It had been a particular cold and dark winter for the entire Kingdom Of Praaven. And today was no exception when the Royal Family gathered to bid their last farewells to the King and Queen.
Black flags were raised all over the countryside from village to village as a tribute to the late King Arthur and his beloved wife, Queen Gertruud. The two of them was infected with a virus worse than Ye Ol' Cold and none of them lived through it.

Normally I let the siblings move out to their new marriages and let story progression do the rest. But for nostalgic reasons, I check the household of Princess Odette (Eldest child to the King & Queen)
She’s not only married to the occult but also a mother of 2 possible heirs were her brothers to vanish. Oh, and she invested 1,000 coins to become partner in the sightseeing wagon… 🌙

Sims3Medieval's Top Medieval Mods for TS3 (Part one)
1. Medieval Userinterface by votenga at ModTheSims
Simply, opening up my game feels like I'm in an actual medieval game and not just the modern Sims 3 world. (Can we even say modern after S4 came out?) It's more than just a loading screen, it makes your entire dashboard medieval-ish as you can see in the last picture above - and isn't it marvelous!
2. The Woodcutter by @anitmb with cool TSM objects by @mspoodle1 (Link here) / Give your medieval sims a Woodcutter career!
This is just absolutely brilliant. In my medieval save there are no roads/aka no cars, there are no community lot rugs or careers. That's something I've chosen to avoid having simmers run around a huge map to maintain a career 4,5 sim hours away.
The Woodcutter mod is brilliant! You plant a Tree spawner, you buy a hammer in hobbies and BAM you got yourself a woodcutter career. What I love the most, is that the wood is now nescessary for your simmers to even light a fire or do whittling. (Secondary mod)
The animations are absolutely on point. I love this mod and you can also sell the woods for a living!
3. Bucket Of Water by @anitmb and @mspoodle1
First, I cannot believe how long it took me to find these TSM mods for The Sims 3. Being a huge part of The medieval community in TS3 I thought I knew most - but happily not.
This Bucket Of Water mod simply forces my medieval simmers to go to their nearest Town Square, draw a bucket of water and bring it home to have 1 bath. The more buckets, the more baths. Children can also use this mod which is needed if you're in a medieval family of 7. For my gameplay, I placed an animated medieval well in all 3 Townsquares. This way all the small houses are located closely to a well.

King Arthur was in his latest of years while spending as much time as possible with his younger children around him.
Prince James, next to take over the throne one day, was playing with his two younger siblings on this special Yule Feast day. A day to be remembered.
Traditionally, a large log would be selected in the forest on Christmas Eve, decorated with ribbons, dragged home and laid upon the hearth. After lighting it was kept burning throughout the twelve days of Christmas. It was considered lucky to keep some of the charred remains to kindle the log of the following year.
