dabihawks headcanons🐥🔥

♥ when they meet up hawks likes to bring dabi snacks and stuff, whether it’s a chocolate bar or a whole takeaway meal (dabi thinks he’s making fun of him but he really just wants to take care of him)

♥ dabi does this thing where when they he touches hawk’s wings.the first time he did it he was trying to be intimidating but he saw hawks smiling about it and now he does it out of affection

♥ when he sees dabi, hawks nearly always greets him with a flirty joke and he delivers it so smoothly that he can get dabi flustered. however once he starts catching feelings he can‘t think on the spot so he starts practicing in his head all day when he knows he‘s gonna see dabi-he catches himself doing it and starts to think ‘oh-oh‘

♥ when dabi tells toga something hawks did for him she’s always like ‘ugh he’s such a simp’ and dabi finds himself defending him like ‘no it was cool‘ but why?

♥ hawks loves taking photos of dabi when he’s not looking and dabi catches him and looks through the photos deleting them and hawks is begging him saying ‘dont they’re so pretty’ and of course he doesn’t believe him but then dabi comes across this one where he’s leaning over the side of a bridge looking into the river and for a brief moment he sees himself how hawks does

♥hawks loves shitty and predictable murder mysteries so he’s always explaining them to dabi and bragging about how he predicted the ‘twist‘ dabi feels like he’s heard the same plot a hundred times

♥ twice stole bought dabi a set of nail polish colours and while dabi will only use the black on his own nails hawks let’s him paint his the stupidest shades of neon green and bright red for fun, when he’s out in public doing hero work he normally has his gloves on but when he takes them off he thinks of dabi

♥ hawks can‘t do ANY household chores let alone cook a romantic meal but he tries to make something for valentine’s day and is actually pretty proud of it, it tastes disgusting but dabi literally couldn’t care less because it was hawks who made it FOR HIM

♥ obviously hawks can’t really talk to anyone about dabi and his feelings for him so it takes him way longer to realise what he feels for dabi whereas dabi goes and says to the league ‘i hate hawks but-’ and they’re all instantly like ‘yeh u have a crush on him’

♥ once their arms brush against each other’s and hawks flinches at the feeling of dabi’s scars, after that dabi is heartbroken and certain hawks thinks he’s a monster like everyone else does

♥ one day long after that incident dabi is talking about how awful he looks and hawks just laughs ‘how could you say that you‘re the most beautiful person i’ve ever met’ and dabi tells him about how he saw hawks react to his scars. hawks is just baffled because he thinks dabi is the most beautiful person ever, so he makes sure to compliment dabi’s looks in the future even more than he already does.

♥ after being reformed toga starts attending UA, she’s so happy and excited to be loved and accepted by people her age in fact she has some strong friendships especially with ochaco, tsu and mina

♥ everything is going perfect for toga until she finds out she’s in class b not a

♥ on her first day she is excited to make new friends but as classes drag on she realises she doesn’t seem to fit in

♥ she is so wrapped up in her worry that she doesn’t notice kendo until they are leaving for lunch

♥ kendo taps her on the shoulder as she notices toga going the wrong direction

♥ toga giggles and thanks kendo leaving the other girl in a state of shock replaying toga’s adorable laugh

kendo does her best after that to include toga and help her to make friends in class b

♥ their crushes on each other only grow as they become closer and mina is close to pick up on toga’s feelings, not that she’s being discreet

♥ toga’s friends quickly become as obsessed with her love life as she is and make it their mission to help toga in every way possible

♥ as toga is behind tsu suggests that someone should hold one on one tutoring sessions to help her catch up, kendo is suspiciously quick to volunteer

♥ their first kiss happens during one of these training sessions, toga finally mastered a move kendo had been trying to teach her for weeks and while toga has her pinned down kendo is overwhelmed with pride so she kisses toga reducing her to a flustered mess

♥ the next day at school is awkward and they dance around what happened by avoiding each other but as kendo leaves at the end of the day toga stops her and emotionally confesses her love

♥ that’s when they agree to start dating, their first date is watching a movie at kendo’s house

♥ toga’s favourite seat is kendo’s lap, even if there’s plenty of room she’s resting her head on it, sitting on it or curled up like a cat rather awkwardly

