I hate when I have such a fun idea and plan but my skills just aren't at the place to do it. The starting stage of learning something new is both exciting and frustrating to me... but I know that no matter what in the end if I just stick to things it'll be so worth it lol

I have a fun surprise I've been working on for a little bit now, it's sorta a learning experience for me but I'm hoping whoever sees it will really like it.

Actually, that's something that bothers me a lot in Twisted Wonderland and I've probably said it before, but Yuu is so damn uninvolved with the plot of the game (events and main story) that sometimes I wonder why even bother having a player character. But the Masquerade annoys me in particular because it's literally a plot about "magic vs magicless" deeply rooted in the world building of their magic system, and somehow the only ever magicless person in the entirety of Twisted Wonderland is not relevant to the story.

Also, Yuu was introduced in the Prologue as the strategist/brains of the group, as a "magical beast tamer" who was implied to be capable of directing the others, so them not having magic wasn't as big of a trouble as it could be... and then they threw that idea away. And now Yuu is just there.

I'm not asking for Baldur's Gate levels of player character, but I'd love for my character to be more than a spectator in a story that was apparently supposed to be theirs.

I JUST FINISHED THE HARVESTON EVENT AND AHHHHH !!!

It has got to be by far my absolute most favorite event! Likeee the music, bg art, and story were all so sweet and lovely and god the characters involved were great. Im a thrown off with the race but i still loved how things ended. (ALSO THE CARDS AHHH THEY ARE ALL SO PRETTY, IVE WANTED EPELS CARD FOR OVER A YEAR AND IM SO HAPPY I FINALLY GOT ITTTT)

OH AND THE YUU INTERACTIONS I LOVEEEE! My one and only effort grievance with twisted wonderland is feeling like the Mc/player doesn’t interact nearly enough with the story but this event felt like it had some really sweet moments where Yuu got to be involved and i loveee! (Im loving the sweet lil friendship between Yuu and Epel, from the early chapter 6 shenanigans to this ahhhh my heart!)

Overall 100000/10, I wish i wasn’t so distracted with other things so i could of finished it sooner-

I love romantic adeuceyuu as much as the next person (seriously they are my OTP/OT3) but platonic adeuceyuu is everything. Even when I ship Yuu with others, those two will always be two of the most important and significant people in her life.

Ace and Deuce are definitely the type of people who take their status as Fem!Yuu’s/reader’s best friends so seriously. Even if she/you aren’t romantically dating them, they’ve/you’ve been through enough together for everyone else to understand that those two idiots are her/your ride-or-die platonic soulmates. Sure, the three of them would decrease the PDA if it makes Yuu’s/your boyfriend uncomfortable and they can tell that whoever she/you chose is making her/you happy (and she/you deserve every bit of happiness the world has to offer) so they’ll ease off on them but they need to understand that those three have a bond unlike any other, even though there are absolutely no romantic feelings involved.

Ace and Deuce: *To the boyfriend, five minutes after the relationship is revealed* You may be the boyfriend but we’re the best friends. You know what that means?

Yuu’s/Reader’s Boyfriend: What?

I have so many questions.

BUT FIRST OFF UUUGH I LIKE THE STYLE ITS SO EERIE AND STRANGE AND FITS SO GOOD WITH THE UNSETTLING ATMOSPHERE OF THE BG MUSIC AND SOLOMONS VOICE I LOVE!

Now back to thinking-

Im really curious about like every thing that happened in this, i feel like so much was told yet so little due to not having full context as to why Solomon was telling this to Mc (if he is even telling this to Mc).

While its obvious the demon in the story is Barbatos it makes me wonder if Solomon himself might be a stand in for the king or human in the story?

Him being the king would definitely make sense with the whole ‘Wise King Solomon’ thing that hes got going on and I think if Solomon does turn out to be one of the humans it will be the king, but I also think it would be interesting if he ended up being the crying human. Now to my knowledge we don’t know for how Barbatos and Solomon came to make their pact but I can see that being how they first met. (I know the human looks too feminine to be Solomon but I am choosing to ignore that for now because i just feel like there is going to be some crazy plot twist in all of this…actually backtracking a little it could be a younger Solomon before he became immortal?)

I would love to go on more about this but right now I have to finish an essay soooo maybe later-

What if Solomon happens to be both humans?

I watched back at the transition between the king being talked about and the human being talked about and it seems very possible that it was a subtle transition in time, so perhaps we were being shown more lore on the history between Solomon and Barbatos’s relationship.

With the king we’re first shown where Solomon ended up after meeting Barbatos, we see that Solomon is grown and powerful, self assured and ‘wise’ after he had earned Barbatos trust and formed their pact and then the scene transitions back in time with the crying human. when the two first met, where Solomon is younger, likely before he was even immortal and not yet this wise and powerful person.

Perhaps meeting Barbatos is a reason Solomon became a sorcerer? From what Ive gathered the existence of Demons and Angels isnt common knowledge in the human world so maybe Barbatos was Solomon‘s first contact with a non-human being???

Once I finally finish and post my Ace fic im gonna start a little fun project. Basically I’m just going to replay the main Obey Me story and heavily analyze each lesson, and while I do it I want to make an entire master list of everything I find, I just feel like there’s so many things that are constantly being overlooked and ignored by many, myself included. Plus i want to just practice analyzing things along with improving my writing skills.

Ahhhh right after I finished and posted the Hedgehogs fic I started to work on an Ace fic that's way harder for me than I thought it would be, overall writing is way more challenging than I thought it would be, and I admire fanfic writers wayyy more than I used to like it was already so cool of them to make fan content for free but now like... oh my god, I've read some beautiful fics that have been able to fully captivate me and feel like entire worlds of their own, just like...

People who don’t put spolier warnings in for twst chapter 7 are driving me insane.

I just want to wait and read the story for myself instead of watching the translations on YouTube but noOOoooo, i have to find stuff out by people just posting full on spoilers with no warning, stuff like that makes the games story way less fun when i do actually get to play it :(
