Look at my babies. I love them so much. Both of them fatigued almost to death. Tanjiro can barely move, so he is sitting on the shoulders of his sister - who is reduced to a six year old, also from physical and emotional fatigue. And they still trot through the ruins to find what they are looking for - to make sure it is over. I love them so much.
How Many Entertainment District Arc Episodes Are There?
The manga and anime series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc's eighth story arc features Tanjiro Kamado, his allies, Demon Slayer Corps, and Tengen Uzui Warriors engaging in a demon attack. The anime series will debut on Crunchyroll and Netflix on December 5, 2021. It emphasizes the need for power, teamwork, and sacrifice in the fight against the demon.
The traveling Ufotable "Zenshuuchuu-ten" (Total Concentration Gallery) dedicated to the Mugen Ressha and Yuukaku arcs had a few spots where you could take photos of the displays. I found it a little sparse on content compared to the Gotouge gallery (which was a bigger event in the first place and had additional Taisho Secrets) or the recent Kyoto Toei movie studio collab which had many more set pieces and scenes, but like many other events, it had walls and walls of screenshots, seiyuu voice guides (today we had Rengoku & Uzui), life-size paper cut-outs, and some 3D displays. It was pretty much a celebration of those arcs, and included a few displays showing the animation cells for very high action scenes lined up against the CG. There were a couple of rooms with highlight reels of Yuukaku-hen and Rengoku vs Akaza, split up on three large screens and with attack names added in with kanji, that was pretty cool, like Akaza's punch flying from the left screen and Rengoku dodging it at the right screen before parrying in the center screen. At the end we got a fun little Kimetsu Academy room with a scenario that they're getting ready for the cultural festival (but it seems Ufotable is still totally shying away from Stylish Scruffy Democracy), and then a wall of beautiful illustrations done by animation staff members, recreating a bunch of highlight moments.
Some of my favorite touches throughout the gallery:
1. How the "it's time to be sad about Rengoku-san again" room didn't just have nicely printed screenshots, but they were back-lit and had a nice glow, while Rengoku's reflections on his parents were playing. They were a good selection of emotional Rengoku shots, but we had Anpan-Rengoku up in the corner.
2. How in the dream sequence room there were occasional lighting and sound effects like being plunged in water.
3. The Yuukaku room had a nice design, with little peepholes in the painted screens which you'd peek into to see screenshots.
are they going to use the entertainment district arc to talk about the horrors of forced prostitution and human trafficking and how the accumulated bitterness and rage of the powerless members of society who were often betrayed by their families and sold into sex work and swallowed by the evil of oppression and power abuse with no escape is really what makes it a perfect nest for a demon, or are they just going to make it wow glamorous sparkly fun
will they talk about the whole keeping women in cages and anonymous mass graves of workers and diseases and despair and slavery under a veneer of glamour or what
if they don't then major L, especially since it still happens today
Alt Title: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc
Relesaed: 2021
After the incidents onthe Mugen Train, our Coprs members are still recovering. However, off in the entertainment district, a demon is consuming beautiful women. Uzui, the Sound Pillar, takes up the case. Finding the upper level demon will not be a simple task. They have hidden themselves deep in the entertainment districts society. It is only through under cover work that our trio will be able to find it.
