Kick It - Baek Juho

Summary: Crimes had increased in Seoul, and you were feeling slightly unsafe. You wanted to change something and asked your best friend Juho to help you out. He was experienced in self-defence methods and was able to teach you some basics. But you didn’t just receive a feeling of safety, but another better gift of life.

Crimes were nothing new. They were happening everywhere in the world. Some countries had it worse others less. But as you saw that the crimes towards women have increased in the country you live in, you decided you need to act.

Not that you were going to change the world, but at least you decided to help yourself out. You knew your best friend Juho was able to do some self-defence tactics, and when you explained you were not feeling safe going through the city, he would help you out for sure.

You decided you wouldn't wait long and asked your best friend right away. Without hesitation, you called him and waited for him to pick up. Usually, Juho never needed a long time to pick up, just like now.

"Hello, what can I do for you?" he joked.

"Well, you actually can do something for me," you responded.

"Oh? I did not expect that. But what is it? Rui, stop trying to steal my food." Juho whined.

You laughed. "Do you even feed your cat? She always acts like she hasn't gotten food for months." you joked.

"I give her enough, (Y/N)," Juho said. "But what is it that I can do for you?"

"Mh, I have my eyes on you and Rui." you chuckled. "Can you teach me some self-defence?"

"Huh? Where does that come from? I mean sure, but that was surprising."

"Well, I saw that more people get attacked which is very unlikely in Seoul, at least in our districts. Anyway, I just want to feel safer, and I know I can do that when I have some self-defence. And I know you can, which means you could teach me." you explained.

"I mean sure, but please know that I am in no way a professional. Have you thought about going to a course?" Juho asked.

"I did, but honestly? I don't feel comfortable with a stranger doing this. Sure, he may be a professional. But Juho, you know how I am with strangers." you pouted even though he could not see it.

"Alright, I know that. If you want, you can come to our company's gym every Friday when we're done with dance practice. I, of course, will let everyone know to let you through." Juho suggested.

"Sounds great to me. Thank you, Juho. Do we start this Friday even though it's in two days?" you wondered.

"If you want yes."

"Yes, please. Then we will see us the day after tomorrow! And Juho, give Rui a treat from me." you cheered.

"That we do. See you! Well, if you insist."

You heard a small cracking sound which was an indication for Rui to get the treat. "Thank you. Now I end the call." you laughed as he laughed and probably shook his head.

Friday came faster than expected and you were on the way to FNC Entertainment to meet up with Juho to finally learn some basics. You knew that it would take some time to learn everything to the point that you would feel safe, but somehow it already made you feel a bit better about the whole situation.

You entered the agency and walked towards the reception. "Hello, I am -"

"You're (Y/N), Mr Baek is already expecting you. Just head to the elevator and floor 1." she smiled.

"Oh, thank you." you smiled and did, as instructed. Arriving at floor 1, you walked out of the elevator and towards the gym doors and smiled. Youngbin got up as he saw you. "That's my time to leave." he smiled. "Have fun!" Youngbin waved towards you and passed you to leave.

"Youngbin waited for me because I wasn't sure when you would arrive due to traffic," he explained. "Come here and sit down, I start with some basics."

You put your bag to the side with the clean clothing after you were done and sat down in front of him. You were happy that you already put on your gym clothes.

"So, I made a small plan so that you know when you will be done or let's say be able to use the basics." Juho took out a folder and showed you. "We will start this week with Hammer Strike and exercise it until next Friday. You can use this gym freely, I arranged that. We have a mannequin here that you can use to practice it with. On Friday I will see how you do. Then we start with Groin Kick, Heel Pal Strike, Elbow Strike and so on. Every Friday we start a new defence method." Juho explained. "Alright with this?"

"Totally, I mean if I can use this gym freely, and still have you to help, sure."

"I am always just a few walks away." Juho smiled.

"Alright come here, first method 'Hammer Strike'." Juho stood up and helped you up.

He stood you in front of him and took your arm. "Make a fist."

You did a fist and looked expectantly at him. "How will I know that I hit strong enough?"

"You will know on the mannequin. If it falls, you were strong enough." Juho said. "Now you use this fist and hit the opponent with full power against his nose." he motioned on your fist and his nose, but of course without the power. "Now try this on the mannequin."

You walked over to the mannequin and tried it. Juho walked over to you. "Put that foot to the front, shoulder like this." Juho gently took your shoulders and positioned you correctly. Try to hit the nose from below. More in this degree." he showed you again and looked at you.

Again, you redo it and smiled as the mannequin moved. "Oh, I think I can do it." you smiled.

"Good, try that a bit more often now." Juho smiled. "I see if we have to change something else on your posture."

"Okay," you did as Juho told you, and smiled as you were getting better and better.

Week after Week Juho showed you more methods and you were enjoying it. The problem was that you spent so much time with Juho that you saw a side of him that you hadn't seen before.

Sure, he was your best friend and you loved him, but you saw him as your best friend nothing more. Now he was a man, that you smiled at whenever he was with children and a man that you wanted to see in a suit while you walked down the aisle. You had no idea where this started and how you ended up here, but you had to admit that along the way of endless laughing, and close defence methods you fell in love with your best friend.

As you were arriving in the gym again on your last day you smiled and hoped he would never see that the way you saw him had changed.

"Today, we will use all the methods you learned, except the Groin Kick and Hammer Strike." Juho started.

You stood in front of him. "But where is the mannequin?" you looked around confused.

"You will do everything today on me. Kick me." Juho said, standing in front of you, ready to defend.

"Juho! I can't kick you! You just had a rip injury." you were shocked.

"(Y/N), it's alright." Juho motioned again for you to kick him.

"No way, Juho. Forget it. I learned these methods to use them on idiots and people who should never touch me."

Juho stood normally again. "Alright, if you insist not to use them on me, we got a problem. The mannequin is broken because of Jaeyoon. He practised a bit too strong."

"Oh, and now?"

"Well, either you use them on me, or we have a free evening and could go home and eat something," Juho suggested.

"Damn Juho. I want to use my last lesson. Stand straight, don't you dare not move! Defend yourself, okay?!"

"Understood."

You took a deep breath and started to show the self-defence methods and thankfully, Juho dodged most of them, except for the one kick he missed and you hit his rips full blast. You gasped and ran to him and tried to make him look at you.

"Juho, are you okay?"

"Yes, I am alright. You truly learned well." Juho smiled through the pain.

You cupped his face and studied his eyes if he was lying about the pain intensity. And then you took the shirt and pulled it up without thinking much. You looked at the spot where you hit him and still saw a small bruise from the rib injury. "I hit you right there?"

Juho nodded and looked at you. "I am okay, (Y/N)."

"No, I hit you." you pouted and stroked over the injury, and you could swear Juho tensed and stopped breathing.

You looked up and saw him looking at you, but not like he used to. It was different as well. Could it be possible that it wasn't only your feelings that have changed? Should you take the risk and confess, or should you wait?

Juho just looked at you and you saw his eyes wander down to your lips. You totally forgot that you still had your hand on his injury, but you were somehow caught in this moment.

Juho took a deep breath. "God, don't let me be wrong about this," he murmured before he leaned towards you and cupped your face. "You have learned self-defence. Use them if I am wrong." Juho whispered onto your lips before he connected his with them.

Juho expected you to push him away, but instead, he felt your hand wander to his back, and the other hand into his hair. He also felt yourself deepening the kiss. He pulled you closer but before he could continue kissing you, the door opened and he stopped, looking up to look straight at Youngbin. He expected him to scream and ask how he dared to start a relationship, but that man was smirking.

Juho and you looked at Youngbin walking over to you. "Sorry, I feel very bad destroying this lovebird mode, but the CEO called, we have to go to the office. Because of my military enlistment and the future of SF9."

Juho nodded. "Alright. I'll be there in five minutes."

"Counting," Youngbin shouted as he left the gym.

You turned to Juho. "Go there. I will go home and maybe we can still do the dinner and movie part?" you smiled.

"And talk about what happened because I saw you not pulling away," Juho added.

"That too, yes." you smiled.

Juho walked to the door but turned around to give you another kiss, a shorter one but also a great one. "Message me when you're home. I'll be there as soon as I can."

"I will." you smiled as you watched him leave.

You couldn't comprehend what just happened, but you were happy, nevertheless. Even though you haven't talked about it yet, you were now sure that it wasn't one-sided. And that Juho started to feel the same way along the way of practising and spending time together. You were excited about the future and grateful that life gave you Juho.

So, the Concubine AU is going to be a hard one to finish and to pace in a way that makes it "redeemable" but also engagingly dark/worth its AU.

That makes me sound like I'm killing puppies, but really when you add non-consent and want something to end happy and also want characters to both be seen as ultimately morally good, you have to lay foundation to get readers to buy that.

to sum up plot summary: events occur pre-canon, Ch!p has a no good very bad day and ends up a prisoner of the human-hating Undersea who don't disguise how little they wish ill will, and he's assigned to the reluctant champion who looks like he'd rather skewer Ch!p. Ch!p finds either he plays into his role or he's going to end up dead.

When I first went into it, I thought "okay, well obviously canon Undersea isn't super dark so I can't go super harsh" and tritons according to DND lore usually spare people based on how good of heart they are.

Then, JR/WI lore said otherwise. Ok. Re-write. Fish people gonna be assholes.

