LMAOOO I’ve seen some butthurt e stans crying about “toxicity” and how everyone in the feh fandom is so mean to them dhhdhshshf idk maybe if you guys didn’t insist on putting that white-haired she-beast in the VG every damn year we wouldn��t be having this problem!! ever think about that !!!
Exactly, cuz like. I got pity-broke three times by F!Edelgard back when I was trying to get my +10 F!Dimitri during their release, and she pity broke me again on an entirely different banner months later. She has re-ran so many times by now, including literally right now. She is by no means rare or particularly valuable - hell, with the sheer amount of counters made for specifically her she's not nearly what she once was anymore. But because she has the reputation of breaking the game in half - which, mind, she very much did before, she's just way easier to deal with now - people keep trying to push her into shit she's got no business being in.
She will never win an AHR. Ever. Not once. She has no chance of ever doing that with her lacking fodder, easy accessibility, and watered-down utility. And because edelstans either don't know or don't care about that, they've effectively shot down any chance of any alt for Edelgard winning an AHR. Pretty much proven to be the case by S!Edelgard - seasonal, swimsuit, decent fodder, harmonic with another fan fave, has a neat niche no one else really has yet (triple Galeforce), and she still fuckin' lost. To pretty much literally anyone.
Like, I got Big Annoyed that Veronica had just beat out Embla (and, well, I am still kinda annoyed lmao), but in reality I am in fact way more annoyed that F!Edelgard snatched a spot from not just specifically Embla, but literally any other viable option. I remember a few people bein' genuinely shocked that Duo!Duma and Duo!Askr as well as Embla all failed to get a ranking, meanwhile here's this jingly-hat-wearin' JESTER of a unit at this point, getting in yet again despite everyone's clear disdain for her. There's a reason that Camilla, a character who has been shat on by the FEH community (as well as the general FE fandom honestly) for years, managed to tank a x12 multiplier and get the win, and it's cuz at this point people will take just about anything else over F!Edelgard.
Also not helped by them cryin' about how they're just so bullied by the FEH community, that Edelgard only ever loses because everyone just hates her and their fans for no reason. Nothing to do with their behavior, or their consistent inability to coordinate the VGs to save their lives - these nine losses were all because of unfair coin flips, or sabotage, or bullying, and all these other things that make them pitiable little darlings. Including when the "coin toss" is completely in their favor. And when they back a comparatively useless unit. And when they shit on people who dare to politely explain why this shit keeps happening. Yeah pretty sure that's uhhhh gonna turn some heads away lmao

number six for the Homestuck ask meme!!!
what got me into homestuck? ah, it's... [long dramatic pause] complicated
i didn't read homestuck start to finish until i think near the end of 2015, finishing sometime in spring 2016. that might be a little early in the timeline though? it's hard to say. my best friend at the time urged me to read it because he was obsessed, and this was around the time of that "is homestuck the modern ulysses" video and the michael lutz homestuck piece for vice, so there was a lot of-- wait hold the fuck the phone, that idea channel video came out in 2012 and that lutz article came out in 2019???? dude what lmao okay well i'm officially an unreliable narrator
point is he got me to read it and i did and i loved it but i didn't really understand a lot of what happened. then my friend and i had a big falling out (which served as a partial inspiration for dave's reaction to june in godfeels 2.1), and it wasn't until late 2018 that i encountered a lot of the homestuck renaissance material that would reshape my understanding of the comic to what it is today.
but the funny thing? i actually read problem sleuth when it was still ongoing! might've even read jailbreak before that? in the early 2000s i read a looooooooooooooot of webcomics, and i'm ngl that's a huge foundation of my sense of humor. ryan north, kc green, david malki, kate beaton, meredith gran, allie brosh, a bunch of others... and i mean, god, of course i read ctrl+alt+del, penny arcade, vg cats. the awful christian furry opus JACK (which i read years before sandman, unfortunately for me). andrew hussie was right in there with that milieu, so i always thought of them as just like... Another One Of Those Guys. so many folks from that scene emerged out of the same online edgelord gamer subculture that birthed the true classics of Adult Swim. so when i got older, stopped reading webcomics as much, then got back into homestuck, i was kind of shocked to see how reactionary people were about hussie's past? that was just the scene, man. and andrew, like everyone else in that scene whose work remains relevant, grew right the fuck out of it. that growth is a big part of what i love about homestuck, because the arc of the kids learning to be less awful over the course of its runtime very much resonated with my experience growing up and out of that scene.
i think there's a lot of stuff in early homestuck especially that can be tough to understand because it's so rooted in that early internet culture, when gamers were nostalgic for point and click adventure games and thought they'd never see one hit the mainstream ever again. ah, what innocent times... unfortunately it turned out that point and click adventure games were never good and that's why homestuck is a documentary

