Great Dresden House - 1915
I finally finished this! It was originally meant to be a Tudor house, but I wanted a big country house for my 1920s story so it is styled much later.
Lots of cc, as usual. Thank you to cc creators who make building these historical houses so much easier. Essential cc is listed here:
Heritage Collection by @harrie-cc
Tudor and Gothic sets by @felixandresims
Gorgeous Georgians collections by @anachrosims
Historical wallpapers, portraits and carpets by @anachrosims
Orjanic part 1 and 2 by @harrie-cc and @felixandresims
Rugs by @thejim07
Apothecary Cabinet by @magnolianfarewell
Roses by @vampireloreskill
Cottage Garden Stuff pack by @plumbobteasociety
Various clutter by @sg1505, @aggressivekitty and @leosims4cc
Find this build on the gallery under my origin id: simsthroughtime. Make sure to have cc selected when searching and have MOO enabled before placing.
There is so much cc that uploading trayfiles might be pointless... I can always update to include the tray without any cc if people would like it. Let me know!

Day 1, Part 1
Getting to Know You
Day 1 involves the women checking out Henry, then Henry scoping out the girls. Then, free will will commence.
At 7am the following morning, the woman with the lowest score will be going home... Hopefully with her head still on her shoulders!
All of the women bar Ann of Cleves heart fart over Henry.
Henry’s turn to scope the room.
All the girls get sparklies, except for Catherine of Aragon. Henry realllly likes Kathryn Howard!
Henry has three bolts with Kathryn Howard, two bolts with Bessie Blount and Katherine Parr, and one bolt with Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Ann of Cleves and Jane Seymour.
He realllly likes Kathryn!
Kathryn makes the first move of all the women, and gains Henry’s attention. He promptly grosses her out. (Yes, that is Henry VIII, King of Simland and Franksim, defender of the Faith and Lord of Iresimland, picking his nose!)
Lucky for him, Kathryn seems to like it!
So, being the elegant and charming man that he is, Henry then burps in Kathryn’s face!
I have no words!
Ann of Cleves then makes her move. Henry does not look particularly interested.
Ann quickly changes tact.
Ann: I really do like your hat, Your Grace, but I can imagine you look amazing in a crown...
Henry: +++
Henry then makes the first move with Anne Boleyn.
Henry: Well then, little lady... How do you like trinkets?
Anne: I can not be bought, Old Man!
Uhhh... Maybe not the best start to the challenge Anne?!
Anne: Is he watching me walk away? He’ll be back for more!
But Henry is still distracted by Kathryn and doesn’t give Anne another thought.
Bessie is decidedly uninterested in all of the events unfolding.
Meanwhile, Henry and Ann sit down to talk about crowns again.
Ann: I think a bronze crown would bring out the colour of your hair, Your Grace...
Henry: But don’t you think a crown with shiny gems would make my eyes sparkle?
Anne has decided a change of tact is necessary, and attempts to flatter Henry to get back in his good graces.
Henry: Yes, yes, I am terribly strong and handsome...
Anne’s trick seems to work!
Mousy Jane Seymour, who has been hanging back chatting to some of the other women, finally makes her move. Just take a look at that grin!
Jane: I really do think that your colour is green, Your Grace...
Kathryn: Obviously his colours are orange and red, you fool. Just look at his hair and clothing!
Henry: Red and orange you say? Yes, yes, they must be my colours. Brings out the sparkle in my eyes!
Jane: >/
Bessie finally stops standing alone with her hands on her hips and deigns to join in.
Bessie: Well, Your Grace, aren’t you a fine specimen of a man?!
Henry: The finest in the land, actually! Thanks for noticing!
Day 1, Part 2 to follow soon!

Through The Ages: Tudor (Story)
Two mysterious nobles showed up at the English court of King Henry VIII. Some say they bore a striking resemblance to some Ancient Roman Statues, others tell of Norse myths about them. However, the truth is that they drank from a fountain of youth as young adults. And they’ve been wandering the earth ever since. But that’s a secret they can’t let get out.
The elder, James Semper (supposedly aged 21) has found favor as one of King Henry’s close friends and advisors. James is romantic, ambitious, good, and wants a soulmate. He’s even been granted the dukedom of Somerset. Of course, he must be careful with the advice he gives the king; the king is known to have a sharp temper.
The other, Alice Aeternum (supposedly aged 20) has become a lady in waiting for King Henry’s fourth wife, Anne of Cleves. She is romantic, outgoing, cheerful, and wants to be a friend of the world. She’s strikingly beautiful to the court, so she has many suitors. The king has even taken a liking to her, and some say she’s being considered as his fifth wife.
Of course, James and Alice are expected to get along. As some of the closest to the King, they’ve danced together at balls and parties quite a few times.
However, there’s something more there. James and Alice have a long history, spanning thousands of years and they’re still completely in love. But they know they can’t marry, as the king would consider that a betrayal. He might send both of them to the Tower of London where they’d meet a grim demise. So their relationship has to be kept a secret.
A quick kiss can always be exchanged in a quiet corridor though.

