Hello Dear! For my very first post i would like to define exactly what I will be posting and my rules.

I will be posting drabbles, scenarios, and reactions. Writing is mainly the point of this blog, but I’m definitely open to discussing topics like culture, politics, fashion, but not that often. I also will only post in English. It seems simpler to just post in one language, but you can request things and talk to me in another language, as long as it’s one I understand(see my bio). Also, because there is a pretty big chance of me posting nsfw content, I want NO MINORS to be interacting with NSFW content.

hii i had an idea for a corpse fic (: how about reader and corpse are together and they’re playing an among us game with the gang but Xqc is also playing and being really toxic and he starts yelling at Y/n so corpse because defensive and defends her ( protective corpse asf ) “don’t talk to my girl like that” and the rest of the lobby agrees with corpse. ? a/n: hehe! Hi nonnie! Thank you for being my first request <3 I absolutely loved writing it and I hope you enjoy reading. Don’t be shy! Feel free to request they make me so happy and I enjoy writing them very very much <3 I’m not to good at writing for among so if this is trash you know why-

“Y/n and corpse are cheaters.” Rae stated when everyone’s characters were spawned back to the lobby. You laughed shaking your head. Corpse chuckled. “Hey. It’s not our fault you guys believe us every time.” You told the call.

“Your alibis are always just so damn believable.” Toast responded. You smiled looking over at your streaming chat. All the comments saying if they weren’t watching you they’d believe your alibi too. “Hey guys I’m gonna add xQc since we have a spot to fill.”

Everyone agreed before an orange character spawned and someone also joined the call. “Yo yo yo.” A mans voice sounded through your headphones. You cringed at the choice of words before saying a hello deciding to be polite.

“Let’s get this starteddddd!” The same voice yelled. Poki mumbled something no one in the call could hear before staring the game.

The big blue screen appeared on your screen signaling you were a crewmate. You sighed. You weren’t a good crewmate mostly because you stayed on cams the whole time causing everyone to call you sus. After you were loaded in you took the hallway to go do your electric task hoping you didn’t die.

“Stopp guys that not funny if I die, I’ll literally cry.” You joked after reading the chat comments everyone saying electrical was cursed and you were bound to die choosing to go there first. After going into electrical and doing you did your wiring task you left to go finish the task off before a body was reported.

“Where was it?” Sykkuno asked.

“Navigation.” Jack responded. “I saw Pewds coming from Nav.” Poki told everyone.

Felix gasped and started listing off all the reasons why he isn’t the impostor. After everyone said who was were, no one believed Felix and he was ejected.

Once you had completed most of your task a meeting was called by xQc. “What’s up?” Rae asked. “Y/n what was the last task you did?” he questioned. You raised an eyebrow. “Um upper engine about to do lower engine.. why?”

The boy hummed clearly not buying your innocence. “Funny because I’m pretty sure I just saw you kill Pink in security.” You titled your head wondering why he was accusing you of being the impostor when you did more than one visual task.

“I never went into cams...” . He scoffed and you could hear the murmurs of the others on the call. “That’s what any impostor would say, but your just so damn dumb everyone will believe you.”

Everyone's voice started overlapping telling him that, that was out of line and he should never say something like that to someone. xQcs’ voice started getting louder trying to talk over everyone as if they would side with him.

“Bro don’t fucking talk to my girlfriend like that.” Corpses voice stated sternly causing everyone but the one who started the argument to pipe down.

“I’ll talk to anyone the way I’d like.” You bit your lip not knowing what to say. You were a seemingly shy person around others except your friends and your boyfriend and sticking up for yourself wasn’t your strong suit.

“No you will not. And especially not to a woman.” Everyone in the call agreed with corpse causing xQc to scoff once again. “I think it’s time for you to go.” Rae told him before kicking him from the call and from the game as well.

why is mo ran your fav web novel character😌

Ooof, this one is hard.

Some of it is unanswerable - there is just something that resonates for me with him the way no other web novel character (and very few actual novel characters) have done, same with 2ha. I don't know why 2ha just lives in me when no other web novel does (including Meatbun's own Yuwu and CFC - I loved them and wept over them but once I finished Yuwu (and will finish CFC), I put it on a favorite list and move on.)

