My thing is that I just do not trust a single person who was involved in the show. It just seems like a lot of PR to fix their image and foster sympathy/goodwill/interest.
#i haven't seen compelling evidence that anybody actually tried to fight for canon (and reciprocated) destiel#just admissions that they played into the subtext#(which we already knew - that's why spn's been considered a prime example of queerbaiting since like 2011)#and non-committal statements about the pairing being compelling#edlund seemed to specifically say he wasn't censored/forced to rework due to the gay#yeah misha said the cw's homophobic and suggested the network was the barrier#but at least half of what comes out of misha's mouth is bullshit#like he also said they tried to pay him to stay bisexual#and as a result there's now a bunch of support being tossed out to the writers and some fans are talking about them like they're heroes#who valliantly fought against a homophobic network and were totally going to make dean and cas a couple#but were foiled by said network which is why the show ended with the gays being buried yet again#you see in the secret unreleased version...#and if we just let jensen make another season he won't let us down because of xyz vague statements#nevermind that he made a new show where cas was also never mentioned - cw censorship#nevermind the straightwashed version of soldier boy he's playing - that's kripke's fault#nevermind the statements he's made in the past about destiel and dean's sexuality - he's changed his mind#you can tell because he's said it's okay for fans to have their own interpretations about the series#idk maybe i'm too cynical and i'm being unfair#there's just too much vagueness from pretty much everybody for me to put faith in their intentions#especially if they are seriously considering attempting to revive the series - this sort of thing is great for drumming up interest#the writers being censored by homophobic execs is a familiar narrative ofc - but i don't see anything solid to suggest this is what happened#and it's not like there weren't queer relationships on tv when spn was airing - the show ended in 2020#it isn't even like there weren't queer relationships shown on the cw during spn's run - there were more than a few#i just have so many questions#spn#destiel

Okay in all seriousness. There's something that I REALLY want to talk about as an open discussion with the fandom, but. This is not going to be a very nice thing to hear/talk about.
It's about how Gonta is treated by the fandom.
As a fan of all the V3 characters now, and as someone who has always been a fan of Gonta, and as someone who has many mental disabilities and two diagnosed neurodivergancies... I'm tired of playing nice about it.
You all need to stop being ableist towards Gonta.
I've mentioned in the past that I don't like shitting on personal interpretations. I don't like saying something is or is not canon because narration is just a big web of text that you try to decipher with your own personal biases, experiences, and thoughts. That's why two literary analysts analyzing the same text with the same literary criticism rules can come to wildly different conclusions--why people develop different headcanons from the same canonical information.
But one of the things that challenged my integrity is just how many people view Gonta as this innocent, naive, ignorant, baby boy who can do no harm/never has a complicated/dirty/violent/sexual thought in his life ever.
This incredibly ableist interpretation of the character bothered me for, well, obvious reasons (See: It's fucking ableist, need I say more?) but I never challenged it as harshly as I am now because to be frank, it's not my place to tell people how to HC a character. It still isn't. But I've pretty much given up on my integrity on the subject and have decided to go all in on discussing why this interpretation of Gonta is just. Really bad.
First of all, not to promote my own analyses here or anything, but I think this analysis I did of Gonta explains a LOT in regards to the ableism the cast gives him in canon. I also think that this subtle ableism is why the fandom is so bad with Gonta's characterization in headcanons and fanfic--because they've seen how the cast treats him, and they think it's normal. They don't see the microaggressions, they don't see the subtle ableism in the cast--they just see this big giant idiot who speaks like Tarzan in the English version (which... I don't actually know why people assume Tarzan (Thinking of Disney's version) is stupid. Like as a boy he had to reinvent the spear with no one to guide him on how to do it. He was able to strategize and outsmart "civilized" men in the final showdown. Still I digress) and don't see the literal genius behind his social awkwardness.
There is also another very important point I'm going to make in addition to this, and it's going to be very uncomfortable to Gonta fans who insist he's nothing but a sweet baby who only has pure thoughts. Especially to the fans who insist he "can't be sexual" or think it's weird to ship him with his peers.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but... Gonta blatantly has sexual desire and gets horny right in canon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is further clarified here:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It wasn't a matter of Gonta didn't want to touch her because touching someone in their underwear was inappropriate, or being flustered because she was in her underwear which is inappropriate...
It was literally a "weird feeling" that made him unable to approach her or touch her. A "weird feeling" that Miu makes pretty obvious as to what it was--sexual arousal.
He literally was sexually attracted to and felt sexual arousal from looking at Miu in her underwear. He had sexual feelings and thoughts about Miu. Why?
Because Gonta is a young man.
Gonta is a brilliant, talented young man who has normal human thoughts for someone his age--sexual desires, upsetting thoughts, complicated thoughts, ectect. He is not a child, he is not mentally stunted (I've been informed that people have literally said this on Ao3 for the NSFW Gonta fics, please for the love of god stop that)
I think the reason why Gonta fans typically want to keep him as a "pure baby child who can do no wrong" is because treating him like the young adult that he is makes it harder for them to justify Chapter 4. Every time I've seen a Gonta fan that hates Kokichi, it's always followed by the sentiment of "Kokichi manipulated and abused Gonta into killing Miu, so it's all Kokichi's fault." They're afraid of nuance and liking a character with the grey morality of genuinely thinking Mercy Killing the cast is a viable option, because it challenges their own morals about the character they adore.
To those people who read this and are upset: You can and should like Gonta! Gonta is a magnificent character who showcases the subtle way microaggressions can manifest and hurt people, he's a good-hearted person and a literal genius, he cares deeply for his friends and loves everyone with upmost sincerity.
But.
You need to re-evaluate your stance on Gonta if you think he's a stupid, naive fool who Kokichi manipulated. You need to re-evaluate why you think those thoughts, why you think Gonta being shipped with anyone is "Kinda weird" or "has weird consent problems" or "give you the ick." You have to challenge yourself and ask yourself uncomfortable questions in regards to why you treat Gonta like a child when canon has proven otherwise, why you think he cannot have violent or sexual thoughts, why he can't think mercy killing his class is the only way to save them.
This isn't an attack on you--but understand that these specific takes on Gonta? They are ableist in nature. They belittle and dismiss him, they treat him like a child, an idiot who can't think for himself--and you have to come to terms with the fact that Gonta is a far more complex character with complicated thoughts and feelings who is a young adult. Not a child. A young adult.
So again, ask yourself this: Why are you treating this young adult like he's a toddler?

