VAV “They plan a surprise for your birthday”

Ask: I’m so excited you’re writing again! 💕 Here’s a couple VAV requests- if you feel up to doing one of them! TY1. Members drunkenly try to pick you up at a bar/club2. Members plan a surprise party for your birthday

A/N: i changed it a little bit so that it would be easier to be versatile so it’s now aa general surprise for your birthday, not just a party!

St. Van/Geumhyuk:

“What is all this about?” You laughed, tripping into your apartment. Geumhyuk’s hands were over your eyes as he tried his best to guide you through the hall. “Shhh, just bare with me.” He laughed, nearly tripping himself as he continued to guide you from behind. You decided to humor him, enjoying the close proximity of him behind you and how silly he was being.

“Surprise!!!!” He yelled, uncovering your eyes to reveal a sweet little birthday set up. Birthday balloons hung up over the couch and a cake sat on the table, Cash in little birthday hat coming your way. “Happy Birthday!” Geumhyuk added on, kissing your cheek before you bent down to pet the sweet dog. “What’s this?” You asked, finding a little box attached to Cash’s collar. “Open it and find out.” He told you, gently guiding you to the couch to sit down.

The box held a pretty watch, one you had your eyes on for a while. “You remembered?” You asked, pouting at him trying your best not to let out a tear. “Thank you!” You hugged him, feeling his hands gently hold your waist.

“You deserve it. Happy Birthday, baby.”

ACE/Wooyoung:

It felt good to get all dressed up and go out. It was your birthday after all, it was what you deserved and Wooyoung knew that. His hand on the small of your back as he held the door open to the restaurant. He was a bit nervous, hoping that your friends and family had gotten the memo about the surprise.

“I think I already know what I’m going to order.” You smiled, walking through the doors and grabbing his hand to follow you. “Hmm do you?” He smiled, thumb stroking your hand as you walked through the restaurant. “Surprise!” The cheers caught you immensly off guard, hand on your chest as you saw your closest friends and family all sitting around the table. All the people you loved were in one room and you felt overwhelmed.

“How are you all here?” You asked, greeting everyone while maneuvering around the tables and chairs. You remained in one of your friends arms, hugging her as she gestured to Wooyoung. “He organized all of this.” You paused, looking at him with glassy eyes before going to give him a big hug. “Thank you so much.” You mumbled into his ear, feeling his hand soothingly stroke your back.

“It was hard to get you here without you suspecting anything. I’m glad you like it.”

Ayno/Yoonho:

Yoonho had been planning this for the last few days, wanting to wake you up with a breakfast made by him. You were a sucker for these types of things and he wanted to make you happy on your birthday. Only problem was, you tended to wake up before him or with him.

However he had managed to best you, finding a way to wake up on time without taking you with him and was now in the kitchen. He was trying his hardest not to make too much noise while whisking away and trying his best to make pancakes. Yoonho thought he was doing a good job until you wrapped your arms around his waist. “What ya doin?” You asked and he let out a disappointed sigh, hanging his head before looking at you.

“Noo, you’re not supposed to be awake.” He whined and you smiled at him. “I was trying to surprise you.” He added on, stroking your cheeks softly while pouting. “This is fun too, I can watch you cook and I can talk to you.” You tried to console him.

“How about you go lay in bed and act surprised when I walk in with pancakes and say Happy Birthday?”

Jacob/Peng:

His hand toyed with yours as you walked to your friends apartment. He was incredibly nervous but didn’t want you to know and was trying his hardest to keep his cool. Jacob had wanted to plan a surprise party for you and your best friend decided her place would be the best for it, inviting you over under the guise of it being a lowkey friend get together.

“You okay?” You asked as you stood in front of her door. He had hardly spoken 2 words to you and seemed super tense. “Hmm? Yeah I’m fine.” He said and smiled, hand leaving yours to gently stroke your back as your friend opened the door. You were met with all of your friends and family instead, feeling Jacob stroke your back as you let out a squeal in shock.

“This is why you were so quiet!” You yelled, watching him laugh as he could finally take a good deep breath. You hugged him, whispering thank you’s as he held you tight. He was relieved that you were happy and even more relieved that he didn’t have to keep a secret anymore.

“I was so scared I would give away the secret.”

Lou/Hosung:

Big parties were never entirely your thing and Hosung knew that. He knew that for your birthday a surprise party, while you would be greatful, it just wasn’t for you. A lowkey dinner with just the 2 of you was way more your speed and if he wanted to surprise you, he would do it with a gift.

