Here's another one I haven't read yet, but am dying to! I love Louis Sachar! You might know him as the author of "Holes", but I absolutely loved his book "Fuzzy Mud" and his short stories from the "Sideways Stories from Wayside School" series(excellent for reluctant readers!!). Aaaaanyway, enough about books that are not featured here... When I picked this book out of the clearance section I originally thought it would be about poker. To hear that it was a book, for teens, about bridge completely intrigued me! I've heard amazing things about this story, and I love a book that teaches me something new! Happy St. Patrick's Day!! Looking for some super easy crafts to do for st. Patrick's day today? So was I, because I forgot St. Patrick's day was today! The kids loved making these rainbow bracelets (you can make necklaces too)! You just need fruitloops and string or pipe cleaners. I made little shamsock name tags because I knew they would mix them up and fight...but I think they look cute!! Bonus: this can count as one of the 100,000 snacks they ask for today! 😅 We also made these paintings! Just any kid friendly paint (either green and gold/yellow or rainbow colors, or whatever you want!) and some Qtips. I cut out and taped on these 4 leaf clovers because they were meant to be a negative space painting, but we wanted to move on to something else and didn't place enough dots to have it make sense....but that's okay! I was strangely stressed out about the first read of the year. I've seen so many posts about how the first book sets the mood for the reading year.