Let me make this even clearer. Because Jensen and Misha both deserve better.
Given that we know they talk a lot about Destiel among themselves. They have told us, repeatedly. They've shared each other's perspectives with each other. They have an understanding.
Early misunderstandings and conflicts in pov aside (and do people want to keep circle jerking as if it's still 2014? Okay then. Have at it, but time moved on and you didn't): Jensen doesn't speak over Misha. Misha doesn't speak over Jensen.
Some things Misha has said about Dean or Destiel has resulted in Jensen stans attacking him. They always have some excuse--this past weekend it was because Misha acknowledged the idea of Dean and Cas having sex.
In the past, another example, backlash came at Misha for saying Cas saw love and acceptance in Dean's eyes.
(Which...sure does seem like the pearl-clutching about Misha's CR8 comments being too ribald is fake virtue signaling doesn't it, since even a statement from Misha wide open to platonic or romantic reading, that is 100% true about Dean, and how loving he is, how loving we know Dean is, how much we know Dean is going to accept and love Cas either way, got hatred aimed at Misha as if he had said something heinous. Tells me all I need to know about certain stans).
While Jensen's "Cas is an angel therefore his love is cosmic and unknowable impossible for humans to grasp let's not define it" and "open to interpretation" middleground to appease both sides and treading carefully for reasons, on a topic that's napalm in fandom (it shouldn't be, but that's the reality), might be construed as speaking over Misha.
But here's the thing!!! It's not!! From either of them!!
It seems very obvious by now that they decided Misha would be the loud one, with Jensen holding his cape, even if he doesn't join in , and Jensen walking a diplomatic middle line, also with Misha's understanding and support in turn.
When Misha goes off boldly about Destiel? People need to kick out that hate fantasy about Jensen being disrespected and Jensen must be wanting to punch Misha and Jensen must be so mad at Misha how dare Misha out of their heads, or get to the point where they can comprehend the difference between their own feelings vs Jensen's and quit projecting.
They didn't shut each other out. They talked about Destiel. They listened to each other. Highly likely, in fact, that they helped each develop or refine their talking points.
Neither of them has been shooting off their mouth about the other's character without having spoken to each other.
I don't have any hope for fans to stop the endless fighting and concern trolling and attacking either Jensen or Misha over it, needlessly, perpetually, but when it comes to Jensen and Misha...that's a hopeful space.
Misha's bluntness vs Jensen's carefully chosen middleground words complement each other are not in fact oppositional takes--they complement each other, there's room for both. They both know it's a mutually loving relationship.
Neither is trampling on the other's pov, and any views that don't perfectly align, they've already discussed and they respect each other.
These accusations at either of them are not true, they are not fair, and they both deserve better.
And now I'm staring right at a recent thing where Misha full on absolved Jensen of an accusation that various lanes kept throwing at him, and still weaponize, including Jensen stans who claim to be defending Jensen, because they want it to be true.
The response was manufactured drama where people called Misha a liar and doubling down.
They'd rather Jensen take the fall and they'd rather call Misha a liar than believe a soulless corporation that has been caught more than once exercising queer censorship could have committed queer censorship in a TV industry where it's common knowledge that queer censorship by broadcast TV networks happen???????
Wow gee can you feel the love in this Chili's. Great going. Excellent defense strategy. You're really such a big help. With fans like these, Jensen and Misha don't need antis.
A lot of it is agenda driven, and some anxiety driven, every lane's worried about other lanes react, because spn fandom is always a pain in the neck that way. Some people hate Destiel so much they need Jensen to be their antidestiel warrior they'll throw Jensen under a bus and stan for the corporation, or they're so anxious about how Destiel gets treated they blame Jensen and forever hold against him his past foot in mouth about the ship (which was a long time ago. Please stop punishing him endlessly when he's moved on and his perspectives are respectful, yet you're still stuck back there) rather than comprehending the actual systemic factors.
Jensen and Misha are both doing what they can to make it better.
They are trying to fix it!!!
People should show them more respect!!!!

she thought he was all hers. she was wrong. but revenge is always sweet, and a little melted.
warnings | 18+ smut, serious angst, Joel is a cheater in this one and gets what he deserves (within reason)
a/n | i don't have an explanation for this one, it just sorta happened, sorry about it.
...............................
Her hands are shaking all over the steering wheel, enough to force her into pulling off the highway before the tears can fracture her vision anymore. And all she can do is laugh, a bitter thing in her throat, because she’s turned into a complete cliche now. Idling on the shoulder of the road while the texas sun splits and sinks in the sky, crying like a fool over a man she shouldn’t have given the time of day to.
But he had been so sweet, hadn’t he? A bit hopeless when they met, standing in the frozen food aisle, pinching the bridge of his nose with one hand and cradling a cellphone to his ear with the other. She had made an offhanded comment that he seemed to be negotiating a hostage crisis when he hung up, a sheepish smile slanting across his face and a surprisingly earnest explanation that his twelve-year-old daughter had just gotten her first period and he had been screamed out the door for provisions.
“Don’t tell her I told you that though. Pretty sure she’d burst my eardrums for letting that slip.”
“Your secret’s safe with me. But could you use some help maybe?”
“I look that pitiful, huh?”
“Maybe just a little.”
She was gone from the start, helping him pick out Ben and Jerry's and tampax pearls while he rambled about his daughter. Her smile spreading in sync with the flush creeping up his neck, typing her number into his phone while he leaned against the side of his truck, a nervous palm rubbing the back of his neck. He called her that night, cute and eager, wanting to thank her for the help, and to ask her out. And of course she said yes. Afterall, she had checked for a wedding ring. She thought she had been so clever for that.
Three months, spring sliding into summer and something she thought was love slipping big and bright between her ribs. She got to know his daughter during weeknight dinners on their back porch, inside jokes zinging right over his head. And while Sarah was at her mom’s every weekend, Joel would invite her over and they’d spend the hours tangled up in his bed, bodies sticky and slick with sweat blown cool by the box fan in his window, talking in circles around each other, promises stamped into skin.
“Don’t worry about it, darlin. We’re as good as divorced. She’s just dragging her feet signing the papers, that’s all. Haven’t lived together since Sarah was real little. I’m all yours.”
“It’s okay, Joel, I understand. It must be so hard, though, having to do all of this on your own, in a way.”
She scoffs at the sting of that memory, the way his palm had been trailing up and down her spine, the sigh he had let out at her words. She had interpreted it as a soulful weariness that only made her love him a little more. But there were warning signs too.
“Hey, darlin, I’m really sorry but I have to cancel tonight.” She was already pulling into his neighborhood when he called, new dress, the perfume he liked so much, a tray of brownies in the passenger seat, sprinkled with powdered sugar, how she knew Sarah liked them.
“Oh, is everything okay?”
“Yeah, I think Sarah picked up a stomach bug at camp today is all.”
“Oh no, can I get you guys anything from the store? Soup? Ginger ale?”
“That’s real sweet of you, darlin, but I don’t want you to catch anything. Can we take a raincheck though?” What a good father, what a good man.
“Of course, Joel. Tell Sarah I hope she starts feeling better soon.” He had already hung up, quick and clipped. And when she drove past his house only a moment later, she could have sworn she saw Sarah in their backyard swinging on that old playset of hers. It had been easy enough to write off as a trick of the light and her eyes tired after a day of work. Though she couldn’t figure out whose car had been parked in his driveway, not his and not his brother’s. But he made good on his raincheck that Friday, showing up at her apartment in that button-down she liked so much and a bouquet in his hand, not letting her get a word in before he was pulling her into a hard kiss that made her forget to even ask if Sarah was feeling better. He was always good at that, pulling her apart, just a little overwhelming in the wander of his hands, his mouth, laying her down right on the floor of her tiny living room after kicking her front door shut.
“Missed you so bad. Been thinking about you all week. Thinking about this pussy. How sweet she gets for me. Just for me, huh?” Already mouthing at her clit through the cotton of her panties, his words thrumming up her spine, making her hips jolt in the heavy hold of his palms.
“Yes, Joel, it’s all for you, fuck, you’re so good.” So, so, so good, stripping her down and settling back between her thighs, tongue dragging through her cunt, a hum in his throat as he held the insistent heat of his mouth against her core, pulling pleasure from her like he owned it. The ropes of muscle in his forearm jumping, holding her down by her pelvis, not letting up until she was shaking with it, his scruff scraping against the inside of her thigh, a small mercy in the kiss he pressed there.
“Are we seriously about to fuck on the floor?”
“What’s wrong with the floor?”
“Joel.” Total theatrics with the roll of his eyes, a petulant huff as he got up, dragging her along with him. a fumbling tangle into her bedroom, making her laugh with his feigned meanness in throwing them down onto the sheets, wide eyes and breathless beats.
“That better, darlin?” No answer, too busy tugging him out of his clothes, his cock solid and warm against her thigh. Always a stretch, pleasure mingling and mixing up with pain with the press of his hips against hers. Always careful, considerate, pressing kisses to her sternum while she opened up around him, whispering into her skin.
“Feel so good for me, darlin. Like you were made just for me.” She felt like it too, like she’d never had anything like this before. The obscene slap of slicked skin, swallowing each other’s gasps as he pushed and pulled them through a hard rhythm. Her ankles hooked around his hips, open, wanting, receiving everything he gave her, the both of them sinking their teeth into each other’s pleasure, furling up close and unraveling all at once with each other’s names held in their throats. She had told him she loved him that night, in the after of it all, her chest pressed to his back, limbs tangled up. But he didn’t respond, already asleep.
Her cell phone ringing startles her out of the past, but when she sees who it is she tosses it back into the passenger seat. And her mind settles into something like disbelief, replaying the day. How differently it began compared to how it ended.
She woke up that morning with anticipation thick in her stomach for what the day ahead would bring. She thought it was a big step, the step, inviting her to a family cookout. Playing house with the Millers. Sarah and her in the kitchen most of the morning, crockpots bubbling and watermelons split while he and his brother putzed around in the backyard with the grill, some frivolous joke about men regressing to the stone age lobbed out easy and effortless. And then people started coming, coworkers and friends and all the rest and Joel wouldn’t look at her and she wore her new sundress so he would but he wouldn’t. He wouldn’t and she worried over the potato salad and the kebabs like maybe she could make right whatever she had clearly made wrong. Something about a man’s heart in his stomach, right?
Everyone else eating and she couldn’t find him in the crowd, Tommy telling her he ran out to get ice cream from the HEB for dessert just as she slipped in the front door. She nearly laughed because why was she here? Who invites their ex-wife to a family cookout?
And then, and then, and then.
“You must be the babysitter Joel mentioned. I admit I thought Sarah was a little too old for that but she absolutely loves you so thank you for helping out.”
And then, and then, and then.
“Hi, Tommy! It’s good to see you.”
And then, and then, and then.
“Oh, he didn’t tell you? We’ve decided to make another go of it after some time off. We haven’t told Sarah yet, but I think it will be good for all of us.”
And then.
“-- a family again. It’s right, don’t you think?”
And then.
“Sorry, what did you say your name was? I hope Joel is paying you well, and if he’s not, you come to me, okay? There’s gonna be some changes around here, but I’d love for you to stay on for our Sarah.”
And then.
Out the door, white noise in her ears so loud she only barely thought to grab her keys and shuffle into her flip flops. Out the door and into her car and driving to the same HEB she met him in three months ago being a good father and a good man and a little hopeless and–
She pulled in right as he was walking out of the store, a placid expression on his face, not a care in the world.
“Darlin? What–”
“Do not call me that.”
“What, what is it? Baby, please don’t cry.” A sick feeling in her stomach at the pull toward him, that tiny want for him to comfort her, to make it all better, quickly seared and singed into more anger.
“Were you gonna tell me, Joel? Or were you just gonna see how long you could keep this little game going, huh? Is that it? You think you’re so smart? Not gonna get caught fucking the babysitter?” Instant recognition sliding down his face, the quick slip of it made her laugh as his eyes darted around the parking lot.
“Let’s talk like adults, okay? There’s no need to make a scene.”
“Oh, fuck you. That’s what you're worried about though, right? That someone’s gonna see. Worried someone’s gonna go tell your wife what you’ve been up to all summer, huh?” His jaw slack, an answer in his silence. She shook her head, anger simmering beneath the hurt.
“Did you care about me at all?”
“Of course I did, I do. Darlin, please, I just got confused, let me–”
“Don’t do that.”
“Please, I’ll–”
“No, Joel. We are done, do you understand me? I care about Sarah too much to let any of this go on any longer. You know what? I just hope that your wife has a good enough head to figure it out for herself. I hope she leaves you, I really do.” Hurt crumpled across his face and she wanted more of it, wanted to dig her thumb into it and twist.
“I– loved– you– you– fucking– lying– lowlife– bastard.” She’s not sure how it happened, though it would be the topic of conversation at the neighborhood women’s book club for weeks to come. Some young thing tearing into Joel Miller, smacking him six ways to Sunday with her flip flop in the grocery store parking lot. Cornering him against the side of his pickup truck, big strong man curled up with his hands over his head as she rained down perfect hellfire on him. He had dropped his grocery bag, two gallon containers of ice cream sweating out in the summer sun, her bare foot stepping sticky into a puddle of vanilla.
“Don’t you ever do anything like this to anyone ever again, Joel Miller.” The grand finale, that ice cream of his melted enough that it was too easy to pick up a carton, pop off the lid, and dump the dribbling liquid over the top of his head before primly shoving her flip flop back on and getting in her car.
She finds herself laughing through a throat heavy with snot, the image of him in her mind, blinking hard through a thick stream of slurried ice cream, shoulders up to his ears, pure shock in his shudder.
“Worth it.” One thing that goes right today, she leans over to rummage through her glove compartment, sighing when she finds the nearly empty carton of cigarettes, lighter tucked into the crumpled box. She quit two months ago, secondhand smoke around Sarah and all that. But how easy it is now to roll down her window and take a crackling drag that she blows out into the fading afternoon, smoke whipped away by the endless whir of cars passing by. Peace in the inhale and exhale, promptly disrupted by her phone ringing again. Cigarette dangling between her lips, she scoffs between her teeth. Ten missed calls. She doesn’t even listen to the voicemails, simply chucks the thing out her window along with her cigarette butt and shifts her car back into drive.
She’ll be okay.