♥ they love to copy each other’s signature hairstyles to surprise the other at school, kendo looks absolutely gorgeous

♥ toga is the type to endlessly talk about her partner, she never runs out of nice things to say about kendo

♥ meanwhile kendo isn’t so loud about her feelings but the way she looks at toga is enough to tell anyone she is equally infatuated

♥ toga gets taken in by monoma’s agenda against class a pretty easily and becomes like his hyper, little demon sidekick, kendo often finds herself having to reign her gf in the same way she has to with monoma

♥ their favourite couple to double date with is tsu and ochaco even though they prefer very different dates

♥ tsu and ochaco love picnics and walks in garden parks while toga and kendo love laser tag or watching a horror movie but that’s why they all enjoy their double dates because they get to try something different (also ochaco is the queen of laser tag so she doesn’t mind indulging them for a game every once in a while)

♥ when it comes to decorating their dorms toga is embarrassed to discover she doesn’t have very much personal belongings so kendo takes her on a day long shopping trip to find room decor and other items that catch her gf’s eye

aizawa helping kiri with his transition because kiri’s parents are fully accepting but confused about the process. kiri is actually one of the first people aizawa has came out to since school and he’s one of a small handful that actually know he’s trans- he just wants to leave it in the past and that’s completely valid but still respects kiri who would rather be open about it

deku tells all might that he has a crush on todoroki and bakugo expecting him to be shocked but all might just tells him it’s completely fine because when he falls in love he doesn’t see gender. deku is really taken aback at first but they spend a while talking about it and deku teaches him about pansexuality and then they get matching t-shirts

when todoroki visits momo’s house her parents are always asking if they’re a couple but really they’re just gay/lesbian solidarity

kaminari’s first crush on a guy was sero, when sero realised this he started to come to terms with how he couldn’t even imagine reciprocating. now they both laugh about the fact they were each others gay awakening

momo makes badges for everyone for pride month, she even made aizawa one although she was scared and shy to give it to him so she made mina do it

jirou goes to pride every year with her family and she takes momo along once they start dating, she runs into some of the teachers and shinso who went with aizawa and mic

dabi laughing at people online theorising about hawks’ sexuality because- he knows ;)

mic and midnight organise lots of events around the school during pride month, they go too far though when aizawa walks into his room and rainbow coloured confetti explodes everywhere. midnight and mic are cleaning it up for days

hawks brings the league a selection of flags and decorations so they can decorate for pride month but twice and toga end up going overboard so shigaraki and dabi are just mad about it

🦈👊kirikendo headcanons👊🦈

♥ they first came into each other’s lives at their second year sports festival when they had to fight each other

♥ it was a long and intense fight but kendo won in the end, as kirishima lay nearly passed out on the ground staring up at the victorious kendo he flushed with anger but also something else that made him dizzy with nerves

♥ after that they have a good hearted rivalry and both develop crushes gradually as they get to know each other better

♥ they both go to midnight to complain about how ‘annoying’ the other one is, she catches on to their feelings for each other but decides to let them work it out on their own because it’s funnier that way

♥ it’s undeniable that they are made for each other as they are both the text book definition of the other’s type, they can’t help but like one another

♥ kirishima admires kendo’s role in class b and strives to do as much for class a as she does for b

♥ there is one problem and that is that kirishima can’t stand monoma, so when he is with kendo kiri can’t even bring himself to talk to her no matter how much he wants to

♥ however once they start dating he can’t avoid monoma anymore so they end up being friends or at least tolerating each other for kendo’s sake

♥ kirishima sees pictures of her from the beauty pageant and can’t focus on anything else for the rest of the day

♥ their first date is in the winter of the second year when they go for a walk in the snow and end up having an admittedly overly intense snowball fight

♥ they are very talkative when they are together and never run out of things to say, it’s honestly kind of exhausting trying to hang out with them when they are together

♥ kirishima and kendo are the type of people to talk all through a movie no matter how annoying it is, they went out with todoroki and deku to see a film in the cinema and the much quieter tododeku agreed to never go with either kirishima or kendo to the cinema again

♥ when they watch a movie alone they find it equally hard to concentrate on it usually getting distracted by talking to each other or thinking of something more fun to do

