steve doesn’t let anyone see when he‘s in pain. his parents never picked up on him being ill unless it was pretty severe, and even then they used to make him feel like a burden because of it. so he just doesn‘t show it nowadays.

when he starts to hang out with eddie more, it‘s not him that picks up on it when steve‘s not feeling good, but wayne. raising a boy all by yourself makes you pick up on those kind of things.

he sees how steve will sometimes squint when it‘s too bright in the room, sees how he flinches when there‘s a sudden loud noise. how he slightly relaxes when eddie absentmindedly runs his fingers through steve‘s hair (wayne doesn‘t like poking around in eddie‘s love life. but the fact that that thought crosses his mind when he‘s watching them says something. if he asked eddie about it he‘d probably say they‘re just very touchy friends).

so he talks to eddie about it when steve‘s not around. tells him that he thinks there’s something going on with steve. what eddie can look out for, and that he should talk to steve about it.

steve‘s first instinct when eddie brings it up to him is to laugh and play it off. he doesn‘t want to burden eddie with his own bullshit that he can deal with himself.

but eddie keeps pushing until steve admits that yeah, he gets headaches really often. that normal painkillers only help a bit, that light hurts his eyes, that they make the ringing in his ear even worse (eddie makes a mental note to bring that one up again later) and that he can barely concentrate whenever they come on. that he finds it hard to concentrate anyways, most of the time.

it‘s probably because of all the times he got hit in the head, he tells eddie.

he says that he doesn't want to be alone when he has the headaches, because that just makes him feel even worse. that's another reason why he never told anyone. (he also tells him about the russians, finally. eddie gives steve a hug afterwards, and steve almost cries into his shoulder. but he holds it back. eddie can hear his breath hitch.)

from that day on they have an agreement that steve has to tell him whenever he doesn‘t feel good. or that he at least won’t hide it. eddie goes over to steve's place when he knows it's one of those days, or he invites steve to his trailer. he turns off the lights when steve needs it to be dark, keeps explaining things to him when he doesn‘t understand them the first time, tries to be as quiet as possible.

he also keeps running his fingers through his hair, but it's more intentional now. he can tell that it helps steve relax, turns it into more of a massage. when steve slips off into sleep, after a while of him protesting that eddie really didn't need to do this, he lets his fingers roam a bit more. over his eyebrows, down the sides of his nose, over his cheekbones. unknowingly taking care of him in a way that no one ever really had before. steve sighs in his sleep.

"I'm just kidding, silly bear. You can head back to your green room." You laugh, gently patting his chestplate before sending him on his way-

Only for him to nearly collide into Vanessa as she barges into the P&S room, impatient.

You raise an eyebrow at your girlfriend's attitude, and when Freddy leaves she's just standing there brooding.

"His solo doesn't start for another ten minutes-"

"Yeah, but it's gonna take him at least five to get back to his room." She scowls. "And maybe longer if the brats keep stopping him along the way."

"Okay, I get it." You sigh, turning back to the computer terminal to log out. "You seem to care an awful lot about Freddy being punctual today, Nessie.."

"..well the less time he wastes flirting with you, the better."

You pause.

"Wait...you thought he was..?"

Suddenly, it all made sense.

You knew Vanessa was always kind of moody on the clock, taking almost every little inconvenience to her work personally.

But for her to be outright jealous?? Of a robot, of all people??

You had to hold in your laughter, especially as you see the look on her face as she slowly realizes that her assumptions were indeed kind of stupid..

It's not like you could go and date the bear, anyways, and she damn well knows this.

But she needed to ask what Freddy said that made you laugh..because that's all she saw when she was looking through the window.

Plus she wishes she could make you laugh like that sometimes.

You explain the joke he made, and she becomes flustered...and surprised.

"So he...wasn't making fun of me?"

"Of course not! He thinks highly of us..he wouldn't try to break us up. He's our biggest supporter, if anything." You chuckle as you bring Vanessa into a hug, kissing her cheek. "But if you need any reassurance..there's nothing going on between us, okay?"

All she can do is nod, her smile slowly appearing and her jealousy disappearing.