Wanted to introduce you to a minor stolitz rewrite or I guess, interpretation? I came up with that has a blitzfizz angle if you squint, because I think you might like it.
Some time ago there was a deep and vulnerable moment which is rare from Brandon Rogers, when he was being interviewed by Anthony Padilla, he talked about being assaulted by a beating, and then getting up on stage for standup minutes after. But the audience never noticed. He said when performing for audiences it brings him a sense of fulfilment to know that during the few minutes or hours of that show he gets to forget about his pain, and the audience gets to have fun and enjoy the show and forget about theirs. Those moments of escapism were precious, and I wrote that for Blitzø, this was the extent of his affection for stolas. He’s basically an audience member, a loyal fan. This is why when stolas wants real devoted personal love, it ruins it for Blitzø because it feels like a fan who got a backstage pass once, and maybe even an autograph or handshake, but for some reason thinks this makes them real friends/lovers. And he keeps coming backstage without a pass, and doesn’t understand why security stops him, he even shows up to his house after the show ends. With no idea what he’s done wrong when cops turn up (this type of thing happens all the time to lonely people with mental illness, and is the type of moral complexity I think would suit stolas, someone who is dangerous but still sympathetic) And blitzo feels so much guilt and pity at this lonely, socially inept person, and not to mention feels the flattery of having a fan for once, he finds it hard to get really mean about it. But when stolas gets angry he feels genuine fear and does whatever he can to appease him. Which terrifyingly, is interpreted as reciprocation.
For “One Night Only” like his circus poster in his office suggests, they both got to escape and pretend-to be this powerful, seductive sexual being bringing amazement to a Prince who in turn, gets to pretend his true love has arrived to save him. But just like the circus episode, stolas got too obsessive with a parasocial attachment. He wanted to take Blitzø home, to keep him in his bedroom, to take out and play with whenever he needed. Forever. For Blitzø it was like encore after encore, a show that doesn’t end. And he just wants to go home to his partner, the other kid waiting for him at the circus to play horsies again, and the only other imp in the world who truly understands how it feels to be used as a toy (hell, he was turned into one!!)
And I think like the sex toys running out (if I can try to turn even that into a metaphor) he has exhausted all of his tricks and doesn’t have any more material for stolas. But the show must go on, he thinks, that is until stolas finally sees the cracks in him, and against his own wishes for this to be his soulmate, his attraction to Blitzø starts to die. Because it was artificial from the start. And he doesn’t like the real person as much as he thought. They’re just deeply incompatible. Which breaks both of their hearts, for very different reasons.
When stolas asks him why he ever gave him a night at all or showed kindness to him, someone who now has nobody, Blitzø says nothing and just calmly looks at the photo of stolas smiling holding Octavia, then looks back to stolas. As if silently telling him he knows he’s not a complete monster, that it’s not all over, he is capable of finding real connections with others, he has his daughter. His real ‘hero’ and light in the dark. And knowing how much this relationship has hurt and traumatised Octavia, its the nail in the coffin. There is hope for stolas, but not for this relationship.
In the end he gives him back the book, thanks him for their time together, and for loving him, even when stolas is protesting (kinda like Diane to Bojack) his final action to him is a bow, his last words to stolas before leaving his life forever are “You will be okay”
Goddamn, Anon...you owe me a box of kleenex for this one.
Thank you for this. It's gorgeous and perfect and I wish with all my heart that it were canon.