But I think in addition to being so complex (monster and hero, torturer and victim), he just feels like a real person to me, the way no way any other web novel protagonist does (including even Chu Wanning. I adore CWN but he is very much a character, same for Mo Xi x Gu Mang of Yuwu, or He Yu x XQC of CFC or any other mains of my favorites.) Mo Ran does not feel that way, he feels the way an actual person would. Inside all the epic arcs and alternate universes and multiple personalities and whatever else, this is a guy you can imagine walking by you at a bar. He lives and breathes.

Yes, there is the meticulous character arc - I love the miracle Meatbun achieves of redeeming him slowly and painfully and without letting the reader forget what horrific things he must be redeemed for - this is a man who is believable as the unhinged pitiable monster of 0.5 and the tragic hero of 2.0 (and yet he's never perfectly good or evil - even at his best, he can be petty and selfish and even at his worst he can long and be lost), only letting you know he does not need redemption after he's achieved it.

But ultimately it all comes down to the fact that, for me, Mo Ran just walks off the page into reality the way no other web character did before or since.

"hey hey hey!" you said, joining the voice chat. it didnt take long for you to join the among us lobby either.

"welcome back, Y/N!" sykkuno said as you customized your little astronaut character. "would you like to put on the leaf and match with me?"

"of course, sykkuno!" you smiled as you exited the menu and walked over to him with your leaf hat.

"is everyone ready?" toast asked, and there was a jumble of replies saying 'yes.' with that, the game started.

the words 'crewmate' popped up on your screen and a sigh of frustration escaped your mouth. you were really hoping to start off the stream with an imposter round, but not this time.

the round went by as a blur, just walking around doing tasks, and soon enough 2 people were dead. leaving you with 5 crewmates and 2 imposters.

"I think I know who-" sykkuno tried to talk but he was interrupted by a few people.

"I THINK ITS RAE." toast yelled, and rae instantly voted.

"THAT MEANS ITS TOAST! I WAS MEDBAY SCANNED BY..." she stopped. "the dead people..."

"guys i-" sykkuno was interrupted again, and this time you noticed.

"SO THERE'S NO ONE TO PROVE YOU SCANNED, HUH?" toast smiled as he voted for rae. "GET HER OFF THIS SHIP-"

"NO. NO. EVERYONE SHUT THE FUCK UP." you yelled at all the people talking over sykkuno.

"YES SIR." tina said, raising her arm and doing a tiny salute in your honor.

"sykkuno, what were you gonna say?" you had a more gentle voice now as you were addressing sykkuno.

"o-oh!" sykkuno fixed his hair and smiled slightly. "its not important..."

"yes, sykkuno, it's important. what were you gonna say?" you asked again, in an even friendlier tone.

"well... I was gonna say I think its toast." sykkuno finally told you what he was going to say and you voted toast.

"GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME!" sean said, laughing maniacally as he voted.

"NO WAIT. IT MUST BE SYKKUNO AND RAE! VOTE RAE!!-" toast stopped himself as the votes were displayed and he was voted off.

the meeting ended and you were about to leave to finish your simon says when you heard sykkuno's voice.

"Y/N! wait up!" he said, running up to you. "I was looking for you last round. I have some info I want to tell you."

"you know who the other imposter is?" he responded with a hum. "bet!" you checked the surrounding area and stood on top of a vent with sykkuno.

he laughed nervously as you wiggled around, waiting for him to tell you, but all he did was enter the vent.

your breathing hitched as you saw that and you quickly walked off the vent. "what..." you whispered, circling around the vent. "did he just..."

"OH MY GOSH..." you heard sykkuno practically breath out. "I DIDNT MEAN TO... OH GOD..."

you laughed and contemplated whether or not you should call an emergency meeting. "are you gonna kill me now?" you asked.

"w-well... not unless I have to." he responded, finally hopping out of the vent and inching closer to you, hovering over the kill button.

"oh, dont worry, sykkuno, you dont have to." you smiled misheiviously. "lets go find some victims!" you walked away and had sykkuno trailing behind you.

you walked up on rae and leslie talking and you wiggled for sykkuno to follow you and hide just out of their sight so you could listen in.

he did just that, and stood on top of you in the doorway. of course, he could see them perfectly because of the imposter vision, but you couldn't...

