i honestly think that if steve went with eddie and dustin eddie would have lived. he didn’t get robin out of the vines, he didn’t light the molotov cocktails or throw them(that was robin)(he did help carry them though) and nancy was the one with the gun. i mean this in the nicest way possible, he didn’t contribute to the scene as well as any of the other characters especially compared to his usual major role in the end of the world shit. he could have helped more with eddie and dustin (or max lucas and erica but that could have helped eddie and dustin unintentionally). i just feel like that wasent the best place for him to be.