As usual, I love my Ch!p POV, and so that helps balance the dark tone, because you have room for comedy with him.

So from the get go it's going to emphasize Ch!p does not matter to the Undersea. His life is literally seen as less than the life of a fish. He is nothing, and if they spare him, it's not out of regard for him. They can and will revoke and kill him if need be. Ch!p very much faces the "You don't matter :)" severe trauma.

The challenge becomes how to present Gil. It took a few reworks, but with a lot of canon filtering in about his backstory, I settled on selling the narrative he's just as much a prisoner as Ch!p. But still, can't give him too much sympathy right out the gate and Ch!p isn't about to be treated to Gil devolving his entire life story to a human, so it's about non-subtly emphasizing how much of Gil's life is decided for him and how little freedom he has.

And how his human pet he's given is basically the only companionship he gets and how even if he loathes humans, Gil can't pretend forever he's not lonely.

Theres also the fun thing of an impending stack of cards falling as Ch!p does what he does best, and thinks he can lie and bluff and cheat his way out of this situation.

As we know, Gil hates liars :).

Ultimately, story gets to end very happy.

And depending on how much I want to push the bill on the E material, I may go "lets go poetic" or "lets go raunchy." Def E material, but also I don't want to cheapshot out and have forced-concubine AU that's "oh, but the captor is nice so its okay!" trope. My co-writer and I do disagree a little I've noticed. My tastes always lean a little darker.

I think honestly unless I plan for shorter stories I'm never getting any of my ideas done X_x. I always want to take 100k words, but the commit 10k only.

Y/n has been working for FNC entertainment as a makeup artist for about a few months now. They had the opportunities to work with P1harmony, we know you’re not supposed to get close to the idols as their make-up artist but you just couldn’t help yourself. Jiung is an amazing artist and person.

Whenever Y/n did the boy's make-up, they would have music playing to hype them up. Piwon loved your enthusiasm and support, they also found everything beautiful about you. You are the boy's best friends but this one time you were left alone with Jiung.

Something about him was very comfortable, the two of you were both singing while you were doing his make-up. However, you noticed the way he looked at you, full of passion but it was nothing weird. you caught him looking at you and the both of you laughed. You finished his makeup patting his head, Jiung looked in the mirror nodding his head.

“Another wonderful job was done by the amazing Y/n,” Jiung said, hugging you.

“Awe Jiung…you better stop and go perform,” You said, hugging him back with a laugh.

“Hmmm, what if I want you to watch me perform,” Jiung said with a smirk on his face, of course, that shocked the fuck out of you.

“Fine I'll watch you, big baby, you finna eat it up,” You said, shaking your head, he stopped hugging you, giving you a smile leaving the room. YOU WERE STUNNED, Jiung just asked you to watch him perform and HUGGED YOU.

You eventually let that die down, making your way to where they were performing. Since you had a lanyard around your neck saying “makeup artist” you got to sit in the front. Immediately you made eye contact with Jiung, he smiled at you doing his thing. You immediately knew he was showing off for you and you loved it. You were singing and dancing with the other fans having fun honestly.

The concert ended and you were wandering around trying to find the dressing room, yes you got lost. You sighed trying to find your way back, Someone yelled your name and you jumped like you heard an alarming alarm.

“Y/N THE DRESSING ROOMS ARE OVER HERE,” Intak said waving to you to come over. You shook your head, hesitantly walking over to intak.

“We don’t speak about how I got lost Intak,” you said laughing, intak laughed smiling down at you.

“What?!?!” You said crossing your arms looking up at Intak.

“I saw you and jiung basically flirting with your eyes!” Intak said dramatically pointing to his eyes.

“Chile no,” You said rolling your eyes playfully entering the dressing room.

“HEY BOYS YOU GUYS DID AMAZINGGG,” you said clapping for them excitedly. They all clap with you making a beat. You danced around all happy, they hyped you up. P1Harmony were your best friends and you were happy about that.

After, all the hype died down (not really). The chemistry between you and Jisung was very hot and obvious, the way he was clinging onto you, being around you, flirting buttering you up, made you feel so special.

Jiung obviously got your number after that encounter. That’s literally all you can think about for the past few days but, you didn’t know if you should text first maybe he was busy?. As soon as you thought that he texted you, can life get any better at this point?. You read the text getting all excited, Jiung invited you out but where? He was an idol and highly recognizable. You shrug, getting ready to go to the dance room obviously not reading the room, getting dressed up to go to a dance room okay get it I guess. You felt cute and that's all that matters, you made your way to the mirror to fix your afro, you hyped yourself up out of nervousness because you were panicking inside.

You took a deep breath making your way to your car starting it up pulling off, you were very confident but around Jiung, all you felt was shy. Butterflies went through your body and you were only at the first stop sign, something about Jiung just resonated with your soul. The way he was so passionate about his job, the way his eyes lit up when he spoke about music just really stood out to you. You were a smiling mess driving to the company, enjoying your time multitasking driving, and daydreaming about Jiung.

You arrived at the company taking another deep breath before walking in finding the dance room Jiumg was in. You heard Victoria Monet and knew immediately that it was him, you crept into the room forgetting it was a mirror all over the room. Jiung looked in the mirror and immediately smiled. He has the most beautiful smile you thought in your head, Jiung made his way over to you looking you up and down. You got all shy looking away from him.

“You look so pretty Y/N!” Jiung said with a slight smirk knowing exactly what he was doing. You laughed looking down.

“Thank you Jiung,” You said shyly, Jiung tilted his head,

“Awe don’t be shy look at me Y/n I wanna see your beautiful face,” Jiung said with a smile, you were going fucking feral. The butterflies in your stomach were flying all over the place but you did what he said.

“Thank you Jiung,” You say not even hiding your smile, which made him smile even harder. You two were just standing there smiling enjoying the moment for a while. Jiung just loved how flustered you get when he compliments you, the way your eyes glisten in the greatly lit dance room makes his heart do flips.

You two noticed that y’all were standing there staring at each other and laughed. You just got there and you were having the time of your life just being there. Jiung just couldn’t keep his eyes off of you, he just thought you looked so pretty everywhere you went. Something about you just had him on his toes every time he saw you, from the first time you did his make-up, he got a good look at you and was hooked ever since then. When you hype and compliment him after performances, you were so perfect it felt unreal but familiar.

You and Jiung vibed from the time you got there from the time y’all sat down and talked about your passions.

“So y/n how did you get into makeup,” Jiung asked, taking a sip of water.

“Honestly it's something i've always experimented with and wanted to make it a profession,” You said playing with your fingers.

“Yeah you're amazing at it, I can tell you really love doing it,” Jiung said, giving you all of his attention.

“Yeah especially when I see someone feeling themselves after, or feeling confident. For example, you and the rest of the members you guys make me feel so good at my job and make me love it, even more, you guys are such good people to work with.” You said smiling hella wide.

“You’re so cute gosh” Jiung mumbled, shaking his head, one of your favorite songs started to play (Honesty by pink sweats). You sang along to the song with Jiung and you both looked at eachother tilting your head chuckling.

“Wow I didn’t know you liked Pink Sweats,” Jiung said surprised.

“Yes I love Pink Sweats he’s amazing,” You said with a smile.

“Damn what are you, my Soulmate!” Jiung replied, chuckling.

“Shit maybe I am, it would make so much sense”. You said checking the time on your watch, at the same time as Jiung checking the time on his phone.

“Damn we gotta go we both got to be up early” Jiung said with a frown, you chuckled ruffling his hair while getting up.

“Jiung love i’ll see you tomorrow for your concert” You replied, Jiung sighed while getting up hugging you. The way his arms wrapped around your waist had them butterflies going berserk. You were processing so many things just from this one hug you thought you were the only one with butterflies, JIUNG was out here losing because you looked so cute wrapping your arms around his neck. You pulled away, which made the both of you laugh, Jiung walked you to the front door giving you another hug finally letting you go about your business.

You were a flustered mess, missing him already. It was 9 pm. You spent most of your day with Jiung, nothing was wrong with that, you enjoyed yourself with him. He made you feel so comfortable it made no sense. You made it home safely texting him, you made it home throwing yourself on your couch daydreaming.

Jiung made it back to the dorm a smiling mess, the boys bombarded him with questions that made him so excited. Of course he got teased because he walked into the dorm with a big ass smile on his face.

“I guess it was amazing you came in here smiling all hard! But like for real spill, everything that happened do not live a single detail out” Keeho said smiling.

“Yes, tell it like you were telling your future children. Theo said, adding on to what Keeho said. The boys gathered around to hear what happened when you texted him, He smiled seeing your contact replying with a simple “Good sleep tight my love”. Intak looked at him laughing.

“This is the cutest thing I've witnessed,” Intak said, smiling his damn self. Jiung told them what happened. Jongseob had the best idea ever.

“Why not sing that Pink Sweats song at the concert tomorrow because you know she's gonna be there supporting us”. Jongseob said in the most nonchalant tone .

“YESSSSS DO ITTTTTT’ Everyone but Jiung and Jongsoeb yelled.

“Fine this is the smartest idea, I really like her a lot I hope she likes it”.

The next day, the concert was in a few hours and you had to hurry up and get there. You do not want to be late. You got up showered, put your in a puff, put a quick outfit together rushing out the door making your way to the venue. You were rushing, and you slept late as well but, you were vibing out in the car so it was fine.

