Related to my previous post, here are my headcanons for the pokémon teams the kings would have (feel free to add your own)

Satan:

* Annihilape (A pokémon so angry it died and rage brought it back to life.)

*Tinkaton (Smol and filled with rage, also, very cute.)

*Tyranitar (Idk vibes)

*Hisuian Zeraora (they have the same hair. Also both of them are angry that their people are dying)

Mammon:

*Gholdengo (It's a setient pile of gold)

*Corviknight (It's huge, 250cm, bro that's gigantic. Also, made out of metal which could be gold, why not?)

*Metagross (Tartaros has the best tech in hell, so it makes sense Mammon would have a robot. Bonus points since its shiny has a golden X on its face. Bonus bonus points for Metagross' attack animation)

*Archaludon (Again, made out of metal, but it also has a rivalry with Tyranitar which I think it's pretty cute.)

Leviathan:

*Milotic (They're the same person)

*Gyarados (Did you know that Leviathan also referes to big sea monsters? You did? Bummer.)

*Marowak (Both are orphans)

*Vaporeon (I just think they would be friends)

Beelzebub

*Beedrill (It's a bee, nothing more than that really)

*Slurpuff (Slurpuff has the best smell out of any pokémon, and it's also an ugly dog. And we know that Beelzebub likes ugly dogs sorry not sorry Naberius stans)

*Alcremie (Makes stuff sweeter, who wouldn't want that?)

*Alolan Muk (1st of all, foreign, 2nd of all, it eats garbage. If Beelzebub fucks up his cooking he just gives it to Muk)

Lucifer

*Giratina (Omg, the fallen angel gets the fall from grace pokémon, who would have thought)

*Togekiss (It evolves with friendship and it likes friends and I just want Lucifer to have a support system. Also, a lot of people think that Togepi is a Gen 1 pokémon because of the anime so that would make it kind of a misfit. Perfect for Paradise Lost)

*Melmetal (Nobody really knows what generation to put Meltal and Melmetal in, so, again, into Paradise Lost they go)

*Shedinja (It's dead and it has a halo, I rest my cast)

*Gardevoir (My fav pokémon for my fav character)

Bonus: Some of my favourite nobles with some of my favourite pokémon

Bimet:

*Ceruledge (He orders the dead around, Ceruledge is a ghost, do you see my vision?)

Valefor:

*Armarouge (They're both knights, it makes sense)

*Aegislash (King's Shield, cause Valerof protects Mammon and Mammon is the King so Valerof is the King's shield.)

*Sylveon (Ribbons)

*Mawile (I think Mawile is extremely cute, and I always train my ORAS Mawiles to perform well in cuteness contests)

*Cutiefly (It's cute)

Gamigin:

*Drampa (Old chinese-esc dragon. Would probably call it pee-paw and it would be one of his greatest friends)

*Altaria (They are both extremely cuddly)

*Bagon (Small dragon baby that wants to learn how to fly.)

MHA Pokémon Trainers: Katsuki (mostly)

So, this Would Not leave me alone, so! Some general thoughts on Pokémon I think Katsuki could have! (I’m assuming this is TransFem Katsuki, so, working with that!)

Mankey > Primeape > Anniliape - This one, I actually see as her starter/first partner. Like, she WANTS one of the kick ass, fancy starters other people get, but she ends up with a Mankey. I can see it’s honestly what her parents get for her OR before she’s officially old enough to have her own Pokémon, she befriends a wild Mankey … by beating each other up. Keep in mind, in Pokémon world, humans are more durable than we are (due to genetics, cartoon physics, also shit like Aura, and psychic powers), so little Katsuki fighting a Pokémon to a standstill is not ACTUALLY out of the realm of possibility. They end up fighting a lot, and eventually develop mutual respect and friendship. There’s probably some middle bits, but basically, Katsuki comes home one day with a Mankey - “Hey, Mom, Dad, this is Nukey, short Nuclear Disaster, he knows Fire Punch and Overheat, and he’s staying with me.” (Yes, those are moves they can eventually learn)

Typhlosion - Katsuki’s starter, is she doesn’t have Mankey. Or maybe she has both? Mankey she just brings home one day, Cyndaquil she gets from the Professor when she’s old enough (Sidenote: Who’s the Professor? My immediate thoughts are Nezu, but I actually see him as a Mew masquerading as a Human … which, never mind, maybe it is Nezu. Or maybe the Shields.)

Voltorn/Electrode - This just feels too obvious, almost. Though, you could make it interesting, by having them maybe be the Hisuian versions?

Magikarp/Feebas - I can definitely see Katsuki eventually getting one or both of these. The Magikarp/Garaydos I feel is obvious, but the Feebas/Milotic I feel could work too, especially because Milotic is a fairly “Feminine” Pokémon, but still kicks all kinds of ass. Not sure, though. Especially because, compared to Magikarp, Feebas are extremely hard to find, train, and evolve, so by comparison, it would be easier to get a Magikarp.

Eevee - I want to give her a Flareon, but then, I feel like Eevee probably isn’t really Katsuki’s style? Plus, I see it as too Shoto (Kanto Vulpix, Alolan Vulpix, Glaceon, Flareon, that sort of thing)

Togepi - I am deeply, DEEPLY tempted, to have Katsuki hatch a Togepi, and raise it all the way to Togekiss. Don’t know how that would work out, but I have the image, and by god, it is glorious.

“Transport” - so, I have a thing about “Transport Pokémon”. I feel all trainers should, if they travel a lot, have a Pokémon they can ride in an emergency. So far, the ones I’ve found that fit Katsuki (also Pokémon he could have in General, but I don’t want to put them twice): Rapidash, Charizard, Arcanine, Tauros (any work, but Fire Form works best), Basculegion, Braviary (either form).

