Mr. Mojo said that Tumblr is like the kids' table. Twitter folks are over there talking about politics, but Tumblr's off to the side cutting up, and no one understands anything they're on about. They just shout 'Scorsese' and then everyone falls down laughing.

A New Development in Pornbots?

So I'm checking my blog activity and I see a new follower without an icon. I prep my Block-and-Report finger but then I see that they liked a post, oh maybe just a newbie then, or someone like me who left tumblr for awhile and is trying to rebuild. So, I take a look at their blog. And I'm blasted with with multiple posts of close-up vag. Wow, not expecting that!

Can bots like posts, now? What else can they do?

I think the main difference between the arrival of the twitter refugees and the reddit refugees is that twitter refugees came into tumblr like colonizers. They proceeded to ignore our existing cultural ecosystem and insisted we all had to adhere to their imported moral and practical standard, or else we were Bad. They fully came in expecting to 'civilize' us. Meanwhile, redditors just washed ashore on their canoes and immediately became fascinated with our existing culture. They just want to learn more about tumblr and are excited to become a part of us, not evangelize with weird puritanical belief system.

And, yknow, it probably helps that the reditors aren't 14 year olds.