You arrived at the venue rushing in, finding the dressing rooms you walked in being greeted by the boys.

“HIIIIIIIIIIII Y/NNNNN” They all yelled which put a smile on your face.

“HEY, GUYS SORRY I'M LATE,” You said all happy and energized.

“It's fine we go on stage in an hour. You get plenty of time considering your work fast,” Keeho said, sitting in the chair first. You chuckled at him getting to work. You finished the 5 of them pretty fast but Jiung was giving you issues, he just kept making you shy. As soon as he sat down he was flirting.

“You look pretty love,” Jiung said while you were doing his eye make-up. You tried to hide your smile but you couldn't. He was just so cute.

“You’re so cute,” You said, chuckling. The boys overheard this and found it adorable. You finished Jiungs makeup, sighing proud of yourself.

“HAVE FUN BOYS I WILL BE IN THE CROWD WATCHING” You said waiting 5 minutes after that walked out to walk out as well. You were in the front row enjoying them on stage. They are always full of energy and amazing to watch on stage. You took videos just like one of their fans. I mean you’re but why not it's cute. You were so proud of them up there, all happy and performing. The boys sat down to perform their covers and you heard Pink Sweats vibing out and it was your favorite song at that. Jiung just held eye contact with you while he was singing the song.

You felt every piece of emotion he was putting into while he was singing this song, you liked him and it felt amazing. You smiled at Jiung holding your heart, he smiled back at you which stirred butterflies in your stomach. He finished singing and you were a wreck. He did that for you? Does he feel the same way?. Those thoughts were running through your mind while the concert was ending. You made your way back to the dressing room waiting for the boys. They all walk in greeting you.

“Y/n Jiung has to tell you something,” Soul said, all excited.

“As you just experienced I sang that song for you knowing that it's your favorite song and things we’ve spoken about so when he says love will happen when it wants it hurts sometimes but don’t let it go so i'm asking will you be my girlfriend?” Jiung said with the biggest smile on his face. The boys were hyping him up in silence, you were shocked as fuck.

“Wow no one has done something like this for me and you’re an amazing person so yes I would love to be your girlfriend” You said, the boys cheered loudly making you and Jiung share a laugh.

Hey guys! I was finishing up the Keeho imagine and realized I had a request in my inbox! I didn't see it until now so I'm not sure when it was sent so I'm really sorry I didn't write earlier if you sent it a long time ago! This was requested by @ipupwkr! I hope you like it! Theo had been working nonstop since their comeback was very near and it was clear that he felt absolutely drained in every aspect possible.

You of course weren't oblivious. You did notice that your boyfriend was overworking himself. So you wanted him to relax a bit.

It was almost 2 am when you went to fnc and found him in a practice room, dancing alone. You felt the vibrations of the music coming to an end and you took this as an oportunity to come in and take care of your boyfriend.

"Hey babe!" You said softly as you closed the door of the practice room and put the food you brought on a nearby table.

"Oh hi, baby! What brings you here?" He asked as he pecked your lips and gave you a quick hug.

"Well, you've been very stressed lately and I also noticed that you haven't taken some time to rest! So I'm here to make sure you relax! You need to be healthy and you probably have only been eating junk food so I also cooked some food for you! And you also need to slee-"

You didn't get to finish the sentence because Theo tackled you in a hug. Theo looked you in the eyes and he almost teared up. How could he be so lucky! You cared about him so much like no one has before. You weren't someone to mess up your sleeping schedule and he knew it, but you came here to him in the wee hours of the morning. He realized at that exact moment that he loved you and you were definitely the one for him.

Keeho:

Keeho was thrilled because he hadn't seen you in quite some time because of his busy schedule, but today he was free and you decided to meet him in the dorm to spend some quality time together and he was more than excited to have you in his arms.

"Baby!" He said as you arrived and hugged him tight.

"Hi bub!" You said as you kissed his cheek tenderly.

"Let's go up to my room!" Keeho said as he excitedly extended his hand out to you (a/n: as I was writing this, Nemonade started playing hsisjs this is unrelated to the imagine, but just wanted to said this song is a certified bop lmao) and you took it immediately.

You guys went up to his room and as he closed the door he started kissing you all over your face, something he did when he had missed you.

"I missed you sooooo much! You have no idea!" He said as he planted a big kiss on your lips and you giggled while reaching into your bag.

"I missed you too you big baby! And by the way, I got you something!" You said as you gor a pair of sunglasses out of your bag.

"OH MY GOD! HOW DID YOU KNOW I WANTED THESE GLASSES? I LOVE THEM!!!" He said as he gladly took them and put them on while striking random poses and making you laugh.

"Well, the last time we went on a date I remember you looking at them while we were shopping and you looked at them with stars in your eyes, so how wouldn't I know!" You said as you wore an expression of endearment as you looked at your boyfriend who managed to look fine in everything.

"You're the best really! I aprecciate you so much!" He said as he hugged you lovingly. He hadn't said it to you but at that moment he felt gos heart beat faster than It ever had before. It wasn't the fact that you brought him something. It was the fact that you noticed the small details and that you could read him so well. At that moment Keeho knew. Keeho knew he was in love. Keeho knew you were the love of his life.

Jiung:

You were sleeping over at your boyfriend's dorm. It was the first time you slept in the same bed as Jiung, but honestly it was so cozy. He was so warm and his embrace just made you feel inner warmth as well and you swore that was the best sleep you've ever had!

You woke up before Jiung and took your time in admiring his features. He was so ethereal even when he was sleeping. You couldn't believe how lucky you were in finding such an amazing guy. Jiung was everything to you and you couldn't imagine your life without him.

You got up without waking Jiung up and decided to head to the kitchen to make breakfast as a way to thank him for everything! You went to the the kitchen in Jiung's oversized shirt and shorts and as the others weren't home you decided to play some music while cooking.

You were so into dancing and singing happily to End it (a/n: A BOP) while making breakfast that you didn't notice Jiung standing behind you as he watched you with heart eyes.

He looked at you with so much love. At first he was kind of sad that you left the bed before him, but all of the sadness left his body as he observed you being so immersed in the music while wearing his clothes.

He couldn't thank his lucky stars enough. He was so happy to have found you. And right now, as you were in such a domestic moment he couldn't help but realize that he loved you. You were the love of his life. And he wouldn't have it any other way.

Intak:

You and Intak were hanging out in his room just talking and cuddling, when you got into a conversation about how you guys were feeling about work and stress.

As Intak started speaking of the stress he was feeling with the comeback being so near he couldn't help but start crying because of feeling so overwhelmed.

"Oh Tak! Come here baby!" You said as you hugged as tight as you could while rocking him back and forth while kissing his head.

"I can't even begin to imagine how stressed you feel. I wish you could just pass the burden to me! I hate seeing you so upset! But, in the end, all of your hard work will pay off! It always does, and you know why?" You asked as Intak looked at you in the eyes as you wiped one of his tears with the pad of your thumb.

"Because you're Hwang Intak! You're an amazing artist! You're incredibly talented and passionate. You love what you do and it shows! You're going to rock this comeback like you always do! And I'll be here to help you throughout everything!"

By the end of your little encouraging speech Intak started crying harder. Don't get the poor boy wrong though. He started crying because your words made him so happy. He knew you cared about him, but he didn't know that you vocalizing it would make him realize everything. He realized he loved you and that he wanted to be by your side forever.

Soul:

You and Soul were watching a movie and honestly you guys weren't that interested in it. You were talking about your goals for the future and whatever went through your minds at that moment.

The conversation went on for a while until you felt Shota's head laying heavily in your shoulder and realized he fell asleep. God he looked so cute! You played with his hair softly until the movie ended and then you decided to make him comfortable on the couch or else he would wake up with a cramping neck.

You layed him down gently on the couch and you might not have noticed, but when you went to get a blanket to cover him he woke up and looked at you. When he saw you coming back he decided to close his eyes and pretended to be asleep to see what you would do.

You came back and tucked him in the blanket so that he could sleep well. You squatted on the floor and caressed his cheek softly for a while. You were about to get up when Soul spoke.

"Stay with me!"

And you couldn't say no to your cute boyfriend so you layed down next to him and cuddled him while listening to his steady heartbeat.

Soul looked down at you and and kissed your forehead softly while thing about how much you cared for him. Just thinking about it gave him butterflies. He was still young and had a lot of things he didn't understand, but one thing he did understand was that he was in love with you.

Jongseob:

You and Seobie were playing some video games in his room while catching up on what you guys have been doing lately. Jongseob suddenly cuddled closer to you and you could feel that he was shivering.

"Seobie you're shivering! Let me get you a hoodie." You said as you grabbed your bag and handed him his hoodie that you loved wearing.

"But you said you weren't going to give it back!" Seobie said kind of confused as he put it on.

"Well, I'm not giving it back. But you're cold and the hoodie is loosing your smell so it's a great oportunity to kill two birds with one stone!" You said as you played with the strings on his hoodie.

"So you wear my hoodies because they smell like me?" Jongseob asked as his smile grew wider.

"Of course I do! They help a lot when you're working and need to be away for a long time. That way one part of you is always with me and I feel safer in a certain way." You said as you grew shy of your sudden confession.