♥ they are obsessed with each other’s hair, kendo always ruffles kirishima’s hair playfully when they are talking and he will pout or melt into her touch depending on his mood, kirishima loves to bury his face in kendo’s hair when he hugs her and it always makes him feel calm

♥ they’re definitely the type of couple who go to the gym together but are SUPER obnoxious about it, they take videos of each other working out and send it to their friends and take selfies together flexing in the mirror, kirishima makes them wear matching tracksuits aswell despite relentless teasing from kaminari and mina

♥ they can both lift the one another and kendo loves to surprise kirishima by lifting him up from behind while he’s talking to someone

♥ they both move around so much in their sleep that they either end up lying on top of each other or one of them ends up on the floor somehow

♥ when they are pros they always tell inside jokes and reference each other during interviews because they know the other is watching

momojirou headcanons☕️🎸

♥ they were not oblivious to the fact they liked each other but both pretended that they didn’t know for the longest time so they wouldn’t have to do anything about it

♥ once when mina was staying up late with all the girls she asked about who everyone had a crush on, momo looked over to jirou instantly and jirou was already looking at her. that’s how the rest of the girls figured it out

♥ both momo and jirou mostly vent about their feelings to tsu so everytime something happens she will get a long text from jirou and momo will pull her aside to tell the exact same story

♥ as soon as they get together tho everything is very natural and it feels like they’ve been dating for years

♥ ochaco genuinely thought they were already together and was super embarrassed when momo and jirou told everyone

♥ they make playlists for eachother and jirou is always writing songs for her

♥ although kirishima is generally the earliest up every morning both momo and jirou like to wake up as early as they can

♥ every morning momo will make tea to share with jirou and they will sit in the kitchen together talking until everyone else starts to get up

♥ in the winter months the rest of the class like going for walks in the snow but often the two girls will stay at the dorms together and cuddle on the sofa with hot chocolate instead

♥ if they do join the others they walk hand in hand and always make sure to gently fix each others scarves so they dont get cold

♥ jirou loves practicing eyeliner on momo

♥ they are always the ones arranging activities for the class like movie marathons or trips (but they always make Iida tell the rest of the class and pretend as if it were his idea)

♥ they don’t take enough photos so they rely on mina to take pictures of them together and she makes a scrapbook documenting their relationship for jiro’s birthday

♥ momo is aizawa’s favourite

♥ when momo is struggling with a topic aizawa will take after school classes with her to help her to catch up (he would do it for anyone in the class but momo is the one who comes to him the most)

♥ jirou sometimes waits outside so she can walk home with momo, mic is often there waiting for aizawa and it is quite awkward

♥ however after they have got used to seeing eachother after school mic asks jirou what she’s listening to and soon she is staying behind after every english class to tell him about a new album or song she discovered or to give him a list of recs so he can keep his music taste current

♥ aizawa is the first adult momo comes out to and they both cry

♥ momo has always been awkward around kids and she assumes jirou is too but when they meet eri she completely changes and is surprisingly good with her

♥ momo loves to sit and watch while jirou teaches eri handclaps or sings lullabies she writes and after a while she starts joining in

♥ as eri grows up she still finds herself humming jirou’s songs to her when she needs to relax

♥ jirou continues to help momo with the piano after the school festival and jirou’s love of music makes momo enjoy learning more than any expensive instructor ever had

💥✨monobaku headcanons✨💥

♥ their relationship starts off as a classic rivals to lovers, they both hate each other’s guts but secretly admire everything they do

♥ Monoma knows that Bakugo likes him and it drives Bakugo insane

♥ He will not hesitate to mention it if he catches Bakugo looking at him for a second too long or if he sees him getting flustered by his comments

♥ They are both competitive to a fault and while it’s annoying for their friends their pointless and trivial challenges actually bring them closer together.

♥ Monoma will randomly invite class A around to the dorms with a new idea of how they can compete and despite complaints from his classmates Bakugo never fails to oblige-he blames his dedication on his competitiveness but really it’s an excuse to see Monoma.

♥ It goes too far though as when Aizawa and Vlad king take them to the beach on a cold day they see who can withstand the freezing water temperatures for the longest. However neither of them will give in so Aizawa ends up dragging both parties out but not before Monoma catches a cold.

