If a writer stops observing he is finished. Experience is communicated by small details intimately observed.

Please, for the love of god, please don’t be this person. No matter how long it’s been since an update, no matter how many unfinished stories are sitting on their account, no matter what - do not be this person.
Not only is it insanely rude, but you also do more damage than you think be being such a self-entitled ass about something someone created for free and for fun. “This author” can see what you say.
RIP decency indeed.

Begging swifties to understand that Taylor didn’t write reputation and Lover with the knowledge of how the relationship was going to end and that trying to “excavate” those albums for evidence to prove a specific theory as to why it ended is not how they should be viewed. Taylor wrote those songs feeling a very specific way because that’s what she was experiencing and she is now reflecting on them with hindsight and relates to them differently than when she first created them. These conflicting emotions can exist; how she views it now doesn’t diminish how she felt about it when she first released it.

i genuinely don't care how good a piece of ai generated art or writing looks on the surface. i don't care if it emulates brush strokes and metaphor in a way indistinguishable from those created by a person.
it is not the product of thoughtful creation. it offers no insights into the creator's life or viewpoint. it has no connection to a moment in time or a place or an attitude. it has no perspective. it has no value.
it's empty, it's hollow, and it exists only to generate clicks (and by extension, ad revenue.)
it's just another revolting symptom of the disease that is late stage capitalism, and it fucking sucks.

As someone who both writes and works with fabric, I’m begging you: Please stop using the description “Smooth as Silk.”
When you’re describing fabric, you can name it by the fiber that it’s made from (natural fibers like cotton or silk; synthetic fibers like rayon or polyester) OR you can called it by the weave (chiffon, satin, velvet, etc).
Silk can’t be described as ‘smooth’ or ‘flowy,’ because silk is a fiber. The fiber isn’t what determines the feeling of a fabric. Weave is what determines the texture and feel.
Silk comes in different forms. Dupioni is a Raw Silk weave and has a rough texture. It’s thick and sturdy and stiff. There are more refined silks—in my experience, those are chalky in texture. You can have Silk Satins, and those are smooth, but it’s not the Silk that makes them smooth, it’s the Satin. Because Satin is a weave, and Satin is always smooth, no matter what it’s made of. Silk, for its greater part, is made into weaves that have tooth. Natural fibers often have a good deal of tooth. Synthetics are usually the smooth ones (but even then, a polyester chiffon has a slightly rougher texture because chiffons are a wider weave).
The other night I saw the sentence “The satin was silky smooth,” which is kind of silly. Because satin already carries that implication, and silk does not. Because they’re both fabric descriptors. Because the wrong fabric descriptor is being highlighted.
At its core, writing is just describing what you understand and see and feel. We have a lot of cliches like this one that get stuck in writing until they’re incredibly well known and overused—to the point where nobody even bothers to check whether they’re accurate descriptions because we all assume it’s right.

You know what makes me sit in silence everytime i think about it?
The fact that Andrew was attracted to every version of Neil.
He thought he was hot when he still had his brown eyes/brown hair
He thought he was hot when he had blue eyes/brown hair
He thought he was hot when he had blue eyes/auburn hair and the number 4 tattooed under his eye. ”you are a pipe dream“ , he said, looking at Neils bruised and most honest self.
Then Baltimore. Neil got tortured. Got bruised all over his skin, scars that’ll never be forgotten and what does Andrew do? He asks yes or no and kisses his hip.
It sure af wasn’t love at first sight but the fact that his initial attraction never faded gives you a hint about what Neil is for Andrew.
(Not to mention how the versions of Neil changed the more Andrew learned about Neil as well. First he was Neil. Then he was Abram. Then he was Nathaniel. Until he finally became Neil Abram Josten.
All the lies. All the truths. It all came together and Andrew was there during all of it).
and if I start talking about Neil falling for Andrew the more he learned about him and the role he took over-
(Neil is there to protect the one who protects them all)
