the constant buzzing of your phone roused you from your slumber, you tried to ignore it but the buzzing hadn’t gone away like it usually would. with a huff you sat up and received the call without checking the caller.

“what?!” you said annoyance clear in your tone.

“check twitter, right now!” camila’s stressed out voice exclaimed from the other end of the phone.

“okay, okay, gosh what terrible thing happen-” you fell silent when the twitter app loaded on and displayed a linked article stating a question along with a picture.

SIXTH HARMONY’S Y/N L/N HAS A DAUGHTER?

the article went on to explain how an anonymous source had sent a picture of the ‘happy birthday isla’ banner that hung behind you, you were squatted on the floor with isla’s cheek squished into yours. seeing the picture you immediately recognized it as one that was definitely taken the day before. you could only curse yourself for letting that man help bring that package into your home and forgetting to close the door. apparently there had been paparazzi waiting outside of your house and took pictures of the decorations while your door was open.

“y/n? you good?” camila's worried voice pulled you out of your regretful thoughts.

“y-yeah, just shocked. the thought of this happening never even crossed my mind.” you said, still in disbelief that this could’ve happened.

“look at the comments though, we can go along with them and lie.” hearing this, with curiosity you scrolled down to see the replies to the tweet.

seeing people defending you brought a smile to your face, you loved your fans. though you couldn't help the anxiety creep up your spine, what if they found out about mina. rather than worrying for yourself, you worried for mina, it might break her career if it's found out that she has a kid. you knew that the kpop industry was much less forgiving when it came to things like this. feeling another buzz in your hand caused you to look at the incoming call from your manager larry.

“mila, larry’s calling so i’ll hang up now okay?” hearing a ‘kay’ from camila you hung up and accepted the call from your manager.

“deny having a kid, say it was your cousins or something and that you hang out with her kid alot. I honestly don't care what you say, just make sure no one knows that it's your kid.” he said as soon as you had accepted the call

“and if i don't want to?”

“that’s not an option.” he stated.

“I'm not going to deny my kid, can I just stay quiet? i won't ever deny that isla’s my daughter, i'm not and never will be ashamed of her. sure i had her young but i don't regret it at all.” you responded with finality in your voice. maybe this was a stupid decision, but one parent had already left isla and you refused to disown her by saying she wasn't yours.

letting out a sigh, knowing nothing he said would change your decision, your manager let out a fine and hung up the call. you let yourself fall back into your bed and just laid there hands and legs sprawled out. hearing the creak of your door opening made you lift your head a bit to see isla standing there. she ran over to your bed, when she reached it she proceeded to lift one of her legs up trying to get onto the bed. you smiled down at how cute she looked, stopping her struggles, you sat up and pulled her onto the bed next to you. with her small hands she pushed you down onto your back and jumped onto you, cuddling her face into your neck.

“when will i get to see mommy, i only see hew in pictuws.” isla said into your neck, she was very clearly distressed, and you could only think of the day before when she had questioned mina’s want to even see her.

you honestly didn't even think mina wanted to see her, sure she sent gifts but you doubt she’d want to see isla. she always thought of the child as a burden, as something that you were supposed to care for. the thought brought a frown to your face, you wished for mina to see isla and acknowledge her as a daughter.

chaos had ensued in the twice dorms, although mina only shared a dorm with nayeon, all the girls were currently at the dorms. as soon as they had seen the tweet they rushed over, hoping that it wasn't as they thought.

“so what, you just left her alone with a kid?!” jeongyeon exclaimed, clearly upset at the mere idea.

“uh- well it wasn't like that, i wanted to pursue my dream and she was holding me back. also i send them money and gifts and pay for the apartment, i’m fulfilling my role as a parent.” hearing this, all of the girls continued their attack, throwing objects at mina. she tried to dodge but there were too many coming and too fast.

“god i knew you were a douche judging by the amount of girls you bring home, but this is just unbelievable.” momo said, followed by a shoe being thrown at mina’s head.

“you guys are unbelievable, i'm your member, not her. plus, are you forgetting the part where i literally send gifts, money, and pay the bills?! also she didn't want me to follow my dream!” mina exclaimed, why couldn't they understand her side?

“yeah, and are you forgetting the part where you got her pregnant. whatever she says doesn't matter, as the person who got her pregnant you should have taken responsibility.” jihyo voiced out, clearly annoyed by her excuses.

“I do take responsibility! how many times do i need to say that i give them money, i spoil them incredibly!” mina cried out in exasperation, how many times did she have to say it for them to understand?

the yelling and throwing of things was stopped the moment the door to the dorm opened, their manager walking in. “mina, there better be a good explanation for this.” their manager said, glaring at mina.

“uhm- there really isn't one, it’s exactly how it seems.”

“how do you even know y/n?!” their manager exclaimed, not being able to wrap her mind around this situation.

“we uh- we were high school sweethearts, we dated throughout almost the entirety of highschool.”

“what?!” everyone exclaimed, not knowing that they were in that serious of a relationship.

“wait, so do you know any other celebrities?” chaeyoung asked in disbelief, she had been a fan of the group's music for a while and couldn't believe mina knew them.

“uh- yeah, shawn mendes, he was my best friend since middle school and camila, but she was y/n’s best friend. and i mean camila never really liked me.”

“you knew shawn mendes?!” chaeyoung exclaimed, being best friends with shawn mendes was insane to her.

“yeah, i still talk to him from time to time too.” mina said, scratching the back of her head as she explained.

“mina, i hope you know that we will be going to the US for the billboard women in music awards. and sixth harmony will for sure be there.” their manager said to mina.

“what!?” mina exclaimed, the thought that she might run into you again was now starting to eat away at her. she didn't want to see you, but at the same time she wanted so desperately to.

“oh yeah, i was gonna tell you.” jihyo said, everyone surprised that mina didn't know.

everyone had left by now, and it was only mina, nayeon, and the two beer bottles on the coffee table in front of them. mina usually didn't drink, her intolerance for alcoholic drinks being the reason, but after today she just needed a drink.

“what do you think? do you agree with everyone else, you think i'm an asshole?” mina asked, not offended but wanting a genuine answer.

“I mean what you did was very assholey, but i mean it’s never too late to change you know? i mean i’ve lived with you for like how long? three, four years? and i mean i think i know you best, and i can say with confidence you’ve had at least a little character development.” nayeon said, taking a swig of her beer.

“but what do i do? I feel like what me and y/n had is broken by now. I don't think she’d even want me to meet isla.” mina said, she would never dare say her true thoughts. and i mean, could you blame her?

all she knew about this kid was that she was 3 years old and that it was hers. she didn't even know what isla looked like until she saw the picture on twitter. she felt terrible for even thinking it, but she didn't really care all that much for this kid. you on the other hand, she had known you for a long time, she loved you, she had a kid with you. she didn't regret pursuing her dream but she wished it didn’t include losing you.

“just talk to her, when we meet her. try to just talk it all out.”

First day of college is tomorrow so

Team Miraculous Headcanons!

(Note: I feel like the temp heros arent fleshed out as much so im only talking about their role on the team and the difference between their civilian and hero persona.)

Ladybug & Chat Noir: you already know.

Rena Rouge & Carapace: Just like the two lovebirds up there, I think there personalities swap in their hero personas. While Alya is the more rational one and Nino the coming up with crazy ideas, Rena is the crazy idea girl and Carapace is the one that wants everyone to think things through. In combat, Carapace is a frontliner like Chat Noir but with meatshield bent. Rena rarely sees combat because she's more of a mission control/guy in the chair/Navigator and yes I can randomly make persona references that supports the team from the shadows with illusions and spying on the villain.

Queen Bee: This might contradict canon but idc, Queen Bee is nice! Like yeah, she still insults her teammates, but not to their faces anymore! Chloe's making an effort to not be bad and she's failing, but it's the thought that counts right? In battle, Chloe is just doing her best Ladybug impression and it's not too bad.

Vesperia: If Queen Bee is Chloe trying to be nice, then Vesperia is Zoe being a savage! The girl has a lot of pent up anger from living with Audrey and Chloe at the same time, so she deserves to cut loose a bit. Vesperia is one of the heroes that uses the most taunts and insults against villains, sometimes to bait them but most of the time it's just her being a little bad. She's a frontliner but with an emphasis on dodging hits and grabbing attention.

