And Lucy Lawless.

Am I wrong in thinking that Lucy Lawless is. Nowhere near as famous as the others? Was Xena that big for 90s kids? Like, all the others are household names twenty-five years later. Just from an audience perspective, I know that these particular 90s kids would know her.

Gerald Flood's everyman journalist is a nicely constructed audience avatar but it's missing cheese expert Peter #Williams who gives the orders (and regularly imperils his own children). a lot of fun! well worth seeking out for old tv fans #also needless to say the various miniatures and fx work is frankly adorable.#and shoutout to Prof Mary Meadows‚ it's nice to have a kickass lady scientist in a show this old (and who remains cooler and more capable #than her male counterparts on more than one occasion).

Welp...the new DW episodes airing at midnight means there goes being able to watch the episodes with my dad...

#hes either at work by that point or asleep if nights off #hell lately i've been taking evening sleeps #and i sometimes wake up around 11ish #or sometimes its midnight or even 1am if im actually beyond tired #like yeah he could download and we watch it then but like #no offense but it definitely feels like disney funding means an orignially UK show #is now having to air very later because for some reason disney and bbc matched the episode airing at the same time in UK and america #and therefore in america it'll air at a reasonable time #but in the UK it'll air at midnight #and keep in mind doctor who did start as a family show #aka the whole family could sit in front of the tv and watch it together #i doubt parents will let their kids stay up near 1AM just to watch DW #and i doubt parents and adults in general who have work in morning will risk missing sleep for DW #like at that rate only people who will catch it are people like me who stay up

This is so sad because although many kids are using streaming services, social media and video sharing platforms to watch whatever they want and whenever they want nowadays, the networks never think of others who don't have these options.

What about the children who's parents can't afford these services and devices to watch what they want? Where will they get to watch cartoon and kid shows? CITV had Bratz, Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids and Sabrina the Animated Series while CBBC had 50/50, The Story of Tracy Beaker and Dick and Dom in da Bungalow.

It's truly an end of an era.
