Its Been A Long Time Since I Had A Finished Object.
Here is The Mulberry Ear Warmer by Crazy Hands Knitting. I used size U.S. 10 (6 mm) 14" straight needles by Boye. The yarn is Knit Picks Brava Bulky in the Peapod color way.
The ear warmer is 19.5 " (49 cm) long, sewn together to form a twist. It doesn't look stretchy, but it will stretch to fit a wide range of sizes.
Today I had an appointment out of town. Me and my mom, while we were there, went to a thrift store and I got a whole walmart bag full of fabric for THREE DOLLARS!!! TOTAL!!!!! also I got a crap ton of yarn, which was $28 total. epic 👍
It'd be a lie to say that I haven't seen some Fall/Halloween countdowns happening around here... and it'd be an even bigger life if I said I'm not one of those people counting it down (or really, that I'm always thinking of Fall-like-things...)
Every year people talk about Christmas in July and because I'm a dork I like to consider June sort of a Halloween in June sort of a thing. It's never really taken off, but you know what -- I still consider it because that's just the type of person I am!
So -- what's on the menu as far as Harvest Yarns goes? Well for starters -- we have these mini pumpkins here that you can make yourself in just about every color combination you feel like making them in. The pattern is free and can be found: here
But also be on the look out for another pattern that is on the way -- a Jack Skellington gnome, that can be made in plenty of different yarn weights/sizes. I'm just editing the pattern a bit more and then it will be released!
Once again thanks for checking out my art/content as well as sharing it across multiple platforms -- and especially to those that have been subscribing to my YouTube Channel. It really means a lot to me!
If you're a Fall/Halloween/Jack Skellington fan be sure to share this post or if you're just into Fiber Art that'd be wonderful, too.
I'm knitting the mulberry knit ear warmer. I'm using size U.S. 10 (6mm) 14" straight needles. I'm using Knit Picks Brava Bulky in the color Peapod. I cast on 22 stitched instead of 20. The extra two stitches are for the selvedge edge. The pattern is a double seed stitch, or Irish moss stitch. I'll sew it together so that it forms a twist.