♥ As they got dried off Bakugo remarked on his blue lips Monoma snapped back joking that they should kiss to warm them up. Bakugo was uncharacteristicly taken aback and it catches Monoma off guard leaving them both to silently over think the interaction. That was when Monoma realised that he might have a crush on Bakugo.

♥ Once they get together though their rivalry is no more but they instead feel the need to compete with everyone else while working together.

♥ Bakugo is very, very touchy and physically affectionate while Monoma is very uncomfortable with it but they make it work with good communication and setting boundaries aswell as a few minor fights that end in better understanding.

♥ They both also struggle with their sense of volume control and it’s something that they do their best to remind each other of especially in formal settings such as meetings or interviews when they are pros. If Monoma taps Bakugo’s thigh under the table it usually translates to ‘I know you are right but it’s no use arguing now, you can tell me later’ and if Bakugo squeezes Monoma’s hand it means ‘you’re coming across as intimidating-relax’.

♥ They are not big into PDA- for example they’ll sit on opposite ends of an empty sofa and won’t be caught dead kissing on front of someone but they do walk arm in arm in the school hallway and occasionally Monoma has been seen by Mina kissing Bakugo’s hand-Kendo said he’d do that to anyone so it’s not a big deal but they both secretly think it’s cute.

♥ Monoma makes them take up ballroom dancing when they are older and now they are able to bust out a waltz at every high profile event they attend as pros.

♥ Bakugo loves to call him ‘blond bastard’ or ‘copy cat’ while Monoma prefers the more classic ‘darling’ or ‘honey’.

♥ They spend hours debating the outcomes of hypothetical fights between classmates, teachers or pros. Sometimes Monoma will argue for a side that would clearly lose just to piss Bakugo off as he tries to explain why his boyfriend is wrong.

♥ Monoma is scared of hates dogs and Kirishima loves them, so when they are adults Monoma is always reluctant to visit Kirishima’s house because of it. Bakugo catches on and always makes sure Kirishima knows to keep his dogs outside when Monoma is around until he becomes comfortable with them and the go on double dates with Kirishima and Mina to walk their dogs.

♥ They can never shower together because Monoma loves boiling hot showers while Bakugo only showers in the cold. However they start taking relaxing baths together after particularly long days once Monoma comes home early from a patrol to find Bakugo in their bath with bath salts and scented candles- he’d been doing it in secret because he thought Monoma would make fun of him but his boyfriend actually loves the idea and it becomes routine.

♥ Bakugo secretly tutors Monoma when preparing for tests but neither wants anyone else to know.

♥ They are both massive teacher’s pets with their respective form teachers absolutely adoring them. Vlad King in particular ships them A LOT.

👽🔪Togamina headcanons👽🔪

♥ the most chaotic girlfriends!

♥ Toga fell first but Mina fell harder. Toga has been crushing on Mina since they met when Mina and some other students were fighting her when she was still a villain. She was completely in awe of Mina’s fighting ability, how she put her all into every movement and how effortlessly she dodged with such grace. Mina had no interest in the new villain kid that joined their year and even told a few of her friends she found Toga creepy. However being sociable and loving Mina she decided after seeing Toga eating lunch alone that she would befriend the girl.

♥ after eating lunch with Toga a few times she finally gets her to open up about her struggles at UA. Toga feels out of place and worries that people won’t welcome her, she also deals with feelings of guilt and fear that she hasn’t changed every day. Mina comforts her and as she gently wipes away Toga’s tears she realises how infatuated she is with her. From then on Mina is practically in love already.

♥ Toga writes about Mina in her diary that All might recommended she maintained to help her deal with her mental health. She fills the pages with hearts and sketches of her crush, it’s a good thing no one ever found it or they would’ve known her crush immediately.(Sero and Kaminari read it, they knew).

♥ Midnight ,being a self proclaimed expert in knowing her classes crushes, will always put the two in partners for projects. Mina brings Toga around to her house one time to do a project and they have the best time eating sweets and watching horror movies.

♥ Toga hates jump scares in horror films so Mina picks ones that she has watched before so she can tell Toga when to cover her eyes. At one point she tells Toga and as she watches her cover her eyes and scrunch up her cute face Mina places a soft and quick kiss on her lips. Toga gasps and uncovers her eyes, she grabs Mina’s face and pulls her in caressing her cheeks. When it’s over they are both giggling messes and needless to say the project gets ignored.