Pokémon Katsuki Could Have (General): Magmar, Machamp, Weezing, Wobbuffet (borrowed from Kirishima, for training), Forretress, Snubbull/Granbull, Houndour/Houndoom, Blaziken (Speed Boost, possible replacing Typhlosion), Numel/Camerupt, Zangoose, Crawdaunt, Salamence, Infernape, Staraptor, Garchomp, Riolu/Lucario, Croagunk/Toxicroak (traded from Tsuyu), Gliscor, Heatran, Victini (kind of? I can definitely see her with one, but I can’t see her using it much, cause she doesn’t want people to say she won just because she had Victini…), Simisear, Basculin, Darmanitan, Scrafty, Frillish/Jellicent (don’t know why, but I can see it), Volcarona, Talonflame, Aromatisse, Clawitzer, Toucannon, Salandit/Salazzle, Turtonator, Kommo-o, Blacephalon, Armarouge, Mabosstiff.

Other assorted thoughts:

Tetsutetsu - Purrserker

Monoma - Smeargle, Meowscarada,

Uraraka - Clefariy, Deoxys

I love all of this but wow ya girl has so many options!

I think I’ll give Katsuki the Cyndaquil as a starter, but she def gets a Mankey that keeps trying to pick a fight with her and she’s like ‘hey let’s keep this up actually’.

I like the idea of the Magikarp/Feebas thing, but that would probably be a later thing because early/pre-character development Katsuki wouldn’t have the patience for them even if she knows they’ll eventually be the powerhouse Gyarados/Milotic. Maybe we could force it early by combining it with what was suggested with the Togepi thing? Like she gets an egg and it hatches a Feebas and that both makes her more determined to see this through but helps in teaching the patience.

You’re right on Flareon feeling too Todoroki. Like the other Eeveelutions are up for grabs for everyone else, but Flareon and Glacion are being yeeted at the Todorokis

I think an Arcanine works best on transport I like the vibes.

I gotta keep the Riolu/Lucario because of the Mystery Dungeon tho.

Straw Hats Pokemon League AU Part 2

Part 1 : Gym Leaders (Usopp, Chopper, Nami, Brook, Franky, Robin, Jinbe, Sanji) I thought of making the elite 4 yonko or former yonko, warlords etc but it got a bit weird figuring out who would qualify for it so I figured I'd just choose four of my favourite characters and run with it. As stated in the previous post, everyone is alive and well and it's all very wholesome; I'm not making an evil team either because there's too many goddamn antagonists to establish something coherent. All elite 4 members get full teams off the bat because I can

Ground Specialist Nefertari Vivi: Vivi is part of a tradition of ground type elite 4 members including her dad and Crocodile and she’s thriving! Cobra is doing just fine and both of them have mentored her to varying degrees, although she still maintains (justifiably) that Crocodile is an asshole. I like the idea of her wearing her coronation outfit in the official league battles and switching to more casual stuff when you actually see her in her hometown. Golduck is there as a tribute to Karoo, and the Sandaconda is a nod to Cobra. Hippowdon would help set up sand streams but also per the first post it’s implied that she gave Nami a hippopotas egg that hatched from her own. Cobra has a Nidoking and Crocowani has a Krookodile. Team: Golduck, Garchomp, Sandaconda, Gastrodon, Hippowdown, Nidoqueen

Fire Specialists Portgas D. Ace and Sabo: Ace is the successor to Whitebeard’s old elite 4 position, and *dealing with some stuff* after a lifetime of inferiority complex knowing he’s the son of a former GOAT champion. After you clear the league, he decides to take a bit of a mental health break and Sabo fills in for him, although you can still find him for rematches. I almost almost gave Brook the Skeledirge because I wanted him to have more musical Pokemon, but I thought it’d be funny to give Ace a ghost type (wink wink nudge nudge) His team’s not the most balanced in that it has a lot of sweepers and is very offence oriented, but I think that suits his character and there’s some thought behind it (lots of drought and heat rocks to nerf water as much as possible and boost the team, probably an air balloon here and there to help balance out the ground weakness, and give the Incineroar and Armarouge some fighting moves to counter rock types). Sabo is also kind of a fire specialist, but he gets lots of dragon types as a tribute to his mentor and signature attacks in canon. He also gets a Charizard to kind of link the two brothers since the Mera Mera doesn’t exist in this world. Ace’s Team: Volcarona, Mega Charizard-Y, Drought Torkoal, Armarouge, Skeledirge, Incineroar Sabo’s Team: Mega Charizard X, Haxorus, Ceruledge, Chandelure, Turtonator, Salamence

Mixed Dark/Fairy Specialist Charlotte Katakuri: I was caught between having either him or Kidd as the third elite 4 member but I ended up choosing Katakuri just because I personally enjoy him more. I thought of giving him a dessert team at first but there’s no donut Pokemon as of yet and I figured that would suit Linlin better in the event that I do make a team for her, so I’m giving him a lot of dark and fairy types. Mismagius and Hatterene are both there as tributes to Brûlée and I wanted to give the bitey boy something known mostly for its extremely prominent hidden jaw as his ace/signature Pokemon Team: Grimmsnarl, Obstagoon, Clefable, Mismagius, Hatterene, Mega Mawile

Ice/Water Specialist Trafalgar D. Water Law: Law still has his submarine, although he uses it a bit more for research purposes; you run into him in the Polar Tang while you’re being dragged around doing underwater side quests at Jinbei’s behest. The Beartic, Cetitan and Empoleon are there mostly as tributes to Bepo, Shachi/Hakugan, and Penguin, and he leans toward ice/water specialization because of his crew and their polar theming. I thought about giving him an Eiscue, but I figured Empoleon would help balance the team a bit more and generally feels slightly more sword-fighty. Alolan Ninetales is the exception to the polar marine animal theme (although ig it could technically be an arctic fox) but it’s mainly just there to set up hail and I don’t think Aurorus suits Law any better. I thought of giving him an arctozolt to match the colour scheme of the Polar Tang but I ended up choosing Weavile just because it seemed more aesthetically suited to him. Team: Beartic, Cloyster, Cetitan, Empoleon, Alolan Ninetales (snow warning), Weavile

Champion Roronoa Zoro: Zoro is, at present, the champion of the region although he doesn’t really think it suits him, and straight up tells the player that someone else who’s stronger and who he’s deeply loyal to should really be in his place right now. His team is annoyingly, almost detrimentally sword-themed and painfully unbalanced. He’s basically the Wallace of this world, in that he’s got the chops to be where he is but he’s still basically filling in for the real champion/final boss (Luffy) It’s implied that he and Sanji had a massive fight over who should take the seat after Luffy stepped away from being the Champion; Sanji claims he chose his current job so that he could focus more on his cooking but keeps insisting he totally could have beaten Zoro is he really wanted to and it remains a major point of contention. The rest of their friend group is sick of it. Team: Samurott, Scizor, Lucario, Mega Gallade, Absol, Kingambit