I'm going rude here, so i sorry first. the reason i don't have empathy to Salyra it because when she beg Ahlf to stay with her. She don't care about Ahlf's or MC safety at all and she just want her 'PERFECT' family to still be with her that make me upset and creep me out a little bit. And when i read letter she send to Ahlf beg him to come back it didn't make me feel sad but i feel like she was creepy ex-wife who can't deal with her own issue and when she use MC to bring Ahlf back, Oh god.....that was fucking creepy i want to throw up when i read every letters she send to Ahlf everytime.
Anyway sorry about my lack of manner, it was my feel after i read side story for a long. i just sick for what she doing.
I hope Salyra not going to try get rid of Prince Irus if MC was courting with him
My MC didn't protective to Prince Irus much (i mean she like to protect anyone yes but she don't going to overbearing man that she courting) My MC still forgive Salyra for what Salyra done to her but if Salyra going mess with MC's companions (Prince Irus too) i'm sure My MC going to said some line like 'i believe anyone can redemption but i see what you do to him(Prince Irus) you lost all respect from me, you lost all trust from me too....' to her. I wonder will Salyra still don't get a damn again? also will she angry at Prince Irus because she feel like Prince Irus going to take her daughter(MC) from her?
Sorry about curse and rude word, i hope you doing okay.
You're really not being rude 😋 I don't mind if people aren't fans of the characters I've written - especially characters like Salyra 😅
Feel free to doubt the sincerity of her letters. There's no right way to interpret what she sent to Ahlf - whether it was manipulation, desperation or because she actually missed him. It's up to you and how you view Ahlf's response to her letters and the way he kept the letters a secret from the MC to help you make up your mind.
Salyra can't get rid of Irus because she's not going to risk going against Lamahu (she's made too many mistakes that another one might be the last straw) and also because Irus is the only person who could reasonably hold some sway in Cyre to stop other nobles from continuing what Erlan and Virion have started.
You will get a nice range of mean options because I do love angst so you can tell her off properly during those scenes 😂 And yes, Salyra will view Irus as the person trying to steal the MC away from her, regardless if the MC wasn't her child for many years and made it very clear that they want nothing to do with her.
I'm doing as well as I can be, thanks ❤️️

Julie Power, Queer Relationships and OTPs
Hey, two provisos before I jump into what I’m about to say:
1) My last name is not Marvel and I don’t own these characters. Before and after I write them, other people will write and/or have written them. Most of them. That’s what success in corporate comics looks like in this day and age - not that you get to write a character/group of characters forever but that other creators remember they exist and include them in new stories and they get to have a long happy life. That said, characters change and the valid interpretation is the one that leads to more stories. You, as a fan, are also interpreted to love whatever version of the character you like as long as you don’t hassle creators about it.
2) As always, I am not the perfect person to write this mini-essay, I’m just the one writing the comic and therefore the one that can explain the thoughts and feelings that went into making the decisions I did.
We good? Okay. Let’s continue!
Being gay, lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, asexual or wherever else a person falls in a spectrum does not make a person more or less than human. It does not make every relationship perfect. In fact, having a sexuality for which there isn’t quite as many years of literature and self-help books often leads to complications that you don’t know how to navigate. It is a rarely acknowledged but pretty obvious fact that this would go double or more for people who were also dealing with the complications of being a superhero in the modern era. A lot of those people have experiences with multiple apocalypse scenarios, a knowledge that there are parallel universes in which pareallel versions of them exist (like a version of me who types parallel the same way twice in a row, one can dream), mind control, reality manipulation, and time travel. Their life is complicated and relationships are difficult in a world where few of those things are commonplace.
In talking about Schitt’s Creek, Glen Weldon expressed a frustration and distaste for the central gay relationship in that show, not because it wasn’t cute and precocious but because it wasn’t realistic. You have a person who has been dating around and having several unresolved and unsatisfying queer relationships paired up with a freshly out, just admitted he’s gay, never dated another man love interest. It’s sweet. It also gives an unrealistic portrait of what life is like for a queer person. It’s hard to argue with people loving that relationship, but it’s impossible to argue with Glenn’s point. Dating is complicated and difficult. Adding queerness to that only makes it more complicated, not less. We often don’t know what we want or need and it’s more difficult to understand what you want and need with less context. Straight people have been struggling with telling their partners what they want and need even as their relationship has been a necessity of human species survival.
But we tend to push the idea of an OTP or “one true pairing” onto queer couples for a variety of reasons, but mainly two:
1) There are so few queer relationships in media that when one happens, queer audiences tend to hold onto it tightly in the worry that there will never be another one like it.
2) The idea that all or most queer relationships are the result of an undeniable love between two halves of the same whole reunited at last and it would be horrible to part them, makes queer relationships more palatable to straight audiences who are still growing in their understanding of the difference between same sex sexual attraction, same sex romance, and same sex fucking.
The end result is a pretty warped understanding of queer people and same sex relationships.
All of this is sort of preamble to say that in this week’s issue of Love Unlimited, I broke up a romantic pairing off panel that I created in Future Foundation a few years ago. In the last issue of Future Foundation, I had Rikki Barnes and Julie Power kiss. They had just been through an extremely dangerous prison break during which they had both almost died and saved one another’s lives. The moment was absolutely ripe for two Sapphic people to get swept up in the moment and intensely make out. It was a relationship I would like to have explored more, especially as they are two characters I care very deeply about. I think it would have been fun. I also do not think it would have worked out long term. Most relationships don’t and they are very different people.
I saw a post somebody made earlier today on tumblr about how Julie Power throws herself at every queer and available white girl in the Marvel Universe. There’s only one part of that I would prefer to not be true and that’s the white part. It is true about the comics as they have come out, but I don’t see Julie as the kind of person who wouldn’t fall in love with a person of color. In fact, to the point of that post, I see Julie as a person who is open to connection and cares a great deal about physical affection. She’s a hugger. She’s constantly taking people under her wing. She falls for people hard and loves hard. Not to get too intimate with it, but she’s probably a person who enjoys sex and physical contact and affection. Those things aren’t important to everyone or meaningful in the same way to everyone, but they are to some people.
But also, that doesn’t mean that every relationship those people enter into has to be THE ONE. We all enjoy our own OTPs and a lot of us have that same investment in people we know in real life. God knows, I have had that investment in queer friends that found love and there are people that have had that same investment in my wife and I because we’re a mixed race couple. Those facts about a relationship don’t make it work out without the same sort of effort, love, affection, and sheer luck as any other successful relationship. I think ascribing that same sort of mythological status to every same sex relationship is ultimately short sighted and harmful.
Julie’s way of finding love, like a lot of us, is to throw herself headfirst into relationships, love hard, experiences extraordinary moments, and get hurt when things don’t work out. She, literally, has a heroic impulse toward relationships. Is that healthy, maybe not. But hey, I kind of admire it.
So yeah, I broke up a relationship off panel that barely had a chance to exist on panel because that’s the way I see it going. On the bright side, she’s in another relationship now and we’ll see how that goes.
If there’s a thing I guess I want people to take away from this, it’s that it’s okay for your relationship not to work out and that you shouldn’t treat your queer friends like they’re characters in a Shakespeare play that have to love each other unconditionally and die together in a crypt if things don’t work out.

