and to own that you don't know!
It might be helpful to look at this (oo, updated!) list of nonbinary identities. I know you said nonbinary isn't quite right, but some of these are nonbinary-adjacent or more specific, which might help.
If you want, come back and let me know your thoughts! Which ones seemed more like what you've been feeling?
It's going to be okay, love, don't worry <3

what on earth😭😭😭there is so many misogyny in this post omg «most manly thing» so you think being a woman is being weak? with your statement you literally said «I hate being called woman because they are weak, but men are not weak, so I will call menstruation «manly» thing
«goddamn respect» so women can’t be strong? women can’t be metal?
so sick of “feminine products” and “feminine napkins” and that stupid shit.
SAY PERIOD, say menstruation/menstrual cycle if it’s more formal. fuck you
Me bleeding out of my pussy once a month is the most manly thing i could’ve done for the past 8 years of this hell on earth. Periods are fucking metal. show them some goddamn respect
Edit (14 March 2024): the terfs and transphobes found this post. Please block them and don’t interact. thanks k love you transmascs <2

I really wanna cry when I think about when I was 10 and I desperately tried to think what could I do because I didn’t want to stop watching cartoons and play with stuffies but I knew when I would be marrying at 20-30 I would have to let it go, because I knew any men would mock me about that
girl, sunshine, you’re gay and you are still watching cartoons and have plush toys, it’s okay

You realize how much something is meant for you by the way it makes you feel. That guy you're dating, is he leaving you anxious and confused, or do you feel uplifted and safe? The job you have, does it make you feel miserable, or do you feel excited every day to collaborate with interesting people on interesting projects? That trip you booked, do you feel anxiety and uncertainty, or do you feel peace and exhiliration? The energetic blueprint of each thing is a hint on whether it's leading you to your higher self or straying you from it.

what “feeling better” can look like after using a coping technique:
beng able to get up and walk around safely
thinking/talking more clearly and lessening of brain fog
a willingness to re-engage with a situation/emotion (even with some reluctance)
ability to do a task you did not want to/could not do before
being able to plan and problem solve (even if you still don’t know what to do)
improved concentration/focus
more understanding of a situation
calmer and slower thoughts (rather than scattered thoughts/rumination)
slower heartbeat and breathing
faster heartbeat, if doing exercise, and momentum that gives you a chance to do a task before you sit down again
being able to sleep easier
an ability to look at the big picture and not get lost in the details
feeling that you can “manage”
ability to control outbursts/destructive behaviour or pause before acting
managing to stop crying
I think people tend to assume their mood is what will improve after trying coping techniques, however, your mood is not the full extent of your mental health, and it doesn’t totally define whether or not a technique has helped you. When disorders cause symptoms like chronic emptiness and low mood, it’s worthwhile to pay attention to your body and your abilities to look for signs of improvement, which can then have an affect on your mood in the long term.
