So I shifted to TUA again last night and I feel I need to share this story of when me, Klaus, and Ben were younger.

When we were younger we would sneak behind Reginald's back and play stupid games (Like board games and card games but he still didn't want us to do that) so one time we were in Klaus' room and we were playing Uno. I shoved Klaus of the bed before he could say Uno because I was loosing and that ensued an arguement and thats how we got our rooms searched for cards for Reginald to take away.

HC: TUA game night

1. Luther

Luther will always bring out the Monopoly. No matter how much everyone protests, he always wants to play Monopoly. Until one day you join for game night and when you see him pull it out, you go: “Oh, did we not want friends anymore? Because you only play that game when you don’t want friends.” Luther looks down at it in confusion then immediately returns it to the pile of games. 

2. Diego

Diego always wants to play Twister. He really has two main reasons. First, he’s really good at it. And second, when it’s not his turn playing everyone looks so fucking hilarious he can’t help but love it. 

3. Allison

Allison isn’t the type to commit to a long board game, so she sticks to the shorter 20-30 minute card games. She does really love Sushi Go Party and FLUXX. 

4. Klaus

Klaus loves party games. Especially ones where you have to guess stuff, like Code Names, Taboo or Mysterium. If he can get Ben to be on his team, they’re an unstoppable force. After the 5th time they obliterate everyone else, the family forbids them from being on the same team for any game that involve guessing. 

5. Five

Five might look like the kind of guy who likes strategy games, but he just likes the silly ones. He loves Exploding Kittens and Unstable Unicorns. He’s very good at them and is always trying to beat his own record for quickest winning time. 

6. Ben

Ben loves long complicated games. He’ll play just about anything, but if given the choice, he’ll pick a game that goes for hours and hours or even across multiple sessions if he can get away with it. He loves Betrayal of House on the Hill or Pandemic or even Dead of Winter. 

7. Viktor

Viktor really doesn’t care what games they play. They just really enjoy spending bonding time with their family. If he had to choose, he likes some of the longer card games. He’s always down for Sushi Go Party, but he also likes things like Munchkin and is always down for a game of Jenga. 

Bonus!Lila

Lila loves those murder mystery type games. Like Werewolf or Coup. She also really loves Betrayal of House on the Hill, but only if she gets to be the bad guy. 

Bonus 2.0 Sparrow!Ben

This Ben likes word games because he is good at them. Also because he can make fun of the other people playing. His go to is Scrabble, but will also murder at Bananagrams.

He had his first youth football camp out there in his hometown, Jalen Ramsey joined us as well. Maybe it's still fresh. Yeah. Last time we really had a chance to talk with you, you were talking about contemplating retirement. What changed in your mind? Or why did you decide it's not time to hang it up yet? In all honesty, the past two, maybe three seasons, I've taken time to have that evaluation period to really process. I mean, this game comes with a lot a lot of physical, mental, mental and emotional toll. So just really taking taking time to process and like I said, evaluate what I wanted to do. Because when I'm when I'm doing this thing, I never want to be halfway in or it's a full commitment, full investment. So this this off season, I was a little bit more vocal about that evaluation period, which which raised a lot more coverage. But I've, I've went through that process for the past 2 or 3 years. And how would you feel like Miami then respected you giving them that time or being okay with you making that decision at this time? I'm so appreciative of my organization, Chris Greer and the rest of the organization. The franchise really is first class everything, so they definitely gave me the time, support to do whatever I needed to do, talk to my family and reevaluate everything. We don't really look at all the other moving pieces within the division or around the league because we feel like we have enough. We're talented enough. We're we're skilled enough, we're tough enough. We just have to do you know, it's now time to show improve that we can win those big games and live those big moments. So it doesn't matter who's traded, who's we don't we don't look at that like we have enough to beat anybody at full strength. And that's really our our mindset. That's our mentality. We have that confidence, but we just have to go out and do it. Dion Dawkins though, from Buffalo, gave you a little bulletin board material saying Miami is our city. Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins are slated to be a presence in the AFC East. Besides being one of the few teams who could possibly sustain two #1 receivers (fantasy wise). Tua's health will of course always be a concern given the recent history of concussions but at his ADP (average draft position) he is a great value In the rounds he was taken, unless reaches for. Tua could be a fringe QB1. With thier yound gen z head coach implementing a similar style that brought him success in San Frann the RBs committee would be more likely. Moestart is great when healthy. Jeff Wilson is familiar with the system. Achain the rookie is one to keep an eye on. Dolphins also added on defense with Ramsey across from Howard - arguably the best duo of secondary in the league. Geseki is out so all the volume should funnel to Waddle & Tyreek. This was especially evident in week 1.