Final Boss: Pokemon Trainer Monkey D. Luffy This one’s a bit weird; Luffy’s team isn’t meant to be especially balanced or well thought out because Luffy isn’t a strategist and chooses his companions on pure instinct, but he still needs to have those mythical Zoan attributes, a monkey theme, and stand head and shoulders above all the other bosses, so I slapped a bunch of legendaries/mythical Pokemon that had Luffy vibes onto his team and let him approach battles with a “hit hard, ask questions later” kind of attitude. The Infernape was his starter and given to him by Ace, who obviously raises little fire types in his free time, and it’s there for the obvious Wukong connection. Annihilape kind of reminds me of gear 5, the Tauros is a tribute to Ucy/Moocy, Hoopa has chaos vibes, and Victini is there as a symbol of victory and liberation. Pokemon Trainer Luffy's Team: Paldean Tauros (Combat Breed), Infernape, Zarude, Annihilape, Hoopa, Victini

I figure other Yonko, Warlords, Supernovas, or major antagonists could be frontier brains or something along those lines but I have spent enough time coming up with Pokemon teams for now.

pokemon AU brainrot is real (i can't draw pokemon) i have some thoughts underneath the cut, so you can read them for fun if you'd like. what i will say over it though is that once again rabbit's gigantic sexy galaxy brain gave the pokemon ideas for murasaku, moriliu, and mayukuro. mwah thanks as always you should give your brain more credit (i will force you to)

when SV came out i remember bulldozing for a charcadet cuz i saw ceruledge and was like damn that's cool, and named him "tatsuya" (first name for fun) - then i found out he had a counterpart (armarouge) and i was like wow this is literally kagami and himuro (please see their dex entries for more info). i haven't done much in the way of writing, but just know in my head there's an entire story with the dramatic breakup where they both started off with charcadet, and then stuff happened. emulating canon, basically. alex trained them with her skeledirge.

next, takao's emolga and erika's pancham torment himuro, because why not. hot man suffering or something. himuro's popularity certainly translates over to pokemon (emolga likes midorima better, but they like to tease himuro because takao does).

last of the himuro series, i do have an entire team thought up for himueri - i love ceruledge, but froslass would be THE pokemon for himuro (like, designated partner pokemon... reasons are self-explanatory). and cinccino is THE pokemon for erika (scarf...) - they're just tormenting each other. my favorite thought about this is that froslass very often thinks about making himuro a frozen statue because of how hot he is (she doesn't, because she's trained well, but she has Thoughts). she doesn't really care about erika but grows to tolerate her, and would turn her into a statue if it makes himuro happy (i mean, it wouldn't, but froslass is vibing). on the other hand, cinccino admires himuro's skin and wonders about his skincare routine.

murasakibara and sakurai own their own bakery shop, where they cater to pokemon and humans alike. don't mind the poisonous looking poffins. amoonguss (sakurai's) just chills around the shop a lot and tries to leech off the extra goodies if there are any. alcremie (murasakibara's) helps out with the baking, and is fascinated by how well the two can manage to switch between different types of pastries and bento boxes. savory AND sweet foods offered! i call it a bakery but it's a glorified bakery because they can do a lot of different foods.

moriyama and liu wei definitely start out like how i've written them in my yosen canon lol they bond over wanting to flirt and seduce women, but it creates a whole other can of sexual tension. moriyama's delcatty is often the semi-unwilling captain of moriyama's journey to become popular with women. she does love him but barely manages to tolerate his shenanigans (unfortunately, it sometimes works - girls will come up to pet his delcatty. she enjoys being pampered and the attention, at least). escavalier for liu wei, and to quote rabbit, a knight in shining armor represents his ideals best given his antiquated demeanor. plus, it's pretty swoonworthy to be popular with the ladies. they're all gay though.

mimikyu for mayuzumi and pikachu for kuroko should be self-explanatory. kuroko's pikachu has blue eyes... because why not. i imagine that mayuzumi reads out in the park often to calm mimikyu's sadness. pikachu desperately wants mimikyu to like him. mimikyu ain't having it though. however, much to mayuzumi's disgruntlement, mimikyu does like kuroko more than pikachu. no one is deterred by the other's bitterness - in fact, it's much ammo for teasing.

Gym 1:

Ashley Jackson (A.J)

Ground type specialist: Lives In Ponytaville and runs sweet apple acres

Farm and Gym: with her Mudsdale

Main team: Mudsdale, Excadrill, Diggersby, Donphan, would have some new ground themed dog Pokemon

Gym 2:

Rachel

Flying type specialist: Lives in Cloudsdale, a city atop a mountain close to the clouds, very famous athlete

Training hall and Gym: with her Braviary

Main team: Braviary, Pidgeot, Staraptor, Talonflame, and a bug/flying esc turtle pokemon (Felicity/Flattershy would have gifted her one, its supposed to be Tank from the show)

Gym 3:

Felicity

Bug/Grass Specialist: Lives on the outskirts of Ponytaville and more towards the forest. She owns a Equestrian regional version of a Buneary a grass/bug type. Feeling unsure on whether to specialize in bug or grass she decided to go with both so that no feelings are hurt. She is the regions top Pokemon healer and has a few Nurses in training working with her and her Pokemon sanctuary.

Animal sanctuary and gym: with her regional buneary

Main team: regional buneary, beautifly, vespiquen, cherrim, whimsicott

Gym 4:

Paisley

An electric specialist: Lives near Las Rapidash, A party city full of fun, laughter, and amazing memories to make! Despite owning a bakery she is more of the party planner type, so her Pokemon tend to reflect her more "electric" personality.

Bakery and Gym: with regional Krookodile being an electric/Fairy type

Main team: Regional Krookodile, oricorio, rotom heat, ampharos, bellibolt

Gym 5:

Regina

A rock specialist: Lives in Manehattan. A lively city were Rachel is the top stylist and fashion designer in the whole region. She owns many boutiques around Equestria were she specializes in both Human and Pokemon styling.