“This is so nice.” You said softly, extending your hand across the table for his. Hosung smiled, taking your hand into his before using his other to pull an envelope out of his pocket. “One last thing today though.” He handed it to you and you looked at him with a confused expression. “Happy Birthday.” He smiled warmly, eyes sparkling at you with anticipation. “You didn’t have to get me anything.” You said, opening the envelope carefully. It was a card with a little note in it.

“It’s a trip. For the 2 of us. A nice weekend away just us.” He explained and you found yourself pouting, trying to blink back tears. He was always so sweet and thoughtfull. “Thank you so much.” You said, leaning over the table and pecking his lips quickly.

“I thought that would be something nice, memories tend to be better gifts.”

Ziu/Heejun:

His texts had been super cryptic and knowing Heejun, it meant that he was up to something. You loved the man deeply but subtle was not in his vocabulary and you knew he was up to something for your birthday.

So when he texted you to come by his house, you knew better than to show up looking like you always did. He was going to surprise you and you wanted to look good, so you dolled yourself up before going. You took a deep breath before knocking on the door, being met with a grinning Heejun who wished you a happy birthday and guided you through the house. “Surprise!!!!” All your friends called and you couldn’t help but laugh.

“ I knew it! I knew you were planning something!” You laughed, smacking Heejun softly before hugging him. “You are sooooo not subtle. But thank you.” You added on, stroking his hair.

“I tried my best to keep it a secret but my personality precedes me. Happy Birthday, my dear.”

Cooking with VAV

I wanted to do a ‘how would vav cook or bake’ like a scenario and reaction in one kinda thing. Mostly because St.Van is the god of cooking but I thought I’d do the other members too.

St.Van

Loves it when you ask to cook with him or when you want him to teach you how to make something

Geumhyuk excels at both cooking and baking, truly an all round husband uwu

Lou

Lou I feel would be really good at baking like Geumhyuk and he would always have a mountain of recipe books that are bookmarked with recipes he wants to try

Ayno

Ayno wasn’t big on cooking, he usually left the cooking to you but there were a few things he loved to cook and bake and whenever he wanted to cook he’d ask you to help him

Ziu

Ziu wasn’t really into baking but he loved helping you in the kitchen whenever you asked

ACE

ACE is similar to Geumhyuk and Lou, he loves to cook whether it’s with your or for you but he was bad at baking so he always asked for help from Hosung or Geumhyuk or you when you wanted to bake something like a cake

Wooyoung’s favorite thing to bake is bread. He loves the fresh smell of homemade bread

Baron

Baron was just beginning to learn how to cook, he was taking lessions from Geumhyuk and Hosung every few weeks and when their was a recipe he loved he came home to replicate it. Sometimes it would turn out excellent

Jacob

Jacob always did his best when it came to cooking, he never wanted to ask for help but you would always stand by him in case he changed his mind, or accidentally set something on fire

Jacob was strange when it came to cooking or baking. For example, he could make up his own recipes and execute them perfectly but when it came to following any other recipe he was bad at it. This always discouraged him and you always reminded him that with practice he’d get better

He’d refuse to take lessons, even if it was from Geumhyuk or Hosung. He wanted to learn all on his own

Another strange thing was how Jacob cooked. He knew how to boil water, grill a steak, even make ?flambay? but when it came to frying anything he chickened out. He could bake cookies and pop popcorn, make homemade ice cream, but he couldn’t bake a cake

I’m just gonna post this now to thing blog instead of my writing one and then move it later. It’s shitty kinda but meh maybe I’ll make it better later

You had known Dawon for a few years now, so you had known all of his friends pretty well. As you finished tying your shoes, you heard a car horn honk from outside and opened your door to see Dawon sitting in his car waiting for you with Taeyang and Youngbin.

"Is everyone else already there?" You asked as you entered the car.

"Nah, the other members are taking a van to fit all of them and we're meeting in a restaurant close to VAV's dorms so they're already there." You nodded in understanding and continued to talk to the boys about random things until you pulled up to the restaurant. You looked through the window and saw the other members of SF9 happily talking to Ayno and a few other people you didn't recognize. You all hopped out of the car and entered the restaurant, quickly walking over to their table.

"Hey guys!" Dawon greeted as you neared the table. Everyone immediately quieted down and turned towards his voice with a smile before greeting all of you. Ayno stood up and walked over to give Dawon a hug before turning and hugging you as well.

"Guys, I want you all to meet (y/n)!" Ayno said enthusiastically with his arm around your shoulder. The boys you didn't recognize waved at you with a smile.

