This never ever gets old. Watching it just slays me. As someone who plays multiple instruments including guitar I can attest to how this just isn’t that easy. He nails going into the solo and is playing all bar 1-2 bars. Plus he is pitch bending and nailing the rest.
Omg when he hits the whammy bar I actually .. just yeah. I need to watch it again. And again. And again.

I dreamed last night that I found a guitar with a whammy bar and tried playing Steve Vai's part of Ego Death by Polyphia on it. It sounded surprisingly good considering the fact that I don't know how to play guitar. But there was a really big gap between strums because obviously that was the case when I was trying to learn guitar 2 years ago and my subconscious remembered that. It's interesting how things you don't have experience in are easy in dreams, and things you do have experience in are hard.

For the first time, I have a guitar that can split coils and do surf guitar tone. I’ve been learning surf rock songs all weekend. My neighbors must be so sick of Walk Don’t Run and Wipe Out
#I even went to the store to play surf rock on a jazzmaster#the jazzmaster has huge frets though so I prefer the jaguar#I might have to get a jaguar or jagstang that can do both and has that kind of whammy bar#and bridge#secretly I think a telecaster with p90s and a whammy bar would be perfect for surf rock#I also tried a couple Les Pauls to see if I might want to record on one#the Slash one I broke out a few weeks ago is still my favorite both for sound and playability#I like the feel of the Gretsches (because they’re secretly Fenders) and the pickups have a unique sound#but idk if I prefer it or not#the ESP sounded great but same as my Ibanez
