"I changed my mind," Scorch announces one day a week later as he watches Rynn lounge in the sun in a bikini, "I want to stay here for my month." "I can't believe Boss actually got her in a bikini," Fixer admits. "It's because this is a private island, obviously." Sev says as he drops a beach ball on the sand next to Scorch, "There's no one here other than us, which means she doesn't feel like she has to cover up as much as she normally would." He pauses, "And, I already extended our vacation here by another month." Sev adds smugly. Fixer and Scorch shoot him a look, "Of course you did." Fixer finally says with a sigh. "Hey, I'm a simple man. I see our gorgeous Jedi lounging in the sun in a bikini, and I am a happy man." "Yeah, well, Boss already reapplied sun block for her, so don't get too happy." Scorch replies with a laugh. "Damn. Oh well, next time." Sev shrugs, and then he grabs the beach ball and throws it at Scorch, "Come on, vod. You up for a game, or are you too distracted by staring at Rynn." Scorch catches the ball, "I can be both," He says with a grin, "You coming Fixer?" "I suppose I'd better, to keep you from killing each other." Fixer glances at Boss, who is lounging in a chair next to Rynn, fast asleep, "I don't think he's interested though." "Ah, let him sleep. He deserves it." Scorch throws the ball at Fixer, "Come on, vod."

Happy STS Nopal! Since summer has begun for the northern hemisphere, my question is: what would your characters be like on vacation? Where would they travel (be it in our world or their world) or would they choose to stay home? Would they overpack, underpack, or forget their luggage all together? Late to the airport or six hours early? Stuff like that!

What would the cast of AASOAF be like on vacation? In a word: LAZY. They're all so busy and their lives move at breakneck speeds most of the time that they would want to do absolutely nothing on vacation. Yes, even Mariel who likes to be busy!

They would all definitely want to go somewhere, Mariel only at the urging of Axtapor because she is definitely a homebody. As to where, they would likely go to The Haven of Macaws, a tropical island a few leagues off the mainland of Seyes. It's well known for its hiking, waterfalls, fishing, and special cave hideouts to make camp in!

Mariel would go full mom-mode to make sure everyone had what they needed, though Axtapor would probably still forget something despite her reminders. Wilkes would definitely overpack but only because Fay likes to wear his tunics when she sleeps. Fay would probably bring some kind of contraband with her in the name of fun which would make Mariel want to avoid her altogether since she doesn't want to get in trouble lol.

They'd be on time, leaving and arriving, because they would go by ship and Fay, Wilkes, and Axtapor all take sailing very seriously so no messing around! They know all the best routes and how to catch the wind efficiently. Once there they'd spend most of their time sunbathing, hiking, eating good food, and of course, playing drinking games, and smoking. Mariel would get brave one night and have a hit off Axtapor's pipe, which she would regret immediately haha.

I am free from school! For a week... and not even fully free, because I have essays and research to do.

But I still have more time than I would before! :D

anyone else have multiple traumatic memories associated specifically with holidays/family vacations? because that is a topic I never see discussed in all the So You Had A Shitty Childhood, Now What? self-help books i've been reading. but for me, it was a significant thing. and the more i think about it the more it seems like this would be an (unfortunately) common experience. would be grateful to hear if this matches other peoples' experiences...

Today's the day! I'm going on vacation today!!!!!

All I have to do is finish cleaning up my room and my bathroom, because I will not be dealing with that when I get home, and packing one or two last minute essentials.

So, if I'm extremely quiet until the 28th, you'll know why! (Not to say that I won't probably be on here, I'm just going to limit my Tumblr usage to actually enjoy my vacation)

Also, I should be sleeping so I can be rested enough to leave, but at the same time, my brain is too awake, and I have laundry to put away.