Okay so I like really like your writing style and I would like to make a request!!
Can we see the boys with a reader that had drastic changes in temperature really easily? Like one second they’re burning alive and then the next their bundled in blankets.
Thank you in advance if you write this!!!
-👻
As someone who lives in a place where it's winter literally 7-8 whole months, I totally do not get this *cue awkward smile*. So most of the stuff written here is geared towards winter.
I split this into parts because I felt there can be both platonic and romantic reactions to this.
The Turtles with a Temperature Vulnerable MC
(There isn't much of a difference between romantic and platonic for Mikey + Raph. It's more for Leo and D'Nello)
Raph
- Platonic
Sorry guys I have to go back to his trauma again.
He worries a lot. It's obvious considering his Eldest Child Syndrome™
So much so that he carries around a bag filled with jackets/layers, ice packs, fans: and all that stuff when you guys leave either of your homes.
He tries to keep the temperature indoors as mild as possible, but it can get hard during the summer and winter months (winter especially 'cuz he's a reptile).
Will ask if you want hugs whenever you're cold. He may be a reptile, but I think he retains some warm-blooded traits from Splinter.
Learns how drinks are a great way to regulate temperature and asks Mikey to teach him how to make delicious beverages.
During winter he doesn't let you out until you have a coat and a light jacket on (trust me you get hot in winter coats really fucking easy).
"Nope. Not letting you out until you have them layers on."
Worried parent 1000%
- Romantic
Not too different from platonic, just more prone to be touchy.
Holds your hand(s) and cuddles if you if you're cold. And also because he's a cuddlebug.
He gets really pouty if you have to separate because you're too hot.
"If I were to cover myself in ice packs will you cuddle me?"
Leo
- Platonic
He will laugh whenever you have to change your surroundings/position because of temperature issues.
He might try to piss you off by stealing all the blankets or turning the heater/cooler to insane settings.
"Um, excuse me, I need all of these."
If he feels nice, on some days he'll hand you the things you need directly; might even teleport steal extra machinery for you.
Honestly, I think he would relate to your problem, but be the biggest drama queen about it. Like complaining extremely loudly.
Flaunts the number of blankets he has.
- Romantic
Is less snarky, but can be a little bug sometimes.
I think if we're speaking in a romantic sense he's more likely to expose his true feelings/intentions. I know it's not explicitly stated within the canon series/movie but based on my own interpretation I think he doesn't like exposing his feelings unless he really trusts that person.
So he'll express worry in a more intimate way.
He won't be all mama bear like Raph but does show some concern. He'll ask if you're alright and if you need he'll bring it right to you.
As I said before I do think he has a similar problem so he'll suggest you guys share a blanket or something to conserve as much heat.
"As soon as you get out I'm not letting you back in. This is my heat reserve."
Othello Von Ryan
- Platonic
Out of the three has the best assistance for temperature regulation.
He can easily construct a device that changes surrounding heat based on blood and heartbeat regulation.
He's iffy when it comes to helping you out that isn't biology or just in general science related. It's not that he doesn't understand it, he finds it inefficient that's all.
"Why waste time doing things that could maybe help when you know that the studies of science are more credible?"
No touch. Maybe robot arms with heating, but no actual touchy.
It's hot? Don't worry he got his beautiful ice maker in his battle shell.
He does not stand for complaining. Just tell him you're uncomfortable and he can fix it.
- Romantic
In a romantic sense, I think he's more likely to try to help in a non-scientific way. Again, it's not his preferred method but it can also be a data-collecting experience for him.
He'll ask more questions, trying to understand your individual biology.
"Is there a certain time interval when you feel you're personal comfort change?"
He really doesn't like it but if you need it very badly then he might give you a stiff hug or two. Awkward back pat gang
If you spend time in the lab with him then he'll make sure the environment is to your liking.
Asks Sheldon to watch over you if he's not able to be there at the moment.
I totally see him as a trench coat guy. Gifts you a matching one.
Mikey Wazowski
- Platonic + Romantic
Quite similar to Raph but has some distinct traits.
Will go overboard with everything because he's not entirely sure what you exactly need. Ex. 4-5 blankets or more than enough electric fans
Found frozen foods and used them in replace of ice packs once.
"I'm gonna find who stole them all because I am disgusted at myself right now!"
Uses his culinary skills as an advantage. Is it 3 star Michelin course shit? Indeed it is.
"I present to you my Ganache hot chocolate~"
He absolutely loves physical touch so keep that in mind. You'll have to pry him off you if you get hot though.
Donnie has to teach him how the thermostat works (it's not hard, he's just never used it before).
If you're ever under a blanket he'll try jumping on you.
(Sorry Mikey's is short I'm pulling all my brain cells trying to think of any possible ways)
——————————————————
I tried. I really tried.
Also, I don't ever want to call Mikey "Mikey" ever again. He's "Mikey Wazowski" now.
- Celina

Some fluff please cause thanks to them have killed me ;____;
“Hey, what’re all these papers on the couch?” Luz asked as she made her way down to the boys’ room.
“Oh, nothing really,” said Hunter from the sewing machine. “Just some doodles and sketches I made while I was reading last night. You can just move them over.”
“Oh cool you drew some fan art?” asked Luz utterly delighted as she carefully moved them aside so she wouldn’t sit on them. “Is it okay if I look through them?”
“Go ahead!” Hunter replied happily. “Let me know if you have any questions. I just finished chapter 14 and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it!
“Oh, that’s the one with the volcano right?” Luz said, remembering how her dad would read the books to her when she was little. She flipped though Hunter’s interpretations of O’Bailey’s disguise as he infiltrated the lost planet. “It’s been awhile since I’ve read them, but I remember him and Ivy have some pretty great moments.”
“I know!” Hunter agreed enthusiastically, trying not to take his eyes off the needle. “She’s so awesome; I really liked when they teamed up. I drew a recreation of them navigating the jungle and I think the shading on that one is actually quite impressive.”
“Oh, yeah it’s right here,” said Luz, admiring the attention to detail. “Right next to... a drawing of you and Willow kissing?”
“What? Ow!” distracted, Hunter pricked himself with the machine’s needle. He applied pressure to the small wound and ran over to see what Luz was referring to. “What are you talking about? There’s not-.”
“Dude.” Luz said plainly as she turned Hunter’s own artwork back to him, raising her eyebrows and offering him a mischievous grin. Sure enough, the evidence was pretty damning.
“Whaaaat?” Hunter sputtered. “That’s obviously supposed to be O’Bailey and Ivy after they found the moonstone.”
“Well, maybe that’s what it’s supposed to be,” teased Luz. “But that’s not what I’m seeing here.”
“Oh, please,” Hunter scoffed, starting to sweat for some reason. “O’Bailey is way taller than me a-a-and Willow’s hair is longer than Ivy’s and she doesn’t even have a dress like that... she doesn’t have a dress like that, does she?”
“Hunter it’s okay if you-.”
“I mean, that’s so random that you would think that,” Hunter forcefully laughed as he rose from his seat and started to pace. “Hilarious, actually. I mean, do Willow and Ivy share certain similarities? Yes. Do I admire and respect them? Absolutely. Are they both beautiful and strong? Of course. But that’s really where the comparison ends.”
Luz gave Hunter a look that made it clear she was not convinced.
“Okay okay, it’s probably just because you’re not as familiar with the series,” Hunter bargained. “Any true fan of Cosmic Frontier would easily be able to see this for what it is.”
“Ok sure,” Luz humored him. “Hey Gus! Can you come down here for a second?”
Quickly, Gus made his way down the stairs happily answering Luz’s call. “What’s up?”
Luz presented the drawing to Gus. “Is this or is this not a drawing of Hunter and Willow?”
“Oh it definitely is.”
“Well, you can’t word it like that!” exclaimed Hunter desperately. “That’s leading the witness!”
“Is this a trial?” asked Gus confused.
“Let’s ask Camila, she’s a true fan she’ll know exactly the scene this is depicting,” said Hunter determined, taking the drawing from Luz before running up the stairs. Luz and Gus followed behind, sharing a knowing look. “C’mon!”
They found Camila sitting in the kitchen, working on her laptop as she enjoyed a cup of tea. Hunter frantically slammed the picture on the table in front of her with no explanation but her eyes lit up when she saw what it was.
“Oh mijo, what a cute drawing!” she said with a wide smile, holding it up.
“So, you can clearly tell what it’s a drawing of then?” Hunter said smugly, crossing his arms and giving his friends a victorious smirk.
“Oh, it’s you and Willow dressed as O’Bailey and Ivy!” she gushed. “Oh, esto es tan lindo que quiero ponerlo en un marco.”
Hunter’s look of victory evaporated as he scooped up the drawing and walked out of the kitchen, mumbling something under his breath as he stomped back down to the basement. Luz and Gus burst out laughing
“I don’t know why he’s so upset,” Camila said confused as she sipped her tea. “The shading was really nice, he should be proud of it.”
———
Later that day, Willow was sitting at the kitchen table organizing her scrapbook when Flapjack flew into the room and sat beside her.
“Oh hey bud,” she said, giving him a gentle pat on the head. “What’re you up to?”
Flapjack chirped in response and hopped onto the he ground, promoting Willow to follow him. She obliged, getting up to follow him as he lead her around the corner to a waste paper basket. She seemed skeptic, but Flapjack chirped even louder to confirm this was where he meant to go. Willow leaned down and saw there was a single piece of crumpled paper inside and cautiously and carefully unfolded it to see what all the fuss was the about.
She couldn’t help but smile as she held the paper to her chest and she ran into living room where the rest of the group was hanging out.
“Hey, who threw away this cute drawing of me and Hunter kissing?”