Fashion Boutique and Gym: With her Carbink

Main team: Carbink, Aurorus, Minior, Gigalith, and a rock cat type Pokemon (maybe a regional version of Purugly?)

Gym 6:

Spencer:

Dragon specialist: Was best friends with former Gym leader Taylor (Twilight). He took over for her when she joined the elite for and currently keeps the Ponytaville library clean. Though there is tad more comic books found within the shelves then when Taylor was in charge.

Library and Gym: with his main druddigon

Main team: Druddigon, Garchomp, Dracapult, Baxcalibur, Turtonator

Gym 7

Stella

Dark specialist: Lives in a far away town near the edges of Equestria. She is Taylor's student and friend who goes around equestria spreading Taylors teachings and helping those in need. She runs a school for Pokemon trainers.

Pokemon school and gym: with her main Absol

Main team: Absol, Weavile, Drapion, Grimsnarl, Zoroark

Gym 8:

Summer

A fire specialist: Lives near Canterlot as a scientist and researcher. She trained under Champion Celeste (Celestia), and became friends with Taylor soon after, she studies and researches interdimensional travel. Trying to harness both science and Pokemon power to do so. She has succeeded in doing so and makes contact with this other world regularly.

Research lab and gym: with her main Delphox

Main team: Delphox, Volcarona, Armarouge, Flareon, Rapidash

First drawing of Venci. More about his design below.

In Blaze’s arc (the Armarouge drawn) he just lost his eye and has a huge scar on his chest thanks to Shade (his brother.) when he was in the hospital bed thinking about the event that just happened, he thought to himself that he regretted not telling his true feeling to Venci sooner. He had a childhood crush on Venci and never told him about his feelings before he joined a guild and moved away to the kingdom.

I want a character that would represent a bright future for Blaze after he just lost his eye and got retraumatized again. At first I tried to use a Lucario (if you looked at my older drawings you would see Blaze with a lucario)

but when it actually came down to designing Venci I was struggling. I tried making the lucario shiny, not shiny, making it look different etc but nothing seemed to be working. I even tried a Leavanny and cinderace but hated all the results.

I was starting to hate this character of Venci before he even had a designed, he didn’t look right to me no matter what I did, then my friend suggested I use a Roserade. At first I scoffed at the idea of using a Roserade but after some convincing from my friend I did a Roserade. these were the first drawings.

After these drawings it all started to click.

I was pretty shocked with how good he looked right off the bat. I altered his colors a little bit and this is how we have the Venci today.

Let's look deeper in his design, as said before I wanted a character that would represent a good future for Blaze after what he went through. I choose to give Venci red and yellow roses instead of red and blue roses like most roserades. Depending on the roses colors they represent something. The obvious one and most well known is the red roses representing love, at some point in the story Blaze confesses his feeling to Venci and they start dating. The yellow roses represent friendship, joy, excitement and love at first sight, since blaze fell in love with Venci when Venci evolved into a roselia. I guess the yellow roses could represent Blaze's childhood and his feelings on Venci. You could even say Venci's hair flower could also represent bringing peace and new beginnings, starting over and rebirth. (it could also rep for love as will lol)

Now to explain the meowscarada features. Venci is NOT a fusion in fact, he just has features of a meowscarada because his father is a meowscarada. The reasons why I made him a catboy is more of a personal one, when my childhood pets all passed it was like starting a new life. Someone in my life passed, I moved states with my stepdad and sorta started life over again. When my parents got a new cat it sorta felt like a clear slip between my old childhood life and my adult life. In a way having a cat-like character to represent a new future for a character who was recently traumatized sorta mirrors my real life. That's why I made Venci a catboy is because to me, a cat represents an end and new beginnings.

Now for his name, originally Venci was going to be named fanny but my friend didn't like that name and i couldn't come up with anything better so they did some research and found Vinci roses, they are roses that can only be yellow and red and I thought they were super fitting. It also sounded cooler so i kept the name.

When I first drew Venci as a lucario he was originally was going to be a happy go lucky type guy, but after drawing him as a roserade and giving him this stupid face his personally was cemented.

He became an egotistical dumbass who is a big flirt and is too cocky for his own good. He may be good at battling but he ignores his limits and that results in him losing battles thinking he can take on stronger pokemon. He's very silly but he dose things with good intent but sometimes pushes himself due to his ego. He could have some character development where he isn't as egoistical and self centered. His ego also makes him think he can't fail at any guild missions. For awhile he hasn't failed at a guild mission until he meet Penelope who was the first pokemon he wasn't able to get captured. This sylveon was fucking with him and no matter what she always slips through getting away and making him fail his mission and seeing himself as a failure.

TLDR: Venci was a dogboy but now is a catboy and i think that's fucked up.

The Legend of the Glowering White Grimmsnarl

Crow's Tickletober Days 3 (full moon), 9 (payback for a scare), 18 (camping), AND 28 (woods/forest)

Warning: Tickle fic! And mild cursing.

After a long day of adventuring, you and Arven settle in for the night. Rather than the comfort of your dorm room, however, he takes you camping and shares some interesting folklore.

“There! All set!” Arven stated proudly, having finished pitching the tent, your and his sleeping quarters for the evening.

“You know, we probably could have made it back to the dorms before dark,” you mentioned, “so we wouldn’t have had to camp out here all night.”

“Even so,” Arven replied, crossing his arms, as if he were disappointed in you saying such a thing, “now we can cook over an open flame, which will always make food taste better!”

“Did it have to be in Tagtree Thicket though? At dusk?” You looked around the forest and noted how dark it was getting already, the trees no help as their leaves and branches shielded much of the sunlight from the ground below them.

“Aw, you scared, little buddy?” Arven cooed, half-teasing, half-concerned, messing your hair. You never asked him to fill this big brother type role, he just kind of inserted himself there: always making sure your team was healed after Titan battles, feeding Miradon, looking out for you in general while never losing sight of his own mission.

“N-no!” You swatted his hand away, “I just know the Mimikyu and Impidimps come out more at night.” Arven released Mabosstiff, as he usually does when you two took time to rest.