"Just when I thought you wouldn't get cuter!" Jongseob said as he kissed your cheek and hugged you tight.

No one ever made Jongseob feel this way. You always made Jongseob learn new things and today he leaned that he loved you dearly.

1. Next Level - Aespa May 17th

Might be a bit unexpected, I don’t really talk about Aespa on this blog, HOWEVER. I would be lying if I said, I don’t know all the lyrics and the whole choreography. Pretty sure my mom knows the lyrics, I play it so much. So Aespa ate this up and I think it’s deserving of number 1 for me. Aespa have the power to take sounds that I never in a million years would enjoy and make me enjoy them.

2. Zombie - Purple Kiss (Hide & Seek) September 8th

I needed this song so bad, you don’t understand. i love intense music but I really needed a break from heavy drops and seriousness. THen Purple Kiss decided to drop the most fun song. I love the colors, the campy music video, Swan’s voice and the choreography. It’s just so fun and it was on repeat for me for a while. Cast pearls before swine and ZzZz are great b-sides off the album.

3. Unnatural - WJSN (Unnatural) March 31st

I really practice my vocals when listening to this song, trying to match Yeonjung’s range lmao. I love this song so much. The choreography where they point and pat the air next to them is so iconic to me. I adore it so much. Sadly I haven’t checked out the album (shame I know, i will eventually) but it says enough that this song is so high when i haven’t even listened to the album. Stan WJSN for clean skin.

4. I’m Not Cool - HyunA (I’m Not Cool) January 28th

HYUNAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! Look Hyuna was the first woman in K-pop I ever listened too. I have such a special place in my heart for her. So when she dropped this banger I had it on repeat. The outfits, the drop, the choreo, it radiates Hyuna. She’s weird and fun and everything I wanna be so she dropped this and I was so incredibly happy. I recommend: Good Girl and Party, Feel, Love (Ft. Dawn) on the album.

5. We Go - Fromis_9 (9 way ticket) May 17th

The most fun girlgroup summer song. The definition of a fun summer song. It reminds me of editing my vacation pictures, it reminds me of driving down to the beach with the windows rolled down. The girls all looked so cute too and the song is so good and upbeat. The concept photos were also amazing and managed to incorporate covid related things without depressing me. Airplane Mode is such a fun song too!

6. First - Everglow (Last Melody) May 25th

Girl groups who dress like they’re in Star Wars, they win. Everglow is the winner winner winner. First has so many things I like about it. THe outfits, the heavy drop, the futuristic vibe, the special effects, THE CHOREOGRAPHY. Everglow truly never disappoint. I listen to this song so much. Don’t ask don’t tell is also a great song.

7. Alcohol Free - Twice (Taste of Love) June 11th

Fun fact: I didn’t like this song at first and now it’s probably my most listened to Twice song. I thought it sounded like a travel agency commercial and now I love it so much it’s hysterical. All the girls look so incredibly stunning, I love summer concepts on them the most. They always look like they’re glowing. Nayeon really stood out to me in this one though, she looked so beautiful. Aside from that the song is just really fun. Scandal and Conversation are my fav b-sides on the album.

8. Love so Sweet - Cherry Bullet (Cherry Rush) January 20th

FNC give these girls a comeback thank you very much. This is the first Cherry Bullet song that grabbed me and pulled me in. I get it stuck in my head soooo much and I think about Remi 24/7. The choreography is so fun, it’s such a lowkey song. I adore. Keep Your Head Up is my favorite b-side on the album and deserving of it’s own album. Stan Cherry Bullet!!!!

9. BEcause - Dreamcatcher (Summer Holiday) july 30th

BEcause I like Dreamcatcher all of their songs are a hit. This one reminded me of Dreamcatcher debut era a little more than their more recent comebacks and I think that is why I enjoyed it so much. Not to mention HANDONG, thank you that is all.... OH, Airplane is my favorite b-side, it’s cute and fresh.

10. Savage - Aespa (Savage) October 5th

Aespa, my girls. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy Aespa as much as I do, really. I heard about their concept pred-debut and got really concerned but I ended up really, really, really liking them. Their album was phenomonal too. It showed really fun sides to their music. So it’s natural for this one to be on the list too. Aenergy and Yeppi Yeppi are my most listened to b-sides on the album. Yeppi Yeppi really being my favorite.

11. Queendom - Red Velvet (Queendom) August 16th

Red Velvet finally came back. Alot of people didn’t think it was worth the wait, but I did.I love that they came back with the red concept. I love Queendom so much, it’s such an empowering song. Not to mention they all looked so cute and their outfits were so adorable and the whole little witchy concept was so great. Pose was the best song on the album to me.

12. Chi Mat Ba Ram - Brave Girls (Summer Queens) June 17th

We are gonna be summer queens! The title is up for grabs so I’m totally okay with them taking the title. I love songs like this so summery and fun. I’m so glad Brave Girls is getting the recognition they deserve, I really hope it lasts. Pool Party (ft. E-Chan) and Summer By Myself are my favorite songs on the album. Brave Girls man, just love that they’re doing the damn thing.

13. Odd Eye - Dreamcatcher (Dystopia: Road to Utopia) Januray 26th

DREAMCATCHER!!!!!!!! Okay Handong coming back was such a blessing. Odd Eye is such a bop and blonde Siyeon was such a serve. Dreamcatcher always serve though, the rock elements in their songs always hit so hard. Odd eye was a great addition to their Dystopia series. Poison Love is my favorite b-side off the album.

14. Hwaa - (G)i-dle (I burn) January 11th

One of the first (G)i-dle songs that instantly got me. I think the concept is just so stunning and they all looked beautiful. I think I loved the traditional vibes in this song the most, it just really got me. I adore how Minnie and Miyeon’s voices sounded in this song. I didn’t listen to the album so I can’t recommend b-sides, but check it out regardless.

15. Red Lipstick (ft. Yoonmirae) - Lee Hi (4 Only) September 9th

Misses Lee Hi returned and dropped this banger. This is my dance in the shower song tbh. Her voice is just unmatched and disco suits her so well. Not to mention Yoonmirae’s great addition in the song, they should collaborate wayyyyy more often. Savior (ft. B.I) and Only are great songs on the album.

Purple Kiss ‘Ponzona’ March 15th

They served creepy, vocals and a not intense in your face drop and I loved it. Swan I want your hand in marriage for your vocals in this song. It’s laced with crack.

Pixy ‘Wings’ February 24th

They served creepy, vocals and an intense drop with screams in it. Look I love creepy girls and they freak me out so it’s great. All of their releases have been sooooo amazing so far, so I’m curious to see how they’ll continue.

Rosé ‘Gone’ March 12th

Controversial but I love Gone soooooo much more than On the Ground. I love her voice and the feeling this song gives me. Not to mention the whole vibes of music video and how pretty she looked. There’s so much raw emotion in it that it qualifies for my favorite solo debut.

Keeho took you on dinner after his comeback with boys. It was a fancy restaurant. He's been watching you for a while because you seemed silent and nervous.

"Pumpkin, what's wrong with you?" he asked you carefully. You didn't answer at first because you were shocked by the prizes on the menu.

"Pumpkin, what's wrong with you?" he asked again, meeting your shocked eyes.

"Actually, I'm not hungry at all," you said, placing the menu on the table.

"Before we got here, you said how hungry you are. So I ask you one last time. What's wrong?" Keeho looks at you with a confused look.

"Everything costs insanely too much, even the salads. I don't want to cost you a fortune," you said, sanctifying your head to avoid his gaze. He lets out a chuckle.

"Pumpkin, I have enough money to buy you this dinner with dessert, then take you to the movies with a ton of popcorn and coke. Don't be shy and order anything you want."

Theo

Your boyfriend asked you if you want to go out and eat some delicious food since you have a lot of assignments. So you said yes because you were exhausted and want to relax. You met at your favorite burger's place, where you met, by the way, and where you went on your first date.

"Hi, princess. I a, so hungry! I haven't eaten since breakfast because I'm ready to eat until I have to unbutton my pants how much I would overeat," Theo kissed you on the cheek. You giggled while you hugged him tightly. He intertwined his fingers with you, and then you finally entered the restaurant where no one but you and the staff was.

"Our best customers are back, welcome. As usual or something extra?" the kind old lady asked with a big smile on her lips.

"For me as usual and for you, Y/N?" Theo bumped into your hip. You looked upon the food menu, staring at onion rings with a sauce. But you ended up picking your usual.

"As usual for me too," you said, exhaling deeply.

"Are you sure? I saw you looking at something more," the lady gasped.

"Add double onion rings with your great sauce," Theo winked at the lady. You gave him a surprised look.

"Why are you suddenly shy? You know you can order anything," he smiled at you, hugging you around the shoulders.

"I know but, I may gain weight after all this junk food," you sighed.

"Oh, come on. I ordered double onion rings. Let's gain weight together."

Jiung

It was Saturday night when you came into the boys' dorm for a movie marathon. You were sitting on the couch all together watching some scary movie, which wasn't scary at all. Jiung was cuddling with you, but then, suddenly, your stomach made a loud noise because you hadn't eaten yet.

"Oh my god, sunshine, why did you don't tell me you're hungry?" Jiung looked at you worriedly.

"Let's order something! Chicken? Pizza? Or something else?" Intak asked, grabbing his phone, ready to call somewhere.