Viperion: Luka is approachable, Viperion is not. He has creepy eyes and half of Paris is convinced he's psychic and can read minds (which isn't entirely wrong, he just reads emotions). The bad rep dosen't bother Luka too much, but it gets annoying when his teammates are scared of him.

Pegasus: Despite being a nerd, Max really isn't an uptight person. As long as something dosen't endanger himself, he's open to trying new things. Pegasus isn't. He lowkey believes he's surrounded by idiots including Ladybug (but he obeys her orders cause she hasn't really lost yet). Half of Paris is also terrified by him because he's able to pull off Batman levels of big brain during a fight.

King Monkey: Most of the temp's hero personas have different personalities but King monkey really is just Kim in monkey suit. Max has lowkey sussed out his identity, Kim suspects nothing.

Ryuko: Kagami is calm, which is why no one has figured out her identity because Ryuko is cRaZy. She's like one of those middle schoolers pretending to be their favorite anime character but WITH REAL POWERS! Villains are also scared of her because she has like 3 powers for some reason.

Purple Tigress: What more can I add? We all saw her: a raging cat lesbian. She's a berserker!

Pigella: She's like that one "threatening positivity" post: you will feel better, you have no choice >:)". the Love square between her and Tigress is real also. In fight she's like those really annoying spell casters that hypnotize your party members.

Miss Hound: When Sabrina transforms she just goes full Chloe! All the years of being mistreated come out as her being 10× meaner than any other hero! Miss Hound dodges a villains attack? "And thats why your useless, utterly useless!" She and Vesperia are besties!

You as a child do not know better. Just because you /THINK/ its safe does not mean it is.

Adult content is called that for a reason. Its for fucking adults. Do children read it? Yeah. I even did. Yeah i lurked. But what i did not fucking do was have the audacity to think i had any right to openly participate in adult spaces.

It does not matter that you put warnings. It does not matter if you dont talk to any adults. We shouldnt have to worry about people like you in spaces meant for us at all.

You want to write smut? Share it in private. You are on a public platform.

Would you set up a stall at a convention for your smut? Do you think it is reasonable that you should have a place for yourself at a public events for adults? What fucking entitlement do you have to have to think you should be allowed her just because you want to be or think its fun. Should you be allowed to go to strip clubs or bars?

Why are adults not fucking allowed to have spaces for themselves. You can make your blog private btw. You can make your blog have a password to be able to view. But instead you post your shit publicly. You force yourself into our space because you think you have the right to.

Even it it was legal for you to do (which it isnt) what the fuck makes you think you have the right to make yourself at home in a space you are repeatedly told you are not yet welcome in. Do you think its just " oh adults are just being selfish and i should get what i want just because i want it regardless of how anyone else feels about it? Regardless of the consequences?"

You arent special. You arent mature. And you most certainly do not know better if you cant have the common decency to stay out of a community that isnt meant for you.

If you cant even respect the fact that adults dont want children in an adult space talking about adult topics then what makes you think you have any right to be here. Since you think you know so much do you also think you should be allowed to go to a sex dungeon and just exist and watch even though no one wants you there cuz you're a kid? Should you be allowed to set up a table there with your smut "just in case someone is interested"

The fucking audacity you have. I have to wonder how badly your parents must have raised you. And dont you dare accuse me of bullying you or "im a minor uwu". You wanna act like an adult then you can take confrontation like one too. HI. BIG OVERVIEW OC POST THING. IT'S RAINFOREST FLOODS.

have you ever thought to yourself "hey wouldnt it be cool if there was an oc story made by two guys and it was about a haunted waterpark slash arcade in a fake town in a real state". you probably haven't. but if you have youre in luck! more under the cut ok.

rainforest floods is a terrible no good ocverse made by me and my good friend crawford @dykeseesgod. everyone in it sucks and is horrible except maybe one or two side characters. it's set in the podunk middle of nowhere town of timberline, new mexico, and more specifically a waterpark/arcade called rainforest floods (title drop).

also the waterpark SUUUCKS like its budget is nothing they are in debt. the managers havent paid taxes in 15 years. anyway these are the employees. theyre bad

and these are the co-managers. theyre even worse (and also toxic old man yaoi. these refs were drawn by the aforementioned crawford)

anyway yeah. they get up to wacky hijinks in what will ideally be a tv show coming out in one million years. they're also horrible and tragic. most of it is bruce's fault. some of its not though!

ok also here's some other side characters.

^ running gag that nobody knows her name except kelsey who has a huge crush on her.

^ unnamed girl's younger brother who is constantly faced with horrors and torment at the hands of the rainforest floods employees. dont get me wrong hes annoying as fuck but he didnt deserve to run on that hamster wheel. (ref also drawn by ford)

^ jeff's girlfriend. also the coolest person in timberline new mexico. worlds most unimportant minor character but she is wonderful and loved by the producers (me and cosmo)

FUNNY OUT OF CONTEXT THINGS THAT SHOULD MAKE YOU MORE INVESTED IN THIS OCVERSE

rainforest floods stupidity logic is a thing me and robbie came up with to explain why all the characters are idiots who dont find things out that are important to the plot too soon.

there's a chain gimmick restaurant that andy's whole family runs except him. its like italian food but its like also magicians. their tagline is "so good its practically magic". andy hates it.

kyle has a curse on him so that nobody remembers or recognizes him outside of like. his family. so the rff employees arent even targeting him for their shenanigans on purpose theyre all just weird freaks.

kelsey gives unnamed girl the company landline as her phone number because shes stupid and a ghost and doesnt have a phone.

the employees all get together on wednesdays in the breakroom and compare evidence on whether or not andy and bruce are together romantically. its the one thing that truly bonds them all together.

vincent: is a watchmojo fan, had his first kiss as beethoven in his 12th grade production of dog sees god confessions of a teenage blockhead (2004), gets really christian in some episode subplot, is not a swiftie but he is a gaylor, wishes he was jonathan sims sooooo bad, types like a toddler who was just given a keyboard.

also there's a brand account that we run and post on whenever we feel like it. its more of a sounding board for ideas we may explore more in the future. its fun but it may be a bit difficult to get the full idea with the execution so :-( sorry you wont fully understand our wonderful and hilarious visions

this is a really long post and you dont have to read it, its more of a word vomit towards the end but its really detailing my experiences with 5sos c: (its kind of sad but it means a lot to me that i finally put this into words)

i love 5sos. like a lot more than i could put into words. i have such a long and extensive history with this band that its just so much, like.

ive been a fan of 5sos since july 15th, 2014. i was 5/6 years old sitting on the front porch of my grandma's house with this girl i was friends with. she showed me some of their songs and i was in love. i didnt stop listening to them for years, they were my everything. idols, best friends, family, everything. and the only reason i stopped listening to them ever is because of some really heavy traumatic events that happened to me when i was 8-10 years old.

fast forward a few years, i start dating this guy. this guy really liked 5sos, he got me back into 5sos. my brain was so traumatized, it blocked out most of my memories with this band, with the fans of this band, etc. and him getting me to listen to their entire discography? yeah that brought them flooding back.

yet i still stayed, with him and the band again. this guy became really toxic. we argued every night, he blatantly ignored my needs, he got mad at me for getting more 5sos streams than him, he made fun of me for only listening to their old stuff. he acted like i hadnt told him, "hey, some really fucked up things happened to me in 2014-2016 and i forgot pretty much everything from those years so i kind of obsess over them"

but me and this guy were ldr, my mom took my phone, i texted him through a friends' phone. he starts cheating on me. i come back, my mom is having heart surgery, and he tells me i have to break up with him. so i do.

i break up with him, i go through the shit, i get pissed off, i get upset, i cry. i cry a LOT. and for a bit i didnt listen to 5sos. and then i get back into 5sos, because im not gonna change who i am at my very core because some idiot guy who was 'there first' made it about him. i'll make it about me again, i will obsess over it, i will go back to being six years old crying on the front porch with my best friend. i will go back to being a kid who didnt know why people didnt like her.

and i did. im back there, im who six year old me dreamed of being. sure, i have my days where the only thing i can do is cry and try not to hurl myself down a flight of stairs, but im still here arent i? ive made it to the age i always dreamed about being, havent i? im still absolutely in love with the same exact bands, the same exact places, the same exact aesthetics.