“We’ve fought nearly all the Titan pokemon, we’ll be fine! And besides, it’s your first time camping out here, yeah? I plan on giving you the full experience!” You rolled your eyes, kneeling down to build and start a proper campfire… giving up shortly after rubbing sticks together and seeing no sparks. You ended up releasing your Armarouge and asking it to help light the fire.

“Thanks, Armarouge. Since you’re out already, do you want to enjoy the full experience of camping with us?” you asked, with air quotes. The pokemon nodded curtly and sat close to you. It was familiar with Arven from fighting alongside his team in Titan battles and enjoyed his and Mabosstiff’s company. Arven chuckled at your sass.

“Just wait. Now that there’s finally a fire going, I can start cooking!” You noted Arven pulling out his supplies, though it didn’t look like he was preparing sandwiches this time. You watched him retrieve a small pot and rice from his bag, along with several other ingredients and spices. He was too zoned-in on his craft to notice your confusion, so you merely watched him work. He didn’t use measuring utensils, but was still meticulous about which ingredients and how much he used, his concentration not faltering once.

“I wonder if his face will freeze like that,” you commented out loud, mostly to yourself, but your Armarouge heard and seemed to be amused.

“Aaaand, done!” Arven announced, presenting to you and Armarouge with a bowl of curry before sitting down across from you with his own and Mabosstiff’s serving.

“Not your usual, Arven,” you pointed out, blowing on a spoonful to cool it off.

“Yeah, I went outside the box for your first camping trip. You’re welcome, little buddy.” Arven mused, clearly proud of himself. “Curry is super popular in the Galar region. If they can do it, so can I.” And he did it well, as he usually did with all things cooking. You’d never tasted a meal of his that you didn’t enjoy.

“You REALLY outdid yourself this time, Arven. I might not be able to go back to sandwiches after this,” you teased, and Armarouge murmured in agreement.

“Don’t get too used to it, some of these ingredients are from Galar, and they weren’t cheap. But you’ve helped us out a lot so… I’m happy to.” Your teasing smirk turned to a genuine smile, looking at your friend and his companion pokemon. While Mabossiff was still in no shape to battle, he was leaps and bounds better than when you first met him.

Arven looked up toward the sky and grinned. “How fitting, the moon is full. You know what that means, don’t you?” You and Armarouge set your empty bowls down and looked at Arven quizzically.

“I guess not. Well, I promised the full experience, and no camping trip would be complete without telling you the Legend of the Glowering White Grimmsnarl.”

You couldn’t help yourself: you burst in cackles. “Thahat sounds ridiculous!”

“I’m serious!”

“Okhahay, okay, please enlighten us,” you settled, nudging your Armarouge that was making breathy sounds that could be interpreted as chuckles.

“With pleasure,” he began, his stoic demeanor on the subject only weakening your ability to keep a straight face.

“The legend tells of a Morgrem, shunned by its fellow Morgrem and Impidimps for having white hair instead of black. Its white hair was so bright, even at night, that it was always seen by both predator and prey, making hunting difficult and risking the safety of its herd. One day, it was chased out of its herd, forced to wander Tagtree Thicket all on its own.”

Your chortles and looks of amusement faded, letting yourself be immersed in the story. Armarouge placed a protective hand on your shoulder and scanned the forest around you.

“The Morgrem fended for itself pretty well, considering the odds against it. That is, until one night, there was a huge, bright, full moon, a lot like this one, actually.” You looked up, and even through the trees you could tell the moon was at its full glory, and seemed huge in the sky.

“The moonlight was so brilliant that night, that the Morgrem’s hair appeared to radiate with it. But it had no more food in its shelter, and had to go looking for more. That’s when a gang of Spidops ambushed it.” You felt yourself scoot closer to your Armarouge.

“It was no match for the horde of Spidops, not by itself. And just when it thought it couldn’t take anymore, a huge glow enveloped the entire thicket. The neighboring town’s residents at the time swore it was as bright as daylight in the middle of the night. Turns out, it was the Morgrem, evolving into the biggest, strongest, and nastiest snow-white Grimmsnarl ever known. Not only did it fight off the Spidops, it found its old herd and drove them completely out of the thicket in a terrifying rage, along with any other pokemon that got in its way. So from then on, the Grimmsnarl’s white hair was no longer a give-away, but a warning to the pokemon and trainers that wander in the forest. Especially when the moon is full, since it's said that’s where it draws its unfathomable strength. And, if somehow you miss its brilliant white hair in the moonlight, there is no mistaking its guttural, earth-shattering cry…”

“GRRROOOOAAAAARRR!”

You latched onto Armarouge and elicited a frightened, piercing scream, while Armarouge, holding you steady with one arm, readied the other one to defend against what it thought was going to be a gigantic white Grimmsnarl. However, after a beat you heard Arven breaking into hysterics, and opened your eyes to see not a gigantic white Grimmsnarl, but a Toedscruel. More specifically, Arven’s Toedscruel, walking back to his trainer, making a deep chuckling sound along the way.

“ARVEN! YOU SCARED THE HELL OUT OF US!” He almost didn’t hear your scolding over his own laughter.

“Ithihihit was sohohoho gohohohod! Youho should hahave seen your fahahace!” You huffed, feeling your face flush.

“Aww, come ohohon, little buddy,” he said, starting to calm down, returning Toedscruel to its pokeball, “Scary stories are camping staples! And the moon is full, I couldn’t waste a perfect opportunity!” You sighed as your heart rate returned to a normal pace.

“Okay, okay, you had your fun, I’ll take your apology now,” you spat, still in a pout. Arven, seeing this, chuckled again.

“I’m not apologizing, it was a story! That’s what you do when you go camping!” You glared at him, knowing he meant no harm, and was just having a laugh at your expense. Well, if it's a laugh he wanted…

“Don’t make me make you apologize, Arven!”

“Oooh, I’m soooo scared,” Arven mocked, “What are you gonna do, call the white Grimmsnarl on me?”

“I don’t need the white Grimmsnarl,” you stated, “I have Armarouge.” You looked past Arven, who was confused for a moment before your ever-loyal pokemon grabbed his arms and pinned them behind him. Arven jumped, obviously never noticing Armarouge creep over, and tried to stand and break its grip, but Armarouge wasn’t one of your strongest team members for nothing.