♥ Mina loves it when Toga wears dresses every time she shows up to a date with a dress on Mina will never fail to tell her how beautiful she is and to take a million pictures of her. Toga loves it when Mina wears cropped tops because she thinks her tummy looks so cute and when Mina wears them she will always kiss her with her hands around her waist.

♥ Jirou definitely bullies both of them for their basic music taste but they couldn’t care less because Toga still gets butterflies when Mina sings along to ‘call me maybe’ and looks at her.

♥ Mina works out often but Toga doesn’t really, sometimes she will sit and watch her girlfriend train thinking how hot her muscular arms are and how strong she will be.

♥ They both give their all when it comes to prank wars. It is common in the UA dorms to try and upscale the last prank so when Monoma moves rooms around in class a’s dorms to convince people they’d had their dorm number memorised wrong Mina and Toga know they have to act. as Mina is the queen of gossip she knows of Monoma’s reciprocated crush on Kaminari which they’ve been tiptoeing around so she says that Toga should pretend to be Kaminari and try to seduce him in idiotic ways. After consensually taking a sample of Kaminari’s blood Toga serenades Monoma in the school hall singing awfully, dresses up in a wedding dress and proposes and fills Monoma’s dorm room and locker with roses. He finally has had enough and swears to never pull a prank against them again however their antics do resolve with him and Kaminari going for their first date so it’s a win-win in their books.

♥ everything they do together they put the most energy and enthusiasm into. if they go for a walk they end up exploring a forest or finding a small village in the middle of nowhere. if they go shopping they buy each other expensive gifts and outfits they think that the other would look good in. when they watch a movie they talk the whole way through and argue about what’s going to happen next. However their relationship is what they put the most energy and enthusiasm into.

Shoto and Fuyumi headcanons

Touya and Natsu have always been close. Fuyumi doesn’t have that same relationship with them as they do with eachother but she still played with them every day and after Touya’s ‘death’ Fuyumi and Natsuo only really have each other. Now as adults they have that bond that Fuyumi always envied but she always worries that Shoto might feel what she felt-perhaps he longs to have a close bond with his family as well?

So Fuyumi instantly puts in everything she can into becoming closer with her youngest brother so he doesn’t feel excluded or intimidated by her and Natsuo’s close bond.

Fuyumi loves taking photographs, ‘to capture good memories’ she says. She’s always had to cherish the few good moments she had with her family because they didn’t come often. Shoto is so unintentionally photogenic and together their photos are awe inspiring. They go on long walks together in the park for the sole purpose of taking photos- after a while they stop needing to talk one look at a pretty display of flowers or bench in the sunlight and the both know what the other is thinking. One day Fuyumi suggests Shoto should take some pictures of her instead of vice versa like usual, they go about their normal walk, they both have a great time and he seems happy with the results. However when Fuyumi scrolls back through her camera roll she finds most of them are out of focus and her head is cut out of the frame but she treasures them anyway and sets her favourite as her lock screen.

She also starts helping Shoto with his homework and revising for exams. He’s a machine at rote learning- she makes the prettiest flashcards with hero society laws and the dates they were passed and he can have them memorised the next day. Before UA written exams she goes through every flash card with him before bed to make sure he’s ready. While Shoto can learn off any information he does struggle with some essay questions or giving his opinion, it’s just not the way he was trained. Fuyumi (and Natsuo as-well when he’s not busy with his own work) will help him practice with these questions and he’s delighted to see so much improvement.

Another of Fuyumi’s hobbies they do together is cooking and baking. At first he just watches, leaning against the counter as his eyes closely follow her actions. She finds it a little intense and awkward but appreciates the effort regardless. One day he comes home from the dorms for the weekend and empties a shopping bag on the kitchen table. He shyly tells Fuyumi that he wants to make Shio Daifuku because Inko made it for him when he visited Midoriya’s. She is ecstatic and the set about making them immediately. They are so caught up that they forget about dinner so when Natsuo arrives home hungry he has to run out to get take away for the trio. It’s all worth it though because they all share the dessert and enjoy it very much.