An objectively too long post about Brian (for @mac-audcheese )
Uhm... Ah...
Okay no I can do this...
So like, Brain. He was born. Sorry, there's so little to work with I need to let this stew a little more I'll get something.
Okay! So! Brian. Brian is one of those characters that fan interpretation really needs to make work, and by fan interpretation I mean taking canon out to a farm where it has all the free time it wants to roam around, while you load the double barrel.
Because in canon Brian was the baby of Molly and Dale very abruptly in the early episodes, back when these characters were just villagers with extra dialogue options, and Aph could literally decide to marry them or make them hook up on a whim. And Brain came from that, so some re interpretation is necessary.
I love the idea of Brian being a natural born citizen of Phoenix Drop who's truly lived there all his life. He was always wanting to give back to his village, and decided to be like his father and become a guard. So once he's like 16, he's shipped off to the guard academy!
It's here that whatever changes, changes. What was that change? Uhm. Ah fuck. WAIT I GOT IT!! Okay as Zane is like trying to take over other villages in the background, he makes frequent visits to the guard academy to scope out those who may be future head guards. And most of them are pretty hyped about it, like their instructor says that the Zane Ro'maeve is observing their training session!!
Brian grew up while Phoenix Drop was alive and active, but he was also around the entire year that they were without a lord. He saw how a single accident can send an entire village spiraling out of control with little hope to recover. He knows the importance of a lord and it's why he wants to be a guard. When Zane hears that this one cadet is from Phoenix Drop, the first one from that village in years, he takes interest.
That's a name he hasn't heard in a while. And after having a single talk with Brian, Zane knows that he's got the entire village wrapped around his finger if he plays his cards right. He takes it upon himself to help oversee Brian's training and spends quite a bit of time speaking with the young cadet, about what it means to be a lord, to be a guard, to exist in this system. It's easy to twist said system in Zane's favor, explain the value of O'Khasis taking over Ru'aun and centralizing the entire system.
Cohesion in Ru'aun. O'Khasis having control means that villages can be better supported. If a lord dies, there's someone to replace them, or at least resources to keep a village going without one. Phoenix Drop would never be able to fall into ruin again. All Brian has to do is swear his loyalty to Zane, help him achieve this goal, and he has a Jury of Nine position in his future.
How could anyone say no to that?
Zane does warn him that the road to the Nether is pathed with good intentions. He might ask Brian to do some things that are... Questionable. And his lord might not agree with what Zane wants, something both of them have anticipated. Zane promised that when the smoke is clear, Brian will be rewarded for his efforts. When Zane has victory, O'Khasis will regard him as a hero.
And then Brian returns. He comes back and while everyone is happy he's returned, fully trained, ready to take the position, and nothing seems to be amiss. Except for Molly. Molly can tell something is off, but she can't put her finger on what. Brian was always quite naive and earnest, it's hard to tell what's so strange when he acts the same he always does.
Now this is where things get a little shaky. Because I think Zane can do a lot of manipulation, he is the king of manipulate mansplain malewife, but I don't know how far it would be able to go. A Jury of Nine position is great, but is it enough to sacrifice your own family? When Zane appears in Phoenix Drop, Brian realizes that Zane is willing to use force to make Aph submit to his rule, and that might involve hurting his family.
That's when Zane reveals to Brian before anyone else knows that this is a family matter. That he's ready to even threaten his own brother if he has to. Whatever it takes. Zane frames this as something he doesn't want to do, but rather must do in order to ensure O'Khasis and Ru'aun can prosper. A small price to pay for salvation type shit, and it's enough to win Brian over. And if Zane can stomach harming his own family, Brian should be able to do the same.
It's still hard to watch his sister be hurt. In fact, Zane instructed him to assist in evacuation of Phoenix Drop if things went south, largely so Brian didn't have to see what happened to Alexis and possibly doubt his dedication to Zane and O'Khasis. And when Zane leaves, Brian pretends to despise him with the rest of his family. It's an easy thing to do, but he doesn't enjoy it. Brian sincerely believes that Zane wants a brighter future and that his continued support is contributing to that.
The only time Brian doubts himself is when he goes upstairs in his home and sees his sister completely bedridden. She's breathing thanks to Irene's blessing, but he's afraid she won't wake up. But she has to. Zane promised him she would. He doesn't spend a lot of time home, preferring to busy himself with constant patrols and often falling asleep in one of the guard towers or sometimes he falls asleep at his post.
Whenever questioned on this behaviour by his family, he sells them the story that he just doesn't know if he can see her. He doesn't want to give himself false hope that she'll wake up in case she doesn't. He hates that he isn't even lying when he says it. He wishes he was.
And when Zane calls on him again, Brian is ready to answer. He's so sure that this is going to be worth it. It has to be. If he can't see this through-- He can't let himself think like that. He has to see it through. He'll follow any and all of Zane's orders.
Where does he go after betraying Phoenix Drop...? Great question! 😃 👍
Well, I'm legit out of ideas, it actually took a lot to come up with some of this. Usually I make these posts and just have a ton of ideas all at once, but with Brian I was checking back to the wiki and being disappointed constantly. He seems, I dunno, a little important but clearly Jess didn't think so. Hope I was able to get the ball rolling on fleshing out this character who desperately needs it.

theory | Why Lucas brought Blake back
Tumblr media
I was discussing this with a mutual Lucas stan a few days ago and I can't stop thinking about it because it just makes SO MUCH sense.
So, I'm just going to put it out there. Feel free to disagree with me or respond to it with your own interpretation, I'm so curious what everyone thinks. Especially Lucas fans...
@mercedesdecorazon ‘s fic reminded me that I wanted to post this so here you go 🤌🏽
More under the cut but prepare for a loooong post 👀
Day 7: Remember when the girls have to decide who is most vs least likely to leave with a girlfriend? We all know if you want to keep Lucas, you have to tell them you want to keep Henrik and vice versa.
Day 5: Remember when you return from your dates and the girls ask you if you like the new guys (Lucas & Henrik), you can tell them, "No, neither of them"? Let's say you go with that. Later, your LI tells you that he overheard Marisol say that "you fancy both of them", even though you said the exact opposite! This is going to get important in a second, bear with me 😌
Day 8: Lucas wants to have a chat on the roof terrace and says the following, "I know you wish it was Henrik who stayed instead of me".
Remember? Yes? Okay, well, have you never thought - How??? Where does he get that impression? Why does he think that? And how does he "know" that? That's a bit of a strong word, isn't it?
And then the thought occurred to me -
What if someone (probably Marisol, but we don't know that) told him that you told the girls the night before that you wanted to keep Henrik? (I mean, you had to because reversed psychology, but let's forget that for a moment)
And if someone told him that, of course he's going to think, wait, she doesn't even like me. It makes sense that Marisol is that person because she desperately wants that spark, and so far it hasn't happened. And Rocco got dumped. So Lucas is really the only option for her at this point.
Day 9: When you pick Lucas for your date, he reacts very confused and really surprised, which - again - makes no sense unless he thinks MC doesn't really like him. At least not as much as she likes/d Henrik. Because boy, my MC has been flirting with Lucas the whole time! And Marisol is pissed that MC chooses Lucas - "Hey! That's who I was going to choose!"
Day 10/ OP NOPE/ Gary and Lucas in the kitchen with the smoothie machine: Lucas says that maybe “he should and check on Hope".
Right? While your MC is standing right in front of him. That always bothered me and I didn't understand what his damn problem was, but now it makes sense:
He thinks MC chose Henrik over him, and now that Henrik is gone, he doesn't want to feel like a second option. So he feels he has to keep his options open - that's why he says that about Hope (who we know he fancies!)
Maybe - and I'm going out on a limb here - he even says it as a subtle dig at MC, like, "You don't like me? Well, I’ve got other options. Doesn’t mean I have to stay with you forever!"
Disaster Recoupling: if MC picked him on Day 9, he will "return the favour", as he puts it. He likes MC (probably more than he'd like to admit), but he's still so insecure. And instead of talking to her about it, he keeps it to himself, swallows it down and lets it eat him up inside.
Casa Amor: I guess Lucas wanted to stay loyal and didn't necessarily enjoy the kiss he shared with Blake in that challenge. (I agree with you here, @mercedesdecorazon ) Jakub just said it looked like he enjoyed it. But after seeing the video of the girls, insecurity about MC's true feelings caught up with him again and he thought (which he makes clear after the stick & switch recoupling when you talk to him on the roof terrace) that MC would switch "for sure". Which she obviously didn't.
Stick & Switch Recoupling: MC comes back alone while Lucas brings Blake back. I suspect that the moment he saw MC sitting alone, he thought, I screwed up so badly. She'll never forgive me for this and now I've lost everything.
And that's the exact moment he realises that not only does he really like MC (that he's actually falling in love with her - I mean, he's picked a girl so similar to MC, that says it all), but that MC likes him too. She came back single, she stuck with him.
Day 18: When you decide to save him from being dumped, he walks over to you without even giving Blake a glance. Because it's you he wants. Who he's always wanted. And now that he's realised you want him just as much, he's all in. 🥺🥺🥺🥺
Day 24: In that way, it also makes sense that he was so jealous and insecure again when Henrik showed up at the Villa again. He needed so much reassurance, although we could never claim that after how he did us so dirty with both Blake and then Elisa, but it's just the old fear of losing her to his buddy. The fear that's still in the back of Lucas' head telling him that MC likes Henrik more than him, which she clearly doesn't and never has.
But that idiot never opened his mouth, goddamn it! 😭😭
I don’t know about you but knowing this makes it so much easier to forgive him. He’s just insecure and wants to be prioritized. He wants to be loved by MC. 🥺