"HEY!" rae said, turning in your direction. "THIS IS A PRIVATE CONVERSATION. Y/N AND SYKKUNO GET OUTTA HERE-"

"RAE HAS IMPOSTER VISION!" you yelled, running away, and when you went to vitals you found leslie was dead. great, now you had rae after you-

"Y/N?" you heard rae call out as she came into your vision. "why didnt you call a meeting to get me voted out?"

"I want sykkuno to win." you responded plainly, opening and closing vitals agin and again to see if there were any more deaths.

"simping?" she asked, and you responded saying yes. "I see. welp, bye bye." she walked away, leaving you on your own at vitals.

and that's how it stayed. soon enough, the game was over and rae and sykkuno were the winners. damn, they were good imposters.

"YES! GOOD JOB SYKKUWU!" you praised sykkuno, using the nickname your chat was spamming.

"s-sykkuwu?" sykkuno said, covering his mouth as he smiled. "um, well, thanks Y/N! couldn't have done it without you!"

"COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT ME EITHER!" rae complained.

"yeah, you too rae!"

"you dont have to lie to her, sykkuno." you laughed to yourself as rae started yelling at you. all jokes, of course.

"because sykkuno has 10,000,000 iq plays, obviously." you responded, causing sykkuno to blush.

"I'm still confused on how i was the one who got voted out." toast said, slightly annoyed.

"really, Y/N?"

"yes, sykkuno, really."

"okay, enough flirting. LETS START!"

well, my side ship in yuwu turned out to be actual canon in a onesided way, but also turned out to be incest, and now it imploded. -________-

I was biting my tongue so hard when I read your earlier comment about the two of them (also, wow you are powering through this!)

I've seen so many comments comparing Xie Qing Cheng to Chu Wanning but to me if I had to compare XQC to any other Meatbun character, it would Murong Chuyi - the same cold demeanor hiding an almost obsessive desire to be selfless for humanity, the love for his sister, kindness to someone who had little of it who in return fixated on him and then ruined his life, the isolating condition that keeps previously well adjusted, nicely normal person from other people (yes, I realize a lot of it applies to CWN also but less so to me; and CWN's internal world - thin-skinned, unsure of himself, believing he's unloveable, ashamed of his wants, introvert, is very different to me. XQC, despite thinking he's a machine who has no purpose other than helping is very sure in himself and to me MC came across the same way.)

And to me, minus the incest (about which neither knew for the bulk of the story), this is a lot more like the dark aspects of main OTPs in 2ha and CFC than the main OTP in Yuwu is like the other two main Meatbun danmei OTPs. Because there are clear shades of Hexie and 0.5 storyline in there. Someone growing up in an awful family fixating on someone decent to him but who is not interested and thus he ruins him and he never even realizes that is wrong (CFC.) Or Taxian Jun 0.5 x CWN - even the flower has a parallel because Meatbun throws out there (and I love her for that narrative ambiguity that IMO she quite deliberately leaves to the reader's interpretation) that JYX was not any more himself when he decided to torture Murong Chuyi for the entirety of his life than Taxian Jun was himself when he was controlled by the flower. Because even with everything else in his life being horrid, JYX was a decent person until he accidentally got trapped by that black magic miasma (rescuing his golden half-brother and without any resentment at that!) and that black magic warped him. And I love that Meatbun just throws it out there and lets you decide for yourself whether that even matters. Nor is there any indication that Murong Chuyi's actions at the end are not justified and that he "ought" to feel anything besides loathing and hatred towards his torturer.

If we tie it to 2ha, I think Meatbun says the same thing she said in 2ha - however much volition you had, bad things still happened and you still have to repent and redeem yourself and until you do, no happiness is possible for you. And it doesn't matter if you won't repent (Hua Binan) or quite literally can't (Taxian Jun under the control of the flower, JYX possibly.) If you don't atone, there is no grace for you and no hope. Because yes, the outcome is different in 2ha, in part because CWN loved Mo Ran and because CWN finds out that Mo Ran became Taxian Jun to protect him, and neither of these apply to MCY x JYX but also, any lasting happiness is only possible because Mo Ran worked hard to become Mo Zongshi - in Meatbun's worldview, if Mo Ran found out about the flower early on and went "oh all right, than I am good and none of it was my fault, I am awesome, let's party!" he really would not be deserving of happiness. Her positive characters, however different they may be, all take responsibility for their actions.