Atlanta Falcons

Desmond Ridder, is he the future or is he a bust? The season might be the indicator. The NFC South is open thanks to the G.O.A.T. Tom Brady retring for the NFL. The exciting new draft prospect RB Bijan Robinson showed a why he was the 1st RB off the board. What was surprising was the usage Tyler got particularly in the receiving end. It could be an easy in of Bijan OR perhaps a split carry backfield. Drake London was a receiver in the 3 to 6 rounds filling in as a key cog player on many teams. What was more concerning than the output was the lack of targets from the get go. ATL may be a run 1st offense leaving Pitts and Drake in the lower rank of options for the play calling which doesn't bode well for those who drafted them. Teams who invested in Pitts as a mid tier TE are especially angry. The Falcons defense are not that stout but the team could have enough juice to compete for that division with weak offenses with the other NFC South teams.

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams were largely written off. Kupp injury woes had fantasy players skittish about drafting him despite being a target hog from Stafford who usually serves as a via low end QB back up on many teams bench. With news of Kupp out, some in the fantasy world thought Van Jefferson would step up but it was preseason darling Puka who shined in their season debut. Will the rookie be viable once Kupp returns? Will Kupp return? If you have to see a specialist for your hamstring it can't be good. He is this offense. TuTu Atwell has been a gadget player at best, not reliable week to week. Cam Akers was being passed up in drafts due to obvious reasons. Regardless of Akers clear volume opportunity, it was 2nd yr K. Williams that made the most of his snap share. Perhaps with Rams Defense they can be a bye plug n play. Questions about Aaron Donald's will to actually play (contemplated retirement after the superbowl) and loss of Ramsey, we'll have to see where they land in rank. TE Higbee might be the Sleeper late round flier or waiver add that has the most upside.

Cleveland Browns

No one should be surprised about the dominant Browns defense. Sure the off timing of Burrow and company pooped 💩 the bed, but Myless Garrett and friends have played this divisional matchup close in the past 5 years. They knew how to shut the Bengals out & get to Burrow. Chubb I fell has been disrespected as others were ranked higher than him in the draft. He has always produced consistently with only few injuries. Hunt is now gone from the team so the passing volume only boosts his value as a top tier RB. Ford is the back up but observing his week 1 work, on the offset, doesn't seem to be factored in the running game plans. Watson again hasn't played a long stretch of football in about 3 years so adjusting will take longer. The hope he can return to form from his Houston days are the crutch. He has skills that separate him physically from other QBs. He'll need to capitalize on those to justify where he was drafted on teams as a starter. His resurgence leads in the the Amari Coopers and People's Jones of the world. Njoku chemistry with Watson is what to watch.

Dallas Cowboys

Everything is bigger in Texas. The big D put a hurting on the G-men. The past few years with Dan Quinn as coordinator has shown Dallas steadily becoming one of the best (if not the best) defense in the league. Parsons, Diggs, this team is not slacking in defensive Stallworths. Questions abound about Daks place in the organization. The team is loaded and expectations are even higher. This may be common for 🤠 cowboy fans but this year is especially interesting. Take into account the 40-0 prime time win. The box score didn't match the fantasy output. Prescott didn't max out his line and newly acquired Cooks got injured. Pollard showed why the fantasy world were vouching for him to start. Jerry Jones and Zeek parted ways leaving that opportunity for Pollard to become the #1 RB. Gallup is not really a factor. They have a promising crop of new TEs with Dalton off to the other side of Texas. Kellen Moore the coordinator left for the Chargers. Mike McCarthy is now calling plays in addition to his head coaching duties. He too is on the hot seat. Let's see if he can replicate his Green Bay calling Days for this offense.

