Luke "Why are you here?"

Cedric "Hmm? ...Oh! I was just browsing Melody's books."

Luke "Ugh. First she takes the television away, and now my privacy, too! I'm nearly trapped in that room, I deserve to have the house to my use when she's away! This isn't what I'm paying her for. I'm—I'm going to file a complaint!"

Cedric "Ah... I'm sorry, but I don't understand. Melody's forcing you to stay in that room?"

Luke "She could as well!! It's becoming impossible to live here-"

Cedric "Please, calm down. As it happens, I was just about to leave."

Luke "Hmph. Good."

Cedric "But, ah... if my presence bothers you, I would suggest considering alternative housing solutions. I can't promise to stay away from my own home."

Luke Who does that man think he is... this is not his home! He—he doesn't even clean around here! How can I know if he's even really married to Melody? I didn't see any wedding party.

Other housing solutions... ugh. Like I wouldn't be out of here already if this town had any.

Autonomous crafting for all teen+ Sims

I've never before been so happy to share a creation! Get ready to get crafting, because it's about to get autonomous! Released today in collaboration with the wonderful @joplayingthesims who has built a community lot for the mod, seen in the pictures below. Exciting!

In my game, I have a community lot with crafting stations for Sims who can't afford one, or don't have space for one. But as I visited it recently with one of my college students wanting to learn flower arrangement, I got a bit depressed by all the empty stations and the other visitors just standing around chatting. I wondered if anyone had added autonomy, and I came upon iCad's autonomy enabler. While neat, it only adds autonomy for the active household which is the opposite of what I wanted. So I made my own that enables it for visiting Sims as well, only to quickly realize how annoying that got. All these Sims asking me to pick a recolor for them, blergh! So I went on tweaking, fixing the annoyances as they came up, and here we are! Finally it is possible to have a lively crafting studio where all Sims participate, without being annoying for you the player! Are you excited? Because I am excited!

What does the mod do? - Enables autonomy on "make many" and "continue" (see readme for more info on why not make one) for all five original crafting types - Robots, toy making, flower arrangement, pottery and sewing - Does NOT charge your Sims money for background Sim crafting. Money sounds and visuals show for all Sims, but only your current households crafting charges household funds. - By default only autonomous on community lots. Has optional autonomy on residential/apartment lots, you can enable autonomy on those lot types by placing the Autonomy Toggler object somewhere on the lot (custom object made using parts of the FT crafting clutter, found in hobbies/misc for 1 simoleon). I set it up this way as residential autonomy sounds irritating to me, but I'm all about flexibility for the user. Perhaps you want to run arts classes at your residential playable school, or you simply like autonomy more than I do :) Please note that autonomy advertisement is tuned with community lot use in mind, so it might be higher than you'd want for residential. If there's interest I am happy to make a second version with lower advertising for those who primarily want residential use. If you are somewhat familiar with TTAB edits yourself, you can try changing attenuation code to low or medium to limit advertisement distance which will reduce appeal to Sims. VER 2: Toggler object now also works on community lots, turning off autonomy if present on community lot. Residential/apartment behavior remains the same as before. - Fixes annoyances with background crafting, such as selecting recolors and pop ups about progress - Changes inventory mechanics to allow for owned studio-type use, in case you'd like a friendly owner Sim present to provide instruction. Crafting now only goes to business lot owner if done by an employee, otherwise crafting Sim gets the object. Includes home business, so if it bothered you that family members don't get to keep their work, this also fixes that. If that part annoys you, see readme for how to remove this feature.

Conflicts: Only known conflict is iCad's original autonomy enabler, you have to pick if you want hers version of autonomy, or mine :) Readme contains breakdown of the functionality of all parts, to help you decide a load order should you encounter conflicts. It should be possible to resolve conflicts though if there are any others, so please report them to me :)

If anyone else builds a community lot intended for autonomous use, I hope you let me know somehow so I can add links to it in my post :) If any other modders see ways to improve on what I did, please feel free to do so :) I am hoping to eventually post an update that sends all crafting to inventory to fix the make one issue, and the station clogging that happens over time.

I can't describe how much I love abandoned buildings and I wanted this one to be very ghostly looking, but in the end I couldn't resist stylizing it a bit more 🏭

TS2 [NoCC] Twikkii Island Boardwalk

This Twikkii Island Boardwalk is fully-furnished and decorated. The lot includes: Restaurant, Spa, Clothing Store, and Souvenir Shop! Additional food stall, sauna, and bathrooms.

I've play-tested this lot multiple times so there shouldn't be any issues, just keep in mind that this is a beachfront lot (4x5), and there are many spawners (11 total) on this lot- mainly for the restaurant. I tried to keep things light with the plants and deco.

Ok back to the drawing board I went after my first attempt at this. I needed to literally just build a Target, lol, we all know what it looks like. Once I saw @jacky93sims converted a few items 4t2 I knew I had to make one for Sims2 as I've jealously admired both @simkoos and @gawdlysims TS4 Target Lots. So thanks for the inspo and without ado present and official Sims2 Target Functional Community Lot [whispers, first one ever?...maybe] LOL

Melody "Good. We shall clear the air, then."

Melody "When I got pregnant, I told you the moment wasn't right. That I was still young. All these years have passed since, and with all the knowledge and power I've gained... I hoped to feel more sure by now."

Cedric "...I understand. I married you knowing that I have a wish that might never come true."

Melody "That I'm uncertain doesn't equal to no, love. But the reasons I am are rooted deep."

Melody "...I'm afraid, Cedric. There's no question that a child of ours wouldn't become a powerful magic user. What a rational way to produce a new high witch! Just as my mother did before me."

Cedric "Melody... that's never been my reason."

Melody "Oh, your intentions are clear to me. Those are my own which frighten me."

Cedric "Ah... but what else is my baby fever than a desire to pass along a part of me? I don't see a difference in wanting to forward your magic."

Melody "Coming from you, of all people! I was expecting warning words about witches playing gods, at the least."

Cedric "Haha... if I ever see you playing god, I promise I won't hold my tongue. But your concern appears rather humane to me."

Melody "And you? Wouldn't having a child with me go against your contempt for dusty witch ideals?"

Cedric "...I don't want to have a child with a high witch, but I'd be overjoyed to expand the family with the woman I love."

Melody "You'd be closing one eye to only see the side that pleases you more."

Cedric "Perhaps. But I believe it matters too that the baby would be born out of the bond we share, not because we tried to place the seeds where the magic is the strongest."

Cedric "...Take your time to consider. I won't rush you."

Melody "It's not you who are rushing me, love. As someone just reminded me, the hourglass is emptying for witches as well; the time is no longer at our side on this matter."

It was also Lux's first day of school.

The fact that she was the only child in the neighborhood was a bit of a downer, but at least she got to take a really cool yellow bus!
