Holy Shirt! It’s Here! The long referenced, heavily procrastinated, thoughtfully researched Ready Player One episode!
Joined by Bella and Mina of the Geekend Amazons and guest host Keith, the characters and content of the Book “Ready Player One” are dissected. This episode was recorded prior to most of the trailers being released and months prior to the film release. It’s a little dated, but not too much.
The intro that was added to the beginning of the episode was recorded on the road using my phone and Mina of Geekend Amazons was kind enough to add it to the beginning, even after all the work she did editing this behemoth.
This is the last official send-off of “Talk Nerdy to Me” as our intro and outro. We are infinitely grateful to K-Face Rules for allowing these little no-name podcasts to use their song for the past almost 2 years.

As a podcast that covers intersectional feminism and pop culture, the Amazons know that representation matters! Listen to them discuss LGBTQIA+ representation (and the lack thereof) in media. And help Amazon Mina celebrate finally having a bi/queer latinx hero!

“What a dreamy, dreamy night. I am so GRATEFUL to @glaad, my friends, my partner, my boss @djgoor, our writers, and the CAST and CREW of @Brooklyn99FOX for supporting and elevating the visibility of bisexual people.”

The media has a bigger influence than we think over how women and girls look at themselves and each other. In this episode, the Amazons watched the 2011 documentary “Miss Representation” and had a no holds barred discussion about the topics covered - from plastic surgery to “redomestication”, it’s all pretty awful.

In our second episode, Jen discusses the joys of knitting with Savanah. The conversation starts of predictably enough, exploring new motherhood and knitting as meditation . But before long, Savanah gets into the nitty gritty of competitive adult gymnastics.

In our first episode, Jen sits down with Aliyah to discuss making Southern food. Aliyah’s journey takes her from South Carolina to Berlin and teaches her about her family and identity. It’s a story that is fascinating and moving.

In this episode, Matt is joined by Dan of Techquila to drink some super boozy margaritas and discuss some interesting topics. This episode is a little higher on the swear jar dollar total, so listen with headphones at work.
Also, we have a new Intro and Outro: We Are Legion, written by Matt
Hope you enjoy the episode.

For two years now Geekend Legion has aimed to entertain and inform our listeners by discussing pop culture, social justice issues and making terrible puns. We pride ourselves in finding a balance between what we love, what our viewers want and what we need to discuss given the current social climate.
Until now, our podcasting network has focused solely on pop culture, but we recognize that there is a whole world of topics to discuss (some of our fans can only listen to Matt, Belinda and Mina discuss the MCU so many times, despite what those three might believe). So, it is with great pride that we welcome How to Make a Memory to the Geekend Legion family!
How to Make A Memory by Jennifer Tierney is a softer, more personal show that discusses the importance of creativity in forming human bonds. Something which Legion is all too familiar with and is proud to share with our listeners. Join us in welcoming Jen to our podcasting family and enjoy the softer side of Legion. We look forward to continued growth and evolution and know that How to Make a Memory is a wonderful first step towards the future.
Until we get all of the social media integrated, you should head on over to htmamcast.com and check it out!
