I love drawing Xie Lian in modern day clothes. I took inspiration from all the cute Xie Lian doll pictures on Twitter. How I haven’t bought one yet is by sheer self control.

Also I’m working on a fanfic with Xie Lian in an outfit like this where he is a florist. The flowers he is holding are tulips, carnations, peonies, crocuses, roses, butterfly lily, and lilac. I have done extensive search on all of these flowers and they revolve or mean love in the flower world. The flower in his hair is a cape jasmine which is what I think is the white flower HC offered XL in the books.