You stood and strode over menacingly, fingers taking the form of claws. Arven seemed to get it now, and struggled a bit more spastically.

“N-now little buddy, let’s not be hasty, it was all in fun, wasn’t it?”

“Oh, it certainly was, we liked your story for sure, right Armarouge?”

“Ar, mar,” it replied, tightening its grip on Arven. You reached Arven and placed your “claws” on Arven’s already shaking belly, an involuntary smile starting to form across his features.

“But if it was a laugh you wanted, you could have just asked.”

“Th-that’s nohohot what I said- hehehehe, nohohoho lihihittle buddy!” He giggled, as you wasted no time gently scribbling and skittering your fingers along the young chef’s midsection, a yelp escaping after you slipped a hand under his shirt to reach his bare belly.

“Wahahahait, nohohoho!” Arven gasped, still trying to free himself from Armarouge’s grip. You looked up to your companion pokemon, and could tell it was just as amused as you were.

“Should a cook’s stomach be so sensitive?” You teased, watching your friend’s reactions, and still futile attempts to keep his composure. “You’d think a cook would need a hardened stomach, since you eat all kinds of different food.” At that, you skittered in and around Arven’s belly button, to which his laughter positively boomed and kicked his legs out, almost kicking you.

“LIHIHIHITTLE BUDDEEEHEHEHE! NOHOHOHOT THEHEHEHEHERE!” He thrashed, but Armarouge held firm, even when Arven’s head was thrown back against its chest in ticklish agony.

“Not where, heeeere?” You dragged, wiggling a finger in his belly button while your other hand still scurried up and down his sides.

“NAHAHAHAHA, DOHOHOHON’T! BWAHAHAHA!” If there were smaller, curious pokemon close by, Arven’s boisterous laughter probably scared them off.

“Shhh! Arven! The Glowering White Grimmsnarl will hear you!” You continued to torment, backing off of his weakest point to instead test another spot against your ticklish grip, suddenly squeezing the tops of his knees. His booming laugher calmed to a bubbly cackle, which was honestly quite adorable.

Now that you thought about it, you had only just recently begun to see Arven smile, due to the hopefulness he had for his companion. Oh, Mabosstiff! You turned and realized he was watching the whole interaction, tail wagging in approval. Arven followed your gaze to his dear friend.

“Mahahahabosstiff! Dohohoho somethihihing!” And, at his trainer’s command, he did get up to do something. That something being nuzzling his snout in Arven’s ribs.

“NOHOHOT WHAT I MEANT! MAHAHAHABOSSTIFF, NOHOHO!”

“I think he likes seeing your smile! You don’t do it enough, you know,” you “scolded,” and Mabosstiff offered a “rrrruff” in Arven’s underarm as if to agree. This only deepened the blush on Arven’s face as his giggling somehow got more bubbly and boy-like, almost making you forget that he was actually your upperclassman.

“TRAHAHAHAITOR! BOHOHOTH OF YOU!” he sputtered, not trying too hard to escape Armarouge’s grip anymore, whether out of giving in or exhaustion, Armarouge couldn’t tell.

“Aaar, ma,” it said, in a tone you recognized as one of concern. You waved at Mabosstiff, getting his attention and ceasing his attack on his master’s ribs and underarms. Arven caught his breath as Armarouge continued to hold him for support.

“Are you good, Arven? I’ll take this over an apology any day,” you jested, Arven chuckling now of his own accord.

“You got me pretty good, little buddy, I’ll give you that. I’m okay, now, Armarouge. You can let go. I would thank you, except you’re also to blame.” Armarouge made that same breathy sound from earlier, recognized as a laugh, and walked back in your direction. Arven hunched over and rested one of his elbows on his knees, catching his breath. He had the other hand on Mabosstiff, patting the top of his head. He stood after a moment and looked at you, chuckling again and shaking his head.

“I’m going to bed. A monster worse than the white Grimmsnarl got to me. You’ll get yours, little buddy, you’ll see.”

“Sure, sure, whatever you say. I think I like this camping thing, but I’ll turn in, too. Maybe you can tell another story?”

“NO!”

1. Clefable 2. Armarouge 3. Zekrom

- Zekrom doesn’t so much belong to Vash, rather they are one in the same - The Ideals Pokemon is embodied within Vash’s immortal make, the two intertwined down to the core {they miss being complete, miss Knives and Tesla} - Vash found Clefable as a Cleffa, battered and spat at in a world as cruel as Gunsmoke - He tried to get it somewhere safer, somewhere with healed souls not prone to violence, but she was as attached to him as he was to her - They never parted ways and Cleffa grew into Clefable, keeping Vash together with a determination that rivalled Vash’s pacifism - Armarouge was Rai-Dei’s as a Charcadet, but it didn’t evolve into a Ceruledge like he wanted - It was cast aside immediately and left to fend for itself until it found Vash - “How can anybody look at Pokemon like you and turn you away? You’ve got some of the kindest eyes I’ve ever seen”

1. Gengar 2. Mightyena 3. Phantump

- He’s had Mightyena since it was a Poochyena - It was stand-offish and hurt, digging around behind his house when Wolfwood was only a boy - He gave it some food and hid it from his father, the two glued at the hip for long after the Eye of Michael took him - Gengar and him instantly bonded when Wolfie was out looking for Vash for the first time - He sat next to the pokemon, breathing out around a cigarette and said, “so people think you’re bad luck, huh?” a pause, stunned silence, and then “yeah, i get that” and the two continued on - Phantump followed him for days, so in awe that the man -despite shooing him away multiple times- was so gentle doing so - It begged to join Wolfwood’s team, begged and cried and clung - The man didn’t think he deserved something so precious - “I’m a terrible man, awful really. you should find someone else” It wouldn’t. “…Suit yourself”