"(Y/n), this is Geumhyuk, Baron, Ace, Jacob, Ziu, and Lou." Each waved with a polite 'hello' after their name was said. Your eyes lingered on the last boy for a second before you waved back politely. Damn he's cute. You thought to yourself before he shyly looked away. You took a seat in front of Lou, since it was the only seat available (not that you were complaining). You stole glances at him every once in a while throughout the night, not noticing him doing the same. Dawon, however, did notice the shy little glances Lou would throw your way before his ears turned red and a small smile would spread across his face. Dawon smiled brightly and nudged Ayno with his elbow, making him look up at him in confusion. Dawon quickly gestured to you and Lou, and they looked at each other with determination in their eyes.

You were laughing at a joke Lou had said as you left the restaurant. You didn't notice how he smiled at your laugh with a sparkle in his eyes. Dawon and Ayno smiled at each other before Dawon told Hwiyoung to get in their car while you were distracted and gestured for the other van to drive away. When you turned back around, you were confused to see Hwiyoung in your seat.

"Oh, man, sorry. Hey Ayno, could one of you give her a ride home?" Dawon yelled over to him. Ayno smiled brightly and nodded his head, running over to you before dragging you to their van. As Geumhyuk was moving to sit beside Lou, Ayno pulled him out and moved him to the front seat.

"What the hell are you doing?" Geumhyuk asked Ayno as everyone got situated in the car. Ayno quietly gestured to the rear view mirror, showing him Lou's blushing face as you situated yourself next to him. Geumhyuk smiled giddily, before he got an idea.

"Hey, Ayno, I'm sure a lot of us are tired, so you could drop us off at the dorms and someone could stay and drive her home." Ayno smiled brightly at the suggestion.

"That's a good idea. Hey Lou, why don't you drive her back home?" Jacob was about to protest, saying he could just drive her home since he wasn't that tired, but Ace elbowed him in the side and shook his head no. Jacob looked at him in confusion.

"I'll explain it to you when we get inside." He whispered to Jacob as they pulled into the dorm parking lot. The rest of the members jumped out of the car before Ayno threw a stuttering Lou the car keys and ran to the dorm room with the other members. You both sat in silence for a moment before you unbuckled and opened the car door.

"Well, we better get moving. It's already pretty late." You said as you moved to the front seat. Lou nodded and followed closely behind you before cranking the car and driving where you directed him. You were both laughing at a story you told as you pulled into your driveway.

"Well, here we are…" you said sadly as you unbuckled. You paused before opening the door and turned to him.

"Can I have your number? It's just that I wanna keep talking to you and I think we should definitely hang out again sometime soon." He smiled brightly before pulling out his phone to get your number.

"Yeah, definitely! Except, um, maybe next time we could go somewhere else… with just the two of us?" He asked quietly and looked up at you with a nervous smile and red ears. You softly smiled and chuckled at his suggestion.

"Are you asking me on a date?" He paused with a panicked expression.

"W-would you say yes if I was?" You laughed.

"Of course I would." He let out a breath and smiled brightly at you.

"Then, yes. Y-yes I am."

"Great, I'll see you later then."

"W-wait!" He exclaimed as you moved to open your door. You turned and looked at him quizzically as he coughed awkwardly.

"I-I'll walk you to your door." You softly smiled and nodded. You paused again when you made it to your door before turning to give him a kiss on the cheek at the same time he turned to say goodbye, making your lips collide. Both of your eyes widened but neither of you pulled away. You slowly closed your eyes and brought your hand up to cup his face. Lou closed his eyes as well and leaned into your touch. He didn't notice the small, submissive whine that fell past his lips until you pulled away. Your eyes widened as you heard the sound and he jerked backwards, covering his mouth after he realized what he did.

"Fuck, I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to! I probably weirded you out, I'm sorry! You can rethink the date if you want, I just-" you cut off his rambling as you pulled his head towards you and kissed him again, harder than you had before and pulled away after a few seconds.

"Fuck, that was hot. I want you to make that sound again." He whined again as you bit his lower lip and shoved your tongue in his mouth. You groaned against his lips and dragged him inside, kicking the door closed behind you and locking it. You brought him into another heated kiss as you pressed him against the wall, making him let out a low moan at your dominating aura.

"You sound so fucking pretty baby." He whimpered and felt his legs buckle beneath him at the low growl in your voice. The only thing keeping him up was the tight grip you had on his waist as you bit and sucked on his neck.
