Nymphaeaceae (Waterliles)
Waterlilies were among the first flowering plants (angiosperms) to evolve and they’re at least 125 million years old. If you build a pond, and you want a waterlily it’s recommended that you put it in a pot. If you plant it in the soil, it spreads by rhizomes, and pretty soon it will fill up all the available space.
These photos were taken yesterday at Beaver Lake in Vancouver’s Stanley Park. Stanley Park was established in 1886 and, at 1001 acres, is one of the largest city parks in the world (Central Park in New York is 840 acres). Beaver Lake is a natural feature in the center of the park. Unfortunately, in 1936 fragrant waterlilies were introduced to celebrate the parks 50th anniversary. This is the result.
Beavers returned to Beaver Lake in 2008 after an absence of sixty years. Beavers eat waterlilies but these beavers had better get busy. As you can see, waterlilies grow like a “weed’.

Today I went to 3 different museums (YESSSSS!!!). The Musée d'Orsay, the Musée Rodin and the Musée de l'Armée (in that order).
At the Musée d'Orsay I saw many sculptures and beautiful pieces of art. A couple of those are shown above - Van Gogh's Starry Night and Monet's Water Lillies. I also saw a replica of the Thinker and the Gates of Hell. Luckily, after eating lunch at the Musée de l'Armée, I got to see the real things.
After lunch, I went to the Musée Rodin, which was inside Rodin's house! There I saw the Kiss, the Thinker, the Gates of Hell and many more sculptures. Rodin was a famous and very talented sculptor, and the museum also had his in-progress pieces, and you can see how each one was the start or was changed into a famous sculpture. After that, I went to the Musée de l'Armée and saw Napoleon's Tomb! It was a beautiful piece of architecture, and you can feel the significance of it as soon as you walked up to it. Unforuntaly, the Musée de l'Armée's WW1 and WW2 exhibit was closed but I still got to see many Medieval Ages artifacts as well as some Japanese ones too.
I then went and did some shopping (can't tell you where and what because they were gifts) and then my friend and I went to watch the sunset from the top of the Arc de Triomphe! It was gorgeous. And so many steps...in a circle...I got dizzy...
While up there, we watched the sun set and the Eiffle Tower's lights come on, even got to see the light show! Seeing such a beautiful panoramic view of the city was amazing. We stayed up there until they told us to leave.

Waterlilies are starting to open and they're so pretty.
That's also Greta's favorite place to drink from, so I constantly have to top off the water.

Original sketch | Limited edition fine art print from an original drawing.
Nymphaea is a genus of hardy and tender aquatic plants in the family Nymphaeaceae. The genus has a cosmopolitan distribution. Many species are cultivated as ornamental plants, and many cultivars have been bred. Some taxa occur as introduced species where they are not native, and some are weeds.
My sketches start life as hand-drawn graphite images made on cartridge paper. I often work on these with charcoal, oil pastel or Caran d'Ache to create the look I'm after. The artwork is then scanned and finessed digitally ready for fine art printing. This process often referred to as Giclée printing uses the highest standard of printing methods to give gallery quality results that maintain all the details of the original sketch.
The graphite pencils I use are Faber-Castel, the oil pastels are Sennelier and the china-graph is Caran d’Ache. The inks are pigment based archive quality (100years+). The heavyweight specialist papers I use are of the best professional quality having a wonderful surface designed specifically for fine art drawings and illustrations.
Very limited editions with only ten per size printed.
All artwork is signed and includes a certificate of authenticity.

No but like how does Harry survive? Every single time I see Louis I’m absolutely sure he gets even more beautiful and gorgeous and stunning and absolutely breathtaking. How does Harry get anything done successfully? I would just be daydreaming about Louis 24/7. Kissing Louis. Munching Louis. Giving Louis forehead kisses. And flowers. And boops on the nose. And tea just the way he likes it. And fluffing his pillows. And literally anything he asked. Props to Harry. He did well.
Go best friend 👏🏼 that’s our best friend 👏🏼 he’s got a really hot husband 👏🏼
harry just amazingly has this incredible talent where he can put all his adoration into works of art, so that he can find a bit of release for those overwhelming emotions, he earns money by having so much love to give, and allows us a glance into their world :'o and then he goes and skips on stage grinning bc he loves louis so much and he'll tell us all about it