5sos is why im me, like that is such a beautiful and poetic thing to me. im still here because of a band, im still here because some guys that at the time were across the world gave me some motivation to keep going? of course im gonna love them. of course im gonna advertise the shit out of them. of course im gonna know every detail i possibly can about them.

like, i mean yeah, i took a little break. but i was forced to by my own brain. and even then, what helped me start healing form that trauma? 5sos. what helped me start healing from that breakup? 5sos.

tw for s/h + suicidal stuff under the cut! its nothing bad bad, just mentions attempts and stuff but its talking about getting better :3 tl;dr in bottom of the cut!

its so weird to say that "this guy who doesnt even know i exist, saved my life" but its true sometimes. like i was in such a bad place when i was younger that i couldnt function. yearly, i was being checked into psych wards. they never helped. i tried therapy, i tried medication. nothing worked.

and then 5sos came back into my life and i finally felt whole again. i finally felt like i was me again. i had been self harming since i was in the third grade, and once you cope like that for so long, its really hard to stop.

but i finally made the decision to get clean, i finally said "enough is enough, i dont want to be like this anymore. i wanna live and be healthy, i wanna live and be happy, i wanna wear shorts, i wanna wear skirts, i wanna wear short sleeves and tanks, i want to wear dresses without sleeves that show my thighs a little. and would ashton or luke or michael or calum really want me to do this to myself? no, no they wouldnt, get your shit together era." and so i did? i got it together, i made my life work. i started looking for the good again, i started behaving like a little kid that knew no bounds again, i started acting my age. i started loving me again. and thats powerful? thats metal as fuck.

the app that i use to track my clean streak has a section for "reasons to stay clean" i have pictures of my friends, my animals, and most importantly, the guys that finally inspired me to pick myself up off the floor and put myself back together.

because i did, i really had to scrounge up the broken pieces. i really had to dig deep and try and piece them back together. and it took work, and im still working on it. and even though ive been clean from s/h for three months, the urges are still there and every time theres just that little voice in my head that takes on ashton's that goes "hey dont, its not the right way." and every time i feel like the world is over, like i dont have anything else, it's always just a reminder.

there will be something else, no matter what theres gonna be something else. no matter what, the suns gonna rise again. no matter what, something good will come of all your pain, all your struggles, all your heartbreak, all the tears. the sleepless nights, the trauma, the guilt, the anger, the fear, the sadness, all of it. it means youre human, it means youre alive. it means good things are gonna happen, you just gotta wait for it. you gotta pick yourself up and keep going. keep fighting, keep running, keep walking. hell if you have to, keep crawling. keep crawling while youre crying. dont look back, youre not going that way. think of how far your faves have come, think of how your younger self wants to know what theyre gonna grow up to be. think.

its not over, it will never be over. pain is human, youre human. youre experiencing life as it was meant to be experienced, its okay to have off days.

tl;dr 5sos + me have been together since i was six and ashton irwin has quite literally kept me alive and from destroying myself mentally and physically for nearly ten years. cool beans bro

Beatrice was a bit surprised when Leonardo messaged her the very next morning, asking if she wanted to hang out after lunch. She was confused as to why, they rarely spent time together anymore since they became adults - and he became a father - but it worked because Rooster said he was going to visit Pete for a little bit that afternoon. Leonardo asked her to go to Mr.Scoops, where he’d already be waiting, so she’d take Jolene as well.

Bradley drives her over, kissing her lips soundly as she steps out with Jolene’s leash in her hand, “Have a nice talk with Leo.” he mutters against her lips, “And if you can bring some ice cream home, that’d be really cool.”

She laughs back, kissing his lips a few more times “I’ll get you some nice chocolate ones.” she smiles, waving him goodbye and closing the door. He waits until Beatrice disappears behind the doors giving her one final wave before he drives off.

It takes a few minutes for her to see Leonardo, just Leonardo, no Bianca in sight, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed as he looks around. He looks worried when he turns over to look at her, but his smile widens, “Hey, sis.” he says, hugging Beatrice tight, a bit too tight,something was definitely up, “Glad you showed up.”

“You know I’ll never say no to Mr.Scoops.” she says softly, following her brothers with her eyes as he leaned down to greet Jolene as well. Beatrice tried to figure out what was going on with Leonardo, but she couldn’t, not yet. Because her brother, while looking worried, kept the smile on his face the whole time.

She wondered if there was something going on with Cynthia, or Heaven forbid, Bianca. She decided to talk to him about it after they got their ice creams: mango for her and pistachio for him, plus a Puppy Bowl for Jolene to enjoy. Much like the last time she was there, they went to the second floor to sit on one of the tables, thankfully they were all dry - the rain yesterday continued all through the night until early morning - and it wasn’t so cold up there because they remained inside instead of the balcony.

Beatrice looked at Leonardo, who just mixed his ice cream vigorously until it had a smoothie consistency, with her lower lip into her mouth, “So,” she began, scooping her own ice cream to take a small bite, “You felt like having ice cream then?”

Leonardo inhales deeply, leaning back on his chair to meet his sister’s eyes in an unreadable gaze, his hands on his thighs before he speaks, “Cyn is pregnant.” Beatrice chokes on the cold treat, coughing behind her hand in surprise with her eyes going wide, “We found out on friday.”

“She–oh my God, congratulations Leo!” she smiles, but her brother remains worried, “You…don’t look too excited.”

“It’s not that, it’s…” he sighs, “Well, we told Bianca because you know how she is, she ended up finding the pregnancy test and– God,” he rubs his eyes with his hands, then slid them to his graying brown hair, “She doesn’t really…get it, well, she’s mad. She’s mad because she’s having a little sibling and not a dog.”

Beatrice’s eyes softened, “Well, she’s just a child Leo.” she says as gently as she could, “You know she doesn’t get it yet. She’ll get used to it.”

“Sure, but…well, I think she feels a bit betrayed because she wanted to spend the week with mom and dad.” of course Leonardo would be exasperated because of that, worrying that his own daughter didn’t love him anymore, “Not to mention, with the new kid I’d have to get more surfing classes so my time with her would be limited.”

Beatrice frowns a bit, tapping the colorful spoon on the light orange dessert, scooping out a mango cube. She could understand that, even without children herself, that it’d hurt Bianca not having her father so often since Cynthia was a dentist and would spend most of the day out, “I see.” her brother groans, hitting his forehead on the table in despair, the noise making Jolene look up from her bowl in confusion, “Leo,” she calls, sighs, then moves to the chair closest to her brother to touch his shoulder, “Hey, come on.”

“She hates me.”

“She doesn’t hate you.” she says firmly, “She loves you, she’s just…five and confused.” Beatrice rubs her brother's shoulder and upper back, trying to comfort him in some way “You know she does love you, don’t be thinking otherwise.” but her brother just kept his head down, something thumping it against the colorful wood and Bea had to place her hand between forehead and table to prevent him from giving himself a headache.

Leonardo lifts his head again, rubbing his eyes and cupping his face with his hands to stare at nothing, his lips pursed downwards, “Who else knows?” Beatrice asks, lowering the hand to her lap.

“Right now, you and Mikey.” he mutters, “Bianca isn’t going to say a peep about it because she’s so angry. She’s probably going to ignore me when I pick her up too, ughh…” he drops his facer on his hands one more time, groaning to himself at how upsetting this situation was. Beatrice just goes back to rubbing his shoulder, making sure he knew she’d be there for him no matter what.

“It won’t last too long,” she says, “You’ll see, she’ll get used to being an older sister, she might even like it more than you ever imagined.”

Leonardo sighs against his hands, then lowers them to support his chin on top of his knuckles, “You know, it kinda reminds me when you were born.” that made Beatrice stop rubbing his shoulder to furrowed her eyebrows in confusion towards him, “Yeah,I was…kinda pissed when I found out you’d be born, I didn’t wanted to uh…you know, not be the youngest one anymore.”