Detroit Lions

Lions hype train is real. The Lions have built upon thier first winning record season in a long time upsetting a division rival (costing them the playoffs after thier slim hopes were dashed right before the start of the game) running off Rodgers to the Jets. Lions beat the defending Super Bowl Champions Chiefs arguably an upset but smart betting hedge. The Lions are feisty. They have adopted the head coaches moxy and it shows. Goff is slightly more than serviceable. His stat line off the charts. AmonRa is a top tier WR. Gibbs the rookie has high hopes. Even with Montgomery from the Bears coming over and padding his stats, Gibbs is the future. It may be a 60/40 split but as the season progresses we may see a shift. Swift is out and this new RB duo is the immediate payoff. Marvin Jones is back with his OG team but was not a factor. Be on the lookout though. Since week 9 of last year the Lions have played zone defense. After being one of the historic worst - they have gradually become a better pass defense. With Hockenson traded mid season last year, the TE shares are up in the air.

New York Jets

Biggest hype of the off season came to a crashing halt. 4 plays in the first drive of NY great hope Rodgers...out for the season with an Achilles injury. Devastating 💔

Hard knocks, Aaron Rodgers media narrative, the recent lackluster history of the Jets franchise, big QB move, front office drama, arguably one of the best recent drafting years by the GM of the Jets with thier defense (Quinen) and offense (Garrett Wilson), all the stars aligned but a comet came crashing through. Now Wilson's stock plummets. The defense should still be one of the( if not THE) top Defenses in the league. Any of the carry overs from Green to Green (Cobb & Lazard) will not be a factor. The team is being pressured to bring in a vet preferred over the irractic Zach Wilson. But who is out there? Breece Hall may be worked back in slow but he showed out. Those who invested in Cook may have felt let down in week 1 but hold steady. They paid him big money...he will be used.

New England Patriots

Patriots were slated to be an afterthought. They brought it against the eagles. Now they look competent? Well, pencil pavorati (Matt Patricia) is no longer calling the offense. WHY!! Why would Bill have a defensive coordinator call offense plays? A genius but also a wildly abstract choice (wasn't Bills first). Lets face it. A belichick led team is the worst to figure out. He cares about winning and adjusts on the fly. Or doesn't. Makes him a hall of fame coach but a point of contention in the fantasy community. Juju added....nothing. His days are long behind. Mac Jones showed improvement but how much can you bank on with this teams fluid scheme? Bourne might be the best WR they have even if Parker returns. Ramandre still should get the focal point but with Zeek there now, that takes volume. Goal line? Pass targets? We have to wait and see how things shake out. Defense is still viable. Henry is still the TE or is Mike Geiseki gonna factor? Are either getting looks or game planned in?

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens beat the Texans but boy did it look bad. Dobbins (as bad as I feel for the person) is useless. Injury prone isn't even the word to describe. OBJ addition and Duvernay or Bateman healthy, we should see something in the air yards for Lamar. A new coordinator and Andrews injury status should have shown some promise. Truly is was more of the same. Lamar steals run yards from the RBs. Hill stepped up but Melvin Gordon on the practice squad. Fournette and Hunt haven't signed yet. The Ravens, historically, have a revolving door of RBs who outplay the RBs who made the team or were already signed before the summer OTAs. Hopefully Lamar can repeat that one year he became MVP. Time will tell.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers defense football wise will donwhat they always do under Tomlin...get better and be more of a nuance. TJ Watt as an IDP is ideal. The preseason was kind to the Pickett Pickens duo but none of that materialized in week 1. In fact it was the opposite. Pickens almost regressed it seemed. Very concerned 😟 Dionte Johnson hurt doesn't help matters. Najee will have the majority of the snap counts so let's see if he can raise himself out of the mid tier RB 3 flex type tanking. Pat F is a TE that is a fringe TE2 that could produce.