"I'd like some salad, please," you said shyly. You know the guys for a few weeks, but you were shy to eat before them.

"Sunshine, don't be shy, let's order that fabulous chicken we had last time at yours."

Intak

You love desserts so does Intak. A new bakery near fnc opened a few days ago, and you planned to go there and eat anything that caught your eye. All those cakes, muffins, rolls, biscuits, cakes shouted "eat me" at you. You looked up at Intak, seeing his sparkling eyes and a bright smile on his lips.

"Oh my god, I can't decide what to order. What about you, sweetie?" he asked, whining.

"I was thinking about the strawberry cake," you pointed at the great looking piece of cake. You avoided Intak's gaze because you were also interested in a coconut roll with chocolate icing.

"Only that? I saw you looking at more than that," he tilted his head to the side and frowned at you.

"The coconut roll looks so good, but I don't have enough money with me. So yeah, only that piece of cake," you nodded, stepping from foot to foot.

"Really? You know I invited you to our candy-filled date, so don't say anything about money. I promised to pay for anything we liked. So The strawberry cake and coconut roll?"

Soul

Another date with Soul went like this: you met at your house, then you walked a little bit around your neighborhood, and the last stop you made, was visiting McDonald's. Soul was talking about the fries all way there.

"What do you want to order? Nuggets, fries, some wrap or happy meal?" his eyes were sparkling, warming your heart. He's so cute when he's talking about the food.

"Can I have only one wrap, please?" you looked at him with a small smile because you weren't THAT hungry to eat all of the food.

"Oh. I thought I'd buy you a happy meal, and then we'd argue about the toy inside," he said with a sigh.

"Maybe I change my mind. I'd like to have a happy meal. Can I, please?"

Jongseob

Jongseob invited you on a tacos date. So you thought it was going to be a date, but when you saw Kee and Theo, you realized it wasn't going to be a normal date. It will be another date full of tricky questions and interrogations about your relationship. You greeted with a shy smile. You haven't felt so good enough to eat in front of them yet. You went inside, looking for a free table to sit at. When you all sat down you look at all the beautiful looking tacos.

"I can't decide which to choose. Can someone help me choose, maybe you, Y/N?" Theo looked at you with a polite smile.

"The chicken tacos and beef tacos are awesome, but the spicy mixed tacos are great too," you said shyly, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.

"So which one are you gonna pick?" Jongseb smiled at you from ear to ear.

"I'll take the chicken one," you put the menu on the table.

"Are you sure you want only one? You always take at least two," your boyfriend looked at you surprised.

"If you're shy because of us, we're sorry. Don't be shy because you belong to us now."

Business Trip - Pt 12: Answers

Mina’s eyes finally lift from her notebook, and you are struck the beauty of the young woman - it is a beauty that would not be out of place in a fashion magazine or in a painting in some Japanese history museum. The young lawyer is wearing a short black dress with a plunging neckline, and you found your eyes wandering a little towards the delicious looking cleavage and the creamy, pale vanilla skin of her upper chest.

“I’ve already told you this, but boys aren’t my preference,” she says with a soft tone, “although I do make an exception here and there for… special men.”

“This is our proof.”

At your nod, Park Choa clicks her mouse, bringing up a picture on the large flat screen TV mounted to the meeting room wall. Seated around the large table in the middle of the room are yourself, Choa, Momo, Seolhyun, and Mina; sitting opposite your team are Tzuyu and Sana, the former with an unimpressed, arrogant look on her young features - the latter with a blank, emotionless look on hers.

On the screen is a picture of a battery pack - one of relatively common design, at least externally. But on the side is a small label; such a small thing, but something that would have a massive impact on the fate of two companies and the lives of many dozens of its employees.

“This device,” you continue, “was lent to me by one of your employees several months ago. As you will see, the label reads: Minatozaki Sana.”

A hush falls over the room at the revelation. There it was, clear as day - proof that Tzuyu’s company’s tech was stolen, and proof that Sana was complicit in the theft of said data from Seolhyun’s company.

“We have reason to believe that this device actually contained a hacking program that used the connection my cell phone had to our network to break into our servers and steal the intellectual property that you presented as your own yesterday.”

“That’s not proof at all,” Tzuyu retorts, “that could be any battery pack. There’s no proof whatsoever that it’s any sort of data theft device. For all I know, you bought that this morning and slapped a label with my employee’s name on it.”

“I figured you’d say that,” you answer, and you nod once more to Choa, who switches the display to show a Skype window. On the screen is a young woman, her blue-green hair and circular rimmed glasses making her look a little like she stepped out of an anime or video game.

“This is our IT analyst, Yoo Jeongyeon,” you say, “and she has had some time to retrieve the device from my apartment and analyze its contents. Jeongyeon?”

“The battery pack has been modified to house a hacking device,” Jeongyeon begins, adjusting the large glasses on her nose, “it’s been programmed to hack into the network of any portable device it’s plugged into, before identifying, copying, and transmitting selected data from the host device’s network to a secure server.”

“Jeongyeon, was there any specific data on the device that indicates where the data was sent to?”

“Yes. Server records indicate it was sent to a secure server in Taiwan. I’ve contacted internet service providers both here and in Taiwan, and they have corroborated the transfer of data. The secure server is housed in a building that is owned by Chou Tzuyu’s company. This is all indisputable, unedited hard data that I can send to anyone who wants to see it.”

All eyes turn to Tzuyu, and it was obvious that the young woman was expending a significant amount of effort to remain composed in the face of her accusations.

“Thank you, Jeongyeon,” you say, and the aloof young woman on the screen nods before taking a swig of what appeared to be an energy drink and closing her connection.

“This is preposterous,” Tzuyu says, dismissing Jeongyeon’s statements with a wave of her hand, “and downright offensive. We don’t have to sit here and listen to your baseless accusations. We came here out of professional courtesy, but we don’t have to sit here and simply take this.”

The young woman rises from her chair, anger twisting her youthful features into a scowl.

“Let’s go, Sana,” she says, looking at the seated Japanese girl next to her, who thus far had been silent and wearing an expressionless mask.

“Before you go,” Seolhyun says, the anticipation of revenge palpable in her voice, “you should know that we are planning to sue the shit out of you for hacking a private server, intellectual property theft, and whatever else the fuck it takes to make you regret ever messing with me and my company.”

“Miss Miyoui, if you will,” you add, and at that Mina, who is also present, reaches into her folder and produces a thick stack of paper, which she slides across the table.

“We will see you in court,” Mina says, her tone as confident as ever, “and I will beat you.”

“You? You think you can beat a multi million dollar team of lawyers in court? You, alone?” Tzuyu says, the words almost a hiss.

“Yes, me,” Mina retorts, her face as serene and calm as ever, “I will wipe the floor with you and your company, no matter how many stuck up, expensive lawyers you throw at me. And when I’m done, your company won’t want anything to do with someone who did something as stupid as steal a rival’s tech. Not only will you never work in this industry again; I’ll also make sure you end up in jail.”

“Not to mention that public opinion will against your parent company very quickly,” Hirai Momo adds, “we’ll put our proof out into the public. Social media will take it from there, and not only will your division lose any sort of foothold you may have gained in this industry - your entire parent company will take a reputation hit it probably won’t ever recover from. You’d be making some powerful enemies.”

a/n: i’m really tired right now so i haven’t proof read this yet. maybe i’ll do it in the morning. the writing is probably going to be shitty because i’ve rushed it a bit and am literally about to fall asleep but if it’s too bad, when i proof read it, i’ll fix some bits up! sorry for the wait @jsnyoung but thank you for requesting!!

“What do you guys think I’m doing today?” Jaeyoon asks his fans as he waits for your call. Today, Jaeyoon is getting you, his girlfriend, to help with his “I can do it” live series. He’s going to cook a three-course meal of your choice with you guiding him through the phone. What he doesn’t know, however, is that you’re planning on getting him to make one of the courses the same meal that you and him had ordered on your first date.

“’Are you going to make something?’ Good question! As a matter of fact, yes, I am making something! And hopefully it turns out okay... if not, blame y/n!” Jaeyoon laughs as he reads comments, awaiting your phone call.

“ ‘When are you going to start? What are you going to make?’ Well... honestly, I’m not even sure what I’m going to make. Today, y/n is going to tell me what to make over the phone so I’ll start as soon as she calls!” Jaeyoon smiles at the camera as he awaits your call. ring He picks up on the first ring, eager to get started.

“Angel you’re going on speaker and I’m live, okay? I mean you already know that but I’m just reminding you.” Jaeyoon says quietly into the phone before turning back to the camera and introducing you. “Fantasy, as some of you probably know, this is my girlfriend. Y/n say hi to Fantasy!”

“Hi” You say happily as you get a recipe for what Jaeyoon is going to make. “Today, our Jaeyoon is going to make a three-course meal! With the hepl of yours truly, of course.” Jaeyoon laughs into the phone at your statement as he questions you on what it is that he’s actually meant to be making.

