In real life, it’s finally spring. But for my story, it’s about to be Thanksgiving.
I’m just about finished with the first piece of an epic, 3-part, novella-sized story for Vicky, and I just have to say that I haven’t been so INTO a character or storyline probably since before my son was born. I’ve even enjoyed reminiscing over some of her ancient TS2-era stories from back when she was in high school. It’s been fun.
So much fun that I forgot all about the little uni update I was supposed to post before it. I’ll probably still get the uni update out first, because I’m sure this massive story could use some editing.
Vicky is a brat, an epic turd, and so much fun to write. I guess I’ve always liked to write characters who have a little bit of a mean streak. What does that say about me? lol!
Anyway, it’s been refreshing to be really immersed in a story again.

im surprised this time of year doesnt bother me as much as it probably should considering i was homeless this time 9 years ago.. but this time 10 years ago was also not great bc i was so scared about living alone with my mom.. yet it was also a nostalgic time so....??? lol
10 years ago when we moved to our own place.. it was renovated so it had that New Smell.. new wood... i loved it and now i associate the wood smell with moving... but i also played SO much sims 2 during that time, i learned how to make custom content. i was getting better at utau. browsing piapro a lot for new songs i couldnt find on yt or nico. i downloaded pocaloid that halloween (happy belated 10 year anniversary to that) and i would use that a LITTLE bit but not much since i didnt really know how to use it yet. and while my mom was shopping she would drop me off at the movies to go see whatever
9 years ago when we were staying at His House (not *his* house. he lived with his mom lmao) it sucked and i was missing so much school. like i was glad i was missing school lol but i wasn't in ideal conditions, you know. not a lot of good going on. one night my mom got drunk and kicked me out into the cold night, then He came home. He knew i didnt like or trust him but i guess he wanted to get on my good side lol so he took me to walmart and bought me sims 3. so i associate thanksgiving with playing ts3.. and ts2 i guess?? thats where the nostalgia stops though bc the rest of the year SUCKED and just kept getting worse lmao

Park Legacy, abridged
5: Salt of the Earth
there’ll only be a sparse 1-part summary of this generation. let me explain, but tl;dr: it’s the Seasons generation...
so, Selene grew up and moved to Oasis Springs, which, looking back was a really weird choice, because it’s the desert, and I wanted to focus on gardening and fishing this generation. but I did it. and they made natural life in the desert work.
I made a spouse for Selene this time instead of downloading one. Charley made her living as a gardener and occasional florist. Selene was an angler and I think I had her take a part time job for a bit, can’t recall what it was though.
I actually really liked Selene and Charley as a couple; I thought they were very sweet. it’s just, their generation was sooooooooo boring. so boring. I really thought I’d give up at this point because I ran out of new shit to do. Charley made pretty good money as a gardener/florist though, and they definitely tie into each other pretty well.
anyway, they had two kids named Falcon (brown haired boy) and Raven (black haired girl...get it? haha). I have pictures of these two as teenagers but they’re like, swimming and I’m worried tittybot is gonna come after me so no. the dice picked Falcon as my next heir, so that’s what we went with.
EP thoughts: [tl;dr uhhhh/10]
my thoughts on ts4 seasons is the same as my thoughts on seasons from ts2-3. it’s there. weather should and should always have been a basegame feature and I’ll die on that hill. the calendar feature is pretty cool, and the custom holidays are fun enough. but man, I can’t even assign it a rating because seasons is so necessary. while at the same time, it’s so bland. 4/10 whatever fuck off ea.