“Oh.”

“But then I saw you with those tubes and everything and…I don’t know, I had a complete change of heart and I loved you from the beginning.” he says, ‘But Bibi…I don’t know, she’s already having a hard time dealing with it now, imagine when the baby is born.”

Bea digested the information that her older brother wasn’t as loving as he was when he found out about her being born. Of course after that they were best friends growing up, with Leo being her protector during middle school and sharing his interests with her every time she asked him about it. “I…I mean I don’t know, Leo. Like I said, it’s about talking to her too, you know?”

“I guess…”

Beatrice looks down at her ice cream, leaning on her opposite hand to keep her eyes on her brother, “Do you want me to take Bibi out? Maybe it’ll help her get used to the idea.”

“Could you?’

“Of course,Leo. You know I wouldn’t mind.”

Leonardo gave her a little smile, then patted her hand in thanks, before he finally dug into his melting ice cream, “Oh, ah, you can tell Brad, if you want.” he says after a while, “Bianca adores him too, so that helps a bit.” Beatrice nods, holding his hand a bit tighter and hoping that would help her brother get his mind out of things.

“You need a ladder or something?”

Pete sighed heavily, looking over his shoulder towards his godson with an unimpressed stare, Bradley chuckling as he made his way inside Penny’s place where Mav is currently trying to measure a space on the wall, “Very funny.” the older pilot says, refocusing his eyes to the markings on the wall with his brows furrowed just a bit, “I’m trying to see if this is a good area for the new TV.”

Rooster sees the plasma tv box leaning on the wall, pulling out his Hawaiian shirt and rolling his sleeves to his elbows, “What do you need me to do?”

“Grab whatever isn’t as big as the tv from the inside and place it on the coffee table,” Pete says, scratching another marking with the lead pencil on the wall, “I want to separate it so it’ll be easier for us to put this thing together.”

His godson nods, using the box cutter to pry the lids open and check the contents inside. The bags of screws and wires was tucked behind the back of the TV, so he had to squeeze his huge hand in there to grab everything in one go. The little plastic bag looked up at him before he tossed it to the coffee table,”I’m serious, do you need a stool?” He was trying hard not to laugh at how Pete was almost standing on his tiptoes to reach a higher area of the wall. Bradley barely avoided the pencil thrown his way, chuckling quietly to himself as Pete finally approached the coffee table and sat down in front of it.

Bradley just does the same, right next to him and opened the tool box he had on the side as Pete analyzed every tiny little thing he’d had to use, “Jesus.” he hears Mav say, “I kinda miss when all you had to do was plug it to the wall and be done with it.” he flips through the manual with the same frown, heaving out a loud sigh and then tossing it away, “We won’t need that.”

“We won’t?”

“No, I can figure it out.” he hated how Mav said that so casually, grabbing the contents from the other bag and pouring it in front of them, the tinkling of the tiny screws and rods hitting their ears in unison, “Well, let’s begin.”

This reminded Mav of the few times he’d go fishing with Goose and Brad, when he was barely hold enough to understand what a fishing rod was, with his eyes huge and amazed watching both his father and uncle tossing the baits on the water. It was his favorite thing, he’d always gasp in surprise when they pulled out whatever was that they caught that day. And now look at him, bigger than Nick ever was and yet looking like the perfect mix between Carole and his father.

He was a grown man now, with a healthy relationship - thank God - with a girl who was really sweet and just perfect for him. He was very happy that Bradley found Beatrice and how much her presence helped him grow out of his shell - and from behind the gates he kept around his heart. And he could see it, as clear as day, how much Brad loved her and vice versa.

Thing is, if his math was right, soon enough he’d bring up the subject of marriage. He knew it, he’s a lot like his father in that aspect, he was just waiting for him to say it. He told Penny that six to seven months would be a good time, but maybe he should add a few more months for safety especially because of Beatrice’s personality - she’s a lot more shy and nervous than Carole was, a bit more careful too.

“Pete.” he hears his nephew say, making him move his eyes from the screws in his hand towards Bradley, “Can I ask you something?”

“Sure, what’s up?”

He hesitated, licking his lips and running his hand down his mustache and chin, a gesture Pete had seen many times in Goose was now mirrored perfectly on Rooster, “I…It’s a curiosity, really.” he assures, almost too quickly, “When my dad met my mom, how long did it take for them to take the next step?”

Mav bit back his smile, the triumphant sound of horns inside his head echoing on his skull and announcing he was very right, “Well,” he begins, “Let’s see, they dated for four months, then on the fifth Goose proposed and then got married before they made six months together.” he remembers how Goose sounded overly excited when Carole accepted his proposal, even picking Maverick up as if he was a toddler, swinging him around the bar they were currently at the time.

Bradley ‘ah’ed, nodding quietly to himself while busying his hands on another random baggie, unsure what this one had inside besides the usual things from the other ones as well. Bradley looks up when silence follows, with Pete arching his eyebrows for him to continue talking, “Oh,I just wanted to know, that’s all.”

“That’s something interesting to be curious about, did something happen?”

“I just saw their wedding picture a few days ago.” he lies through his teeth “That’s why.”

But Pete knew Bradley a lot, he was really like his father in several ways. However, he said nothing, he just nodded with a small smile, “Okay.” he said, finally looking back at the tv box and pushing himself to his feet, “Help me set this up.”

Bradley follows without saying much, simply doing what Mav asked him to while his brain rushed to every possibility there was. If his father proposed to his mother after five months of dating, then…it wouldn’t be weird right? Still he’d want to at least move in together with Beatrice before he did ask the question, and hopefully he won’t be deployed then so he could do it as soon as he could, but knowing that maybe it wasn’t as crazy as he thought it was gave him some comfort.

Beatrice would go through a lot in the coming month, between the photoshoot and her birthday - which was still being thought out by Evelyn who was extremely helpful whenever he needed an opinion on what to do. So far they thought on three different places the celebration could happen - he wouldn’t want to give her more to think about and get nervous about either of those things. Especially since her birthday was going to be a surprise.

But, maybe, maybe he could think about the ‘m’ word he has been ignoring for these past months. Is it quick considering societal norms of matrimony? Yes, it was, but he was…genuinely thinking about it. He loved her, she loved him and nothing more in this world would mean more to him than knowing she’d be called his in a completely different level. Beatrice at her aunt’s wedding was already quite something, if he imagined her wearing white and soon to be having his last name as her own…yeah, yeah he liked that.

He just had a lot to think about, a lot of things to consider, to plan too. He just wanted to know what would happen past her birthday, hopefully he wouldn’t be deployed - which seems almost illogical to think about and he couldn’t just prevent it from happening if he had to go - so he could enjoy the celebration with her. His heart really felt a lot lighter than before, that’s for sure…but he hoped his questioning would make ideas pop in Mav’s head just yet, he’d prefer if his godfather/uncle kept quiet about it.

After setting the TV up on the wall, the two of them tested the channels to check if everything was going well, which made Bradley look around the place in question, “Where’s Penny?”

“She’s out with Amelia and Shells, I think they are getting stuff for when Amelia goes back to college.” Pete explains flicking through the channels quickly, nodding when he noticed everything was working fine “I think it’s done. Hey,” he asks his godson when he drops the remote on the couch, “You want a soda or something?”

“It’s sunday afternoon, Mav. Jesus…yeah give me one.” both men chuckled as Mav led Bradley to Penny’s kitchen, well Penny and Mav’s now he supposed, opening the door to pick two Budweisers from the inside, tossing one of them towards Rooster who grabs it mid air. “Thanks.”

“Don’t mention it.” Mav tosses the bottle opener to his nephew after he pops his own bottle, hearing the ‘pop!’ and the subtle fizzing noise coming from inside. He leans his back against the kitchen table, while Bradley leans his shoulder against the wall supporting his weight on a hip, “So, where’s Bea?”

Mav smiled when Bradley’s lips quirked just at the mention of her name, “Out with her brother, he wanted to talk to her.”

“Nothing bad, I hope? You’ve been behaving around her family, right Bradley?”