“I’m glad you asked, Jae. Well, for the appetizer, it’s a chicken salad. It’s easy enough so you shouldn’t need too much guidance, or at least, I hope not.” You tease him. Jaeyoon starts getting what he needs from the fridge and cupboard as you read out the comments. “ ‘Jaeyoon should cook for Fantasy!’ ‘y/n should be in his lives more!’ ‘Eat well!’ Thank you for the last one! Also yes, Jaeyoon should totally cook for you guys and feature me in his lives more often!” “Nuh-uh, princess! You’ll take all my fans away!” You laugh at this as you jokingly tell him that he might be right before instructing him on what to put in the salad and how much.

Soon enough, Jaeyoon’s finished with the first course and puts it in the fridge for later. “Angel, what’s next?” He asks you just as you get a recipe up for the next meal. “Well, my dear boyfriend, I’m sure you’d be familiar with this one. If you remember what we had on our first date, that is!” You say excitedly into the phone as you tell him what he needs. “Okay... I’m sure Jae already knows what he’s making but Fantasy, in case you haven’t guessed already, it’s a creamy tuscan chicken! We actually had this on our first date so it’s pretty special for him to make this.” “Here we go again... y/n being hopelessly romantic!” Jaeyoon laughs as he begins to season the chicken. “Jaeyoon! Look, your fans think it’s cute!” It’s as if Jaeyoon can hear your pout over the phone as you complain about him calling you hopelessly romantic. “Angel, don’t worry, I think it’s cute too!” “I know” You giggle.

Jaeyoon heats the oil in the pan and starts placing the chicken in. “You know, I’m doing pretty good. If I do say so myself!” Jaeyoon smiles proudly at the camera. “Oh! I should tell Fantasy about that one time you nearly burnt the FNC building down!” You say with a smirk, although no one could see it. “Will you ever stop teasing me for it?” “Nope!” You say as he flips the chicken over. “Look, all of your fans want to know what happened! Can I tell them? Please?” You ask. “Fine!” He draws out the syllables. “I mean you were going to anyway, weren’t you?” “Yeah I was!” You laugh at the slight redness on your boyfriends cheeks.

“Well, one day I was over at the dorm hanging out with Jae and the guys and he decided to make ramen! Now, he’s not a bad cook, considering he’s only ever used recipes. Anyways, we all decided to watch a movie. It was about half way through when Jaeyoon decided he wanted to make the ramen so he got up and did that. He’d left the ramen in the water for a bit and came back to see what was happening as he let it cook. Jae must have lost track of time because all of a sudden, Chani comes in and asks “Hyung, what’s that smell?” We all turned towards the kitchen as we saw smoke and Jae realized what he’s done. It was so funny! All of a sudden, Youngbin, Zuho, Jaeyoon and Rowoon all rushed to the kitchen while Dawon recorded and Inseong, Taeyang, Hwiyoung, Chani and myself burst out laughing. It turns out the ramen had been left for too long and had caught on fire so Youngbin, Zuho and Rowoon had to put it out. It’s safe to say that Rowoon sticks to cooking in the dorms now. Hey Jae, ask Dawon if he still has the video!” You laugh at the memory as you read the comments on Jaeyoon’s live. Fantasy all find it funny, too.

Jaeyoon’s already added the garlic, onions, tomatoes and spinach into the mix and is now putting the cream, salt and pepper into it. “Well it looks like I’m a much better cook now since there’s no fire this time! Y/n, do you know what you want me to make for dessert? I’m nearly done with this, angel.” Jaeyoon says as he adds the last ingredients - parmesan cheese and parsley - and stirs the mixture before mixing it one last time and putting the creamy chicken into the oven so it stays warm.

“As a matter of fact, I do know what to make next! How does Brownies sound?” You laugh as you see his face light up on the live. “Sounds perfect!” Jaeyoon says as he gets everything he needs to make them. You and him have made brownies together so many times that it’s just muscle memory now. The recipe is implanted in both of your heads. You smile while watching his live as he starts making them without needing any instructions.

“We have to make brownies when you come over again, y/n. It’s our thing.” Jaeyoon says as he pops them into the oven and turns back to the live, smiling as he starts reading comments. “ ‘Jaeyoon how are you?’ ‘What have you eaten today?’ ‘What’s everyone else doing?’ Okay firstly, I’m good, how about you? Second, I’ve had a few snacks but when these brownies are done, y/n should be here and we’ll eat them together. Speaking of which, y/n, you can get off the phone now and come over! Third, honestly I’m not sure what everyone else is doing. I think they’re just relaxing.” After Jaeyoon finishes what he was saying, you quickly tell him that you’re heading over now before getting into your car and driving over to the dorms.

“Boo!”

“Y/N! You scared me!”

“Yeah that was the whole point!” You laugh as Jae calms his heartbeat.

“You clear the bench and I’ll get the brownies out, Jae.” You call out to him, already making your way over to the oven.

“Well thank you so much for joining me for another episode of “I can do it” today, Fantasy! I’ll feature y/n in lives more if you want? As it turns out, I’m a pretty good cook. We’d better get going now before the food gets cold! Bye bye Fantasy! Goodnight or morning! See you later!” And with that, your boyfriend ends the live.

“Jae, I’ve got to admit, this all looks amazing! Let’s eat!” You say as you portion the food. Jaeyoon brings the plates over to the living room where he places the food on a table and moves couch pillows out of the way so the two of you can sit there.

“Why are we eating on the couch today? I thought Bin didn’t want us to make it messy.” You ask, bringing extra napkins in case anything spills.

“Well, angel, I want to cuddle while we eat brownies and sitting at the kitchen table’s not really ideal in that scenario, is it? Besides, it’s comfy here.” Jaeyoon smiles up at you as he puts the salad bowl and two forks between you. You smile up at him as you eat the salad he made, proud of your boyfriend’s cooking skills... even if this is just a salad. Soon enough you’ve both finished and are onto the second of the three courses.

“Jae is amazing!” You say as you take a bite of the creamy chicken. It really does taste good. Now you’re even prouder of him! You’ve both moved onto dessert now and Jaeyoon moves the plate of brownies to the side before patting the space next to him.

“Come here, angel.” He says with a pout. You move closer to your boyfriend and lean on him as he wraps his arms around your frame. The two of you stay like that for a while, finding comfort in each other’s warmth and taking in the faint smell of brownies and him.

“Thanks for helping me today, princess. You’re an amazing instructor” Jaeyoon giggles, his voice calming and soft like honey.

“You’re welcome, baby! You’re an amazing cook.” You retort with a smile and small giggle as a content sigh leaves your lips, and Jaeyoon pulls you closer, the both of you staying in this position and eventually falling asleep to the sound of the other’s heartbeat.

bye bye 2020, hello 2021 !!

happy new year everyone!! there’s a lot of people i want to thank for making last year so much more bearable so i tried writing some messages for some of my dearest mutuals this year as well!! (keyword tried because i absolutely cannot put my feelings and thoughts into words. i love you all though and thank you so so so much!!!)

@angelhyunjin : angi!! i know you’re not on here anymore (actually i just found out . i ran to twt to find u as quick as i could!!) but it felt weird not?? putting you on here because you WERE a big part of my year!! i was always excited to chat with you and i rlly rlly loved (still do) seeing your art and your dance covers i can’t believe how talented at both you are!! you are really really lovely and even if it’s been a while i hope you know i still think of you and hope you’re doing well!! this year might have been hard but i hope 2021 will be much nicer to you because you definitely deserve it!! i love you!!

happy two years to cherry bullet ! it feels like it’s been so long and so short at the same time. i can’t believe it’s their second anniversary already , i’m so proud of how far they’ve come. one of their first videos was their performance of snsd’s into the new world , where they sung during the practice. i remembered thinking about how talented they were , and now in 2021 , they’ve only continued to get better. i opened this blog almost two years ago as well. there were a lot of hard times , there were times where it felt like fnc would just let cherry bullet fade away. there were tons of times everything just felt so uncertain. at times it was hard not to be worried that if we didn’t reach a certain goal , or if there wasn’t enough support from fans , there wouldn’t be much of a future. i was really worried that they would become another girl group i adored that would slip away quietly , and it was hard to keep posting at times especially with how i felt about fnc and how cb was being treated. i’m sorry for that ... but now , finally , we have a new album , a new and interesting sound , and a title that has the potential to get really big. i hope that love so sweet will bring new fans and more support to for the girls. and i hope they know how much lullets care for them , no matter what happens. they constantly work so hard and smile , reassuring us every time. i truly hope this year will be even better for them , and they’ll be able to do all of the things that they want. after two years of hard work and growth , they deserve so much. thank you for supporting cherry bullet. thank you for supporting my blog as well ? i can’t do translations or anything like that , but it makes me happy to see your comments and thoughts , and to see when there are new people joining the fandom. cherry rush is just the start of an amazing year for the girls.

A solo stan who is thinking about checking other groups out?

There is nothing wrong with being a solo stan (as in only liking 1 group) as long as you are kind and courteous to other groups.

Also this post might not be for you.

But if you are a solo stan (usually starting with BTS) or just in need of finding new groups and thinking about spreading your wings here are some suggestions. 🙂

When I first got into kpop way back in the 2010 years I had no clue what I had stumbled on and I only liked 2 groups max for the longest time because I didnt know about any other groups. Since then I’ve come to love so many groups that I wish I knew about sooner.

Now mind you. I am primarily a boy group stan so there are not a lot of girl groups on her so please forgive me. -*edit I’ve decided to do a part 2 of just girl groups so stay tuned

Youngbin:

If you were alone, a picnic at night in the park would have never happened but when Youngbin came up with the idea to go for a night picnic together, you couldn’t resist. The idea was cute and the fact that he had put it all together made it even better.