TUA Good to be True

Tua Tagovailoa is the most polarizing player in the entire NFL. Leading into the season there were analysts that believed Tua wasn't even an NFL caliber Quarterback and then there were some that said he was great but just needed the right system. I would say that even tho the ladder is closer to the truth as of right now none of those are true.

This season Tua had NFL career highs in yards per game, passing yards, passing touchdowns, touchdowns, touchdown to interception ratio, QBR and every other important Quarterback statistic. It is safe to say that Tua's problem his first two years in the league was due to Brian Flores. Although Flores was a great defensive mind and nearly took the team to the playoffs in back to back years with no offensive production, him and the dolphins 5th overall pick from the 2020 draft did not get along. There were rumors that Flores wanted Deshaun Watson, Jordan Love and Tom Brady over the highly scouted Alabama QB. That most likely made Tagovailoa lose a little bit of confidence and play with the mindset that he can't mess up or he will get benched. Now a season removed from Flores and having McDaniel it led to career highs across the board like I mentioned earlier, Tua posted over 3500 yards, 25 tds and 8 interceptions in just 12 games. That was a much needed step into the right direction the front office needed to see from him and due to his performance was granted the 5th year extension on his rookie deal.

Now that Tua has proven he play at a high level when on the field the next thing he needs to do is prove he can stay on the field for a minimum of 14 games plus the postseason. As great as the production was there were games that we really needed the QB but was not able to play due to concussions he sustained. Tua has poven that he is a hard worker and improves every year, this offseason he has committed to learning how to do damage control in regards of the wear and tear an nfl season brings. His solution was to do Jujitsu in hopes to obtain more body control after being hit by 300 pound lineman.

Only time will be able to tell if his efforts will translate to staying on the field. If that is the case, the dolphins should be on their way to having an extremely successful season next year and could end with him hoisting a Lombardi trophy.

Day 31: Apocalypse

A/N: I wanted to end inktober with a blast I think I did it. Goodbye TUA inktober I will miss you.

Now for the important part: I’ve been working on it for three weeks now and I’m very proud of the way this turned out. There are some parts that need polishing but overall I loved working on this.

It is a fact that there are many timelines in which the apocalypse happens in different ways. In this timeline the invaders from the commission destroy the world. And it’s up to the Hargreeves siblings to save the world this time.

Umbrella Academy The Board Game: Apocalypse Suite

Based off of Pandemic the board game.

The Game Board: Shows the map of the whole world and cities the game involves.

The Invader Cards: Shows how much of type of invader should be placed on the city that is picked.

The Invader pieces: There are two different types of pieces. The blue one is level 1 and the red one is level 2.

The City Cards: shows which city the invaders are to be placed on.

The Kids of the umbrella academy: Klaus was supposed to be green I just didn’t have time to paint him. I will though tomorrow.

The morning breeze was warm, with the smell of coffee and freshly baked pastries flooding Evelyn’s senses as she and Ethan walked to Dolce Vita.

She never imagined that they would get to this point. Holding hands, walking down the surprisingly quiet streets, now a married couple.

Still feeling a sense of disbelief, she smiled and shook her head, glancing down at her hand, her ring glittering in the sunlight confirming that yes, they had vowed to stay by each other's side for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health.

“What’s got you so giddy?” Ethan asked, catching her smiling to herself.

“I was just thinking about how far we've come together. We’re married! I guess it just doesn’t feel real yet.”

“I can understand that. Are you having any doubts?”

“Dr. Ramsey! I’m horrified that you would even ask such a thing!” Evelyn exclaimed, placing a hand over her heart faking distress. “No, I’m not having any doubts. You’re stuck with me until the day I die Mr. Chief of Medicine.”

“Good, because I don't intend on ever letting you get away. Oh, here we are.” Ethan announced as they approached the little café. “After you madame,” he said, holding the door open for her.

“Why thank you, kind sir.”