The young Bradshaw huffs out a laugh, licking his lips before tipping the bottle to swallow the amber liquid, smacking his lips once he’s done, “I’ve been doing great. I don’t think there’s anything to do with me.” he pauses, looking down at the bottle with a little grin, “I like them, her family I mean. They are protective over her for a good reason.”

Mav only heard from Rooster that Beatrice’s ex was anything but a nice person to her, he didn’t know any details besides that and he didn’t think he wanted to know more details at all. Knowing that someone was mean enough to make an entire family hate you was enough reason for him “Maybe I can meet them one day.” at your wedding, he thought, drinking his own soda to hold back the words, “They seem like nice people.”

“They are, God, that Christmas’ Eve was…really cool.” he says softly,”They all really welcomed me, it was…it was really nice to have something like that again.” not to mention he got a lot of gifts. And a very special one from Beatrice that still made his body shudder just at the memory of it.

Pete grinned, taking another sip of his soda and looking back at Bradley, seeing how his eyes shone when he spoke about it. It honestly made him so happy to know that Rooster was slowly finding a family again, he still had him and the Daggers, but there was something special about…having other people that cared for you. And he knows how much he wanted both Carole and Goose with him, he knew that, but he was more than happy to know that Beatrice’s family took him in so easily.

Before they could continue their conversation, a tune came from the back of Bradley’s pants, the pilot immediately picking it up and smiling at the screen, “It’s Bea.” he says, holding up the phone for Mav to see, “I’ll pick it up, be right back.”

“Go on, Romeo.” Mav laughs as Rooster walks away, “Go on.”

Rooster answers the call when he’s far enough from Mav, pressing the phone to his ear, “Hey gorgeous.” he coos, “How’s your day with Leo going?”

“Oh, it’s going fine. Um,I’m actually on my way to pick Bianca from my parents.”

“Oh?”

“Yeah, uh…Well, she’s going to be a big sister and she isn’t very happy about it, so Leo asked me to you know, stay with her for a bit and maybe make her see it’s not so bad?”

“Ah,I see. Well, first of congratulations to Leo,” he hears a male voice reply a quiet ‘thanks’ from the background, “Also, do you want me to pick you up? I can go with you and Bianca to wherever you two are planning.”

“I was actually thinking about taking her to the dog park, since I have Jolene with me.”

Bradley nods, leaning his other shoulder against the wall, “Sounds good, angel. Do you want me to pick you up from your parents?” she answered positively, the sound of the car parking, meaning she was already there, “Give me ten minutes and I’ll be there okay?”

“Okay, Roos. I love you! See you in a little bit.”

“I love you too, pretty girl. See you soon,” he hangs up the call with a smile, drinking the last of his soda before he goes back to where Mav is still leaning against the kitchen table, “I’m going to go meet Bea at her parents’ house.”

“Everything okay?” Pete asks after Bradley hands him the empty glass bottle.

“Yeah, her niece isn’t feeling the greatest so we’re going to take her out for a bit.” he says, patting his pockets as he tries to find his keys, finally remembering he dropped them at the glass bowl Penny keeps close to the door where all the other keys go as well, “It’ll be fun.”

Mav follows Bradley to the front door, thanking his nephew one more time for coming by and helping him out, then telling him to enjoy himself out there, watching as Rooster entered the blue Bronco, waving him goodbye and then driving off. He got to Bea’s parents in a few minutes, his girlfriend was seated on the front steps of the house with Bianca on her lap and Jolene lying by her feet.

Bianca’s little blonde head lifted when she saw the known blue car, but she had a pout on her face that didn’t diminish. Jolene greeted Bradley first when he walked out, the pilot leaning down to pat her head and ribs before he made his way over, “Hey,” he says when Beatrice stands up, meeting her lips in a sweet kiss then turning his head to Bianca, “Hey there, Bibi. How are you doing?”

Bianca just shrugged, hugging her aunt’s neck even tighter, making Beatrice gently rub her back with a soft gaze, “She’s going to be fine, aren’t you honey? We are going to the dog park! It’s going to be fun!” Bianca just buried her face on the curve of Beatrice’s neck and shoulder, her aunt giving Rooster a worried look but he just mouther for her to ‘not worry’.

Her parents had an extra toddler seat in the house as well, so they didn’t have to go all the way back to her house and get the one she had, making it a lot easier for Beatrice to plop Bianca inside - the little girl still looked upset, but she rubbed her hand on Jolene’s head with the same little pout on her face - then turned to Rooster before they enter the Bronco, “My parents don’t know about it yet,” she mouths ‘the baby’ “So, we need to be careful when talking about it.”

“Got it.” he turns his eyes to the door, “Are they home?”

“They are, but my mom is currently power cleaning everything and my dad is trying to help her, so they just know we are going out together.” she explains, both of them finally inside the car, Beatrice looking over to where Bianca was to check on her. Her niece just looked bored and upset, her little arms crossed over her chest with her head tilted to the side.

Beatrice bit her lower lip in worry, turning to face Rooster who in turn grabbed her hand, kissing the back, “It’ll be fine. You’ll see.”

the only evidence-- yes, these kinds of claims need evidence-- of marinin being racist i can find is in one tumblr post that has a screenshot of marinin being upset about getting a lot of aggressive comments for working on the cleopatra MAP. she did a map part- a 5 second animation- and got called a piece of shit by dozens of people, but i guess she's not allowed to be stressed? not to mention she is a person of color. but i doubt you knew that, because that would require you to take a second look at the situation rather than regurgitating rumors. it's just so sickening how badly people in this community seem to want to turn on each other. but i guess it's all worth it if you're making all the people of color feel very safe... by endorsing the harassment of a poc for making an animation you don't like. you're definitely making me feel very safe as a disabled person. i love knowing that characters like me should be relegated to inspo p*rn. love seeing people attack a creator for arbitrary reasons and then say "hehe see! i care so much about disabled people!". i love seeing that my opinion only matters when i'm agreeing with you and otherwise i'm just an idiot stan. i dont even follow marinin's content. it's just so stressful knowing what she's going through and how rabid the warrior cats fandom is. its scary, honestly. making art online seems like my only realistic way of making money and the thought that one tumblr post with shaky evidence could get me harassed for literal years is scary.

Ugh...are ppl really this dumb?

Warning: Anti KawaSumi/BoruSara post, dont like dont read.

Are idiots really believing Sumire is gonna pretend to like Kawaki because of the omnipotence bs? let alone that she might actually start to like Kawaki while pretending? gah yall are delusional...the same ppl who claim to like her character dont even understand her character at all if you believe that bullshit.

Wtf sense does that even make? just because Kawaki swapped lives with Boruto doesnt mean they literally swapped everything about them even down to their romantic feelings, theres no telling how much of their memories are altered, that remains to be seen since we’ve only got a glimpse through Sasuke but that doesnt account for everyone else.

But lets say it is a complete swap and everything that applied to Boruto now applies to Kawaki, wtf does that have to do with Kawaki? HE knows her feelings arent for him so whats your point? if anything Sumire pretending to like him will just piss him off cuz

1 he knows she doesnt actually like him and

2 because hes not fkin interested

Plus despite popular belief, Sumire is not a good actress when it comes to hiding her feelings [literally everyone knows despite her attempts at hiding it], she is always sweating and nervous af, Kawaki would see right through her if she tried to play the 'Kawaki-kun' card because you cant fake romantic feelings [in the Narutoverse, Sakura tried and everyone saw right through it even the ppl who werent in on it] so he'd catch on that shes fakin it regardless.

You cannot fake this, she cannot look at Kawaki and pretend to feel the same love and gratitude that she had for Boruto and be convincing she just cant, because everytime shes looked at Kawaki since finding out he killed Boruto she has been nothing but scared and nervous around him.

Now that he has everyone out to kill Boruto, do you honestly think shes gonna be able to look Kawaki in the eye like she loves him when she couldnt even look at him before without getting ptsd flashbacks? get tf outta here man.

If anything I see Sarada being able to fake it more than her, she never feared Kawaki nor Boruto so she’d be able to look him dead in the eye without flinching if she had to, but we all know this writings not that generous.