So there you were, laying on a blanket and staring at the night sky with Youngbin’s arm around you. “The stars are so pretty.” You said softly, admiring them as his fingers drew shapes in your sides. He smiled, gesturing to a cluster of stars. “Those over there, those are the prettiest. So bright.” You turned your head to look at his face as he spoke because he sounded so happy. Which he really was, a huge smile on his face as he turned to look at you too.

“Thank you for doing this with me.”

Inseong:

“You see that constellation over there?” He asked with a small smile. You curled into his side, with his jacket over your shoulders. “No but it is really pretty. Do you know what constellation it is?” You asked, smiling at him as he stared at the stars. “No, I was hoping you would know.” He remarked and you started laughing, moving away from his side.

“You’re the smartest dummy I know, you know?” You said and moved to lay with your head in his lap. Inseong watched you as you did, instantly going to run his fingers through your hair.

“The smartest dummy you know? I’ll take it. As long as I’m the only dummy you’ll date.”

Jaeyoon:

It was only a short walk from the resturaunt back to Jaeyoon’s dorm but the night sky was just so pretty. Your arms were linked with his as you pulled him to sit on a bench and stare at the sky. “What’re you doing?” He asked with a slight laugh as you pulled him down. “The sky is just pretty and so are the stars. Let’s just sit for a minute.” You explained and allowed your head to rest on his shoulder.

You felt his lips on the top of your head as you simply stared at the stars, making you smile and snuggle into him more. “Nights like these you’re supposed to enjoy.” You said softly and then gestured to a really bright star. “I’m pretty sure that one is a planet.” Jaeyoon nodded, just admiring the bright smile on your face as you looked at the sky. His hand came up and cupped your chin, so that you looked at him.

“Thank you for being this precious.”

Dawon/Sanghyuk:

Your dates with Sanghyuk were regularly very active, so something relaxed like this was a breath of fresh air. A moment to just simply sit and look up and well that’s what you were doing, on top of the FNC building with a blanket and a bottle of wine. He had his head in your lap and you were almost convinced he was falling asleep.

“Please tell me you aren’t sleeping on our date.” You said, laughing with disbelief and he shrugged. “What? You bring me to a roof and feed me alcohol at night. It’s natural.” He said opening his eyes to lock with yours for a brief moment before closing them again. You shook your head with a smile before looking back at the stars. “Besides why would I need to look at the stars now… I see them in your eyes every day.”He said quickly, trying to surpress his own laughter. You went to lightly flick his forehead only for him to dodge with a side eye.

“Yeah remind me to never do anything sweet or romantic for you again.”

Zuho/Juho:

Inspiration block was a serious crime… will not really, but in Juho’s mind it was. He was strung out because of it and there were only a few ways you could think of to get inspiration flowing. “I don’t think this will work.” He mumbled as you dragged him to ‘the perfect spot’ with your little picnic basket and blanket in hand. “Be optimistic.” You said, making your little spread on the ground before sitting down and patting the spot next to you.

“You don’t have to do anything, you don’t have to talk or pay me any mind. Just needed a change of scenery and look at the stars for a little bit.” You said as he made himself comfortable. Juho couldn’t help but smile, it was quite the sweet action and your intentions were just so sweet. ‘Come here.” He said softly, gesturing for to get a little closer to you before meeting you half way and kissing your lips sweetly.

“Thank you.”

Rowoon/Seokwoo:

He liked a good fancy date, he loved a good fancy date and that was good and well. But sometimes, sometimes you just need to be casual and playful and that was what today was for you. You had basically spent the whole afternoon in the park. Having packed some drinks and ordered some food for dinner inbetween playing some games and just relaxing. However it had managed to get dark quite quickly.

“We should probably go.” Seokwoo said, going to clean up until you placed a hand on his arm stopping him. “I have a better idea… we should stay a little longer and look at the stars.” You pouted and he quickly dropped everything he grabbed, being absolutely defenseless to your puppy eyes. “Stargazing… I like stars, why not?” He asked and repositioned himself on the ground with his arms open, ready for you to cuddle into him.

“I thought you wanted to look at the stars, so come cuddle with me and look at the stars.”

Taeyang:

“Time to wrap things up.” The staff called as they started to clean up the lighting supplies that littered the rooftop. Taeyang had long changed into his comfy clothes again and was waiting to go home after filming a night time dance video. He had found his way to you, watching as you stared at the sky. “You ready to go home?” He asked and you shook your head ‘no’.

“No? We’ve been here for hours.” He wasn’t wrong but god, the night sky was so pretty and you knew he hadn’t had the chance to enjoy it because he had been busy the whole time. “The night sky is so just so pretty. Maybe we can stay behind a little longer… stare at the stars.” You asked him with a soft smile and Taeyang looked down at the ground, feeling shy suddenly. You simply blinked at him and he slipped his jacket off, placing it over your shoulders.

“You stay here and stay warm, I’ll go ask the managers.”

Hwiyoung/Youngkyun:

He always wondered how you came up with such sweet date ideas, it really made him want to step up his game. So he had planned a sweet dinner picnic and well, naturally it lead to you both laying on the ground, pointing to the sky not pointing out any constellations in particular but just stars that stood out.

“That one is just really big.” You said pointing to one, Youngkyun couldn’t really see and moved closer his face coming closer to yours. “Ah, that one. It could be a planet.” He said softly, not feeling the need to raise his voice any due to the close proximity of your faces. “It could be.” You said softly and looked at him before kissing the tip of his nose. “Thank you for this cute date.” You said softly and he couldn’t help but smile, covering his mouth as he did so.

“It’s not a problem. We should most definitely do it again sometime, especially if I get cute rewards like that.”

Chani/Chanhee:

Something about convenience store food made it taste so much better after midmight, especially ice cream. So when he asked if you wanted to go get some, you weren’t in a place to say no. Sitting on the benches outside of the convenience store, you couldn’t help you eyes from wandering upwards to the sky. There wasn’t a cloud in sight and the stars were just oh so visible.

“It’s so pretty out tonight.” You mumbled, placing your ice cream spoon in your mouth and just tracing the possible constellation with your finger in the sky. Chanhee watched, a small smile playing on his lips before joining in. “I don’t think you’re drawing constellations.” You commented, laughing and he shrugged, just joining in in the first place because he thought you looked cute.

“No, I know. I’m just playing connect the dots.”

[TRANS] K-Pop Pia Vol.10 (2020) “2019 FNC KINGDOM -WINTER FOREST CAMP” part 2/2 - interview with Jaejin

"You have to work super hard!", something that has become his motivation

Lee Jaejin will follow Lee Hongki, FTISLAND’s vocalist, to enlist on January 21. In FTISLAND, he is in charge of the bass, subvocals, and recently, composing too. (t/n: I don’t know what they meant with “recently”, Jaejin started writing for FTISLAND with I Believe Myself and that was back in 2009. He started composing for FTISLAND with Yume, and that was in 2011.) has finally released his own songs, 3 months before he makes his enlistment, through his first solo mini album, Scene.27.

Jaejin presented us with a world unique to him, a world of music that is different than that of FTISLAND’s. Using Jazz as the basis, his songs are filled with warmth and softness, the way that he as person is.

There were barely any chances for us to visit him for an interview during his tour to commemorate the release of his album, but we were finally able to visit his waiting room in Nagoya concert hall for his solo mini live and listen to his story. Starting with the release of his album, Scene.27 and following up with his solo live, we made an approach to Lee Jaejin’s artistry.

In KINGDOM, he still holds on to his belief that FT is still the best.

――This issue will be an FNC FAMILY exclusive, so we would like to talk about KINGDOM first. As one of the performers, is there anything that you look forward to?

First of all, I am looking forward to meet the FNC family after a long time. We don’t really have that many chances to meet like this. And when we do get to perform together, I could only think of “as expected, we are still the best!” (laughs) Hongki hyung always said, “I don’t wanna do KINGDOM”, but when we started to perform, his gaze would change. For us, we also look forward to perform together with CNBLUE, our good rivals. However, they still can’t beat us of course, at least for us, huhuhu, sorry CN (laughs)

――Ho! As expected of FNC’s first artists! What about the collaboration stages?

I like that we get to have many collaborations and perform together. I like stages where I can show my colors properly, and the experience of performing with members of the other teams is precious, that I think it would be nice to have more of this. This time, FTISLAND will have less power as Hongki isn’t here, but our juniors that sing well (N.Flying’s Seunghyub, Hweseung) have come to help, and N.Flying have also come to help to be my back band for my solo stages. I am looking forward to that. I am busy thanks to FTISLAND and my solo. (smiles).

As a soloist, it is the most important to be able to show how much I enjoy music

――Please tell us more about your solo album and tour. You have just finished your Tokyo concert. You previously said that “the completion of an album is its concert”, but in reality, how was it to be able to sing live in front of fans?

