There’s a whole world out there. Look at all these people with lives as rich #and complex as my own. What I wouldn’t give to small talk with every single person in Fred’s and learn their passions and how they live #all I do is wake up feed clean and water animals that’s all I’ve ever done #I remember being in HS and loving lunch bc I could watch everybody laugh and eat and live #I never got to stay after school for activities bc my mom hated picking me up #I never got to go to parties past 10 yrs old bc my family was more important and they fucking hated me orbiting them #my family is all I’ve ever known and they don’t even realize how starved I am for contact #ANYTHING #ANYTHING AT ALL #ILL TAKE SOME OLD WHITE MAN HURLING SLURS AT ME I NEED TO FEEL ALIVE #I need to feel the bitter sting of life and live #and I don’t even have online friends to play with like yeah I occasionally talk to my besties on here #but I can’t bring myself to ask for anything more

I hope this doesn't come across the wrong way but i recently reread the entire familiar au (its as amazing as always!) and its so impressive to see how far you have come as a writer especially compared to the new cult au its honestly pretty inspiring

Thank you! It's truly nice to hear that I've made progress. I mean, obviously - hopefully - I would have after all this time, but sometimes the improvement is hard to see when you're so close to it.

#answers #I've been tempted at times to just take down some of my really old stuff #Because I am very 😬 when I reread it #But I think it stands as a nice relic/testament to how I've grown as a writer #In that I only roll around in agony about 90% of the time reading current writing now as opposed 575% with the old stuff #It feels like I don't know what I'm doing at any given time #But presumably I've learned SOMETHING #And my writing is not The Worst™#Funny how the baseline changes as skill changes because it's hard to remember sometimes that yes #Skill has improved!!#I say as I stare at this document with severe doubts and worry and agony #Nothing like looking at a 5k doc and going 'yeah this is only halfway to the end at BEST'#There is so much more yet to complete #Also super nice to hear that the cult thing is good to read #It's got a lot more visuals than my usual so I'm pushing my comfort zone #I am Not A Visual Person so that takes some Effort #All of these tags have been very navelgazing so here's a fun fact #If *I* can get better at writing by doing it for a long time #YOU can do it TOO and BETTER #It just takes - again - a lot of writing to get there

#just realized im jumpy and cheery when im around people to the point where i could come off as a kind of emotional person #but like. most of it is just masking? like most of the time its just my trained response to what i think is a social cue #and trying to figure out tone based on how people talk. so i tend to add an excessively positive tone so that i don't come across as mean #but like. my natural self is a lot more subdued.#of course there are highs and lows and a lot of the time im just zoning out and forgetting anything or anyone exists #and usually when i am hyperactive it's less the stereotypical adhd jumpiness and more... anger and frustration #i get jittery and idk what im talking about and it's not. fun.#and because i feel like it takes this additional work to kind of... be around people i tend to really enjoy my time alone #and i also. kind of suck at making friends irl. i just cannot approach people first #anyway idrk where this was going but being on tumblr all these years n especially now that i have such wonderful friends here im realizing #that im actually not as introverted as i thought. im just discouraged at the thought of having to decipher shit out with people #im truly a yapper at heart xD #but im also not as overwhelmingly positive as i seem #i just want people to know i love them. even if i really do overcompensate to show it #yeah. some self awareness stuff ig #megumi in the tags

How long does it usually take you to make a drawing? :3 I know it’s different depending on the caliber of the drawing but for an example let’s say just Barnaby and Wally doing whatever in a scene

i just saw what you mean and for your sake i'll Pretend I Did Not See lol. its ok tho it happens, Tumblr's a tough cookie to wrangle

hm. it Does vary wildly, both depending on quality, how used to scribbling a thing i am, and how well the art-mojo is flowing! on a bad night, a simple sketch could take an hour while the same sketch on a good night could take 15 minutes

and it's also hard to say since i don't really keep track! for example, The First One in this collage is a more involved sketch and i suspect it took thirty minutes maybe? i remember having some Difficulties so maybe longer? trying to get size differences between multiple characters in the same sketch adds a Lot of time, as does making sure they interact properly. while the last one in the collage (the Nom) probably took closer to ten minutes

i know the Laughingstock in Aziracrow's outfits i belted out in, oh... an hour or three? it's really hard to say! i think it was several bc i was watching gomens at the time, and i think it got through a couple of episodes... clothes add a lot of time! but certain things that i thought i did Quickly took hours in reality, and i only notice when i look up and see the clock has Changed Drastically! i have a very loose perception of time!

it really just depends on my motivation & how used to drawing something i am. like scribbling Eddie takes a while, lots of guidelines and erasing and redrawing. but scribbling Barnaby? easy. takes me seconds in comparison. way less guidelines - i know where everything is and where it goes! drawing dragons takes even less time - This One was done in a Blink, and the only guides i used were head circle / snout circle / jawline.