Shes better off just not even trying to fake that, its not like Sumire acted that much different around Boruto than she normally did so she could just be casual with Kawaki and nothing will look off, and if by some very VERY unlikely chance, Kawaki asks her if she likes him just to see the full extent of Adas control, its not like she would just confess that she does cuz she hasnt even confessed to Boruto yet, that and she told Kawaki to keep it a secret, so if she fked up and said yes to try and 'pretend' shes inlove with him, Kawaki would have to be stupid af not to know shes unaffected and playin him.

Sarada pretending to like Kawaki is even more unlikely than Sumire since she never had feelings for Boruto from the get go [not confirmed ones anyway] so if she truly did have feelings for him then now would be the time to reveal it because if Sumire feels like she has to 'pretend' to like Kawaki to not expose shes unaffected by Ada who, as these fools claim, KNOWS Sumire and Sarada love Boruto, then Sarada would have to pretend too.

So now would be the best time to confirm it once and for all, lets say Sumire pretends but Sarada doesnt, Ada should get suspicious and ask something along the lines of 'whats the matter? I thought you liked him too?' of course it depends on the context of the conversation but you get the point, she'd question why Sumire is reacting while Sarada isnt, which would confirm Ada did indeed see that Sarada has romantic feelings for Boruto.

But if they dont do that and continue to leave it up in the air, then Im gonna laugh cuz these bozos swear they winnin when they keep bein left in limbo just like everyone else, which for the ‘main couple’ and the ‘obvious endgame’ is highly suspicious, Naruto was able to make Sakura and Hinatas feelings known so why not Sarada? literally nothing changes if they do, so to keep leaving it up in the air when it doesnt need to be is legitimate cause for question because why NOT confirm her feelings? it doesnt ruin the suspense because we’d still have to wait to see how Boruto feels so why not just confirm Sarada’s side already? thats the part yall dont wanna talk about because yall know its suspicious, so you brush it off with ‘well they dont need to cuz its obvious’ or ‘Mitsuki/Ada already confirmed it′ when they are the LEAST reliable ppl to go to for romantic confirmation.

In fact, I’d say the fact that those are your biggest and only real go tos for proof her feelings are confirmed actually makes BoruSara look that much more flimsy because these are your sources.

If those are your sources for proof then those are some sorry excuses for hard evidence.

Anyway this isnt about BoruSara as much as it is about the delusion theory that Sumire is actually gonna try to pretend to like Kawaki, let alone be successful, or even more ridiculous, actually fall for him in the process.

The notion of Sarada pretending too is even more ridiculous, but if she does then atleast yall will finally have some actual hard evidence that she does infact like Boruto, but if not then keep relying on these half assed sources from ppl who dont even understand their own feelings, but you think they can clearly understand someone elses.

This headcanon of yalls isnt a legitimate theory based on any canon fact other than ‘their lives are switched so she has to fake liking him’, its just a last ditch hope to keep an ACTUAL dead ship alive because yes, ksu really is dead but this aint the post for that convo.

Whether or not KawaSara is dead [because I know yall gonna bring it up] depends entirely on how the timeskip kicks off, but ksu died before the timeskip even started but again thats a topic for another day.

everytime theyve broken up before (on and off slay) it's by shintaro and ayano ends in dramatic tears while shintaro is just like angrily pacing around his room. when AYANO dumps him this time and for good, shintaro is in tears. he's such a mess. takane who's been comforting ayano each and every single time shintaro has made her cry and per her request playing this crazy relationship therapist, goes to her fully intending to do it again. like fully intending to comfort her and talk some sense into her thinking theyre just gonna get back together like always. but this time ayano isn't crying at all, she just breathes in relief and talks about the huge weight she got off her back. and takane's like ...ohhh... this time it's different.

usually, the procedure would be ayano sobbing to takane BWAA PLEASE TALK TO HIM and then takane going to yell at shintaro but this time it's SHINTARO who's like. PLEASE IM BEGGING YOU TALK TO HER.

shintaro on the other hand is such a mess. sorry to bring takane into everything💖 but having him sob in her arms is like the icing on the cake bc his thing with her is not THE problem but one of the (many) problems and shintaro REALLY doesn't learn. he is despaired over ayano and crying on takane again, just like back then. and he loves it in an insane way. because this is so comfortable. this is familiar. it is so so painful. he is so heartbroken but it is so familiar. its not more painful than having ayano by his side because ayano's company terrifies him. her survival is one in its kind in all the timelines, and it has been so terrifying to see something new after seeing the same for so long. especially because the something new is her going out with him of all things?? he has so much regret and self loathing and guilt and FEAR OF LOSING EVERYTHING BC NOW ITS NEW AND IT'S NEVER BEEN NEW AND THAT'S SO SCARY to work through that he cannot enjoy it, he's terrified of it instead and acted the way he did essentially so it'd end the way it'd end. and yeah he's whining about wanting her back and he really does but it's like... you know, the same as back then. lol.

so like ayano, he is also relieved. but in totally different ways. does that make sense. erm. hehe

HELLO. hello. the infodump post was half about kathlizzie and half about eswap gem ans you already know about eswap gem so have a kathlizzie infodump

lizzie fell from the sky dropped into the ocean and doesnt know a whole lot and doesn't remember a whole lot

her only clear memory is a drained ocean and the prisma palace and she doesnt know what the fuck that means so

also so far hasnt found a lot of other fish or axolotl people like her and has found the hard way that they arent very common in this world so shes kind of an ocean hermit

shes mostly watching people form afar, hunting other fish to survive and following schools of cod or axolotls

and she's heard tell of merfolk like her luring sailors with songs and drowning them and eating them

from most sailors she's seen they're usually not very appetising looking so she doesn't have much of a craving for human flesh unfortunately

that is until she finds a sailor with a familiar face and what she's familiar with she is drawn to

but she figures she's drawn to pirate kath because shes a sailor and hey maybe sailors actually make a good meal i guess we'll find out!

she tries luring her in with song at first but kath doesn't even get a chance to turn and look at her because the moment she hears random singing she sails away

lizzie figures she isnt very good at singing and resorts to good ol charm and charisma and decides to approach her little boat directly

kath is immediately startled, she's never seen sirens like lizzie

and mind you lizzie is not actually that good at that convincing and charming kath. like she does this like shes scamming someone yk? but instead she plans to drown them and eat them

same sex ships arent exempt from criticism ( I have seen bb shippers call blacksun forced since v1 for being a straight ship that was being teased instead of a same sex ship ( so to bb shippers who tried to claim you would ship bb if it was a m/f ship you do realize that could easily be turned on you that if sun and yangs genders were swapped and nothing else changed you would be shipping blacksun and calling bb forced and say roosterteeth queerbaited you.

Sun’s wink is accompanied by a slow-mo pan of his expression, followed by the camera focusing on Blake’s slack-jawed attention, along with a literal choir singing in the background while she stares at him. This is his introduction— to Blake, but more importantly, to the audience. This is the first moment we properly meet him, and it’s through this very particular gaze.

One of these has clear romantic intent. The other does not. If I were to present these two scenes to a random bystander and remove the names from the samples, and if I asked them to tell me which scene they thought was meant to be a romantic one, my guess is that they would go with the Sun and Blake scene. Because again, it’s about the framing of the scene, and the context of the situation the characters are in.

I say that Yang’s wink is dubious evidence at best, because I acknowledge that it can technically be read as romantic— but a.) it’s extremely covert, and only noticeable if you’re looking at it to find romantic evidence in the first place, and b.) I’m highly doubtful that was the writers’ intent in the first place.

I remember rwbytalks went why would they show that scene with sun seeing it when sun already knew yang was injured it was to show how blake felt bad nothing about that scene was romantic which sun referenced after getting injured and waking up basically going yang would feel the same about not needing a reason to save you and of course some bb shippers tried to claim it was acknowledging romantic feelings when no it wasnt he brought up yang because he saw how blake felt upset over yang getting injured. sun being blakes love interest doesnt mean him bringing up yang is an acknowledgement of romantic love

I think my initial disdain for the way Sun and Neptune are written came from how sick and tired I am of straight ships being forced on the audience when lots of us are in the lgbta community. Part of it was because my gay ships were sinking I’ll admit but honestly I’m just sick of forced straight ships especially in one of the only shows with enough well written female characters to /actually/ have believable gay ships. I don’t think I hate Sun and Neptune but I do hate how forced the ships are.

if whether you ship a ship or not is determined by genders involved like say if two ships were paired against the other and what causes you to ship one over the other the pairing is genders involved it is a shallow reason representation isnt more important then good writing

Yes, Yang lost an arm for Blake. We get it. But there’s a reason behind that that is not ship related. Lets sit down for a moment and talk about it, maybe even removing your shipping goggles might help.