One of their best memories together was when they came out to Rei together. Fuyumi told Natsuo ages ago but before Shoto he was the only one who knew. Shoto didn’t come out as much as told her about Midoriya until it was clear he was in love. He was really grateful to have Fuyumi to talk to him about it even if she could get a bit overexcited about her brothers’ love lives. After a while they started planning to tell Rei together, they did it when visiting her and it went really well!

sometimes when it’s just them for dinner (eg if Natsuo is studying and they have no guests over) they will eat in the living room and watch tv. They were never allowed to do that as kids so they feel a bit rebellious at first but soon it just feels habitual.

She tells Shoto all her funny stories about Touya and Natsuo so he can get to know his brothers. The first time they visit Touya in rehabilitation they actually go together because they both needed some emotional support while Natsuo wanted to talk to him alone. After however then they tend to all go together quite often.

One day Shoto finds himself telling Touya a funny story of a day he spent with Fuyumi and in that moment his face lights up because he realised he’s finally got a normal sibling relationship and he can do it again with Touya.

Hawks, Mirko and Endeavour’s complicated relationship head canons

Once they are all in the top ranks together they often see each other and get to know each other through their work like attending formal events or even photo shoots. Hawks and Mirko become super close really quickly but although they talk to Endeavour constantly like annoying nursery children he couldn’t be less interested in them. Overtime though he begins to warm up to them especially after he starts working with Hawks, Endeavour would never admit it but the two peppy, young heroes are a refreshing change to the ancient, stuck-up veteran heroes that he’s acquaintances with.

Hawks had an obvious celebrity crush on Endeavour he was relentlessly teased for it by Mirko. She brought it up around Endeavour once and Hawks died of embarrassment and apologised profusely but Endeavour just laughed, awkwardly but nevertheless, and didn’t bring it up again.

They definitely see him as a mentor and even a father figure, they always come to him for help or ask him to teach them something Endeavour used to get angry watching them because they learn so quickly and they’re so much more skilled than he was at their age but the more he sees them grow he starts to feel proud as if he’s watching his own children.

Mirko ,renowned for working alone, always calls Endeavour first when she’s struggling to beat a villain. She says it’s because he’s number 1 and she wants only the best but maybe there’s a part of her that can be more vulnerable with Endeavour and trusts him more easily than she does others.

In fact Endeavour has a bit of a soft spot for Mirko. When she got hurt fighting the high end nomus he felt extremely protective and angry alongside a tremendous sense of guilt. The whole incident reminded him of Touya and he was terrified that he would lose Mirko like he lost him.

It took a while for Endeavour to realise that he’d been living vicariously through his relationship with Hawks and Mirko. They were a more simple substitute for Natsu, Fuyumi and Shoto so he could have the relationship he now wanted with his own children without having to face his past and the repercussions of his abuse. That is until the reveal. Like with every good thing Endeavour creates his connection with Mirko and Hawks ends up broken.

As heroes they work closely with each other still, Hawks even wants to help Endeavour’s atonement and with fixing his family but there is a new distance between them all. Hawks and Mirko will never be able to see an abuser as a parental or mentor figure anymore they can’t even look up to him with the same respect or admiration. Hawks in particular puts two and two together in that he was just filling for the gaping hole that Endeavour’s lack of a stable family left in his life. Endeavour has never seen him as really part of his family and it hurts Hawks a lot because that’s all that he had wanted and he’d just ruined the family he’d been forming with the league so this realisation hurt even more.

Mirko on the other hand has a good relationship with her parents, she tries to keep Hawks close and support him but especially after losing everything (losing his wings,losing Dabi, losing his found family) he’s not in a place where he wants to risk getting too close to people again. Despite it they keep in touch and Mirko texts him every now and then to check in on him and they keep each other company at events even if now they sit in silence compared to their bubbly, gossipy chatter of before.

Years later the villains are being rehabilitated and Dabi can move back in with Rei, Natsu, Fuyumi and Shoto. He’s seen Endeavour a few times to talk things out but he definitely doesn’t want him in his life much more than that at least not for many many years. Fuyumi though and occasionally even Shoto and Natsu will show up on certain days pay Endeavour a visit and it is enough for him because he never really expected forgiveness and he never really got it. He thinks about Hawks and Mirko a lot as well because while he sees them every now and again or fights alongside them they drifted even further apart than they did when his past came out.