OK, I don't even know how I got on this topic, sorry, I am the person who is clearly devoted to digressions enough to make even Montaigne weary.

In conclusion, stuff that happened to Murong Chuyi, his whole storyline, is one of the things that bothers me (not in a "bad writing" way but "my emotions" way) in Meatbun's stuff, along with Nangong Si in 2ha. Sometimes being good will still lead to nothing but pain and there is no happy ending.

Case File Compendium - ch 55

Good God, these are getting longer and longer, I feel like the ghost of Leo Tolstoy, sans the beard, is possessing me.

This was hilarious! And I love that despite last night, HY does not get the balance of power permanently altered. He Yu is so very young. And underneath the madness and the rage and the violence, he still has that remnant insecurity and awkwardness that could go away with age.

If he could use a scalpel as well as he can use his tongue, XQC would be the premiere surgeon of the country. But this was brilliant! God, I love XQC so very much!

I wondered for a minute why XQC does not act more distraught and destroyed and then it occurred to me - he is literally incapable of it. This is the same person who saw mangled bodies of his parents as a kid and moved on, the same one who kept functioning when he thought the sole person he loved, his sister, was dead. And this is the same here. He already doesn’t care if he lives or dies, this won’t change that. He will do with the latest horror the same as he did with the rest of the horrors in his life - shove it in a small room in the back of his mind and padlock it, while smoking three packs in a row. It’s not healthy but it enables him to survive.

YESSSSSS! He Yu was clearly fooling himself when he was all “he is gonna hate me and this is great!” He is distraught at the thought of XQC hating him but what the hell else did you expect?! It’s like a teeny baby step on the long road of remorse and groveling MB is gonna stick him on.

YES!!!! Applause!!!! Regardless of what one thinks XQC did or didn’t do, nothing he could have ever possibly done could justify what He Yu did. Not to mention, he treated He Yu when he was his doctor to the best of his ability. (Whatever one thinks of their post-employment interactions, he was not his doctor any more.)

The other thing, I don’t think XQC is a therapist. He’s a psychiatrist. He was clearly there to monitor HY’s illness back way when but it’s to treat physical manifestations and similar. That is why so many of his interactions come from this place. Sure, he talked about HY reintegrating back into society but it wasn’t part of any specific structured therapy sessions, it was just his personal beliefs/conversations. HY needed a bona fide therapist for proper therapy. But his parents never got HY one because they only cared about him being controlled enough to not cause issues to them, they never cared about his well-being. Hell, they never bothered to get him ANY doctor once XQC left and HY was only 14. Because hey, he controls himself so who cares about mental trauma. They are the worst!

Oh God, I want to cosmically slap HY into next week. “You Honor, I drugged and raped a dude but that’s justified because I never got birthday cake as a kid.” I am imagining that as a defense in a court of law.

Yes, I am being snide and disingenuous and reductionist because He Yu’s issues are obviously way beyond that and are genuine and serious, but I have absolutely zero sympathy for a rapist telling his victim that he is the one actually wronged.

And then he says he wouldn’t tell the truth because HY couldn’t bear it.

And guess what? Last night has proven XQC right on all accounts - yes, XX should stay away from He Yu as should anyone who likes self-preservation. And yes, learning that things were hallucinations was something HY couldn’t bear (yes, it got aggravated by finding out people concealed that, but I don’t think reaction would have been in the realm of good even without that.)

I loved that bit so much and I love that He Yu was sooooo close and then wrecked it himself.

The thing is, I don’t think all of the “XQC didn’t see the strength/validity of He Yu’s feelings” is what it seems. I don’t think it’s because he’s paternalistic or weird or heartless. I think it’s a defense mechanism due to trauma. He refuses to see ANYONE’s feelings - hell, he refused his wife’s! I think once his parents were murdered, he locked his heart to survive and refused to allow anyone or anything is so as not to be hurt again. XX is the only exception and that is because she was grandfathered in, so to speak.

