working on this was unexpectedly difficult. zzs‘s grief is so raw here (zhang zhehan plays him so well!) and that reminded me of my own grief that ive been carrying around with me without finding a way to put it down. imo i lost altogether too many loved ones in my life, i have barely digested any of it. working on this edit inspired me to sit with my own feelings but it also threw me back into a depressive hole. i was unable to look at this edit without getting nauseous, which made the revision process very hard. im glad i was done with most of the editing by that time, which is the result u see here today. its not satisfying to me but i cant look at it anymore

cryptid, you mentioned zzs‘s wish to have comforted wkx more, his regret that he didnt get to before wkx died. my original edit focuses on that, though i meant to really hammer it out in the revisions. unfortunately i didnt make it that far but i hope it still ends up inspiring you! <3

a quick edit feat. wenzhou‘s early days when they‘ve just met and wen kexing is still very unsettling, acting like he is campaigning for zhou zishu‘s heart despite Having A Non-Gay Agenda Too. i mean, it did work out in the end!!! basically, a brief glance at wenzhou‘s story and at what they end up meaning to each other despite everything, without any context whatsoever

lyric videos are my greatest weakness. i dont have enough brain power to devote myself to them in the way i feel they deserve. my approach to this silly edit was, thus, to match the overall theme rather than every single line. i like how uncanny the song is if u think abt it for a bit, yet at the same time it describes this very human desire to own and possess, to surrender yourself to smth, to be consumed in turn. ofc i had to match wenzhou‘s early days to it, juxtapositioned to where they are later after they have developed a foundation of trust and zhou zishu very seriously considers staying by wen kexing‘s side for the rest of his (short) life. its not perfect at all, but i still really like it how it came out, i enjoyed the process which is my main concern, and i think its fun to watch <3