Hawks and Mirko become very close with the other part of the todoroki family though after all Dabi and Hawks start dating again and Rei practically adopts him. Hawks is now in a far better place and he and Mirko have worked on their friendship together and they’re inseparable. Fuyumi, Mirko and Mt lady are good friends and they go for brunch together often but rarely invite Hawks and Dabi along (though not for Hawks’ lack of asking).

After a few years of this happy life Mirko finds she’s been talking to Endeavour again. They text often and he tells her about his plans to retire and she tells him about her great life and he learns all about Dabi and his healing through her. Mirko likes to tell him the funny stories and the juicy gossip about Fuyumi’s crush on Mt lady (he’d already picked up on it from how she talks about her on their visits). Endeavour likes hearing her stories but they always feel bittersweet because although he knows he’s incredibly lucky to have any connection with his children he still regrets that he can never be a bigger part of this perfect family.

todoroki’s fear of boiling water headcanons

(but not in a joking way)

I do think that Todoroki struggles to shake his fear of boiling water. His mind may have blocked out the feelings of physical pain but he does still remember the terror he felt and the distress from afterwards. The last thing he wants is to experience that feeling again so he spends his life trying to avoid it in small ways.

He doesn’t have to cook for himself often but when he does he avoids boiling things especially when there is no-one else around. He doesn’t struggle with it as much if someone is talking to him and keeping his thoughts from wandering. Sometimes when he’s alone watching something boil he gets flashbacks or a fear it’s about to happen again despite there being no one there.

Todoroki always makes a point to buy silent kettles, the sound of a whistling kettle sends shivers down his spine. Deku has a whistling kettle and when Todoroki visits his house he gets very overwhelmed when he hears it. Deku notices and comforts him, then years later when they’re buying furniture for their apartment together he remembers it and buys the soundless one.

Momo is the one who gets him drinking tea again. She brews delicious tea but never forces him to drink it instead let’s him take his time. Her tea is so good that it can override his fear and he actually becomes really fond of tea so she shows him which ones to buy and how to make it just right. Todoroki is definitely more of a tea than a coffee person in my opinion. He even brings people cups of tea to comfort them if he sees they’re stressed especially Iida and Momo because he knows they both like it and they tend to get stressed a lot.

He’s still very cautious though when he drinks it, raising it slowly to his mouth and setting it in places where it won’t be suddenly knocked over. You would think his classmates would find it irritating that he’s always flinching or looking extremely nervous if they’re not being hyper-vigilant with their tea but they all understand and move slowly and carefully when they’re drinking it, even Bakugo who goes out of his way to tell people off if they look like they’re going to spill their tea. He disguises it as nagging so Todoroki doesn’t realise he’s the reason behind it but the small action doesn’t go unappreciated.

He gets overly worried if his friends spill their hot drinks on themselves. Once Sero did (because he’s 100% a klutz and his arms are too long for his own good) and he was honestly taken aback by how much Todoroki cared, he was fine because it had cooled down so he didn’t get hurt but he was certain that that was the first time he’d seen Todoroki look genuinely scared and was rather touched.

He always takes cold showers, even in winter if he turns the water up the slightest bit the feeling of warm water on his skin makes him completely panic. When he’s a pro and dating Bakugo and Deku they both find this out from experience and Bakugo doesn’t mind at all because he too prefers cold showers. Deku likes them too but he worries about his boyfriend catching a cold so he runs a warm bath and while Todoroki finds it impossible to get into at first eventually he works up to it and even enjoys them. Nothing extreme but progress is progress regardless of whether he’ll ever be able to shower in the warmer temperatures.

ways that hero society hurts pro heroes headcanons

does anyone wanna hear the shit i think that heroes go through and why i feel they’re victims? no? ok

firstly i headcanon hero society as having extremely fucked up beauty standards where heroes face the same sort of scrutiny for their bodies as celebrities do in our world, like if a female hero is too muscular there will be men complaining that she looks like a guy and if a male hero isn’t muscular enough he’s lazy etc

i bet you anything that it was not only the fact that media interferes with hero work that Aizawa chose to stay out of the spotlight i bet in some subconscious way he was afraid of the intense scrutiny that comes with being a hero

not only that but heteromorphic people are always chastised and rarely do well in hero ranking if they don’t appear attractive or fit within the public’s view of heroes, i’m thinking of gang orca for example who is ranked number 1 in looks the most like a villain like for someone who fights villains for a living and has probably been harmed by them first hand that’s bound to take some psychological toll. that moment always bothered me and i think it’s really unfair for heroes to be categorised like that when they’re dedicating their lives to try to be useful. you just know that people with quirks like shoji will find it harder to succeed no matter how great or compassionate a hero he is.