Songs I think fit Frubbo because yes
Of course this is my own opinion, you don't have to agree. If you want to add anything just feel free to do so! And as always this is the character, not the content creator.
I'll add the song, artist, the meaning of the song when you search it up, and the lyrics that made me think of them.
Be Nice To Me by The Front Bottoms
The waning days of a mutually self-destructive relationship
"But you're a killer
And I'm your best friend
Thinks it's unfair, your situation"
I feel like this might soon reflect on what's to come. Fred keeps repeating to Tubbo about how he's not someone he should be trusted because there are things he's done that aren't good.
"Well I try to write you poems, but the words, they don't make sense
My hand tries to grip the pencil, but the fingers are too tense"
Sometimes when Tubbo is writing letters to Fred, the message he's trying to convey can come off wrong. Such as the first instance of him inviting Fred on a picnic and Fred interpreting it as him asking him on a date instead of just a hangout. Not to mention the two aren't that good at voicing their emotions to eachother.
"And I try to show emotions, but my eyes won't seem to wet"
This reflects Fred's struggle with dealing with emotions. Though he's trying to learn human emotions, technically he's still not allowed to because of the Federation.
Favorite Poison by Fuller
Bad choices in dating
"You get high on breaking rules
Cutting lies and blurring truth
I got lost after finding you
Can't cut, cut, cut you loose"
Tubbo often liked to mess with Cucurucho by explicitly breaking rules because of his dislike of the Federation. Fred as he grew closer to Tubbo also started to loose trust for the Federation, and as stated in one of his letters "For the first time after living on the island I can't make firm decisions." Hence the "I got lost after finding you" lyric. He's grown to close to Tubbo to want to stop being his friend as well
"Your a bad habit and I'm a bad boyfriend"
Fred has been reprimanded for keeping a connection with Tubbo, though despite that he still keeps exchanging letters with him. Possibly being a bad habit. Yes Fred and Tubbo aren't dating but the "I'm a bad boyfriend" reminds me of when Fred called himself a bad penpal
"I don't know if I'll ever change
You never asked so I didn't say
Maybe it's love because I feel okay"
This could be Fred wondering if he'll ever learn human emotions fully, and questioning whether or not what he feels for Tubbo is love.
No Time To Explain by good kid
The change that comes with getting close to someone and how it can be scary, yet uplifting at the same time.
"I said I don't like change but I'm not afraid
I can't keep it together ever anyway
When every page is in disarray
I think we'll be okay"
Fred feeling human emotions for the first time is quite a big change for him. Despite that, Tubbo is there and willing to support him through it. This reminds me epecially since the lyric is "We'll be okay", not just "I'll be okay".
Oh No! by Kevin Walkman
Letting your walls down and allowing yourself to fall for someone.
"I know we could be more than friendly-
What does that even mean?"
At first Tubbo intended to just be friends with Fred, obviously that didn't work. I view this part as like one of his awkward attempts at telling Fred he likes him while also trying not to make him uncomfortable
"And oh my God!
We could admit that this is odd!
Love at first sight is bullshit now
But look at your face"
Tubbo and Fred's situation-ship/friendship/whatever Fred is calling it I think is probably best described as odd. Though they weren't 'love at first sight' I do feel like Tubbo figured it out earlier on.
"Oh no no shit really hit the fan"
In context it doesn't really work, but the mess of 'Is Fred a 50 year old man'? Or Fred telling Bagi that he never wanted something romantic reminded me of how I felt trying to catch up on everything lol.
"I can't tell my girlfriend I'm gay
Cause she spent eight months thinking I'm straight, oh no!"
Once again in context it doesn't fit but it reminded me of that one dono Tubbo got that said Fred mightve been straight, so basically kind of the opposite of this lyric

Alexandra Grant is shedding new light on her relationship with boyfriend Keanu Reeves!
The accomplished visual artist, 50, attended the Los Angeles Beverly Arts Icon Awards on Friday sans Reeves, 59, and when asked if it is harder or easier to tackle red carpets alone, gave a thoughtful answer.
“The good news about falling in love as an adult is that I had built my own career by the time that my relationship had begun,” she tells PEOPLE. “I feel very confident in the relationship on the red carpet. I feel confident on it alone.”
"It's interdependent and independent in the best ways,” she adds.
While Grant, an honoree at the ceremony, hit the red carpet solo at The Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles, she has been photographed at several events with Reeves since the pair made their public debut as a couple in 2019.
When asked how she and the John Wick star — who started off as friends and collaborators — interact with each other’s professional environments, Grant began her response by recalling a moment she felt stuck creatively.
“In a moment of frustration in my life, I once said, ‘Sometimes I feel like a Maserati stuck in traffic,' that I have this big engine, but, for a variety of reasons, that I couldn't ever go,” she tells PEOPLE. “And I know a lot of people feel frustrated in their lives, that they're not able to run their engine.”
She adds: “I think every creative person feels that way.”
“What I love about Keanu and our exchange is that we're pushing each other to build new roads,” she says. “Seeing the other person's problem-solving is inspiring, like, ‘Oh, well, okay, this one, that's a cul-de-sac. How do I try this other thing?’ ”
“He's such an inspiration to me,” she continues. “He's so creative, he's so kind. He works so hard.”
Grant also shares that “storytelling is at the heart” of what both she and her actor boyfriend do.
“My work is much more of a private performance, but I have a text that I interpret in the studio into a painting, into an object,” she says. “He takes the text in private and then turns it into a performance in public. There's a relationship. We're both at the heart readers and researchers. We both care about people and we care about characters.”
Grant went on to compare her and Reeves’ creative worlds using a metaphor.
“I think there's a lot of similarities,” she began. “Sometimes I feel like, to make a film, as we're seeing now in the strike, that it's a cruise ship. Everyone is dependent on everyone else. You can't go off and— being an artist, maybe at the beginning of my career, I was in a kayak on the sea of creativity. Now maybe it's a small speedboat, but it's still a lot more nimble.”
“I think that is very inspiring for him,” she said of Reeves and the “cruise ship”-like nature of making a movie.
She continues, “To make a film, you require hundreds of people. To be an artist, you don't. You require one. You require a community to get the work into the world, but not to actually make it. I think part of the inspiration is the differences of scale.”
According to Grant, her art has “absolutely” changed since she began dating Reeves in 2019.
“I had a studio visit a few years ago, and this very kind, very high-level person said, 'I can see that your work has gotten happier,’ ” she remembers. “That's real. We're all human beings. We're animals. We're expressing from where we are and certainly feeling happier. I think the work is happier.”
Both Grant and Reeves dedicated their Friday nights to art. The Matrix star had to miss the ceremony to perform with his band Dogstar, according to Grant.
“I'm really proud,” she says. “I am a huge Dogstar fan. I had the great pleasure of going to their first public show and because I've been listening to the latest album for quite some time, I was one of the only people in the audience who knew all the lyrics. That was really cool. It's fun. It's beyond fun.”
She continues, “I was dancing to all the lyrics and then I looked around and I was like, ‘Nobody has heard the album except for me and a few people.’ It's been a real pleasure to see the guys come back together, to be so creative and supportive of one another.”
Grant says she is “so proud” and “happy” for Reeves’ alternative rock band, which reunited this year for the first time in 20 years.
“I'm glad they're able to do it,” she says, adding that she thinks it’s “really great that Keanu has the ability to pivot to being a musician” amid the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
“They had been playing music and rehearsing and they had already recorded most of the album before the strike,” she adds. “What it opened up was more time to go on the road.”

