QUEER-FANSHIPPERS
Calling out to other fans who queer-ship for support! The dark-ish, romcom-ish, historical-ish pirate show Our Flag Means Death is one of the few that has actual queer-couples prominently featured on the show.
The main romantic pairing were regularly shipped in fandom long before it was revealed this was not a queer-baiting tactic, it was actually happening...
And this is just ONE queer/non-heteronormative couple out of many more.
It's a fun show with a wonderful cast and crew who are not only supportive through their work, but many of who reach out to fans through special events and social media.
And now Max/WBD has cancelled that. One of the few cannon-supported examples where shipping queer-based couples weren't just fantasies, and it's been squashed.
I recommend y'all check out the show, but also please help protest the decision to cancel this unique series before it had the chance to complete its full arc:

for example,
- will thinks he’s dating a bunch of his friends cause he always links arms when he walks w them
- he also gets flustered the first time nico does those w him
- nico talks loud and w his hands once he gets comfortable and more than once smacks somone in the face
- either dosent eat breakfast or eats very little for breakfast and j slams a macchiato w lots of milk which KILLS WILL CAUSE NICO YOU HAVE TO EAT
- also kills will when they’re comfortable together and nico kisses his cheeks goodbye/hello
- pronounces wills name more like weel than will but it’s fine cause he’s cute
- gets a black vespa
- when they go into the regular world he smokes and will flips his shit cause lung cancer and also j why would u do that but nico had no idea and also j ???? cause all my family does it????
- knows all the christian prayers and has done his first communion. has holy water from his nona in a small vial he j forgot ab. also has a poster of the pope smoking weed that he bought in rome cause he thought it was funny

wait wait wait, i was thinking about this one when the movie started. we can see that it’s huge and destroyed a big ship with no survivors except for Jacob.
FIRST, this is the first scene of the movie and also the first scene proving that beasts aren’t inherently malicious. the beast must have seen jacob and decided not to attack him.
SECOND, i need to know what this beasts natural predator/s is/are. the designs on its back are made to look like a giant fish skeleton as a form of camouflage, so what is it trying to hide from? (other then beast hunters)

el probably liked eddie, like he probably reminded her of her sister(?) in pittsburgh because of his style and music taste.
if she had been there when the party had met eddie and the rest of hellfire she’s probably get along better/more quickly with eddie then the rest of them. she’s got experience in the grunge scene, even if it’s just from the worst and least plot relevant part of the show.

the fact that all stranger things lgbtq content was either an unscripted throwaway line from a killed off character, a plot device gay boy, and a lesbian that only was in the show because maya hawke, the daughter of famous actors(and a great actor herself) pushed for it feels kinda homophobic to me ngl
