You know with the confirmation that stuff like the gnomes are just... there all over the Outskirts, I wonder if the Library crew has to deal with them from time to time.
Like
Roland: *Sitting at a desk with a pen, deep in thought* "Hmmm, how do I end this scene?"
Angela: *In the distance* "Roland! The fucking gnomes are back!"
Roland: *Sighs* "God dammit." *Takes out Atelier Logic from gloves*

its so weird rereading the beginning of The Elpis Job because they started so simply. It was simple attraction, Sl33py expecting to finish the job and then hit and run.
He never expected to see Jack again once the job was over. They'd get the Vault, he'd sleep with him, then disappear- like he was used to. Like he had gotten good at.
And then uh- *looks at the 262 page count* Some Shit Happened.

obv i only pulled A Lot and not All from the gheritt white terminal and the remaining ones were: the unbreakable sword, duh, and the roland's olifant (engraved with s'pht scripture and a stylized s'pht'kr) which i wanted to recontextualize as a cry for help and call to action not only for roland but his blade, 'captured' rather than broken

The Ephemeral
I’ve released a lo-fi psy EP, Rat Cellar Tape and showing you the equipment used to make it through this series of posts. You can stream it for free on BandCamp!
Roland AIRA J-6
While not the most flexible device, this was still pretty handy. It’s all of the pads, arpeggios and “thin” leads on the EP. You can select a preset sound and do a little tweaking on it, but there’s not much else to adjust. Which means you can’t screw it up too bad.
While the device has a sequencer, I didn’t use it. The sequencer isn’t really conducive to playing lead lines, with different rhythms. It’s more for playing a chord over a bar or a preset arpeggio. Also, there were some times I wanted two sounds at the same time. So this required some workarounds.
I ended up recording the J-6 into Studio One, adding some light EQ in the process. Then, I exported the recording into a sampler to play it back during the performance. I used some of the sampler’s FX to add delay and reverb to the sample, if needed.