And then HY’s actions actually did manage to make it through to the armor. Only for He Yu’s other actions to slam that door shut and put an extra layer of protection on.

Ummm, there is nothing in these chapters that is convincing me that He Yu shouldn’t be locked up forever and instead should be allowed to be in human society.

In general, I keep wondering how XQC will get past chapter 52-53 stuff and my brain breaks. Despite the vast amounts of noncon in 2ha, it is a much easier case there. CWN of main storyline never truly had to - he kept thinking his flashbacks were not real memories but weird dreams and by the time he realized they weren’t, he learned about the flower shortly after and how none of TXJ’s actions were really his fault in close succession. CWN -.5 also learned that near the end of the 0.5 timeline and that is what allowed him to love even that warped 0.5 version of Mo Ran and to tell him to forgive himself before CWN 0.5 died. And when we look at whatever went on with CWN and zombie Taxian Jun, leaving aside that CWN himself was in part looking for the man he loved and lost and being with this tormented, destroyed, controlled version of him was the most he could have, zombie TXJ was not even a proper person to be held responsible - he was a sliver of a soul, mad and controlled and with memory and personality lacunae the size of Australia. And of course the fact that he is the way he is because he sacrificed himself for CWN hangs over everything. We don’t even need to get into “and CWN loves him” to get why for CWN this is really a non-issue.

Despite a much healthier dynamic, Yuwu is interestingly closer. Because Mo Xi x Gu Mang first time is dubcon at best. But even there, it’s a very old-school romance novel set up of “gentleman overcome by his feelings can’t control himself” (and I am not going to get into the fact that Gu Mang’s life is so devoid of love that it’s matter of fact for him to look past the method of expression and fixate instead of the feelings being shown however dysfunctionally, because it would make me depressed.) But it’s basically, intense and terrible at intractions bear child Mo Xi expressing his love/lust/obsession/admiration/devotion to Gu Mang even if in an insane way and Gu Mang is under no mistake than that is what it is and they are in mutual love with GM having the emotional upper hand in every interaction this included (in fact, when he defects some years later, one of the regrets he feels is that he was always more crucial/paramount to Mo Xi than other way around.)

But CFC - forget 2ha, it’s not even Yuwu set-up! He Yu does what he does explicitly to humiliate and destroy and hurt XQC and makes no bones about it - saying things to humiliate him throughout, acting in such a way etc etc. It’s not even a sex version of the infamous Russian proverb “if he beats you means he loves you,” it’s just rape as an act of revenge and power and degradation. (And yes, as a reader, you are aware that the reason HY glommed onto that specifically is because without getting it at all, he’s been obsessed romantically/sexually with XQC for years so he’s acting out. But there is no way XQC can get anything like that from it and even if he somehow magically could when even HY himself doesn’t get it, expressing interest through humiliating and hurting someone on purpose to hurt and humiliate is a whole other level from something like Yuwu.)

So how?!

HY’s earlier “nobody can understand what it’s like to live with this/I have the worst life of anyone blah blah” becomes rather ironic because he’s incorrect and his whole “XQC can just say X, Y and Z because he has no idea what it’s like to be in my shoes and if he did, he’s sing a different tune” are proven utterly wrong. And also HY deciding he has no choice but to go to hell and nobody has the right to judge him is wrong on both counts.

2. Whrn XQC told him he has faith in him and he believes/hopes HY can walk out of the darkness on his own, it could have come across as patronizing and (t HY after videos) hypocritical. But what it really turns out to be is a wish from one fellow sufferer to another, from one further on the road to the one who is behind. Nobody is as qualified to wish this for HY as XQC.

3. Remember when HY was out of control and XQC tried to reign him in by saying his pain is not unique (even if causes of it are) - go take a look at people in the cancer ward etc. And HY just shrugs it off, infuriated, and he (and to some degree the reader) might think “this is just pablum, well-meaning platitudes” but now you realize that this is how XQC kept himself going - by thinking that there are other people in pain as bad and they keep going and so he should. But what XQC doesn’t realize at that time is that HY is a very different person with very different triggers and personality and selflessness towards humanity can motivate XQC but can never motivate HY, who is capable of great loyalty and sacrifice but on a very personal, personalized basis.