#the Size of the sketch absolutely makes a big difference #like sketch comms are really tough since im drawing them at a Much bigger resolution #and it throws off the feel of the brush & i have to go about it in a drastically different way than what im comfortable with #because i want to provide the Best Resolution/Quality possible!#and then tiny sketches are easy and quick cause it's close quarters. cozy!#and im more accustomed to keeping my brushstrokes Tight and Short #but im slowly getting used to scribbling Bigger!#just today i realized i was automatically scribbling larger than i used to #good! higher quality!#it will translate into my comms hopefully!#i still have one left... ive been slowly chipping away at it #rambles from the bog #i think im underestimating the time...#bc i Do draw slowly i think #it usually takes a while!#unless im In The Zone and then im belting things out at lightspeed #like remember that glorious time period where i was posting every day often Twice a day and the queue was backed up for Days?#yeah.... me too....#i am very rarely in the Zone #its tough to think and its tough to Create and the process is so much!!!#it takes Energy i rarely have! so that slows it down too...#but yeah my 'process' is very much Not a process lmao #in the wise words of hobie brown: i dont believe in consistency #its not in my nature! to my detriment more often than not!

I feel like paul is a really cautious person?? Idk how to explain it but I don't see him as impulsive, he gives me the vibes that outside motorsport and sports in general he doesn't like to take risks. In Prema videos he's always more "contained " (idk if this is the word I'm looking for), while being playful and goofy.

But then miss popstar coming into his life like a hurricane, being the COMPLETE opposite!!! Impulsive, never ever thinking before speaking, that electric type of person and it driving him insaneeeeeeee

im loving this hype for the popstar!au, the anon who first suggested it should get a big forehead kiss 😚😚

but yes i agree!! like around certain people, when he's really comfortable, he seems like he can relax and let go a bit. like around dino he you know dances and stuff, and with karl he's always joking around. but even then, he's a lot more calm than most others !! and yes like you say, outside of racing, he seems more cautious. like if you watch videos of him on estonian shows, he's much more gentle. but he still has his personality, his playfulness and bubbly style shining through <33

i feel like he also would be cautious when meeting new people – especially if it's a girl, and especially if that girl happens to a popstar and also super cute. so around her, he's maybe not shy but more careful. and he even gets lowkey nervous when she's around, in a way where he just doesn't recognize himself? telling himself "mate get a grip???"

and then the reader being super extroverted, spontaneous, carefree… always saying exactly what she wants and not caring what anyone thinks. and god does he find it attractive!!!!

#glasses r sensory hell and usually my right eye just compensates for my absolutely fucked left eye but #sometimes like rn my eyes wont cooperate #also im wearing them rn and not realizing how much easier it is to see things #but my eyes also get all crosseyed etc when wearing them half the time its annoying #hah crosseyed typed that while listening to crosseyed and painless #ive been in autism mode writing creel analysis and listening to the autism band #im in the zone #also the salami wouldnt work i dont eat meat #but i miss salami #i wish i could have salami without it being salami because meat freaks me out so much #like i didnt even try to become vegetarian it just happened because meat skeeves me out so bad #its probably because of the meat sphere #autism has taken salami from me... curse you food sensory issues #ok autism and ocd. and also the meat sphere that's a pretty big part of it i think

Danny walked with Sam and Tucker toward his first class.

Just as he started to step through the doorway, Sam touched his arm.

"Wait, Danny, I should warn you..." she said, and searched Danny's face as though she was about to tell him bad news. "A new transfer student was introduced yesterday while you were gone."

His ghost sense had gone off partway through class yesterday and he'd spent a long time searching for the ghost before finally giving up, missing the last few hours of school.

Danny tilted his head to the side in confusion. "Okay? And... there's more to this, isn't there?"

Sam and Tucker looked at each other for a moment, Sam giving Tucker a pleading look, before they both turned back to Danny.

Tucker said, "You remember Gregor?"

Danny frowned. "He's back?"

"Well, noooo..."

"But he does kinda resemble him."

"Okay, whatever. One more thing to think about," Danny said with a tired sigh, and then walked into the classroom.

With a quick glance around, he saw a head of white—or maybe platinum blond?—hair. The boy had his head down, writing something in a notebook.

