You did nothing wrong. I'm not sure how long that person has been on here, but it shouldn't take them long to realize that a hallmark of this site is that we "keep the tapes circulating" on incorrect quotes and well-known jokes and familiar puns. It's what we DO, and it brings us comfort. How many times have you seen a source on the incorrect quote post "stop telling everyone I'm dead!" or some such thing? Sources are fine, and definitely welcome, but you certainly should not be belittled for failing to put one on a post that is based on something so popular… you are clearly not trying to claim it as your own.

Thank you, I appreciate this ask very much. My problem genuinely has nothing to do with them wanting me to credit the source properly, I agree and it was an oversight on my part. It's how they went about it that bothers me. If they had privately messaged me or even sent an anon about it, I would have told them no problem and did it. Instead they embarrass me with passive aggression in the tags like I wouldn't see it.

Just. What an odd thing to fucking say on my dumb art. They said it like I wouldn't see it and I'm kind of taken aback that I'm being compared to plagiarists, because I redrew screenshots from a very well known sitcom.

Plus, if it was truly an issue I would have preferred they dm'd me like an adult.
