god could you imagine if people focused on the actual golden boy getting like twice as much content as his fellow companions rather than like 2 new lines for one bad guy to make one scene feel more in line with the one other scene with said bad guy

15: Favorite one-on-one conversation (can be between two PCs, or a PC and NPC).
Caleb and Fjord in episode 62, Domestic Respite. That has been my favorite conversation since I first heard it and it still is. Caleb's "We can remake ourselves into something better" is, to me, the thesis of what the Mighty Nein campaign is about. That is The Ultimate conversation for me.
I do want to shout out Beau and Caleb's one-on-one in episode 57 though, too, because I do genuinely love that conversation and how it so viscerally feels like a turning point in their relationship and the campaign as a whole. Also Beau saying "You don't have to thank me for my time like you're a social worker" and then giving Caleb just a really long awkward hug lives in my head rent free
30: What is your favorite theory or headcanon that has absolutely no bearing on the plot and isn't important at all, but which is completely compliant with canon?
Okay as far as I am aware, this is canon compliant and if it's not don't tell me let me live in it, but it's "Eshteross is Fjord's dad." I have tethered myself to that theory. I am it's cheerleader. The only one who can take this from me is Matt
5: Meta you would write if you did not fear people would be SUPER weird about it. This is also an invitation to write that meta and block the haters.
Oh boy. there's quite a few honestly. But first that comes to mind is an expansion of that very brief (not maintagged) post I made exploring why Imogen has frustrated me as a character and despite wanting to like her, I really just find myself unable to connect with her. In conjunction with this, I think there is something to be said about Imogen and Laudna's relationship holding each other back from developing more. Something about the way they always reach for each feels like a stagnation of their developments that just leaves me wishing we could see them interact with more members of the group more often or to, honestly, see their codependency come up as a topic/be addressed in canon or sever more than it has to date.
It's like you know that conversation Nott and Caleb had in c2e46: Caleb said, "lately, I've gotten a little wrapped up in the group. I've forgotten about us. I've forgotten." And that's an interesting character beat! It'd be something different from the same homogeneity that their relationship has been dawdling in. The rock fight is the most interesting thing that's happened between them and that didn't even get all that heated or really change anything! Like not to abandon all attempts at maintaining a formal discussion on the topic, but I am emotionally poking their relationship with a stick saying "do something already"
okay. that felt good to get out. now ANOTHER THING
Honestly, I feel like a very long meta could be written about the way that fandom had pigeonholed Veth a "Mother" that doesn't actually leave room for her to be a person. I have seen so many people boil down her character to nothing more than a "mom," as if that's a character trait and not just something that she is. Like, yeah, she IS a mom. But "mom" isn't a personality and I don't know why the fandom treats it like one, and then goes so far as to continually behave like Veth is not just Luc's mom but Caleb's too, which she has not only repeatedly said she is NOT, but has openly and canonically admitted to having romantic/sexual attraction to him to the point where I'm like.......what do you think mothers are like? And that's not even about shipping. Shipping goggles are off, friends. That's about ignoring canon and vital character details that contribute to Veth's overall character arc that are willfully forgotten. And man, does that grind my gears.
Okay that's probably enough salt (this got long, sorry) and I can't think of anything off the top of my head for 11, but if something comes up I might add it.

so i created a little Danny Phantom AU. If ur unfamiliar w/ DP, it's basically a young lad named Daniel Fenton gets zapped by a ghost portal and half-died and is a superhero named Danny Phantom. How nobody knows he's Phantom remains a mystery.
anyway you may be thinking "Oh, obviously Dev's gonna make Michael half-die and be a ghost superhero because in canon-" BUT YOU'D BE WRONG!!!
In fact, Jeremy is the halfa. Michael actually takes the place of Sam Manson, and he gets to be goth. As a treat <3.
So Jeremy half-dies and dons the ghost persona "Mangle". I'm so creative right guys. It's one in the morning cut me some slack ok

i don’t. know how i feel about. how do i put this. i do not know how to feel about the sudden utter turn on dreansnp (<- the usual misspelling to avoid maintagging) like i. feel like suddenly everyone has decided to hate everything about it very fast. it's odd.
don't get me wrong i do understand the general gist of why this is a thing (even though to me it still. kinda feels like there's not enough information to make a call. i am not in the fandom tho) but it's also so bewildering. a couple months ago i was memeing about how dominion members should have gotten to go to utah. now it's. um. it's different.
i feel weird about... well, we've had plans for a tftsmp:the maze rewrite-ish thing for a while now, bc tales is kind of the only dreansnp thing we watched? and like yeah i know maze didn't have the guy everyone hated in the Maze Plot specifically but it still. feels weird to have been like "yeah i'm going to write a zero escape inspired take on The Maze" when. yaknow.
idk man i'm just genuinely here like. damn. i'm sorry this is happening to y'all. i'm not gonna plug my obscure smps here or whatever in light of that, i think that's kind of insensitive to the situation, i'm sorry this happened. i was a car boys fan. i get it.

I mean... okay so this person seems to have figured out that the thing anarchists care about is coercive power / power over others, but what they haven't seem to have figured out is that not every form of power or influence constitutes a "government". Governments are a SPECIFIC form of coercive power. Big name fans, Twitch mods and such aren't "governments".
Also I mean.. I guess this is an interesting topic for a debate but I don't actually know if any of these really count since having lots of followers, while it does undeniably give you power and influence, I don't know if it's actually the kind of power and influence that could reasonably be abolished. Or even if it should be, because while it IS often harmful and should be critiqued, I don't think it's actually comparable to systemic power.
As for mods, I'm up for debate on this but IMO Twitch chats are the personal property of the streamer and I do think people have the right to have an enforce rules on their personal property, like if the worst punishment is just that you get banned, that's just revoking your access to something that wasn't a public good in the first place. You're not being deprived of anything essential or anything you have a right to. Nobody has the obligation to let other people ruin their chat. That's not to say that mods can't abuse their power or that it's not worth being critical of, but again: not comparable to systemic power. Then again the streamer might exploit mods for labour, because the mods help the streamer gain wealth, but often aren't paid themselves from what I understand?
The wiki stuff I'm not gonna comment on bc I don't think I know enough about that topic.
Oh yeah and fandoms in general are just way too decentralised to be considered in anyway comparable to states with "governments". IMO fandoms are in fact pretty damn anarchic actually. And even when someone tries to take over a fandom it generally doesn't go all that well for them because people resent that kind of thing and if they don't want to engage with a specific fandom community they can always go elsewhere. And while people might be able to control a wiki or a subreddit or whatever, NOBODY can control Tumblr or Twitter lmao
I dunno if I'm making any sense here, I just woke up from a nap and I haven't exactly thought about these topic all that hard. Don't take any of this too seriously. And I'm definitely not maintagging this nonsense lol