- Meryl was given an egg from her parents as a child - The Minccino inside was small, like Meryl, and feisty. It bit at her fingers and spat like a Purrloin - Meryl didn’t give up, determined to prove to her parents she could raise her own Pokemon - She didn’t want to be handed a partner, if she was going to get anything in life it’d be by her own two hands and hard work - She defended the Pokemon until bullies and wild Pokemon mottled her skin more blue and purple than fair - Minccino didn’t see how it deserved that level of devotion and care, didn’t understand why Meryl would go that far - “We’re going to see the world together,” Meryl declared, bruised and scuffed, “We’re going to be amazing and we’ll do it together. I don’t want anyone else by my side!” - And Minccino knew right then and there that Meryl was its forever trainer

1. Conkelldur 2. Maushold

- Milly found Maushold as a Tandemous, her first ever encounter with a wild Pokémon - She only found one tho, of the pair, and Tandemous was so heartbrokenly devastated that Milly spent all night tracking down its missing half - “You have a family too, Mr. Tandemous?” she had asked, “There’s no greater thing, I think. I won’t rest until you’re back with yours!” - Milly and Tandemous never parted after that - Timburr was a lonely, lonely Pokemon - It lashed out, angry at the world for abandoning it and even angrier at itself for being so hurt over it - Milly is first and foremost a gentle soul and she knows loneliness when she sees it - Meryl doesn’t stop her, schedule be damned, from pursuing the new companion; she’s no hypocrite - Milly pours all her love into a hug for Timburr, every ounce of understanding she possesses goes out to it - No words are needed, the Insurance Girls carry on with a new companion at their side

Wolfwood isn’t made to be gentle. His sandpaper hands mark everything he touches with proof of his wake, his breath of nicotine and smoke choke out any beauty that could ring and grow. Nicholas D. Wolfwood is a soldier, an assassin for hire.

He’s not made for gentle love.

Not when he’s brushing through the thick fur of Mightyena to help her sleep, not when Gengar needs a little more reassurance that he’s not to blame for a bout of bad luck, and not when Phantump sleeps on his lap after a bad dream.

His hands are stained red. And they’re immune to being bleached by the kindness he’s been offered by his target, who stands tall in an equally as red coat.

They leave stains on the gentle people he’s been given. The girl with fire in her veins who rightfully distrusted him but still didn’t shy away, the girl with infinite love in her soul who- despite everything he’s confessed to- cups his face with her calloused hands when he comes home late, and the being with eyes as kind and timeless as a god Wolfwood wasn’t sure he actually believed in.

Love is when Vash’s Clefable clings to Gengar and Gengar to Clefable with all the love of two long separated souls reuniting.

Love is when Meryl’s Cinccino dusts off his suits and cuddles against him even when he’s filthy from his day.

Love is when Milly’s Maushold tucks themself into his pockets when he needs a little company.

And love is when his own Pokémon, hurt by the world and scorned, give themselves to the soft people he’s found.

Wolfwood’s not made to be gentle.

But- he thinks, looking at his new family- maybe he could learn to be

Here are some tips to help an Anon (who is new to the kin community) get closer to their Armarouge kintype!

The more you know about Armarouge, the better you can understand yourself and your connection to it. Look into its pokedex entry, moveset, and any anime or manga appearances it may have had. You can also explore fan theories and interpretations of the character. Bulbapedia is a great resource for this!

The kin community is all about finding others who share your experience. There are probably online forums or communities specifically for Pokemon kin, or even Armarouge kin! Look around on social media or do a Tumblr search for "Pokémon kin community"!

A great way to explore your kintype is through creative outlets. Try drawing Armarouge, writing stories from its perspective, or even creating cosplay armour.

What do you admire about yourself/Armarouge? Is it its strength, its loyalty, or its strategic mind? Try to incorporate these traits into your own life in a way that feels positive and authentic to you.

It takes time to develop your understanding of your kintype. Don't get discouraged if it doesn't happen overnight.

Since Armarouge is a blacksmith Pokemon, you might enjoy learning more about metalworking or blacksmithing in general. There might be classes or workshops you can take, or you could even try your hand at some simple metalworking projects at home.

Armarouge is a master strategist. If you find yourself drawn to strategy games or puzzles, that could be a way to connect with this aspect of your kintype!

Ok but.... Pokemon. What if pokemons were real and everyone would have they own team (maybe not 6, but 2/3). I MEAN GHOST TYPE WOULD BE SO GOOD. Also i cannot unsee at least one assassin having Nickit! It's pokedex entry has written that they are very silent and It erases they own tracks with swipes of its tail. THAT IS STEALTH. Also thievul can marks they targets with scent that help them stalks it. Like the bird in newer games. (Sorry for my english!)

I am totally unqualified to make Pokemon teams for AC characters as I have only finished one Pokemon game: Red. I am soooo unfamiliar with all the Pokemons (hell, I don’t even know what gen we are now???). I mean, I played Black, X, and Let’s Go Eevee but I never finished them. XD

So all I can offer you is this:

Desmond gets booted into Detective Pikachu AU idea

And these unorganized notes:

Whatever Pokemons Desmond gets, he must have an Eevee that does not evolve at all. This is to represent his endless possibility. The only possible Eevee evolution I think we should allow is Sylveon because we all know he’s going to spoil that Eevee. Two other possible Pokemons he could have are a CastForm that forever stays sunny whenever near Desmond (and is really more like a pet and doesn’t go to battle) or a Solgaleo. Just… give him a sun-themed Pokemon for the irony.

Going with the Eevee idea, his ancestors all have one specific Eevee evolution. Edward would have a Vaporeon, of course. Altaïr would either have Espeon (a reference to the psychic-like powers of the Apple) or a Jolteon (pokemon.com has Jolteon as the fatest of the Eevee evolutions). Ratonhnhaké:ton would have Leafeon or Jolteon if Altaïr has Espeon. Ezio would have Flareon (because I am mean and making this a Cappadocia reference, sorry Ezio). Haytham would have a Glaceon or an Umbreon. (Or, if we’re killing off Edward anyway, give Haytham Edward’s Vaporeon)

Altaïr would definitely be the cover-all basis type of trainer so, yeah, he’d have 6 Pokemons of various types (some even dual types).

Considering Nickit’s habit of stealing, I can see Edward or Ezio having a Nickit.

Honestly, all of them having a Thievul might make sense. Like they’re an unknown shadowy organization that’s known for (1) wearing hoods, (2) having Thievul and some kind of (3) Ghost-type Pokemon on their team.

