We're actually getting somewhere with this one finally (I've been procrastinating this specific piece for like- 3 days. Lol.)

(Also dealt with artblock but thats a whole diff subject)

Uhhh I don't know i just have been trying to fix my compositions lately. i feel like shape-wise and silhouette-wise they have been getting pretty dull and I've been neglecting them in favor of placing the spotlight on things like different facial features/bodies between character and symbolism. But I think I'm finally starting to figure out my style and stuff- which I think is really helping. Ty for listening to my schizo rambles- oh and also this piece will have a speedpaint. Toodles!!!!

Okay ermm im having like such bad artblock issues so have this that ive made like a good amount of days ago instead bc im too lazy to take pics of my sketches???? bulk post incoming insanely soon tho.

This is Kaedehara Arashi (no I didn't steal the name erm....)

He's part of some random universe I'm making again with one of my friends and his lore is way too extensive to just explain in my post so if you're curious just ask me instead but I'll be going over a few random things um

Everyone in the world has like some sort of power and depending on wether it's socially considered good or bad its called either a blessing or a curse. He has a blessing turned curse called "Kabuki Kaede - Narukamis Curse" (and I've tried my best to do research about what names I'll be giving my characters and their blessings but the internet can only offer so much in terms of cultural information). From what I've been able to gather (i like to give my characters names with symbolism) Kabuki is a dramatic form of japanese theatre, and Kaede basically means red maple (or red maple leaf). Yes, I did steal the Narukami mountain name from genshin BUT IT'S A PLACEHOLDER because I haven't made a map yet. The curse refers to the split he created by accidentally finding his power, creating a long ravine down a meadow. The ravine is now known as Narukamis "canyon".

Tho i did my best with doing some research specifically about the dragon spirit that is so called "kabuki kaede" i know literally nothing about the geography of japan so don't drag me just yet- this is also heavily genshin inspired.

I've sure been missing for a bit but I'm back with content i promise

I'm taking name suggestions for them/her in the comments pls! ♡♡ The speedpaint of this piece is also up on youtube, my channel is very small currently (under 20 subscribers atm) so I'd really appreciate if you could check it out!

My first video that actually got significant effort put into the editing LOL. In the video I also tackle exactly *why* I left instagram in the first place, and lemme tell you, it's a bit complicated. I did my best to narrow it down. I'm not gonna bring it up here because it might be triggering to some people (there's a warning for when it comes up in the video too so dw.) Anyway! Predominant features/first noticed: deep eyebags, bright but tired eyes, a lot of piercings, crazy hair.

Personality----------------------

Good traits (and major virtue): very adventurous, grew up needing to stick to peers for survival so is extremely loyal and protective of friends. Does his best to stick up for himself and is loud about it.

Bad traits (and major flaw): Bipolar, extremely, dangerously impulsive. A little short tempered, loud, nippy.

With time, he realized that they mustve had their reasons, but he is salty for getting such an unfair chance in life. He's suppressed his roots in an attempt to fit in, trying to forget his language, not engaging in the traditions, telling himself it's all stupid. But he secretly longs for it deep down, for a sense of belonging to his ancestors.

Anatoly is part of the same yellowstone AU and lives on the opposite side of the same forest that Trevor found peace in. He lives with a small group of runaways, most of which teens, in an abandoned veterinary clinic.

CWD immunity: no

CWD partial immunity: yes

Crawler chewed clawed and gnawed at his own face and cheeks when infected, being in a horrible state of mind. The disease deteriorated his mental and took a toll on his brain. Tho cured he is now extremely avoidant of people and very snappy. He is either fully apathetic and doesn't respond to stimuli, or extremely reactive and it seems to be at random.