Lol someone on r/Edelgard asking if anyone knows how to write a bot for vgs because they just want her to "win once to shut everyone up" because of all the mean memes about her losing :(.
That's kind of sad lmao. I mean I'd be lying if I said I didn't want something like that for when my faves are in a VG, but that's, like, something I think quietly to myself for .2 seconds before moving on.
But also, just for fun, would botting a VG even be possible? There's so much human decision making involved throughout the entire process that it would be kind of difficult, especially since you'd need to ensure the bot was performing quests to ensure it was getting enough flags to do anything worthwhile.
Not to mention that programming a bot to play a game is infinitely more difficult and hardware intensive than just setting up one to vote, since you'd need many emulators running the game simultaneously (and you would HAVE to run them simultaneously since unlike CYL or AHR voting, you only have ONE hour to run all of your bots instead of 24) to have any impact. You'd also either have to get the bots through the initial tutorial segment of the game or you'd have to manually move them through the tutorial section.
Add in the fact that each VG makes you play and win at least one match before you can use your ballots and flags, which means the bot could have basically unlimited combinations of units to use. You could probably get around that by programming the bot to auto-battle, but then you'd need to have contingencies in the programming for a win vs. a loss.
And again, that's not even getting into all of the human decision making that goes into when and where you should be spending flags and ballots.
I guess in theory the easiest way to do that would be to program a LOT of bots to obtain 800 flags and just drop them at the final hour regardless of anything else, but that would either be completely inconsequential (if she gets the final multi she's probably winning unless her army is significantly smaller) or it would take so many bots (probably hundreds, if not thousands for most VGs) to actually make a difference that it would be borderline if not completely infeasible.

I was tempted to do both Lumine and Xiao, but this post is taking me a while to write, so I guess I’ll just do Lumine for now. I skipped the ones that I couldn’t think of anything for.
Lumine (as Traveler):
favorite thing about them: We spend so much time with the Traveler but still know remarkably little about them. Part of this reason for this is presumably to allow the player to project themselves on to the character, but there are enough hints at actual characterization and history that I can’t help but wonder what the Traveler is hiding. For Lumine in particular, I like that she seems to be the slightly “tougher” of the twins.
least favorite thing about them: The way the game’s marketing material treats her like she doesn’t exist, and how this leads to a bunch of people insisting that she isn’t the “canon” protagonist.
favorite line: I’m not sure it’s my all-time favorite, but it’s a recent one that caught my attention. (Minor spoilers for the 3.4 quest “The Dirge of Bilqis”; paste into rot13 decoder to read) Ng bar cbvag, Yhzvar vf nfxrq jurgure fur vf n cevaprff. brOTP: Ayaka. AyaLumi is a cute ship, but I like to headcanon Ayaka as aroace. Ayaka and Lumine do try dating at first, before Ayaka figures herself out, but Ayaka quickly realizes that what she wants is a close friend and not a lover.
OTP: Amber. Part of Amber’s character arc is discovering her unique talents and role as an Outsider, finding the thing only she can do. So, I like to headcanon her as going with the Traveler. She senses that their journey is important to not only Mondstadt but all of Teyvat, so she figures that protecting them is within the scope of her duties as an Outrider. (It takes her a while to admit that staying in one place makes her restless, that as much as she loves Mondstadt, staying there forever feels uncomfortably restrictive.) If Aether is the Traveler, she becomes his close friend. If Lumine is the Traveler, they become girlfriends.
nOTP: Tartaglia. I’m neutral on Tartaglia as a character, and I feel like the ways I could see a relationship between him and the Traveler going are not dynamics I’m particularly interested in for Lumine. (I do like some versions for Tartaglia/Aether.)
random headcanon: Lumine is bi but has a strong preference for women. This bodes ill for poor Albedo and Xiao, who fall for her just as hard as they fall for Aether.