Don't tell me you're giving up on this! It's adorable.
Aw thank you! For the moment, I’m giving up on the full body version and I’m working on just the skirt part as a standalone. I’ve almost got it but I think I’m going to have to rip the bow off the back. D;

Dorsey Court - 1538
Dorsey Court is a Tudor Manor, built in Yorkshire in 1538. It features a large entrance, great hall, parlour, solar, kitchens, private chapel, library, bedrooms and gardens. It is decorated in a mid/late 16th C style, for a wealthy noble family.
I used a LOT of cc to create this house. Because of this, I have uploaded the house as a shell to the gallery. I will also upload this version but be warned - you need basically all of @zx-ta’s medieval cc, all the medieval creations by @thejim07 and the medieval pieces done by @historicalsimslife too. Some of the pictures and tapestries are my own personal recolours.
BUT, if you just want the shell, the only cc you will need is as follows:
- Tudor and Gothic sets by Felixandre
THAT’S IT! If you are struggling to find these, let me know and I can direct you to a download spot for them :)
As always, search on the gallery for this house by looking up simsthroughtime. You will need to have bb.moveobjects on before placing, and make sure to check the custom content box when you search for the house.
** Historical accuracy note: The private chapel is me indulging myself. Despite my desperate research to prove otherwise, most manors by this time did not have chapels attached. I just wanted it and it’s cute ok?!

Day 6, Results
When the man came to, darkness had fallen over the palace...
His head was spinning and he had stars in his eyes...
But he remembered who he was. He was Henry VIII, King of Simland, and one of these two beautiful women standing in front of his was to be his wife and Queen!
And he finally knew which woman that was to be!
Henry approached with a rose, hoping that she would accept...
And lucky for him, she accepted. Bessie Blount, his love and Queen!
Poor Jane!
It was a rather close competition in the end.
Scoring for day 6 was as follows:
Lifetime Relationship + (Daily Relationship x 0.5) + (Number of Bolts x 3) + 5 Points for Crush OR 10 Points for Love
1. Bessie Blount: 32 + (100 x 0.5) + (2 x 3) + 5 = 93
2. Jane Seymour: 29 + (100 x 0.5) + (1 x 3) + 5 = 87
Isn’t it ironic that the winner of the challenge is the only woman who wasn’t actually married to Henry VIII?!
Thanks so much for sticking around, and for the comments and likes.
Engagement, wedding and random other pics will be coming up soon!
Big thank you to @winterinverona & @dinuriel for your challenges that wee so useful for lending the framework for this challenge!
Farewell!

Through The Ages: Tudor (Lookbook)
James Semper
Hat: Martelli Hat by AlbumenPlumbob
Outfit: Tredony Jacket Striped Pants by Zx-Ta
This sort of outfit would have been worn by upper class men and nobles in the Tudor Era. It’s not perfect, the jacket should be a little longer, but the shape is right. It has golden embroidery on the neck and jacket.
Hat: Martelli Hat by AlbumenPlumbob
Outfit: King’s Finest Robes Conversion by Cepzid Sims Creation.
This outfit has a similar shape to the last. It’s a little fancier, and the colors are a little too vivid to be completely accurate. But it has the general pieces, jacket layers, puffy shorts, and tights.
Alice Aeternum
Hood: French Hood by Teanmoon
Dress: Anna Henrietta Dress Recolors by StrangeStorytellerSims
I’m generally better at describing women’s fashion so here we go. Women in the Tudor era would have long hair, which would be worn up under a hood. The modern hood was the French Hood, originating in France (go figure). It exposed a scandalous amount of hair. So the ever changing Alice is wearing one. Makeup wasn’t very fashionable, but she has natural rosy cheeks and red lips. She also wears a layered necklace of pearls which matches the pearls on the hood, with a sapphire pendant, which matches her eyes. Her dress follows the most popular silhouette. The sleeves should be a little puffier but it’s fine. The neckline is square and very geometric and the bodice is triangular with an a-line skirt. It’s red, which I think looks good with her blue accents and matches the red hood.
Hood: French Hood by Teanmoon
Dress: Anne Boleyn’s Dress by Linzlu
She’s wearing the same style hood in yellow this time, and the same pedant. Her dress has the same general shape. The sleeves are in the right shape this time but I don’t think it needs much explaining, since it’s so similar.
Hood: Gabled Hood by Teanmoon
Dress: Lady In Waiting Dress by Fairy Sims Medieval
This is a generally more old fashioned outfit. Her hood is gabled, which is an older style of hood, covering all the hair. It’s also more English and traditional. Her dress was another popular style with a round neckline and jewels across the chest. It’s sort of a dull outfit with the black hood and the black dress.

Something nice about 5 or so Simblrs
As this seems to be the day I'm posting all the things I'm unreasonably nervous about, here's my contribution to "Nice things about..."
lilmisslau You were the first one to ever send me an ask, and such a nice one, too! That's how I discovered your blog and I spent a lot of time reading it. You are a novelist!
purzelsims And you were the first one to actually follow me back and like my posts! Your Sims seem so very real to me, especially when the kids were smaller, they might have been my neighbours - actually I wish I had such nice and funny neighbours...
fleurdeprairie Your enthusiasm is amazing, whether you are playing, decorating, expressing positive feelings, or deleting important backups :p If you love someone you let them feel it, and that's a rare gift.
tudorsims Your Tudor pictures put that blissful far-away look on my face, which I usually get in museums, cathedrals and medieval city centers.
morganaplays I had bookmarked you for ages before I started a simblr and could follow you. I'm still a huge fan of the poems and the Helah & Netty story, but I've eventually come to love every other style you went through since.
chillimps What a pity I didn't discover your time legacy sooner! I'm kinda excited and scared what will happen next. I don't want anything bad to happen, your boys all have such cute puppy eyes!
itsyuiri I love your Princess Challenge! And the Strangtown adventures remind me of Sims 2 days!
sims3medieval And I love your challenge, too! And your Middle Earth world. As I said before, your depiction of the medieval reminds me very much of all the ballads and poems I read at university.
jepensedoncjesims You made me open the Rilke complete edition in my bookshelf. I'm reading the tales of Venice at the moment.