I was nervous (laughs). At first, after completing FTISLAND’s FIVE TREASURES TOUR with its encore concert “ARIGATO”, I wanted to take and dedicate some time to prepare and perfect the (solo) concert. However, suddenly I had to take over the I Loved You musical from Hongki hyung, so I had to manage doing the musical (in Korea) at the same time as my mini live in Japan. I still had preparations for the mini live, and there were things that didn’t go as well as I wished, but I was happy that I was able to perform at the musical. I worked hard on the preparations on my own, but when I did my first solo live in Tokyo, there were staffs and fans who put in so much efforts to help me, I thought one again, “ahh I have this many fans..”, “I can’t just let it be like this!”, “I have to crazily work hard for this!”, I was incredibly motivated. “Let’s do this!”, and that’s how I have become so much ambitious now. (laughs)

――I’m looking forward to it (smiles). You seemed really nervous during your first live in Tokyo?

On the first day, there were so many things that were unexpected to me. I have always performed as a band, but this time, I am performing a solo. That’s why, there are so many things that I didn’t know about. Not only that I had to change my singing techniques, but also how to center the sound that came through the in-ear monitors, a lot of details that had to be done differently. That’s why, no matter how many times that you did rehearsals, when the actual audience came in, unexpected things still bound to happen. So whenever I felt that I did a mistake, I would feel really nervous because of that. Especially, in the first concert, when I started singing, my voice came out too loud that I was surprised myself. And that’s why I became really nervous suddenly (laughs). I knew clearly that if I feel troubled by it from early on, it will just follow me around to the end, but I couldn’t shake off the feeling that I just wanted it to be the best.

――I could feel that by the night performance, you were already more relaxed.

Yes. I have been around for 12 years, I have an excellent adaptability (laughs). From now on too, I hope that I would be better and better in every concert.

――Jaejin is a bassist, but during your solo live, you only touched your bass once, during the Polar Star performance. How did it feel to perform without bringing along your bass?

As expected, I feel safer if I bring my bass~ (laughs). I have been doing live performances for 10-ish years which made me develop singing while playing my bass pose, so now that I have to sing without bringing along my bass, something just felt wrong to me. Even more, I was already too used to being in the position to support Hongki hyung, so it felt unfamiliar and strange that I was in the position to lead the band and everyone. As FT’s bassist, I have developed the mindset to play and have fun on my own, but now, not only that I have to be the main vocal, it had just been brought into my attention that it is important that I develop a good rapport with the audience as well. I wanted to apply this right away to my next live performances, but now that I have to enlist first, I guess it would have to wait (laughs).

Now that I have tried out being the main vocal, I could see the efforts that Hongki hyung put in.

――What kind of image that you want to show as a soloist?

I am still a rookie soloist, so I think that my top priority for now is to show what is it that I’m doing properly. That’s why, nowadays, I’m learning how solo artists engage the audience in the fun. I’ve been watching foreign R&B solo artists’ live these days. What I learned from there, is that they all instead of actively telling the audience “what”, they actually put importance on thoroughly enjoying the show themselves. I think they were so mature and cool, I want to do it like them too. Indeed, it’s also something that differentiate it with a band too. In a band, it is important to be able to harmonize, but as a soloist, you only need to 100% focus on yourself, I feel that it is important that you can show how much you enjoy the stage yourself.

――After trying out being a main vocal singing by yourself on stage, is there anything that you have come to realize in regards to Hongki as FTISLAND’s main vocal?

I have come to realize... a lot of things. In regards to doing recording for example, as I already said before, all this time, my responsibility has always been to support. But using the same singing methods as a main vocal, it actually turned out too weak, it just didn’t turn out well. In FTISLAND, Hongki and I not only have different vocal style, but we also hold different roles. I have been doing music for 12-ish years, but as expected, it is hard to be the main vocal.

――Then, how did you overcome it, being a main vocal?

I’m doing something that I really have never done, so I shared my worries with Hongki hyung who has a whole lot more experience on this, and I tried out a lot of different things too with him. However, he then had to go enlist (laughs) However, now that I have given this a try, I got a little more sense of responsibility. The responsibility not only to support, but also to lead. Once more, I feel how Hongki hyung is amazing.

――As expected, Hongki! like that (laughs)

That’s right (laughs). We also did musical practices together, and I asked him a lot of things like what has he been doing all this time (for the musical). I have come to know things like, “Ah Hongki hyung was doing something like this at that time..” or “Ah Hongki hyung has been working hard on this” that made my respect for him grew. I couldn’t help but to wish Hongki hyung for more strength as there were things that actually were too bothersome (laughs) but Hongki hyung put so much efforts into them - and he knows it himself too, that’s why he has such a great confidence in his singing.

――Ah, I also felt the same about Hongki when he became the vocal trainer in Produce 48.

Right? For Hongki hyung, 3/4 (of his talent) is something that he got naturally (laughs) but the other 1/4 is hard work that I didn’t know he put in until now.

――How would you like to advance as Jaejin, a vocalist?

I feel that being a vocalist is a new thing to me. I feel like I am starting over as a rookie. I am happy that I also get to do a musical during this rookie phase. I learned a lot from these people who are vocal experts. I also found out a lot of things that I want to fix, it turned out to be such a great experience. It also gave me a lot of motivation to advance myself.

――You are doing your musical while also doing your tour simultaneously, but I feel that your throat is doing just well.

No, it’s not well at all.

――I didn’t know.

Is that so? That’s a relief then.

Through FTISLAND and solo, I want to try out different characters.

――To sing the songs from your album live, are there any changes that you made from the original version?

I made some changes to Love Like The Films and Oasis. I sang Love Like The Films more softly when I did the recording, but for my live, if I sing it the same way, the sound of the band will overpower my voice. That’s why I sang it more strongly in the live. For Oasis, because it’s a cool sounding song, I thought that it would be better to arrange it more cleanly and tightly for the live performance, that’s why I made a bit of changes to the sound. I think it is just right to have the recording and the live versions sound differently.

――You also did the arrangement for FTISLAND’s live too, but for your solo live, what kind of arrangement that you had in mind?

If want my concert this time to have the mood of the album Scene.27. I said, let’s make it Jazz and ballad sounding.

――Among them, there is FT.Triple’s Love Letter, it made think of the old times.

That’s right. I also sang it after a long time. Fans were like “Oh! Love Letter?!” (laughs).

――Why did you select this song to be included in your first solo live?

It’s also one of the challenges that I took upon. I can’t do FT.Triple anymore now in FTISLAND, but it’s one song that is most well known with my voice as the main one, so I thought that it is a good opportunity to bring it back.

――You also did Polar Star, the song that Hongki said “I’m not gonna do it”.

Everyone likes it, right? I like it too, as it is a song that gives you the feeling of hope. As Hongki hyung already said no to performing it, I’m doing it instead (laughs).

――How was it, singing an FTISLAND song as your own?

I only played my bass for the Polar Star stage, and the fact that I sang it while playing the bass gave me the FTISLAND song feeling. It felt like I sang to support Hongki hyung, so it was like the feeling of meeting someone after a long time. I am working hard for my solo, but as expected, I want to be able to perform as FTISLAND again as soon as possible. Doesn’t everyone feel the same way?

――That’s right, that’s right. As I watched your Polar Star stage, I felt that, indeed, Jaejin is the best when playing bass.

Well, it can’t be helped. It’s something that I have been doing in the past 10 years (laughs).

――As we all miss the you that is playing bass, what about making a song that you can sing while playing bass?

No no no. The way that is used to catch the rhythm for bass and for vocals is different, so it is hard to play bass while singing the melody. That’s why I chose to not play bass during my solo live this time around. Adding to that, as Scene.27 has Jazz and R&B underlying to it, even just playing the bass is already hard, so to do both, for me it would be impossible~ (laughs) Indeed, I’m presenting different characters as FTISLAND and as a soloist.

When we tune in to each other in FTISLAND, I am just too focused that I can’t remember anything else.

I am working hard as a soloist, but indeed, I want to perform as FT again as soon as possible!

――As you embarked on your live tour, was it able to make you look back on the Scene.27 album?

I still don’t have a clear map on this, but I am starting to have a bit of direction that I want for my next album. For my next one, I have a certain music style that I want to try, as lately I have been listening to it.

――What direction is it to be exact?

It would still be Western style music like Scene.27 but with simpler melody and I will add more repetitive parts to it. I won’t pay attention much to the lyrics, the songs will be easy for everyone to sing along, something like songs that you can party with. But it’s not a concrete plan yet, for now, I am still gathering ideas. It’s because, in 2 years (note: after he finishes his military enlistment), I will prioritize FTISLAND first. And so, doing solo could be in plan in about 3 years from now. By then, my musical interests might have changed too. I have a lot that I want to do (laughs).

――Was it a new experience to be able to work with a band of Japanese musicians for your solo tour?

Yes. As expected, they have different styles in many ways compared to when I am in FT. In FTISLAND, as a bassist, I have a lot of challenges that I took on, there were a lot of cases where I went, “How should I do it?” that it gave me headache. In the band here, everyone is pro, and I am free to do anything. “Ah this is the feeling of being the main vocal (laughs). I only need to memorize the lyrics and sing. I don’t even have to do tuning, I don’t have to change my instruments too. I’m liking so much the freedom that I have.

――In 2019, you were not only lead a band as a soloist, you were also able to participate in N.Flying’s tour. Through this experience, were you able to see the good points of being in FTISLAND once again?

That’s right. I might be just boasting, but I did feel, “As expected, FTISLAND has an amazing vocalist!”.