I think Mary should have a Gardevoir and that Gardevoir stays with Edward after her death (I mean, if Mary dies in this one. I’m not saying we should kill Mary, just saying…)

Evie and Jacob having Nidoqueen and Nidoking would be funny. Like… their father gave them the Nidorans as their starter Pokemons. Even funnier is if Evie has the Nidoking while Jacob has the Nidoqueen. Or, if you want them to have newer Pokemons, they both received a Charcadet when they were young and Jacob’s evolved to Armarouge while Evie’s evolved to Ceruledge. Just, they should have one Pokemon that’s like different evolutions of the same Pokemon (or opposite of the other’s Pokemon).

I think Shay should have a Froslass as a reference to how Rogue lets you travel to icy parts and how the last parts are set in an icy location (not counting France).

I can’t explain why but I think Arno should have a Greninja and they’d be a tag-team.

Of course, Eivor gets a Corviknight.

I honestly like the idea that Desmond, Altaïr, Ezio, and Ratonhnhaké:ton all have an Alcremie because someone got them to twirl around and strike a pose to evolve their Milcery… who records the entire thing. (I’m betting it’s Edward. It has to be Edward)

Minerva appears as a Gothitelle. Hell, she could be pretending to be Desmond’s Gothitelle. Idk, Gothitelle can predict the future (or just the lifespan of the trainer?), it sounds right that Minerva is Gothitelle or something.

I have this conundrum. I kinda like the idea of Altaïr, Ezio, and Ratonhnhaké:ton having distinct Pokemons related to one another. Now, my first thought would be they would each have Kanto starter Pokemons to show how they’re the first main characters of Assassin’s Creed. Or, you know, they would have the legendary birds of Gen 1 instead to show their legendary status. But, at that point, I thought, why not just give them the Raikou, Entei, and Suicune setup from the Detective Pikachu AU? At some point, my brain goes why don’t they just have a Deoxys each with Desmond having a normal form, Altaïr getting the speed form, Ezio getting the defense form and Ratonhnhaké:ton getting the attack form?

And that’s when my brain gave up and went “Fuck it, give Desmond Arceus. Lol.”

This took too long to do. Not excusable given my lack of skill lol.

A young knight's trial.

I didn't think going to my GP would be any different than the last few times I've been. Then again I didn't have the two best little knights back then, other than Bandit who was a Ralts at the time. It also never occurred to me this appointment of mine would be rather stressful for the juvenile Armarouge either.

Traffic was light and conditions were dry and sunny which was a pleasant change over the winter weather the past few months. Spring was starting and I welcomed its arrival. After parking up and fetching the two young Pokemon from the car we made our way to the surgery entrance. Armarouge hesitated before following us through the doorway, his sister didn't share his concerns. She immediately greeted the receptionist by beeping and waving her little blades about. This got a series of awwws from the staff there before I took their focus away.

"Lil sweetie ain't she?" I greeted the receptionist before giving my details. The receptionist having updated the system invited me to take a seat in the waiting room after some light banter. Ceru seized the opportunity to go and say hello to everyone in said waiting room, and get her harness lead snagged on the furniture.

My time waiting to be seen by the GP would be spent untangling Ceru from various pieces of furniture and keeping her attention off the toys meant for kids by distracting the little blade Pokemon with one of her own. This toy had been a victim of Ceru's antics before, but this time for some reason she was particularly aggressive to the Snorlax plush. Rolling around with it trapped in her grasp, kicking and knawing at it, growling lightly as she bullied the helpless plush.

"You shouldn't let him do that" an elderly voice spoke. Breaking whatever train of thought had began to form from witnessing Ceru's more aggressive playing. "What?"

"That" the elderly voice spoke again. It belonged to a concerned looking woman. "You shouldn't let him make a racket" nope, not a concerned individual sadly. "If she gets too loud I'll stop her" I replied, not caring for the other's attitude. The elderly woman tried to start conflict with me but I wasn't taking the bait. During the attempted argument, Ceru had stopped her playing and was looking between myself and the elderly individual. Seemingly confused about the situation before her attention shifted to her brother.

Her brother was quite ever since entering the clinic. This wasn't his usual quiet, no he was unsettled. And I failed to notice this until Ceru waddled over to presumably comfort him.

My GP opened the door separating the waiting room to her office and called my name. It was then that I noticed something was off with Armarouge. "C'mon you two." I beckoned the little knights to follow as my GP lead us away to her office. A small conversation was started about both tiny Ceruledge and Armarouge.

Thinking this would be a good opportunity to get the little Pokémon used to being handled by others. I asked my GP to give them a general health check. It would do Ceru and Arma good. I was first to get looked over with Ceru watching me. I had my weight and blood pressure measured among other such tests. Ceru was eager to go next thinking this was all fun and games. She chirped happily while my GP pretended to do the same.

Then it was Armarouge's turn.

"OK now" the General practitioner spoke softly before stopping abruptly. Armarouge had buried his head in my side and held out his arm. He already knew what to do. And it was then I finally realised why he was so scared.

"Armarouge?... oh for the love of-how did I not realise this sooner?"

"Realise what?"

Glancing between the scared juvenile knight trying to hide himself and my GP. I explained how we first met.

"Its the clinic. It reminds him of the day he was surrendered".

I could see my doctor's heart sink at that detail. Although she didn't have Pokémon, she loved them just as much as everyone else. That much was plain to see.

"Armarouge here was left in a Pokémon centre. The clinic obviously isn't one. But to him it looks, sounds and smells like one..." looking down at the timid knight I caught sight of him at the verge of tears. "I'm so sorry wee lad".

"You're a very brave boy Armarouge" the GP added, gently holding his hand. "I don't think you need any tests done. You look healthy to me. And you want to go home don't you?"

Armarouge turned to look at her, trying his best not to cry. He simply nodded.

"Then I better get you two back home shouldn't I? You two have been very good! That deserves a treat." This got a weak chirp from Armarouge and, not surprisingly, an excited response from Ceru.

Choosing not to spend any more time than was necessary for Armarouge's sake. We got everything sorted and left.

This was quite a trial for the juvenile knight.