I never liked Leon's face model in ID and DI, I wish they would use his face from Damnation. I don't understand why they changed
Tumblr media
capcom has never been consistent when it comes to their character designs. that's also why they don't stray too much from outfit choices/colours and hairstyles. otherwise a character can easily be misinterpreted as another imo. example, red is always ada or claire. blue is leon or jill. rebecca is green etc. orange is ashley.
leon has had red, blond, brown and black hair. blue eyes and i think brown??? green? eyes. ada has had brown, green, grey eyes? even now ashley had her iconic amber eyes be switched to a green :| (im not happy about it, i liked her og eye colour better as it was rarer and more unique looking. now ashley looks like any other blonde girl)
leon has kept his hair style and general colour palettes. the only one significantly different was re6 outfit with the red undershirt, as red is not a colour commonly associated with leon. (i like to this it's connected to ada heehee)
to be fair, i think the changes might actually be a good idea in terms of garnering a larger audience. hear me out here.
we have a general idea of what leon looks like. but let's switch the hair colours, okay. now some people love blond leon. and some love dark haired leon. okay now let's tweak some variations of his face. okay some LOVE infinite darkness leon (daddy) and some LOVE babyface re2r leon. and some LOVE damnation leon (daddy) and some LOVE vendetta leon (emo daddy) BUT i have also seen people disliking ALL of these variants of leon.
now the consistent things i've noticed about his face is that he always is depicted with the sharp brow, and he has a very pronounced nose bridge, and the butt chin has been on every modern interpretation of leon since after 2004 (re4) infinite darkness Leon is actually a decent interpretation of re6 leon and damnation leon
in the og timeline, with re4, leon's cheek is cut and has a scar even in re6. because of re4r no longer recreating this cut, we can assume that he will not have a scar in a potential re6r. the scar is also not in any cgi film.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
he and ada both share gsw scars in the opposite shoulders, but it's unlikely we will see these. (please let me see them in a movie or game, i am begging you. i want them to kiss each other scars)
i think with so many variations of leon in different companies mind you, since the cgi films are a different production team than the games. it makes sense on why they might have their own versions of leon. at least with the game remakes, we have a more consistent face model for leon. i'll be honest, i am not a fan of re4r leon's face. i like it, it's not my favourite. and that's okay! but here we go now, we've created fun discourse over it lol
my favourite has always been re6 leon. something about his voice (matt mercer) and his design just won me over so much.
also that being said with your original ask, damnation leon is actually one of the more different ones as well. he has a completely different eye colour, same with ada. and the darker hair colour.
and also (allegedly ada was modelled after their voice actors/mocap actors. (for re6) so i want to assume that they did the same for leon/matt mercer/his mocap actor), and i do wonder if they did this for damnation as well.
at least with the remakes it seems they want to be more consistent, which is good. but with capcom's track record, i wouldn't be too sure that they would continue with this route. we might even get a more infinite darkness style face in re6r. who knows. only time will tell lol

House-hunting with Gilbert
modern/domestic au, crack, sexual content MDNI
He wears a v-neck sweater for this. Not because he likes it (he does), or because it's weather-appropriate (it's not), but because he enjoys the thought of you going through the entire day wondering why he chose to wear it. You learn sometime around sunset that he just really likes v-neck sweaters.
And khaki pants. It's the early 2000s. You have khaki pants too. You're twinning in the worst way. Unless you're a fan of khaki pants. Then you're twinning in the best way.
The neighborhood in question is a quiet, established suburb with some of the houses veering into three stories. Like a tale told in three acts, you say, in pursuit of some deeper meaning to the droll task of house-hunting. Gilbert laughs, and it sounds like drops of rain bouncing off a tin bucket someone left under a leaky roof. Interpret that however you wish. He enjoys your adorable insights. This he makes known to astounding effect by back-hugging you and whispering into your ear in the most not-rated-G way while you're in the middle of maintaining flustered, steely-eyed, serious-adult eye-contact with the balding real estate agent.
Tiles are important. Bathroom tiles, tilework on the porch. Gilbert has something saucy to say about every little thing, and you start to wonder if he's just not committed to this whole new-house thing. You'd assumed you were both on the same page considering how animated he was about what married life for you two would look like in the confines of suburbia. He, being Gilbert von Obsidian, did verily use the word 'confines'. You appreciated the double-meaning in the context of his statement, while only appreciating one of those double-meanings. "Gilbert," you said, using his full-name to let him know you're serious. "That makes you sound like a serial-killer." Prompting him to leaky-roof-bucket-laugh sweetly and say: "Hm. That's a good idea. I'll think about it."
Turns out he doesn't actually hate all the tile-work. He's just concerned about what he believes you two can reasonably renovate or replace on your modest budget, especially after factoring in other aspects of the house-buying process. It's not that you don't have the same concerns, but jeez, Gilbert. Cut those tiles a break. They're non-sentient, and that's the worst thing for a tile to be.
For the houses that have pretty rose hedges separating their yard from the neighbors, Gilbert makes every attempt to "magic" some of the roses into their beautiful dark counterparts. You don't notice him doing this for the first several houses. Around mid-afternoon, he seems a little bummed that you haven't noticed his mischief, so he finds a bathroom with okay-tiles to sequester you and bite all his feels out. Weirdly it is some of the hottest sex you guys have had in months. You're having some weird thoughts about that v-neck sweater now.
The poor, balding real-estate agent, who absolutely knows what prospective homeowners do when they slip into a bathroom for a closer look, asks if maybe you two have taken a liking to this house. Gilbert smiles with the wattage of a premium light-bulb and says no. You know Gil well enough by this point to fail to correctly ascertain several things because you're blinded by your own love for him (don't worry, this goes both ways), but you know for a fact that he feels bad for toting the agent around the neighborhood like this, even if Gil is going full-force on the Difficult Customer persona. It's adorably awkward of him in the most elegant way. He's been taken advantage of in the past by salespeople who've tricked him into ridiculous cable packages and horrendous multi-level-marketing schemes. No more, he told himself.
This is before he met you and fell back in love with his own kindness. So even though he tells the real-estate agent "no" in regards to this house. He follows it up with "I'm tired. We're using the bedroom for a nap." And he takes you by the wrist and sweeps you away past a row of windows with a suspiciously clear view of a hedge of roses that have been altered to reflect Gilbert colours, British spelling.
And then you guys have sex in that room too. So I guess you gotta buy the house now

wanted to make sure i told you again! it is literally basic fandom etiquette not to use the main tags for vent/anti/hate about a character! people use those tags because they LIKE solomon, not because they want to see some idiot calling him "basically a rapist" for something >>NOT EVEN ASMODEUS<< interpreted that way. fix your fucking tags! go fuck yourself!
Hi there, If your initial reaction to seeing someone talk about negative [yet still canon] things related to your favorite character is to come into that person's ask box and tell them to go fuck themselves, you need to get up, turn of your computer, and go outside for a while.
Whatever post you're mad about was made months ago, using tags that are meant to be used when discussing a character regardless of how much the op likes said character.
Solomon is fine, I don't really care for him, but what I'm most likely referring to in the post you're talking about is the hypocrisy of the obey me fandom when it comes to Solomon's behavior.
When Solomon attempted to give Lucifer a drink that was enchanted to make him want a pact with Solomon, it was fairly well agreed across the fandom that what Solomon did was pretty fucked up and not okay. However, when talking about how Solomon got his pact with Asmodeus by taking advantage of the fact he was heartbroken and drunk to tie him into a forever binding pact against his will, somehow people are making excuses as to why it was necessary and why what Solomon did is fine actually and not a problem at all. This is where my issue with Solomon and his fans lies, with the hypocrisy. I couldn't give 2 shits whether he's your favorite character or not, good for you if he is! But what we're NOT going to do is scream bloody murder when Solomon attempts to do shady shit to Lucifer, but overly demonize Asmodeus, say he deserved it, say his charming power is non consensual regardless of the fact nowhere in canon says he has ever used it to have non consensual sex and has only used it to get himself and his family out of danger, or say that he is a beast that needs to be controlled when we don't talk that way about the other 6 brothers, when Solomon succeeds in taking advantage of his inebriated state to tie them together so he can use Asmodeus' power for his own gain.
And one more thing we aren't going to do; call me an idiot and accuse me of calling your blorbo a rapist when *you* cannot tell the difference between someone saying "a character was taken advantage of while under the influence" and "this character is a rapist." Solomon did not sexually assault anyone, however the framing of that scene is open to interpretation and to my interpretation, it was heavy handed in showing Solomon doing something that is extremely not okay and laughing it off like it was completely fine. Because to him, it IS fine to treat demons like that. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my interpretation of the scene, and I will continue to use characters' main tags when talking about them because the tags are used for discussion.