1 - Favorite video game?
I think the title of my favorite video game ever has to go to Portal 2 (and Portal). I really enjoy so much of the mechanics, design, characters, what have you. I've replayed it a bunch of times and love watching people explore it for the first time.
Other honorable mentions go to Pokemon Arceus, Unpacking, Year Walk, Oxenfree, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Mass Effect 2.
4 - Favorite video game character?
This one's really hard tbh! I'm actually not quite sure. I have so many I really like, but I don't know if I have a Favorite Favorite. I think I'll say Chell from Portal to go with the answer above. Other favs include Aloy, Lara Croft, Ana Amari, Cassandra Pentaghast and Merrill, and also Agent 14 from GTA Online
24 - Hardest boss fight you’ve been in?
The Serebaas in Trespasser for sure. I was playing on Nightmare at the time and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get the last few points of health chipped away. I eventually had to knock down the difficulty and beat it that way.
30 - Why do you game?
Honestly for me it's a big part a social aspect. I play a lot of games with online features, like GTA and Minecraft and Stardew Valley, that let me hang out with my friends and fool around. I have more hours in games like those than I do in campaign based ones.

Hi! Unfortunately I only have the one WIP going, my Haruhi Suzumiya/Danganronpa crossover (I probs should have tagged that when reblogging the ask meme, sorry). Hopefully my answers for that are interesting for you.
🎀 How many named characters are in this WIP? How many do get a POV?
Only one POV, Kyon's.
In the future side of the story: 7 named Haruhi Suzumiya characters + 9 named DR-style OCs + Monokuma + main villain of Danganronpa + 2 other Danganronpa characters.
In the past side... I haven't planned all the details yet, but at the very least: all of the above + main casts of DR1 and SDR2 + I want to do various bits of the DR3 prequel anime better, so I'll need at least some characters from that.
💖 What is your favorite moment in this WIP?
From what's currently written: I think I've used as an answer to an ask meme a while back one of my favourite moments - an excerpt where Koizumi confronts Kyon and threatens him with a knife. It's really important to me that my AU has changed things like that - that in different circumstances Koizumi could view Kyon as an enemy while still being recognisably Koizumi.
I'll also throw in a moment I haven't mentioned before, since I hadn't written it when I answered that previous meme. There's a bit in Arc 3 where something bad happens to the fabric of reality after Haruhi (over)reacts to the motive. I think I handled it well in the text formatting, though I'll have to see how readers find it.
From what isn't yet in words: One moment I'm really looking forward to comes from my system of titling all the chapters using TvTropes pages. So... (Rot13'd, spoilers for the solution of trial 5)

Ok so I'm currently sitting at a toilet waiting for the conditioner to affect my hair so I have time to waste so I'll tell you of something I've seen on social media

Ik ik, there are many ways of classifying social media, and the one I'm about to talk about may have already been done, but i haven't seen anyone talk about it so i will
How you interact with it
But, you may ask, comrade panancom, they all interact the same way, with other people?
Not exactly
You see, there's a difference, where do you comment? Twitter has comments under posts, 4chan has threads, Reddit also has comments under posts, tumblr has comments and whatever-the-fuck-goes-on-with-tags (i love It btw don't stop) so i think it is a spectrum between "individuals" and "forums". I won't explain it very well without examples so I'll jump to them:
4chan is completely forum. No one has accounts, there are only forums (say /vg, /pol or others) (i was in 4chan for like a week so i don't know much first hand). You don't interact with users, you post a comment to a thread on a community. You can perfectly find someone, have a thriving conversation, and not meet one another ever again, the only remaining effect of that conversation your memories and some bits on 4chan's servers
Tumblr is 50/50. You can follow tags like #sharpe #196 #heavymetal #heartstopper and so forth, and you can follow individuals like youknowwho187226. You comment under individuals, but you may not be following them, just their tags. You may start a years (and even decades) long relationships with moots, or you may find yourselves a few times because you're both following the same tags and that's it
There's also Tik Tok, more of the same. You follow both people and tags, and your fyp is full of those tags, but you're encouraged to follow individuals
Facebook has a dedicated communities part, with mods and rules and such (like the famous "community where we all act like we're ants) but you mostly go follow other people, most probably your family and friends, so you have as much interaction online as you do offline
Instagram HAS communities (in that you can follow tags) but it's of little use, since they have no moderators so people post whatever they want (i used to follow #historymemes to only get memes that had nothing to do with history because, and i quote, "i want more people to find my page") (one of the bigger reasons i left instagram btw) (ik it resembles tumblr but i have yet to find one (1) tag that doesn't belong in a post, maybe because of the lack of celebrities around here) (love that asw)
On Twitter you only follow people. There ARE hashtags, but you can't follow them, they just work like a more advanced version of search.
Finally there's reddit which is a reverse of Twitter, in that you can follow people, but it just works like a community without a clear purpose and one single mod, and you do 99% of your interactions within communities

