"How did you walk away from him? He was the one you loved more than life itself. What made you leave that love behind?" he asked, staring into her eyes, trying to piece together the puzzle of each piece of pain she ever felt. She wiped a tear with the back of her hands and turned away from him, her voice cracking as she was barely able to whisper "He hurt me, and he knew that he did. When I told him that he hurt me, he ignored it and disrespected my feelings. And Oh God, as much as I loved him, as much as I will always love him, I am not willing to settle for a life with a man who disrespects me, invalidates my feelings, and projects all of the bullshit from his past relationships on to me. I loved that man more than I have ever loved anyone and any thing. Perhaps, when I am 80 years old, I will still love him but I will never regret walking away to the love that I deserve. He was the love that I wanted, and I was the love that he did not deserve. His edges were too sharp, he was too broken and I... I was too vulnerable."

when snow says "it's the things we love most that destroy us" we always assume it's about lucy gray but are we sure he's talking about lucy gray and not about his love for power and control that destroyed his relationship with lucy and with sejanus and later destroyed him as a human being

i like to think that the tentacles in dungeon meshi are kinda like mushrooms or perhaps even lichens in that they are very confusing to identifty and have 200 completely different species that look very similar ("delicious brown tentacle vs BROWN DEATH TENDRIL") and you need to be an Expert to determine the difference between some of the more confusing species and some of them have like 300 different sexes and some of them are actually composite creatures composed of several different species and somehow yeast is involved and also no one really knows half of whats going on with them and in like 50 years someones gonna figure out that uhm actually these are two completely different types of tentacle creatures that arent related like at All they jusf happen to look similar and oh btw that one common house mold is actually a tentacle

got a worm nibbling my brain. can someone help me find a piece of obscure media?
webcomic/indie comic from the 2010s. basically a sci-fi short story about a young girl (with red hair?) who was being raised by scientists as part of an experiment. she receives a haircut/has her head shaved, in preparation for her annual brain scan/testing. it is revealed that while her body is human, her "brain" is artificial, made of computer implants throughout her skull and spine. at some point her biological mother (also a scientist on the same campus?) encounters her and is repulsed, viewing her as a machine who has murdered her daughter.
it was very poignant and it bruised my heart and i can NOT find it anywhere

Anyway. Bi and Mspec Lesbians aren't a hotly "debated" topic or even new to queer culture, it's just the newest thing that bullies who REALLY want to be homophobic and even racist use to justify harassing gay people they don't like.
It's the thinnest possible veneer of progressive language wrapped around TERF and reactionary rhetoric so that they can feel righteous for forming an angry mob against vulnerable targets. If you're gullible enough to fall for the newest wave of bigotry within the queer community, and turn on your allies because they're "confusing" or "invading your spaces," the SAME way they turned on bi/pan labels, trans people, xenogenders, neopronouns, and aroace people before this, then get lost.

Ah, I love that edition of the Life Series where Etho was teamed with a short brown-haired man who has an association to the color green and a height complex. We really noticed how insane they are about each other after that one.

And babe, I love you, more than I have ever loved anyone in my entire life, more than anyone has ever loved in the universe. I love you. But dear God, I do not like you. The love that I have for you is one that they will talk about, someday, when we're both gone. Our love story will have a cult following, books will be written about it. It will be discussed in high school literature classes, and maybe, just maybe, it may be one of the most powerful love stories ever told. The tale of a girl, who just loved a boy with all her heart, but she did not like him.

Imagine coming home after a long day and they just hug you. They hug you in a way that melts all the tension from your muscles, and makes the stresses of the day fade into some distant memory. It’s one of those hugs you feel like you could fall asleep in, but you don’t want to because you want to savor every ounce of it even though you know you’ll get a million more of them
