I found myself at the entrance, of what I didn't know. Pushing the heavy door open, I quickly realized I'd interrupted a funeral service.

"You're here! I'm so happy to see you!"

He pulled me into a tight embrace before my brain could decipher what my eyes were seeing.

"V-Victor?"

"You're just in time," he smiled, "it won't be long now."

"For what?"

He didn't answer, but instead motioned for me to go to the back of the church.

Overwhelming dread grew with each step I took.

Once close enough, I hesitated to look inside the casket, already knowing who would be laying there.

"Does it hurt?"

"It'll be over before you know it, I promise."

"…Will you stay with me?"

"Of course."

I turned back to look at him.

Do you remember Diego the ship's cat of the HMS Unicorn? Unfortunately it was announced on 9 February that he died suddenly. He was often referred to as 'The Captain' as he liked to sit in the Captain's Cabin behind the desk, as you can see there. RIP Diego