What reason would Sun have to lose a limb for Blake in V3E11? None. What reason would Yang have to lose a limb for Blake in V3E11? A lot. She realized that she can’t always rely on her Semblance and that she can’t jump into a battle with no fucks given like she did against Adam. Plus, this prevented her from following her teammates (most likely Ruby), thus inevitably dividing the team and allowing her to go through some serious character development while at home with Tai.

And yes, she would have done the same for the rest of her team. Do I need to remind you how the floor exploded when Weiss was knocked out during the fight against team FNKY? And that wasn’t even a serious battle, just a tournment.

Now, the scene was written around Blake and Yang, yes. And here again, the reasons are not ship related. One, I’ve already stated before, and it concerns Yang. The other one was for Blake to feel extremely guilty for her (supposedly) best friend and therefore run away to avoid seeing anyone get hurt again because of her (“No, not again, please…” - V4E9).

Do we really need to twist everything into proof for a romantic relationship? The original post was a fair critique and it had its reasons. Yang would literally give her life for every single one of her teammates - the reason why she popped up during that scene was because she was the only one that would make sense for Adam to fight and injure, other than probably being the teammate to which Blake feels close the most. Ruby? No, of course - she also needed to discover her silver eyes power so making her lose a limb/knock her out would have had no purpose. Weiss? No, besides she got taken away anyway by Jacques, and helped Ruby reach the tower in time to see Pyrrha get shot, so she had a purpose to be there. This only brings us to the conclusion that Yang had to be there for both plot and character development. Hurting Sun like that wouldn’t have made sense if not bring unnecessary drama. Besides, he got hurt anyway in V4, and made Blake realize that this will only keep happening if she goes on like she did.

1.) Adam’s statement, in full, is as follows: “I will make it my mission to destroy everything you love. Starting with her.” Her, meaning Yang.

I’m not denying that Blake loves Yang. What I’m denying, and will continue to deny, was that this was romantic love at this stage. Love comes in many forms. Familial, platonic, romantic, and more. Romantic love is no more valuable or important than platonic, as well. Adam threatening to destroy what Blake loves encompassed everything she cared for, something she acknowledged in v5:

“Do you think I like being alone?…every day I think about them! Ruby, Weiss, Yang…they were my friends! I loved them like I never thought I could love anybody. And I hope they hate me for leaving.”

So yes, Blake loved Yang. She also loved Ruby and Weiss. The only reason Yang’s importance was highlighted by Adam was due the fact that she showed up in the middle of Adam and Blake’s fight, and Blake visibly reacted to her presence. If Weiss or Ruby had been the ones to walk into this, Blake would have had a similar reaction; as explained by her comment in v5. She didn’t hold Yang in a higher degree of importance over her other two teammates. She didn’t single Yang out compared to Ruby and Weiss, but put all three of them on the same level.

Because it wasn’t, and quite frankly saying it was is confirmation bias. With what Adam said about Blake and Yang, the key idea here is it’s Adam speaking. You remember him, the boy consumed with spite and obsessed with separating Blake from all the people she cares for because of the perceived slight of her leaving him. Are the words of a violent, radical abuser really something you want to pin the hopes of this ship on?

Whereas Nora’s “my man!” was a statement of intent. She’s the one staking a claim on Ren. She’s the one voicing the fact that she considers Ren to be “her’s”.

By overly relying on parallels to other romantic relationships or love interests in the show, it only makes the ship look that much worse. It has to rely on the work done by these previous ships and characters, rather than standing on its own merit. Comparing ships, to this extreme, is co-opting and cherrypicking whatever tropes people like best and forcing them into the mold of bb. And that’s everything I have to say on the matter.

My problem with this “couple” is that in the case of Sun and Blake you see his interest from the beginning and is explicit. But with Yang, you literally need to be pointed the interest (usually using big leaps of logic) by the shippers, lets face it BB was a ship created by the fandom that the writers used when the interest in the show was waning.A lot of the bb defender’s points remind me of the “they touched fingers” defense‘Their most favourite proof of BB being totally canon is Yang and Blake looking at one another.Or use the comics that came after volume 6 that show Blake and Yang act like a couple despite the show exclusively having volumes 1 - 5 of Blake having Sun as a more trusted partner and romantic interest.The show from volume 1 - 5 exclusively showed only Sun being Blake’s romantic interest. No and i mean NO ONE else was shown as romantic interest. Everyone else was friend.Even Weiss was shown having two romantic interests the one sided one with Jaune and the next Neptune.Ruby and Yang were the only ones in the main cast without a romantic interest in volumes 1 - 5. The show exclusively had them not show romantic interest in ANYONE.Not to mention that she blushed at one of his advances during the vytal festival.Even if she is Bi that still doesn’t make BB magically well written. Her potential relationship with Sun has a better setup than BB.n v6 was inherently romantic v6 finale didnt confirm bb

b) Blake and Sun’s semblances are direct parallels to each other; Blake creates a shadow clone that she leaves behind, while Sun creates a light clone that he projects outwards. Additionally, Blake is heavily coded with ‘night’ imagery (The belladonna plant is commonly known as deadly nightshade) while Sun is coded with ‘day’ imagery (the freaking sun lol) and their character songs reflect this coding. They also did the traditional ‘slow-motion first meeting with a wink from one side and a wide-eyed blink from the other while angels sing’ meeting. They also specifically wrote Blake to confide in and trust Sun, spending a majority of the first five volumes with him while having very little screentime with Yang at all. They ALSO had Blake and Sun go on a real, explicitly stated date, where Sun asked Blake to the dance, Blake later waited at the door to meet Sun outside, he specifically asked her if they were going to the dance ‘together’ and she confirmed that they were, and after she fulfilled her obligations to dance the first dance with someone else, she and Sun were shown to spend the entire rest of the evening together having fun, while the other dancer was not animated to show any awkwardness or reluctance or regret when she walked away. And then they also had Blake give Sun a goodbye kiss. Yes it was on the cheek, but if you try to tell me that “giving someone who you’ve been on a date with a goodbye-kiss on the cheek before leaving on a train” was somehow meant to be a ‘friend’ thing that ‘friends’ do, I just don’t believe you. Again, I want to be clear: I do not think that these things mean BlackSun HAS to be end-game. I do not think the writers owe it to the audience to lock Blake and Sun into this relationship if they’ve decided they’d rather give Blake a different partner. There’s nothing wrong with writing Blake to change her mind, there’s nothing wrong with the writers changing their minds, but IF they expect the audience to objectively believe that Blake and Sun did not actually have a relationship, and that they were just good friends, and that Blake was always meant to be with Yang instead, then they were wrong to write “Blake and Sun go on a real, canon-confirmed, explicitly-stated-within-the-show-by-both-Blake-and-Sun, date,” and they were wrong to write “Blake and Sun have a romantic goodbye kiss in a train station.” If they cut out the date and the kiss, then I could absolutely accept “Sun had a crush on Blake but she didn’t reciprocate those feelings.” Because unrequited love is absolutely acceptable too; you don’t need both partners to feel something in order for one of those partners’ feelings to be valid. But… they didn’t cut those scenes out. They didn’t write it as if it was unrequited. They left in that Blake decided to go on a date with Sun, and they left in that Blake decided to give Sun a romantic goodbye kiss in a train station. All of this together is ample reason to deduce that Blake and Sun had originally been an intended ship. AGAIN, I’m not saying that locks them in, I’m just saying it’s a pretty obvious lie for the writers to now say that it wasn’t romantic at all actually and the audience is wrong to have noticed the romance they wrote.