H- Hell: What would be your worst experience with them?
There’s a possibility that Sehun will start questioning himself and his insecurities. He’ll try to find the reason why he’s not feeling satisfied with anything, why he's not happy even despite owning you, why others don’t treat him with the respect he deserves. Then, he’ll gradually come to a conclusion that you’re not what he really needs, and he’ll try to distance himself - but it doesn’t mean you’ll be free to do what you like. He’ll burst out if you respond to his behavior with distancing yourself as well, but he’ll snap at you if you try to bother him. In other words, there will be no way he’ll be happy with you.
It won’t last forever. He’ll need time to figure himself out. Maybe it’ll allow him to improve as a person; in Sehun’s case, the yandere tendencies aren’t too heavily engraved in his personality and I think it’s something he can grow out of. But it will take time and a lot of patience, both from you and himself.
M- Might: How aggressive would they be towards you?
Not much on daily basis. Very - if he has a reason for that.
Sehun is a calm guy and on usual, he won’t be an out-of-ordinary boyfriend. His yandere tendencies are mainly in the way he perceives you, but being aggressive towards you is not his way of pursuing them.
However, he’s lowkey a control freak and if he feels like he’s losing it, he’ll do what’s necessary to discipline you. Then, he won’t have much restraint.
O- Oppression- How many rights would they take away from you?
He’s not the type to deny you a decent living and the ability to make your decisions. Obviously, if he wants you to do something, he’ll find a way to make it happen, through manipulation at least. But usually, he won’t put many limits on your behavior. Obviously, unless it’s about you meeting with other people, but even on that, he’ll be pretty chill as long as he’s sure there’s nothing to be concerned about and you still favor him the most - it will depend on the situation.

O'Byrne does this all the time. She's notorious. It's her go-to facial expression. When she first meets Roy she's very genuine, but as soon as she realises how hostile she is, she quickly stops trying to be nice. It's all sarcasm from there. Coffee shop? Real smile. Co-worker who's being a bit too nosy about how she's one of the few people who got to first hand witness a Virtual Ground Event and she was there to witness Roy jump realities?
Fake smile. Get away from me. I may bite.
Roy is a serial resting bitch face of a human. He doesn't realise this. He does not intend to look so flat most of the time. He almost never smiles especially around O'Byrne. He lives in a perpetual state of torment orbiting around her, unwillingly.
He forces a smile at the coffee shop, out of politeness. He smiles genuinely when he's in his peaceful zone (reading, alone, making a new sweater, listening to Joy Division by himself)
Despite this he's better at genuinely emotionally connecting with strangers than O'Byrne is.
31) When do they feel the most guilt? How do they respond to it?
O'Byrne - when she looks at Roy and see's what he's lost.
Roy - When he see's the way O'Byrne looks at him when she think's he doesn't notice it.
32) If they committed one petty crime / misdemeanor, what would it be? Why?
Oh I mean they actively commit crimes in the story. I'm not going to tell you what, or how bad, but it gets bad.
I WILL tell you the most common one that they both do on the regular: trespassing.
O'Byrne always instigates it, Roy follows her begrudgingly complaining the whole time.
"I'm not going to wait around for something to go wrong and people to get hurt, Roy."
"Yeah but we don't even know if there is anything weird going on in that apartment, you can't just decide you have the right to barge in!"
54) What’s their instinct in a fight / flight / freeze / fawn situation?
They both have a tendency to freeze, but O'Byrne resorts to violence a lot faster than Roy does. She'll go straight into punching or hitting whatever's in front of her with whatever solid object she can get her hands on to hit it with.
Roy tends to stumble and panic - back up in a more defensive way.
Depending on the circumstance, however, they both have the potential to just completely shut down.
What are you supposed to do when your own corpse sits up and reaches out to touch you?
How do you respond when the violent tug on your mind returns after a year of absence and you can't resist its command?

If we're being honest ive never played any of the actual games except fire emblem warriors or whatever the fighting game thing is on switch i dont really remember it was my friends. BUT I LOVE THE CHARACTERS!!!!! I WANT TO PLAY THREE HOUSES!!!! I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!!!! CLAUDE IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND HES AMAZING BUT THENNI HAVE COMPLICATED FEELINGS TOWARDS SYLVAIN BUT AAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!! If we're being honest, i love fire emblem for the different classes, outfits, and most of all the romance/otome game aspects of it. Also please have more bisexual/lgbtq characters in the future. Though theres still a decent amount in fe3h :3