i know it’s common in fan fiction for Hawks to have to hide aspects of his quirk that are unappealing but let’s think about that with other heroes as well like Mirko, i imagine she’s grown up with agents and superiors telling her it’s annoying when her foot won’t stop thumping or weird how she eats carrots or Mic being told to keep it down constantly-i’m sure there are loads of heroes who are made to be ashamed of aspects of who they are and have to hide them in order to sell an image and be more profitable and likeable.

i also imagine that they’re all terrified of aging and that perpetual fear of losing their spotlight is probably a huge part of their psyche as from a young age they feel they have limited time to be successful like when hawks is talking about his prime calm tf down your life has barely started.

heroes are objectified so much by the commission being treated like weapons makes them feel like their bodies are what make them useful-just look at hawks’ reaction to losing his wings calling himself crippled and pathetic because he can’t be as efficiently used despite still being able to achieve so much with his intelligence, determination and physical skill alone. Mirko may not have the same self deprecating attitude towards her injuries however her dedication to continue fighting by whatever means she can is a testament to how heroes are taught to act with no thought for their own safety if they want to be useful. this is what makes AFO scary to the heroes, the fact they can lose their quirk and therefore their usefulness is terrifying. i like to imagine that many heroes felt or still feel about AFO as korra did about amon in s1 of lok.

furthermore heroes are expected to give their lives at the drop of a hat, mirko lives every day like it’s her last because for heroes their is no safety net or garuntee that they will survive they can’t just give up or protect themselves in the face of certain death or they literally wouldn’t be doing their job. you saw how disposable Lady nagant was to the president of the HPSC clearly they don’t have any care for the lives of even the heroes they work closest with. Mirko and Aizawa cut off their own limbs without blinking because they have to and they’ve been trained this way and it’s horrific how ready to die all of the heroes are without a second thought despite how young they are. arguably it’s admirable but if i learnt anything from she-ra it’s that they need to find a bit of self worth and need to be treated as people who’s lives and well being should be a priority rather than disposable weapons to be used with no regard to their safety.

and it’s fucking beautiful that All might chose to live, the man who has been through the most and given pretty much all there is to give. He’s given up his whole life, his bodily health, his self esteem, his friends, his image as a natural born hero and so much more just to protect people. All might was able to break the cycle of death be choosing to live rather than give his life up and Deku will break the cycle by choosing to save rather than defeat or kill.

i just think that being a hero is so exhausting and must take so much out of you, it’s important to remember how much they are victims of the system

the tragedy of Fuyumi and Endeavour’s relationship is not discussed enough

like look at her face this is literally soul crushing stuff, of all his children Fuyumi wanted and craved a family but it’s something Endeavour never had any interest in until now when it’s too late. Now they are in this painful space where they want the same thing but they know deep down that realistically neither of them can have it because they can’t turn back time and do it over right and they can’t start over now because whether they like it or not in some ways the past will never die. Fuyumi wants Endeavour to be a part of her new family but he’ll never have the same role he should have and no atonement can fix it.

it’s literally so heartbreaking like they could’ve had such an amazing relationship and i think Endeavour would’ve really benefitted from someone like Fuyumi and learnt from her compassion and her priorities. in a better au she would’ve been his favourite child for sure. her and shoto will fix their family to the best of their abilities to get a fresh start but endeavour can never have a proper place in it that he could’ve had if things had been different.

i like that the todoroki siblings have different reactions because they are different people who experienced endeavour’s abuse differently and i really think that Fuyumi is just as conflicted as the others as she’s hopeful but also feels guilty for her feelings because she too can empathise with her brothers especially with Natsu’s anger . I hope she is able to rebuild a close relationship with Rei and Dabi and even have something with Endeavour.

anyway i really need some fix it fics for the todoroki family especially for fuyumi asap.