c) Blake and Yang do not have any on-screen romantic interaction until V6 - unless you count the three seconds of them dancing on camera, which I would love to count, but unfortunately don’t because RT was very careful to write in a ‘best friends’ explanation of “Yang only said she’d save Blake a dance because she wanted to make Blake feel welcome and comfortable” and they were very careful to animate “Yang passes Blake off to Sun happily and unregretfully and walks away without a care in the world” and they were very careful to write “Blake only accepted the dance because uwu best friends trumps boyfriends but she didn’t start actually having a good time until she was with Sun and immediately started laughing and blushing and looking truly happy for the first time in the series” and they were very careful to write “Yang looks really happy and pleased with herself that she managed to get Blake on a date with Sun instead of sulking around the room.” Do you know what could have changed all of that? If they had Yang and Ruby standing up on that balcony together - you know, this one:

image During the conversation where the two sisters talk about how much everyone’s a great time, imagine the following conversation: (In show:) Yang: You know? I think we really needed this. Ruby: Yeah, and you did a great job planning it too! Yang: Aw, thanks! (My contributions) Ruby: Seriously, you worked hard. And Blake looks like she’s having a lot of fun. *Camera shows Blake and Sun dancing, Blake having fun. Cut to view of Ruby and Yang, a satisfied smile on Ruby’s face, while Yang’s smile slowly droops as she sighs. Ruby notices, looks a little surprised.* Ruby: Er… Well, what about you? You deserve some fun, too! Why not go dance with somebody? Yang: Ehh… Ruby: Come on, Sis, I know you have your eye on somebody, heh heh heh… Yang: Well, kinda, yeah… Ruby: …AHHH! Who is it?! Who is it?! Tell meeeeee! Yang: It doesn’t matter. She’s happier with Sun. *Ruby blinks, looks between Yang and Blake with a gasp* Yang: Gah! I mean - oh gosh, Ruby, you can’t tell anyone! Ruby: But - but - but you’re perfect with each other! Yang: Well it’s kind of a moot point, so whatever. Ugh, can something distracting happen so I can just forget about this?! *continue with the rest of the scene (though while I’m at it actually cut the rest of the scene because if Jaune wants to wear a dress he should have just been allowed to wear a dress instead of them turning it into an ‘embarrassing’ bet because oh ha ha funny because man in skirt laugh laugh now never speak of it again.) If bumbleby had been the plan from the beginning, it would have been easy to make it clear that Yang likes Blake. Jaune was allowed to tell Ren that he liked Weiss. Pyrrha was allowed to express to Nora and Ren that she liked Jaune. Sun was allowed to tell Neptune that he wanted to pursue a relationship with Blake. Why was it apparently impossible for Yang to tell Ruby - her sister - that she had a crush on Blake? I’m not saying RT had to write a love-confession from one directly to the other, but if they had at least had one admit to a confidant that they had a crush on the other would have gone a long way towards actually setting up this ship and avoiding the queerbaiting I’ll talk about later. And if you say “Yang winked at Blake though, so that’s already confirmation enough” then I guess Yang also has feelings for that rando from the White Fang.

the teasing for bb arguably began in v7 ( nothing in v6 was inherently romantic for blake and yang )

Ido not buy the idea that they planned it from the start because why did they write it so badly then why wasnt there anything till v6/7 for blake and yang

at that point even if they did plan to do it from the start they should have changed the plan and went with blacksun which they had put so much buildup ( while bb didnt get anything ( its like how I would say they should have changed the how i met your mother finale for the original plan requires a regression in characters the characters had grown past the plan)

but I dont buy the claim that bb was the original plan

I believe it was blacksun and they changed it ( due to letting the vas and fans write it )

( lgbt discrimination doesnt exist in remnant so dont give me that comp het bs

caring about the lgbt community doesnt mean you support every single same sex ship that becomes canon regardless of writing

it doesnt mean if there was a ship war between a same sex ship and a het ship you support the same sex ship ( even if there was nothing for the same sex ship that pointed to a romance) and lets say in a genuine situation where the same sex ship and het ship both have the chance of being canon the characters have shown an interest in each other caring about the lgbt community doesnt mean you ship the same sex ship

it makes a joke to determine whether you care about the lgbt community based on shipping ( especially given how intense ship wars can be when its between 2 het ships

a vent about a former best friend

when you were younger you had one best friend and you were so sure you would be friends forever you kinda gave up on trying to become friends with other people. "its better to have one true best friend than many friends youre not even that close with" you thought, so your whole life kinda revolved around that one special person. and you were okay with it.

she was the only person you really hung out with. she was the only person you saw as a true friend. she was the only person you trusted. she was the first person you told you were gay. she asked you if you liked her then. no. i dont think i do. you lied. telling the truth wasnt worth risking losing your friendship with her. you didnt have a chance anyway. youre not sure if she believed you.

you though you didnt need anyone else because your best friend would never leave you and like yeah she had more friends than you and she hung out with other people and she was more popular but it was okay. she was always more extraverted than you. its fine. you didnt worry about it because it was YOU who were her best friend, she loved you, you were more important than all these other people. so. you. didnt. worry. about. it.

she didnt get accepted into the school you both wanted to go to together. you were on the bus with her and you held her hand and told her everything would be alright as she cried. it reminded you of another time you held her hand on a bus. she took a picture, your hand holding hers. it felt nice. it felt right. she posted it on her social media. added a joke caption about finally finding a boyfriend. you smiled. you wished you couldve been her boyfriend.

she put a pair of sunglasses on so other people couldnt see the tears. you held her. youre not that good at comforting people so you made some dumb jokes to cheer her up. she laughed. and you smiled.

you didn't see her as often as you used to when school started again, you knew that would happen. it scared you anyway. she started school the same time as you most of the days so you would talk on the bus in the mornings. just 20 minutes with her. you always looked forward to it. she told you about a new friend she made and you were happy for her. you werent like her, you didnt try to make new friends, you didnt need them, you still had her. your best friend forever.

you were an idiot, really.

she invited you to her eighteenth birthday party. of course she did, you were still her best friend. you told her you wont drink. you did anyway. you all did, obviously. she got so drunk she took her shirt and bra off at one point. everyone laughed, including you. everyone looked, except you. you looked away. it would be weird to stare wouldnt it. you were afraid what she would think if she cought you looking at her body. she knew what you were. you werent allowed to stare. so you didnt. she spilled vodka all over herself after that and her other friend helped her shower. you felt jealous. you also felt so gross.

you meet up one day, you havent seen each other for some time so you have a lot to talk about. you sit on the couch and shes next to you, close, it feels nice. it feels right. she tells you she got drunk and let a girl finger her.

...what?

she said she feels gross. regrets it. she didnt want to do something like this for the first time with a girl. you say you understand. you get it. you try to comfort her. but all you can think about is that you wish she did it with you instead. and after that you think "oh. i really am a horrible person, arent i?" a pervert. a perverted gross horrible person.

your last meeting was months ago. almost a year. she talked about what university shes going to to go to, about her boyfriend, her other friends and all the fun things they would do together. youre too afraid to ask why she never invited you to hang out with them. you dont have a boyfriend, or a girlfriend, or any other friends.

but its okay.

i still have her, my best friend.

best friend forever.

i know its not true anymore, im not that stupid. it hurts, it really fucking does. the fact that she was able to move on. shes okay without me. shes not lonely. like me. people like her. they always have.

maybe i never mattered to her that much.

or maybe i tell myself that because it hurts less than the thought that i did but she was still able to move on and i wasnt. that theres something wrong with me. that im broken. a pathetic person who cant do something as simple as make friends. i held on to the past, on to her, so hard that i fucked up my future. its kinda funny. you genuinely couldnt have thought you would be friends with her forever, what are you, a child? you really need to grow up.

but i dont care. i dont need friends. im okay with being alone.

afraid of everything. afraid of making friends. afraid of being vulnerable. afraid of being judged. afraid of being myself. afraid of telling her that i loved her.

she said she would drive me home but we had to wait for her boyfriend first. he walked up to me, i shook his hand. its nice to meet you. we drove. me in the front seat, next to her. him in the back. i sat in silence as they argued. i got out of the car.

i had fun. we should see each other again soon.