So that's the kid Sam and Tucker were worried about.

He wasn't sure what his friends thought about him—whether they thought he could be a GIW operative, or some other kind of spy, or maybe even a ghost in disguise... or if they'd just wanted to remind Danny that Gregor hadn't been any of the above. But he would be prepared, whatever the case was.

Danny sat in his own seat, and pushed the transfer student to the back of his mind for now.

He talked with Sam and Tucker for a few seconds. Then Valerie came into the room, looking tired.

Just after she sat down, Danny heard something buzz. She tensed and glanced toward the door with a frown, leaning forward slightly, as though preparing to leap from her seat.

"Good morning, class!"

Danny turned to see Lancer walk through the door. Lancer sat down and sorted a few stacks of papers on the desk, before looking up and beginning to call roll.

Danny started paying attention as Lancer neared his name.

"Dan Phantom?"

Danny startled, his desk rising an inch and slamming back to the floor.

He opened his mouth, but before he could say, "I'm not Phantom!" a voice behind him said, "Here."

Danny snapped his head around.

Green eyes lazily met his.

Danny stared, mouth still hanging open. It was like looking in a mirror.

"Danny Fenton?"

One eyebrow, above the green eyes, rose in question.

Danny's shin was kicked and he turned back around.

"Danny Fenton."

"Oh! I'm here!"

"Tucker Foley?"

"Here."

"Valerie Gray?"

"Present—can I use the bathroom?!"

Lancer pinched his nose and sighed. "Fine, but"—Valerie ran toward the door—"be back in fifteen minutes this time!"

Danny wondered where Valerie was going. His ghost sense hadn't gone off earlier.

But his thoughts turned back to the 'transfer student'.

He didn't know what was going on. Danny's eyes kept nervously glancing the kid's way, though he didn't seem to notice. Why did he look just like him?! Why was he here?! Was he him somehow?! What was happening?!

Lancer finished taking attendance and said, "Now, today we'll be reading pages—"

A ghost flew by the windows. And Danny's ghost sense activated.

He raised his hand. "Uh, Mr. Lancer, I also need to use the bathroom." His voice was higher than usual, still freaking out about the white-haired green-eyed kid that looked and sounded exactly like his ghost half.

Lancer looked skyward. "Fifteen minutes, Mr. Fenton. Fifteen."

He let out a sigh of relief as he ran from the room.

Gonna go running tomorrow!!!! Gotta hype myself up because i know once my alarm goes off at 6am i will not be as excited anymore ((((: BUT I'LL GO RUNNING!!!!

#i just #need to get some actual exercise #where i can completely exhaust myself #i mean. i get some pretty exhausting 10 minutes every morning on my hike to class #but i want something a bit longer and something that will end in a nice shower and not in a seminar room #I'm just a bit scared of how it'll go because so far the paths where people exercise are also occupied by other people #and then there's bikes that might kill you if you don't watch out #so i wanna go early so i hopefully avoid random people taking a painfully slow walk in the middle of the path #so you can't pass them #but I'll be moving!!! fast!! i cannot wait tbh #i should have gone tonight #(watch me oversleep and be too unmotivated to go tomorrow morning... istg if i don't get up at 6 #I'll still go at 8 or 9 or 10 am and have to live with the consequences of the paths being crowded #I'd go to bed early but my neighbors keep me up until 2am every night so that's fun #but the running will be worth it #(I'm not even a runner ㅠㅠ i just need to substitute my usual high intensity workouts with something other than pilates and yoga #i mean it's definitely not bad to be forced to do something out of my comfort zone but i really miss my jumping around time)#void screams

I'm convinced this is a very normal part of being a writer but like, the past few days, every time I open a WIP I feel so incredibly apathetic about it all. It's not even a hatred or insecurity about things I've written up until this point, even though I know the areas that need improvement.

No, it's just this blank and empty feeling that I recognize as The Thing That Kept Me From Continuing To Make Music. And I really don't want it to take fiction from me, too.

So one European airline has decided to do what some of us dreamt of: a child-free zone, located at the front of the plane, reserved for travellers over the age of 16 at the cost of 45 euros. You know, just like you have to pay extra for business class. But I'm sure the breeders are going to act real normal about all this. I'm sure their reaction will be measured and rational. I'm sure they won't have a meltdown because one little space on a plane isn't accessible to their insufferable kids.

#on French trains there are technically 'quiet' zones #but they're quiet in name only #because parents are their usual entitled selves and just refuse to not be accommodated at all times