She'll be a little less harsh on Freddy from now on...but she's gonna feel embarrassed about this for a while.

i‘m going to project again and say. what if. steve‘s parents own a construction company and they get steve to work for them. he‘s in charge of smaller stuff in the office, like making sure all the paperwork‘s correctly filed and stuff, but he works in a part of the building that the construction workers have to go to in order to clock in and out.

and. construction worker eddie. who‘s been working there for almost as long as steve has, and always offhandedly gives him shit about being the bosses son. but it‘s just playful banter. at least steve’s pretty sure it is.

and if he‘s being honest, he‘s always looking forward to when eddie‘s done with his shift and walks by steve‘s desk all distracted and sweaty, only for him to turn back towards steve after he‘s clocked out and wink at him or comment on steve‘s choice of clothing for the day.

steve starts to put on specific shirts or accessories that eddie‘s commented on before, just to get another reaction out of the guy. he finds himself waiting for 5 o‘clock, checking the time just as often as his hair in the mirror.

but there‘s also times where eddie‘s just plain grumpy, had a bad day, and steve always expects him to just walk out without saying anything. for some reason, though, steve‘s the only person there that eddie actually talks to or at least gives him an appreciative eyebrow raise and a nod.

one day steve‘s dad decides it‘d be good for his son to get some actual hands on experience. so he gets sent to the construction site with the other guys, absolutely not prepared for what awaits him. he‘s so grateful when he notices that eddie‘s in the group he‘s working with that day, and he’s immediately taken under his wing.

he teasingly judges him about not knowing things that, by now, are so logical to eddie, but shows him the ropes anyways. they finally have an excuse to talk more to each other, and eddie drags steve along on his smoke breaks (maybe because steve insisted that, sure, he still smokes).

his dad expected steve to throw a fit after the first day, but he actually finds he doesn’t mind the work. he gets to get to know eddie a bit better, shares beers with him and the rest of the crew when they‘re done with everything. the added bonus of occasionally seeing eddie‘s tattooed and shirtless body covered in sweat and dirt isn‘t too bad either, something in the back of steve‘s mind supplies. but it‘s not like he‘s gonna tell his dad about that.

and maybe, one time after they‘re done with work, proud of everything they‘d accomplished during the day, steve invites eddie over to his place to hang out. and maybe, they arrive at work the next morning at the same time. in the same car. with eddie wearing one of steve‘s shirts.

Mike is Trans Gender

Mike has called Abby “Garrett” on accident at least once

William gives Vanessa his kill trophies (this is basically canon it’s just fucked up to think about)

Mike and Abby would love portal/portal 2

I’m an avid Mike and Abby are Henry’s kids believer idc how unlikely it is

Mike makes Abby pb&j to get her to eat but she’ll only eat it if it’s perfect 50/50

Mike likes his pb&js 75 jelly 25 pb and he and Abby have gotten into arguments about it (she threw the sandwich at him)

Mike smokes weed. Vanessa knows this (he’s not good at hiding being stoned) and chooses to ignore it

Vanessa takes edibles and thinks it’s funny to fuck with Mike, saying she’d “arrest anyone who smokes weed”. She only stopped because he had a panic attack over losing Abby. (She’s literally fucked up at the time)

Mike had a phase in highschool where he wore a letterman jacket every day (he did not play sports)

Abby befriends wild animals to the point where mikes had to shoo out an opossum with a broom (it bit him)

Vanessa had dark brown hair as a kid but William said it made them look similar so she started dying it blonde (if she waits too long to dye it she can’t even look at herself in the mirror, all she sees is her father)

William doesn’t cover his gray hairs because it’s the closest he’ll get to having the same hair color as Vanessa again (without dying his hair)

One time William left the house in he spring Bonnie suit and now people talk about the furry in town

When Abby was a kid she didn’t understand why her parents and brother were so sad when they looked at her (she looked like Garett)

One time when Mike and Vanessa were smoking Mike starts talking about how he’s always felt different and weird and all that and Vanessa goes “oh you mean you’re bisexual?” And Mike is so shocked by this revelation he sits in silence for an hour

Mike let’s Abby play makeup with him and Mike likes it so much he secretly wears a little eyeliner