Entering the store, they’re both overwhelmed by all the options.

As they waited in line, Evelyn began thinking back to those Duolingo lessons that she tried taking months prior. She never liked going anywhere that she couldn’t understand the language.

Reaching the front of the line, a new drink on the menu caught her eye.

“Buongiorno. Cosa posso offrirti oggi?” the barista asked. (Good morning. What can I get for you today?)

“Buongiorno, che sapore ha tua Madre?” she asked, pointing to the item on the menu behind the barista. (Good morning. What does your mother taste like?)

“Excuse me? Did you mean to ask, che sapore ha quella bevanda?” he inquired, pointing to the same spot on the menu. (What does that drink taste like?)

Quickly trying to think back to what she said, her face dropped in horror.

“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry. I got mixed up, and I didn’t realize-”

“She was trying to learn Italian before we came, so she can order in it,” Ethan added, trying to not make her feel worse.

“Don’t worry about it,” he responded laughing, “I know how it is to try to learn a new language. I moved here three years ago and trust me, I’ve had my fair share of mishaps. The drink that you’re asking about is caffè d’un parrinu. It’s coffee with flavours of clove, cinnamon, and cocoa powder.”

“That sounds amazing.” she managed to replay still blushing furiously, hoping no one had heard her mistake.

“We’ll take two of those and two tiramisu-filled croissants please,” Ethan glanced at the barista’s name tag, “Oliver.”

“Coming right up!”

After paying, Oliver handed them a bag with their croissants and their coffees. “Here you go, have a nice day!”

“Thank you, you too,” Evelyn replied, taking Ethan’s hand and heading out.

The walk back to the hotel was quiet, neither one wanting to bring up what had just happened.

Upon entering their room, Evelyn placed her coffee on the small table and collapsed on the bed, screaming into her pillow.

“Dammit dammit dammiiittt!

Placing their bag and his coffee down, Ethan sat down on the bed next to her and rubbed her back soothingly.

“Sweetheart, I know you’re embarrassed, but please, if the other guests are going to file a noise complaint against us, let’s be wise about what we use the opportunity for.”

Sitting up and laughing through tears she wrapped her arms around him.

“I know what would cheer you up.”

“What?”

“Here,” he said, handing her his credit card, “take this and go get whatever you want.”

“I can't do that.” she protested.

“Yes, you can. Consider it your wedding gift.”

“Thank you!” she exclaimed, pushing him down on the bed and showering him with kisses. “Don’t you want to come with me?”

“Surprise me,” he responded, giving her one last lingering kiss.

About an hour later, Evelyn returned with two bags in hand.

“Thank you!” she exclaims, handing Ethan his card back.

“Of course, darling. Did you get everything you wanted?”

“I did.”

“Excellent, I slipped my mind to mention it to you earlier, but tonight, after dinner, we’ll be going on a gondola ride.”

“Booyah!” she squealed, pumping her fist in the air and dancing.

“If you do that on the boat, trust that I will push you off.”

She smiled and kissed him, “No you won’t. I think you’re all talk Dr. Ramsey.”

That evening, after dinner, the newlyweds boarded the gondola and began floating along The Grand Canal, the setting sun shining a glorious golden light upon the water.

Evelyn sat across from Ethan, admiring how bright his blue eyes looked in the light, his face a look of calm peacefulness. She didn’t think that she’d ever seen him so relaxed.

Before she met Ethan, she thought she knew what love was. She had only loved one boy from the age of eight until eighteen. Her first and only boyfriend. When she left home for school, they tried to make long distance work, but slowly fell out of touch. It made her sad, but it didn’t break her.

Then she thought of when Ethan left for two months to go to the Amazon. She had felt more hurt at that moment than she did in her entire life. Hurt that Ethan hadn’t contacted her or even mentioned to her that he was leaving. Hurt that he had tried to erase all the progress that they had made in the previous year.

But they overcame it all. They stayed and fought together through everything that was thrown at them. From working tirelessly to find a cure for Naveen, to the attack on the Senator and the deaths of their friends. Leland Bloom had even tried to overthrow the hospital, but they took him down together.

Now here they were, Chief of Medicine and Head of the Diagnostics Team. They made each other stronger and pushed each to always be their best.

He was the love of her life and she was the love of his, and together they would be unstoppable.

Catching her staring, Ethan smiled and took her hands in his, “I love you Evelyn.”

“I love you too Ethan.”

Hargreeves Family Feud

I wrote this fun little fic for the TUA AUgust event! I want to thank @salvador-daley for beta/proofreading. <3 No real warnings on this one - maybe a cuss word here or there. Hope you all enjoy!

The lights in the studio flicker as the theme music begins to play. Only seconds ago they were fighting to stop the apocalypse. Now, the Hargreeves find themselves on some sort of game show set. They are positioned behind a long podium facing six equally confused strangers. The wall behind them says ‘The Carsons’ in big block letters.

“Five, get us the hell out of here,” Allison hisses.

“Wait, look!” Diego nudges them to turn around. Sure enough, ‘The Hargreeves’ is spelled out on the wall behind them. Looking around, they notice that they are standing in the numeric order assigned to them as children. Offstage, a red flashing light reads ‘Applause’, and the sound of a hundred people clapping comes roaring out of the dark. Klaus starts clapping along, his siblings looking skeptically at first, then joining in as well.

Suddenly, the host emerges from somewhere backstage, doing a funky little dance as he steps forward to more applause. “I’m your host, Heave Starvey and this is-”

“Family Feud!” The audience finishes his sentence in unison.

“Let’s meet our families.” Heave comes up and leans on the podium next to Luther. “Hey, big man. I hear y’all are superheroes. Why don’t you introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about that.”

Luther, suddenly struck with stage fright, inches into the microphone, taking an uncomfortable pause before he speaks. “I’m Lu…” His amplified voice startles him at first. “Luther... and we are the Hargreeves. My siblings and I are trying to stop the apocalypse,” he says, aiming his earnest face to the camera.

“Is that so?” Heave raises a skeptical eyebrow to his audience. They respond with uproarious canned laughter that rings hollow and ends just as abruptly as it started. Then the host addresses number 2. “Let’s meet your brother Deee-Aay-Go! So, I hear you are pretty good with a knife.”

“Saving lives, baby!” He blows a kiss to the camera. “Hi, Mom!”

“And you, princess, what is your special power?” Heave reaches out to kiss the back of Allison’s hand, but she snatches it away.

“Wouldn’t you like to know? Tell us why you’re holding us here and I’ll show you!”

“All right, all right. Keep your secrets.” He makes another face at the audience.

Heave stops, taking Klaus in. “Now, this man knows fashion.”

“Thank you, Heave,” says Klaus, flattered. “I wore my nicest outfit.”

“All right Klaus, and will you introduce us to your little brother, here?” Five just grumbles and sneers with his arms crossed tightly over his chest. “On second thought, let’s move on to Miss Vanya. Vanya, how are you, my dear?” Vanya blushes and hides her face, overwhelmed by the whole experience. “Aw, she’s shy. That’s all right, honey. “Let’s play! I need Luther and Jimbo up here.”

Luther and his counterpart dash up to the double sided podium in the center of the stage. “Hands on your buzzers, gentlemen. First question. We asked 100 people to name something they might keep as a memento.”

Luther smashes his buzzer a little too hard. “Moon rocks!”

“Moon rocks?... Survey says-”

Eeeehhhh. The harsh sound is punctuated by a red ‘X’ flashing on the monitor above.

“Okay. Carsons get a chance to steal.” Heave pivots on his heels. “Carsons, name something you might keep as a memento.”

They huddle up and whisper. Jimbo emerges looking confident. “Lisa used to snip a lock of hair from each of the boys for the scrapbook… Lock of hair.”

Five scoffs. “Only an idiot would take a kill trophy. Sentimentality is for the weak.”

“Show me ‘lock of hair’!” cries Heave.

Ding. The answer appears on the board.

“Carsons, are you going to pass or play?”
